Desr Sheila. Just think, was Roman rule better in Paul's time? No surely it wasn't. Christians suffered many persecutions during the first three centuaries AD but never revolted, always obeyed the Romans, and the example of their lives made after those 3 centuaries almost the whole of Rome christians. Our lives are often the best testimony of our faith in Jesus Christ. Of course one has to obey God's rules when they are in contrast with gov rules, it is what Peter said to Jews when they arested the spostles because they were preaching the Gospel. So lets do the same.

An interesting observation. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs and the longest month is 31 days. A good practice is to read a Proverb a day observing the day keeps us on track. Example July 4th read Proverbs chapter 4

Proverbs is a great book to get wisdom. But it does take a little effort. Proverbs 2:2 tells us to apply our heart to understanding. So we need to read and meditate on God's word to gain wisdom and understanding.

It means to not eat meat. Some will falsely say you can only eat plants. Gen 9:3 shows us we can eat meat.

I am having a problem with the devil trying to put ideas in my head that God may not be real but I am a strong believer and always will be but I wish God would stop this for me. Dear brother Alex N, when you talk about being born again, it sounds like something people have to do themselves. Now you could elaborate a little on what they can not do, think u not? We know that everything comes from the Lord, no one gets there without God the Father Himself. Ephesians 2:18 and mm.

But what we can contribute is and tell the people we meet that they should believe for their own part. so that they do not fare badly on the last day of God. Because faith comes from preaching, or what they hear right? So that they may repent and believe from dead works and believe in the Living God Jesus Christ. Romans 1:16-17

So true to you both, thank you both for sharing God's presence in your daily life. It's uplifting! I do not believe in coincidences, i believe that God Angels are with us all the time, every second of the day and night always.

It is especially important nowadays that we teach the children and all we care about to keep calm no matter what happens, because in anger and hatred it is not certain that we have these Angels watching over us. At least Jesus is not with then. I can imagine that they are unable to be present in such circumstances. For even though the Angels are fearsome, the Angels always say when the Angels appear to us humans. Fear not! So even then they must live in peace.

O Lord Jesus Christ, we live in times where there is noise and commotion night and day. forgive us if we do not fully understand Your opinion every time. Thanks for the website that really helps in gray days. And that gives such joy in light.

What I find noteworthy about the baptism debate is that some seem to work hard to avoid something while others work hard to follow God's commands. Which one is priority? Is it normal for a genuine Christ followers to do the very minimum, or is it more healthy for Christ followers to be excited about following ALL of God's commands without hesitation or excuse? What is the greater risk? To risk disobeying God or to risk potentially doing something extra to honor God?
