παρασκευάζω; perfect passive παρεσκεύασμαι; future middle παρασκευάσομαι; from Herodotus down; to make ready, prepare: namely, τό δεῖπνον (added in Herodotus 9, 82; Athen. 4, 15, p. 138), Acts 10:10 (συμπόσιον, Halt. 9, 15; 2 Macc. 2:27). Middle to make oneself ready, to prepare oneself (cf. Winer's Grammar, § 38, 2 a.): εἰς πόλεμον, 1 Corinthians 14:8 (Jeremiah 27:42 (); εἰς μάχην, εἰς ναυμαχιαν, etc., in Xenophon).
