Hi Dan , my KJV is fab because it has pronunciation symbols all the way through it and a table of these symbols for me to check , sadly I can't help you if your Bible doesn't also have them sad face , e.g. that symbol over the letter o makes it sound like the o in the word nor , or if that was over the letter a , the a sounds like the a in the word fare . My Bible is a Collins Comfort Text and I got it from a very well know shopping site and its second hand . Maybe you can find one , I hope so .

Hello, the Bible says it was a fruit and never said it was an apple. Sometimes artists draw an apple, but that means nothing. Apples don't natively grow in the middle east from my understanding and think the fruit was more likely a fig or something else that is common there. Of course the garden of Eden was special and could have even had fruit not found anywhere else on earth, but the scripture only says fruit.

KJV uses "caught up" in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. I'm not familiar with catching away- what verse do you see that term?
  • Giannis - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Dear Steve .

I think you are right about the promises given to Israel are to be distinguished from the ones to the church. The promises given to Israel were mainly material promises, the promises given to the church are mainly spiritual. But I think you are not that right of whom is the Lord in our life. Satan is the ruler in the world of unbelievers and draws people to distraction. People choose to follow him and God doesn't intervene most of the times since people threw Him out of their lives. But in the church God is the ruler, the Lord, because we ask Him to be our Lord. So what happens in our life is due to God's permission. He allows things to happen. He can prevent them if He wants to. But for His own good purposes He allows things to happen when these things serve His plans for us. Surely what the evil people do affects our lives ie we have gone through world wars, believers and not believers. But still God is in control and we can face/fight all those with His help and be winners at the end.

    In Matthew 7:24-25. it says

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

The rain, the floods and the wind will come in one's life, but his house will not fall, because he built his life on the Word of God, on Jesus, on Father God.

I presume you are speaking of the government of the USA. The government is the product of the voters. Certain voters voted in the evil people running our government. This implies these voters have evil in their hearts as they condone what the government is doing. We all have a voice for our representatives if we do not like what they are doing, and also a voice for our neighbors. It is up to us, first off to vote, then to vote in the people we think will run the government according to how the Bible says or our Constitution, which most people know is founded upon the Bible.

You would probably have to ask each person their reasonings. However, most denominations have a council they need to answer to, and the end times myth is part of the false doctrine they adhere to. Besides that, it is extremely profitable to tickle people's ears of "THE" antichrist, 7-year tribulation, etc. If they taught the book of Revelation as what it really is, a warning to seven churches before the destruction of the Jewish temple, Jerusalem, and Israel in AD70, is not as exciting unless you are a history buff or really want the truth about Revelation. Most seminaries and bible colleges teach this end-time myth from the 15th century, started by a Jesuit Priest who the Roman religion selected to create the doctrine from the Council of Trent. The Reformers had misidentified the Pope and priesthood as "THE" antichrist and whore of Babylon, and therefore directed this doctrine to push out to the end-times to take the pressure off the Roman religion.

    Hi Jermainian.

Genesis 9:4. tells us life is the blood. So the moment a woman conceived that life begins.

"BUT FLESH WITH THE LIFE THEREOF, WHICH IS THE BLOOD" thereof, shall ye not eat.

Now here's the penalty when we shed that blood. ( Take life )

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. Genesis 9:5-6.

Now rape is a sin and that rapist will be judged also if he don't receive Christ.

Now that leaves the woman and child who God foreknow.

This child is in the wound and haven't done good or bad, No one has the right to take that life because of the sinful act of that rapist. The Lord can fashion that life as he did Paul who said he's the chief of sinners and he didn't deserve to be called an apostle.

God can certainly do something with that innocent child.

Genesis 9:7. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

When we are born, because of our sinful, evil nature, we are all predestined to hell. It becomes our free will choice whether or not to choose that route, or accept the eternal salvation plan of God through Jesus' sacrifice at Calvary for us. We all can be saved.

This chapter helped me to overcome physical pain. I thank and glorify God for sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ so we can endure all things until the end. I also thank God for those who truly understand the Bible. I do not pretend I do understand it all. I pray and listen to the little voice that backs up the scriptures. There is Indeed dispensation in the Bible. Some verses appear to be contradicting, but it is not. The messages are clear that there are verses that applies to both us and the Jews spiritually, and there are some that applies to only the Jewish people in different times. The Book of Acts is indeed a transitional book. Jesus Christ had chosen The Apostle Paul and revealed to Paul how to be truly saved. I pray that people see the message and Gospel we will be judge in the end. There are so many things I can explain, but the scriptures are clear enough for those who truly seek God. Ever since I realized my existence in this world (at a very young age) I recognized cruelty and sadness from people. But God helped me navigated through all that journey knowingly and unknowingly. Mistakes and Errors accompanied that experienced. The sure thing I knew is that I was guided by a very powerful spirit now I know it was and it is God. So making God your best friend at such a young age really helps as it mentioned in the scriptures. It really helps to pray and talk to God in a regular basis of conversation. Listening to men are fun but listening to God is the best men can do. It seems that the more I share my Godly experience to all of you readers the sooner I feel I am better already. At the end of this comment, I am happy to say I have no pain. Glory to God. Agape to all.

