I saw a twitter post using Ecclesiacticus 2:1. While I agree with the statement the verse makes, still it is not in the King James Version, mine or any other KJV I've ever read.
James 1:5, James 1:5-8, in context,
Deuteronomy 4:4-6, Job 28:18,
Job 28:28, Psalms 37:30, Psalms 111:10, Proverbs 1,
Hopefully helpful
Note: John 6:7 note the last part of that scripture says clearly "._._. is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. "
Regardless of amount of money, even clear understanding of money amounts for time, inflation, price gouging, sales, shortage etc. Historical understanding doesn't say what GOD's scripture does about the message He is saying to us.
1st John 6:6 "And this he said to prove him, for he himself knew what he would do."
It was Philip Jesus was talking to: John 6:5, & Phillip who answered: John 6:7, his answer was about financial calculation, earnings, lack, almost as if money was the only answer he had. Remember it was to prove him. When we see " impossibilities" where's our faith & solutions?
Matthew 14:13-21, Matthew 15:29-39, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:12-17,
Note Matthew 15:32-33,
In each account Jesus had healed all the sick.
Hopefully this is helpful
Abraham made a baby with his wife Sarah's handmaid.
The prophet Samuel's mother Hannah was one of two wives.
The God of ancient Israel approved of such things; even if you don't.
The law of Moses says a man must make babies with his brother's widow if they didn't make a baby before he passed.
Acts 13:22,
David obeyed his father 1Samuel 16:11, 1Samuel 17:15,17,18,
David protected the sheep, & defended Israel, risking his life 1Samuel 17:34-37, 1Samuel 17:45-52,
David served even though he was anointted king , 1Samuel 16:1,13,21,23, John 13:3-15,
Jesus being the perfect example.
This Psalm says 2Samuel 22:1, is when GOD delivered David from death by king Saul's doing. If we go into scripture of that time. King saul had promised David his daughter in marriage at, 1Samuel 17:25, please read 1Samuel 17, through- 2Samuel 1, to get understanding of what David went through from Saul, he had one wife at the time he was finally given one by Saul that Saul later gave to another man. Abigal was the widow of Nabal.
Looking at the lineage Abraham & Israel possibly set the example of multiple wives, which was trouble to them, in Genesis, yes Isaac appears to have one wife. It didn't go well with David's household. These are examples also to cultures that believe in multiple wives.
Adultery is sin against someone else's spouse. If one or both are married to someone else. Etc.
I believe the scripture is pointing out David's innocent claims about being upright in his own mind because he didn't take revenge, jump the timing of his kingship, nor kill Saul when he had the chance. Please read, 1Samuel 24,
Hopefully these are all helpful
So sorry you had these cramps in your legs. But it seems that the Lord indeed turned it around for your good, teaching you through this trial to call on Him and acknowledge Him and His sovereignty. Be blessed today, FREE.
Also, God created both herbivores and carnivores. We should accept that in His wisdom He made them this way from the beginning.
"Holy, Holy, Holy" is one of my favorites as is "Great is thy Faithfulness" "Before the Throne of God I come" and many others. I also worship God with "contemporary" songs that exalt God more than our selves. The "old" hymns are good for us and I pray that many younger believers will discover them as good for worship.
But David, in Psalm 33:3 says to: "Sing to Him a new song, Play skillfully with a shout of joy." There is a place for both "old" standbys and contemporary songs in worship. Look at all of the "new" songs David wrote over his lifetime!
I do agree that worship leaders, pastors, and congregants need to resist the performance focused, entertainment quality in their worship. It has taken over most churches that switched to primarily contemporary music in worship. It was not like that in the early days of contemporary music in churches, but the carnal aspect of church services took over fiercely. I pray we can bring it back to a more proper way of worshipping together.
I agree that there is much error taught in the Roman Catholic Church, however, it is not alone in teaching error. There is error and false doctrines taught across the board in Christian denominations. Each believer should examine what is taught in their own denominations and discover if it is taught in the Scripture in the Spirit of the Words of God.
I want to encourage you to go to Intouch Ministries online. The information below was from a daily devotion. They have many great things for you to watch or read that will help you with the issues you described in your post.
God Bless you.
