    - Worshipping and praising our great and mighty God -

    Psalm 66:4

"All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah."

It is so important that worship and praise (especially with a ministry) exalts God and only God. What do I mean? The modern worship I've seen in my life often hosts pop bands in the church and the worship and focus always magnifies the musician...or the music director...or the name on the ministry. It's almost never about Christ Jesus, Holy Ghost, God the Father (the Godhead). We hear that in beautiful well known old hymns like "Holy, Holy, Holy." I'm younger in age than most but was raised on the great hymns and gospel music from 75 + years ago.

    Psalm 150

"Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."

We have to really appreciate the importance of worship in praise. What great way to honor God than to sing everything from your soul to Him. I've never felt called to any other part of ministry but to worship. I'll leave the preaching to someone better qualified with that calling.

Does someone have a favorite gospel song or hymn that you always go to when you need to praise at any given time?

    My Sister in Christ Sea:

Thank you for your kind response.

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." 1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV

"Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye." 1 Corinthians 16:1 KJV

The WORD OF GOD is so powerful that speaks to everyone that believes.

    Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    Philippians 4:9

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I love to know you as a daughter of God and a Saint here on earth.

I pray for all saints. Our encouragement to one another makes us stronger here on earth while waiting to see Jesus Christ in the clouds.

Lillie GBU but the only hell fire that Solomon cd have gone thru was that H.G. FIRE...As Jesus said EVERY SINNER has to have his part in the lake of fire...As our God is a Consuming fire....Every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire...No exceptions as Mal. 3 : 2 Says ...Who shall stand when he appears who shall abide the day of his coming for he shall be as a refiners fire and fullers soap to purify the sons of levi. etc...Solomon was a great man of God..God wd not let David the son build the temple only Solomon the Granson.

.....I think of Solomon as a type of the H.G. That is gonna build the temple in our hearts...As our bodies are the temple of the H.G....I think thats y Jesus said a greater then Solomon is here...which is the H.G...That is gonna build a greater temple then Solomon within us...

"Over and above that we let them get rich on our sweat and blood, while we remain poor and they suck the marrow from our bones".

    Martin Luther

In light of what is happening in the world it becomes the light that Martin was not far away from those who struggled to survive!

The struggles of life that we face everyday, while the rich continue in their ways!

even so we are commanded to humble ourselves in the light of Gods word!

The Christian is not one who stumbles in the night! The Christian is indeed one who walks in the light.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promises!

He shall deny those who deny Him.

History has proven that His word is a light unto those who believe that His Son is the Christ , the Son of the Living God! Repent and be Baptized

I was saved as a missionary Baptist Church when I was 12 years old it really took me a lot of time to go up in front of the church but that was because I was so bashful but during a revival I have finally developed enough courage to walk down the lsle and professed did Jesus was not awarded savior but I would have to say it was not bad courage it was the courage that God put it to be that day I grew up with two Christian parents but they that is not to say that they were at problems because my dad drink alcohol and please Drank alcohol and he smoked and my brother never ever took a drink of alcohol and her mother once told me that alcohol was horse urine. She did not drink either and reckon she wanted me to believe that alcohol was horse urine so I would not drink

My mothers father died and he was very young I think it is early 50s a young age of time but I still remember Him and when he went to town without always bring us back some candy.

My mother and dad did divorce back then you had to have a reason for divorce and it was for Cruelty. My grandparents found about 50 acres of land and gave all three daughters about 3 acres and the 3 acres that my mom had was across from her house but Camille destroyed everything on her property but our house across her house did not really suffered much damage and in fact ever since Camille and every other storm this house has survived but my grandparents had Hey pond as well as several barrns and a card chicken House I was born in 1952 but I remember very well everything that was there they had cows and and even the old wash pot where they would wash your clothes and you say ringer to ring the clothes out from the water and hang them on the clothesline

They had a smokehouse and many nice pecan trees and pear trees but Camille really did a job on their house and property but God called me to be a physician But on his timeframe so I became a pharmacist first or seven years but Jesus Only can heal and God is in controll Of all

Normally; after 12 comments some with great insight and spiritual depth I wouldn't attempt a response or deem it necessary.

There is; what I would call a "Corinthians" problem here. It is an inconvenient truth that according to passages there; some have "fallen asleep" not taking communion worthily; and others had been involved in gluttony; sexual immorality (even described as worse than pagans) and all sorts of other problems. There are other verses that describe some at the Bema Seat who have wood; hay and stubble burned up and are saved as through the fire; suffering loss (i.e. spiritual rewards). An important concept here is that God "chastises everyone he loves." ( Heb. 12:6). Such a fate could also be implied with God wiping out Ananias and Sapphira after they lied about their gift to God. If one's sin can cause premature death as the ultimate in chastisement (delivering the body to Satan so that the soul can be saved) ( 1 Cor. 5:5) then we need to be careful interpreting this parable.