Hi Reneej55 , I had a very unpleasant childhood and my teens were only slightly better . I'd rather not go into details , I should have had some psychological help but didn't get any . I believe that God saved my life more than once and I believe that He preserved my sanity and that He still does preserve me mentally and physically . The experiences that I went through have taught me so many different lessons , I wouldn't know where to begin to tell you everything that I learned from the things that I suffered . I believe that all sufferings teach us something , about life , ourselves and others . I also believe that suffering helped me to be kinder to others . If I hadn't gone through the things that I went through I wouldn't know the things that I know now , God has brought me through everything , He was with me when I was a child , a teenager and He is with me now , moulding me into the person He wants me to be and who am I to question His methods ? As long as He stays with me I shall not be afraid . I think we must all learn to walk by faith not by sight , I'm still learning . Trust in Him .

Dear Steve, let me remind you of Galatians 4:22-28

"For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

Which things are an ALLEGORY: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

But JERUSALEM WHICH IS ABOVE IS FREE, WHICH IS THE MOTHER OF US ALL

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

NOW WE, BRETHREN, AS ISAAC WAS, ARE THE CHILDREN OF PROMISE"

You are right that not everything in OT is an allegory for NT, but this specific one about Jerusalem is.

    Part 6.

    By way of recap.

    fromMatthew 22:37.

The term "Thou shalt love" is not in command form. That is a Future Active Indicative in the Greek text. It is not a command. It is a factual statement. You will love!

Believers are supposed to love one another. But, neither in the Old Testament, nor in the New Testament, is it in command form.

As a matter of fact, the command in the Old Testament is YOU WILL love the Lord your God, and YOU WILL love your neighbor as yourself. It is a factual statement!

It all centers around where the commands came from, Deuteronomy Chapter 6 that has the SHEMA, the prayer that is prayed every morning and evening by Orthodox Jews.

In that prayer, they recite the fact that God says that I will put my Spirit in you, and I will put my laws on your heart, and YOU WILL love the Lord your God.

We are told inGalatians 5:22that love, AGAPE, is a fruit of God's Spirit.

In 1 John Chapter 4, it tells us that God is love. Now if I focus on the fact that God is love, and I've been commanded to love, and God is love, then what am I to do? Give you God, because He is love. Love is a person. Love is the nature of God!

In my human abilities, or in my human effort, I cannot produce God's nature of love. I can't produce that!

And as I said, Galatians 5:22tells us it is a fruit. It is produced by God's Spirit, just like faith, and all the other ingredients that make up the fruit of the Spirit. Some continue to take scriptures out of context and put pressure on themselves to produce these things, when the bible says no.

The bible says point-blank that if you're not loving your brother, then you don't know God!

If you do not have AGAPE love in you, you are not saved. That is what the bible says.

A precious gem given by a dear Brother which is widely held by true believers.

    Next;

More on the fruit of the Spirit.

    See part 7.

    God bless.

The people before Jesus were already raised from the dead after Jesus' resurrection. When we die, assuming we are a spirit baptized born again Christian, we go to heaven immediately to be with our Lord forever. At the rapture or the end of our physical realm, again, if we are a spirit baptized born again Christian, we will go directly to be with our Lord. If not, then the others will go to the White Throne judgment, which is not a good thing, since most will probably be sent into eternal darkness for rejecting God's eternal plan of salvation through Jesus' sacrifice at Calvary.

When I read the word without being told what that means or go here or there. I could not find the word APPLE in the book of Gen. I did wonder why a fig leaf over the loyns not a apple leaf over the mouth, led me to just read the word. That changed my life, and truth rules not some scholar saying different. I truly hope and pray that we all check out what God says not a pastor, teacher, dad, mon, or who ever. Checking them out may save one's soul.