Philippians 4:4-9
We live in a culture inundated with anxiety and fear, where people make a habit of worrying because it provides a false sense of control. But Christians don't have to give in to these feelings, as we have a Savior who has promised us His peace, "which surpasses all comprehension" ( Phil. 4:7). Thankfully, there are a couple of practices we can employ to guard against worry.
First, we must be careful about what we allow to fill our mind-listening to the many purveyors of doom and gloom can easily lead to fear, anxiety, or panic. If you become agitated after hearing the news, listening to podcasts, or reading social media, it's time to take a break. Instead, do what Paul encourages in today's passage: Think about whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, commendable, and praiseworthy ( Phil. 4:8).
Another source of worry is materialism. The more we have, the more we fret about what might happen to our possessions and financial security. But Jesus warned against storing up treasure on earth ( Matthew 6:19-20). Instead, we should seek first God's kingdom and righteousness and trust Him to provide for our needs ( Matthew 6:33). If we'll put Him first, worry won't gain a foothold in our lives.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14
This is what the LORD says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you.
I am the LORD who heals you.
Exodus 15:26
Ephesians 2:19
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
1 Corinthians 4:1
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1 Corinthians 4:4
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
1 Corinthians 6:2
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Let us grow in grace and in charity for the Glory of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I agree. Church today is quite different than what it was in the early church. Today, it seems as though it's about how many people we can pack into the church. There are ministries that base their success on the number of people they have in attendance. I mean, the more people the better, right? I can't help but think about the times in the gospels when large crowds began to gather around Jesus, how He would remove Himself from those crowds. And also the times when crowds started gathering and Jesus turned to the crowd and began to teach a message, and those crowds left. They weren't there to worship Him or to be taught from Him. They wanted to see more miracles. They wanted to be entertained. We see that in our churches today. How many of those in attendance are there to hear the word verses being entertained. Some churches draw people in by offering things that appeal to the flesh, free potluck, free BBQ, and other forms of entertainment just to get people to come. But as you say, worship is what it's all about. We shouldn't go to church to be entertained. We go to be spiritually fed. But how many would stick around for two hours just listening to the word and singing a few hymns if there was no entertainment? For some, that's boring. I think it would be fair to say that as we sit in church, our flesh does not want to be there. But we have to reject what our flesh wants, discipline ourselves, and submit ourselves to Christ and the hearing of His word.
As to my favorite gospel song or Hymn, I would say that I have many. A couple that come to mind are "Blessed Assurance," and one by Alison Krauss and the Cox Family called "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow."
" Everywhere that we see the word candlesticks in the book of Revelation, it's literally the word LUCHNIA, which means lampstand."
I will note that.
God bless.
consume the flesh and blood (and dairy, eggs) of innocent animals, they are, blood "sacrificed"...farm animals
have their babies taken away after birth (pigs get a few weeks to nurse them). Momma cows are bellowing, frantic
to be with their babies taken away in wheelbarrows. They literally bellow for a week afterwards, desperate to
reunite with their offspring they will never see again. The mother/child bond is destroyed for 70 billion cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys etcetera every year.
The Bible was changed to reflect a violent meat-eating agenda by Emperor Constantine, his scribes, and others, around the 5th century. He considered peaceful vegetarians to be heretics, and had them murdered. He supported eating the dead. There are over 600 bible passages that were left out of the bible because they are "spiritual", such as the Gospel of Mary.
"But blood with the life thereof, ye shall not eat". You cannot separate the blood from the flesh, they are one.
When you eat flesh, animal muscle, you are eating blood. Eating flesh and blood was taught to humans by the offspring of the fallen angels, the Nephilim. They taught peaceful humans to forge iron, make weapons, commit violence, kill, cook, and eat the flesh and blood of animals. God never ever wanted us to do these things. He wanted us to have "dominion" over animals and the earth, to be CARETAKERS and STEWARDS, not abusers, polluters, and murderers.
Taking the life of another who does not want to die, is the most egregious thing humans can do. Would Jeshua approve of the slaughter of 70 billion sentient farm animals and 5 trillion fishes every year to feed humans?. That is a horror show.
Comparative anatomy= Herbivore animals have molars to chew plants, we are herbivore. Carnivores/Omnivores have fangs to rip and kill and eat raw animal flesh/skin/hair, they do not chew.
peace be with you.