We can; for instance look at "foolish virgins" being the left behind at the Rapture; but then if we interpret the end of the parable as "I never knew you" then we have a problem. It could possibly be interpreted as "I know you not." That brings up whether our garments are spotted and if the Rapture is a reward or salvation issue. It also can be looked as an analogy based on the Wedding guests in Biblical times; or possibly analagous to the 2nd Coming.

This; of course by no means takes away from the explanation that many aren't paying attention to the light flickering out. To buy the oil is strange; it could very well refer to the high cost of martyrdom in order to bear fruit in the height of the Tribulation the only way possible at that time. The outer darkness or as other scripture states the "portion with the hypocrites" ( Matthew 24:51) certainly could indicate being in the Tribulation and cut off from the rest of the Body of Christ. One can't lose salvation

The earlier comment would be true in regard of course to the two witnesses who the whole world sees dying and being resurrected. It is fairly clear that even in hades in the past communication existed between individuals (Lazarus and the rich man); and such events are also seen in the Transfiguration and indeed throughout Revelation where the saints of God are asking "how long" when still in a spirit form under the altar. There is also some time element here; eventually even those in hell will all come out of their graves for the "Great White Throne Judgment" and the saints of God of course are Raptured/Resurrected before that. (although some eschatologies think it happens all at once at that time).

We could; of course look to many "near death" and death documentaries. We can't validate the theological aspects of all types of experiences as true but there is a rather uniform description of having vision of all things around them (360 degree aspect) in many accounts. Physically; of course those who are still physically alive at His return will see Him come (as lightning goes from the east to the west). ( Matthew 24:27). We also have Hebrews 9:27; as well as other verses showing that we all stand before God immediately after death ( 2 Cor. 5:6 also). We have all tribes mourning when He comes back to earth ( Zechariah 12:12).

There seem to be some verses saying that places that have neither heard of his fame or seen His glory ( Isaiah 66:20) will do so and that implies during the Millennial reign (according to my eschatological view). So there may be a process until all see Him at least those still alive physically when He comes. Nonetheless; God is beyond time and sees all things in that perspective.

(Also God created all the physical aspects of creation so certainly rules over it and can supercede things as all the miracles TRULY of God attest).

Hope this helps. Agape. Rich P.

I'm not trying to be difficult, just have questions about the Bible, that lead me not to fully believe in it.. I'm trying to understand the answers to my questions, so far you are the only one who can answer my heart with real answers. Instead of "well God can do whatever he wants"! I was talking to someone in the Billy Graham organization, that was her answer... So the next day, I went to the same person to whom I was speaking to for 2 weeks. It was not her! I asked where is Linda, they lied, bold faced lied to me! It was someone else pretending to be Linda. And insisting it was true. NOT, her way of writing was definitely not her... Lost faith in that organization. If you have to lie, then your misleading. So you see I'm desperately looking for answers!

We need to keep in mind that even the elect would be decieved IF IT WERE POSSIBLE ( Matthew 24:24). God knows who are His own ( 2 Tim. 2:19). Man may make a determination who is a "saint"; although even the paltry hundreds the Catholic church honors are at times cherry picked to be "desainted".

We need to look carefully at such passages as the parable of the sower and the seeds. It gives us understanding that only those who persevere unto the end ( Matthew 24:13 near the other verse I quoted earlier) will be saved. What I hadn't considered until more recently is the reality that ALL (wheat and tares) start off in the same position; there is an immediate response to the gospel; then trials of this life along with temptations. His children ultimately will endure until fruit is produced; the tares will not.

It is sobering to know that even now true believers have 1 Cor 10:13 to stand on. The tares are unaware of their own true state. They may ascribe privledge as an advantage to following Christ as Lot's wife or Judas Iscariot illustrates. There are all sorts of reasons (personal pride; social status; self righteousness) that motivate some to continue to attend church and fellowship when their hearts are not truly in it.

A sobering passage to further verify that there is no hope for those tares is in Revelation 13:8. Satan is the god of this world and not only are all in sin and enemies of God without the cross; but if left behind will take the mark of the Beast. And that will be AFTER worshipping his image. Those who are forced to take the mark or die and refuse will be the Tribulation saints.

These verses also show us that even now we need to proclaim boldly the truth of Christ ( Matthew 10:32). Only God can give us this strength; a bitter lesson Peter had to learn in scripture.

These are dark days; and often those who call themselves believers are the most difficult to be around. May you continue to shine forth as salt and light.

I understand what you are saying, I found out that in the Catholic Bible is where it says the gods plural. So it is my understanding then that this is referring to the trilogy.! Thank you for that information!

One other question that has been haunting me!

God is love, and with that perfect love he cannot have any impurities around him.. then, why may I ask that it says in the Bible that God is a jealous God!