We pray for everyone that is in a difficult situation. I learned from the best pilot in America, a Brigadier General. He is currently training soldier pilots in a very dangerous country. I pray for his safety and good health back to his family. I pray for people who is afflicted with physical pain as I have experienced right now. God is alive and He surely does not give you anything you cannot handle. I cannot express enough the experience of joy and peace with God even in these difficulties. He is in our hearts. Prayers and daily reading of Bible brings hope, understanding and wisdom. I think of Job and makes my pain so bearable. God bless All. Agape

One thing to remember is we are on Satan's planet. He and his minions coerce people to do his evil bidding. Bad things will happen until we die or Jesus comes to end it all. If we have repented and are saved, then we will spend eternity with God, and no longer will there be actions from Satan.
  • Steve Schoenberger - In Reply - 2 years ago
You ask a good question here.

Millions before you have wondered this as people still will up to the catching away of the body of Christ.

Christians have been fed the false teaching of Calvinism and the allegorical interpretation of the Bible.

God is not controlling every aspect of our life.

Actually we have a free will and we make decisions every day that affect our life.

Other people make bad decisions every day that affect our life.

We life in a sin-cursed evil world and that world can hurt us on any given day.

Just like someone shooting up a July 4th parade.

The failure to rightly divide the Bible leaves many Christians struggling with this question.

Our Apostle Paul tells us specifically to EXPECT trials, tribulations and troubles.

God is NOT judging sin right now in this dispensation.

We should be thankful he is not because we are all sinners, even after salvation.

God will start judging sin again during the tribulation.

Bad things happen every day because we are surrounded by a sinful world.

Calvinism is wrong for many reasons.

God has a purpose for Israel and a purpose for the body of Christ.

Our decision is to get on board with what God is doing in this age.

You can only know this plan if you rightly divide the Bible based on who is being spoken to.

Christians that expect to never go through trouble get this notion from Israel's promises.

Paul is the Apostle for the body of Christ in this age.

Get your doctrine from Paul and you will understand these things.

Jesus ministered to Israel during his earthly ministry and told Israel their King was here.

His teaching all revolved around life in the kingdom he would rule in.

This is all Old Testament information promised to Israel.

God is not judging sin now because we are living in the age of grace only Paul speaks about.

The mixing up Gods earthly plans for Israel and his heavenly plans for the body of Christ are the reason Christians expect lives with no trials, persecutions and trouble.

    Part 5.

The power of the Holyspirit displayed in Peter "After" conversion!

If we revisit Luke 22:32 "WHEN THOU ART CONVERTED, strengthen thy brethren" Wow! by now you would have thought he was already converted by just going through the motion of just following Jesus. No! An outward expression means nothing unless there's an inward cleansing. You see an example of this in Matthew 23:26 when the Lord rebuked the Pharisees.

But let's look at the difference in Peter after his conversion. We know by the Gospels Peter and the Desciples denied the Lord, fearing death. In John 21:18-19 the Lord tells Peter by which death he should glorify God, then he tells Peter "Follow me" This reminds us of John 13:36-37.

After Peters conversion and when he was strengthened by the Holyspirit Peter preached boldly whilst knowing his fate.

2 Peter 1:14. Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

This ought to be humbling! All you do should be to the Glory of God. When we're born again everything you have or do is supplied by the Holyspirit, Not of yourselves. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:7-9

If you don't Love your brother it is because you can't! And you can't because God is not in you!!

More on the command to Love in part 6.

GOD IS LIFE and LIFE IS GOD

The BODY is only a vessel that holds THE LIFE OF GOD.

When the body DIES (the wages of sin is death: Romans 6:23) it returns to the dust from whence it came.

Ecclesiastes 3:20 ALL go unto one place; for all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

Job 34:15 ALL FLESH shall perish together and man shall turn again into dust.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit (LIFE) shall return unto God who gave it.

Ephesians 4:4 ONE SPIRIT .....one LIFE

1 Corinthians 15:38 For God giveth it (the new creation, YOU, Christ resurrected) a body as it hath pleased him, and to every SEED his (Christ's) own BODY.

    Ephesians 4:4 ONE BODY ....

HELL (Hades) is the grave, where men, the dust of the earth go.

The NEW MAN goes to the presence of God, the Father. as the BODY of Christ resurrected.

Ephesians 4:6 ONE GOD and FATHER OF ALL .......

Revelation 20:6 Blesses and HOLY is he (the new creation) who hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION.

    Matthew 16:24 .....DENY YOURSELF ......

Colossians 1:27 .....this mystery ......CHRIST IN YOU ..... you the body (of Christ).

John 17:21 That they (new creation) may be ONE, as thou Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they (new creation) may be ONE IN US ....

Revelation 12:2 And SHE (the church, Christ's bride) being with child (the new man) cried, travailing in BIRTH, and pained to BE DELIVERED.

Whosoever BELIEVES SHALL (at the death of this body of flesh) BE SAVED ....... DELIVERED.

May God give us eyes to see and ears to hear.

    God BLESS.
