or maarabah II. מַעֲרָב noun [masculine] west (late) (place of sunset); — מִמַּעֲרָבָה ( = בָ֯הּ, compare De Ges § 91 e) Isaiah 45:6 from its setting-place (opposed to מִמִּזְרַחשֶֿׁמֶשׁ); מַעֲרָב opposed to מִזְרָח also 43:5; 59:19; Psalm 103:12; 107:3, so ׳לַמּ westward 1 Chronicles 7:28; 12:16 (van d. H. v.12:15), 26:16, 18; ׳מ opposed to מוֺצָא Psalm 75:7; מִןהַּֿמַּעֲרָב (alone) Daniel 8:5; with ה locative מַעֲרָ֑בָה 1 Chronicles 26:30 westward, followed by לְ = to the west of2 Chronicles 32:30; 33:14, ׳מִמּ לַגִּבְעָה Judges 20:33 according to ᵐ5 (not B) ᵑ9 Be GFM and others (see [ מַעֲרֶה]).