How can that be, jealousy is an evil intent?
  • Richard H Priday - In Reply - 2 years ago
The word "Elohim" is the plural aspect of the Godhead. Since God is one; yet is in three forms (Father; Son and Holy Ghost) they were all involved in the Creation. This is why scripture states "let us create man in OUR image" ( Gen. 1:26); and later on states they know good and evil like us ( Gen. 3:22-loosely translated). Christ actually was the one who created all things ( Eph. 3:9); with God involved. Proverbs 8:22-31 seems to show wisdom personified by the Holy Spirit also presiding over things since before the beginning and in the Creation of the earth. (See also John 1:1). "Gods" may be the best way in human understanding to explain the Hebrew translation but it shouldn't imply that there is more than one true God despite 3 manifestations. Even that is imperfect but closer to explaining the mystery of the Godhead.

In practical terms; when we see Christ at the crucifixion; it is clear that the universe itself ( Colossians 1:17) would have ceased to exist at his death if there weren't other members of the Godhead (not to mention that Christ would be praying to Himself).

So the "Oneness" group is clearly offbase. We could say that God the Father came up with the plan of Creation; as well as the Crucifixion ( Isaiah 53:10) and Christ did the action. The Spirit is often in Proverbs personified as "Wisdom" crying out in the streets. It is seen in some sense as "hovering over the waters" ( Gen. 1:2).

The important aspect here is that God in every form is Omnicient; Omnipresent and Omnipotent (All knowing; everywhere; and all powerful). He also will preside as this present world and it's elements are burned up ( 2 Peter 3:10). We can; mercifully rejoice that a new heaven and earth will be for us someday; according to Rev. 22. All the gods (small g) which are in reality representations of demons and or men's vain imaginations will be destroyed as well. God is the Creator; we are His Creation along with all angels and demons. Praise God.

You are 100% correct; I think that is the biggest mistake so many make is they view GOD the FATHER as an untouchable entity! That is the furthest thing GOD our closest kin, our redeemer wants. HE wants to sup with us personally and wants all to come and commune with HIM 1 on 1. HOW do you do this today? Study the WORD, get to know HIM and love HIM as you would your flesh father. Did your flesh father discipline you out of hate when you did something wrong; I hope not. No he hopefully disciplined you out of love. Our true FATHER loves us with a supernatural love that most cant comprehend in the flesh. HE doesn't wake up saying who can I zap today. We have to respect HIM as the our FATHER who created every star and placed them in their spot. HE knows every hair when it falls off our head. HE clothed the Lilly of the field how much more you think HE wants to provide for us. HE loves us and HE said " I don't want your offerings all HE wants is our love" What an awesome FATHER we have. That is what I wake up to every day and I don't want to disappoint a loving FATHER but try in the flesh to please HIM each day!! I have disappointed HIM enough in the past. HE shows me love and I want to show my love back!

    1 TIMOTHY 4:3

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 FORBIDDING TO MARRY, and commanding to ABSTAIN FROM MEAT which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is SANCTIFIED by the word of God and prayer.

The interesting fact is God gave us teeth for eating meat.

We don't have teeth like cows, sheep, etc. He just said not to eat the blood, as in cook the meat.

They didn't have refrigerators back in those days, so the whole animal was roasted.

Getting stronger is the same for the physical and spiritual. Proper diet and exercise (reason of use). Faithfulness in small things. I remember one of our aged preachers always saying toward the end of his ministry "in my life I have found that it is doing the small things that makes the big difference". My dad would say "it is not your ability, but your availability" . The following verses reference these thoughts. Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Luke 19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds." Our old nature wants to do big things, but think of the little things you can do for others every day. God Bless You!! Obviously we need to remain attached to the vine and have the power of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:6 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Dear all of you in Jesus Christ, and other interested parties. May you all be saved as one :)

I came across a few words last night but did not note who wrote them unfortunately. Just to prove it to myself and others who may not yet see this. Do i have to get a little personal.

Jumped out of bed last night with the worst leg cramp i've ever had. All the way from the hip down to the foot. The leg was completely twisted and the foot protruded to the left. And the back of the thigh exploded so badly that i thought now the knee goes in two. It lasted for 10-15 minutes, i was speechless and began to cry from the pain this caused.

Finally i cried out: - Jesus all we have comes from You! Thank You Jesus.

Remember that we are spiritual beings no longer in our own body. Galatians 2:20 Jesus Is there all things belong to Him, who will have the honor forever.

