a. illustrious, honorable, esteemed (Xenophon, Plato, and following): 1 Corinthians 4:10 (thus in the Sept. for נִכְבָּד, 1 Samuel 9:6; 1 Samuel 22:14; Isaiah 23:8, etc.; Sir. 11:6 Sir. 44:1, etc.).
