d. מן not unfrequently expresses the idea of a thing being too much for a person, or surpassing his powers: Genesis 18:14 ׳מי הֲיִמָּלֵא דָּבָר can a thing be too hard for J.? c. with a temporal force, since, after (compare
4), chiefly late: Numbers 24:23 אֵל מִשֻּׂמוֺ after God's establishing him, Isaiah 44:7 עֿוֺלָם עַם מִשֻּׂמִי since I appointed the ancient people, Hosea 7:4; Haggai 2:16 (?) Ruth 2:18; Nehemiah 5:14; 1 Chronicles 8:8 אוֺתָם מִןשִֿׁלְחוֺ (compare 6:16) 2 Chronicles 31:10; Daniel 11:23; 12:1 (compare 9:25), Psalm 73:20 מֵהָקִיץ כַּחֲלוֺם after (one's) awaking, Job 20:4.