Then in the morning i open the Bible and look in Acts 19:11-20 It reminded me of the words yesterday. Everything that happens, whether it is evil or good, is to the Glory of God. He lets no one get anything they should have said/done/ if He dont want us to have a good time, we dont get it! He teaches us that we are toddlers sometimes. We become answer guilty, and maybe we get confused for a while because we want it to be the way we think. That is:

The Lord always has the last word. The sooner we realize and admit it, the better we will get. So when we experience trials as in this case, because it happened when i understood that everything is from the Lord. My home flew through my head tonight, in that sense too. Troubles me night and day. Just like the cramps that come daily if i am not careful to save myself. I disagree with my self and want it the way i want. Therefore, this does not escape me, because I must admit that the Lord has and will always have the last word! Matthew 6:34 Does it not? Its solved now. Thank you for your attention, stay blessed in Jesus' name.

There is a Link out on the red entry page you came in on; BECOME A BELIEVER. Its just below the question and discussion rooms Links.

It really explains what happens when you decide to receive Jesus as your Savior. And what the next steps are. I wish I'd had that when I was saved.

In John chapter 3, Jesus is talking to Nicodemus about being born again. He speaks of the Holy Spirit as the wind. We receive Salvation from Jesus. He sends the Holy Spirit, to live within us.

Water Baptism is a outward expression of what has happened to us. It is wonderful to have everyone witness your commitment to Jesus; family and friends. It's an outward expression of an inward change.

I was water baptized at 13. My Church never taught much about the Holy Spirit. (Southern Baptist)

I met Him 22 years later. He indwells your born again spirit. He teaches you as you read the Bible. Your life will never be the same. All the love you ever craved to be yours, will be there with you each day. He can be grieved or quenched, so that's why we study the New Testament first.

Satan doesn't want us to read the Bible because he knows we'll learn of the freedom we have in Jesus. He'll make the phone ring, people show up at the front door and all kinds of hindrances. Disappoint him when he pulls those tricks out on you.

Come back here often with any questions.

Read all of 2 Peter 3. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit, soon after they were driven out of the garden of Eden. It was protected with a flaming sword.

The Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) immediately set in motion the plan to retrieve the authority that Adam lost to Satan. Satan was never human. He was created by God. Only mankind is human. Earth was created for humans.

In Abraham obeying God, when he was to sacrifice Isaac on an altar, God was showing how painful it is to lose a son. He stopped the sacrifice and provided a lamb for the sacrifice. Jesus would someday be the Lamb of God.

In Luke 1:26,35 Mary is told by Gabriel that she's going to have a baby that would be the Son of the Highest, the Son of God. Jesus's powers were set aside to be born as a Human.

Jesus lived 30 years without spot or wrinkle; the sinless Lamb of God. In Luke 4:18, Jesus reads from the Torah, Isaiah 61:18-21. At that moment he was anointed by God for ministry. He received his power he had set aside. The people rejected him. Jesus set out to find His disciples.

When He went to the Cross, Satan still had not figured out the Godhead's plan in progress. He was happy When Jesus was nailed to the Cross. When Jesus was entombed Satan thought that was the end of that. He forgot all about that confrontation he had with Jesus when Jesus fasted 40 days.

Third day, Jesus was resurrected. He led over 500 resurrected saints from Satan's prison; with the keys in his hands. He had all power, all authority. Many saw Jesus. I'll stop here to show you this:

Jesus stumped on Satan's neck as prophesied in Genesis 3:15. Jesus restored Power and Authority to His Disciples and all those who would become His Believers

On Pentecost, The Holy Spirit came to the Upper Room to indwell the Disciples and Believers that were waiting as Jesus told them to.

Jesus's Believers today have received the same anointing, power and authority. Authority to defeat Satan!

Read these. Note these verses on the back page of your Bible. It's ok to write in it.

    2 Corinthians 12:10

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    2 Corinthians 13:9

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

    Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Comment: The only way to get strong is to rely on Jesus and the Bible. He is THE WORD OF GOD.

Mankind's knowledge can only go just so far. FAITH in Jesus can build you up on the inside.

It only works properly when you ask Him to come and be Your Savior. Read all of John chapter 3. When Jesus is talking about the wind, he is speaking of The indwelling of the Holy Spirit inside of you; in your heart. He teaches you what scripture means.

There is a link on the red entrance page BECOME A BELIEVER, that will walk you through the steps to Salvation, and Receiving the Holy Spirit. It helps you know what to expect.

It will grow your Faith. Jesus doesn't fail us. We__fail us. Everyone comes to the Lord the same way. We learn it by feeding on what we learn by reading the Bible, every day.

I used to read my Bible at lunch and eat the lunch I made. My body was nourished on the food; and my soul and spirit were fed by reading the Bible.

I promise that you'll get stronger every day. Think about attending church services. One that teaches Bible; not psychology. Come back here for fellowship, often.

I noticed your comment about someone and maybe you believing God made mad on the 8th day. Do you believe that man or do you believe God? God already told us He created man on the 6th day in His Word in Genesis 1:24-31. Anyone who says something contradictory to God's Word is not telling the truth.
