My daughter needs salvation & deliverance. She is in her 40's staying with me & mom since 2019. I want her to move. She doesn't contribute anything to the house. She is difficult to live with & argumentative. I have been paying her student loan since 2016. It is almost half of what I get. I can't afford it because I am on SS, but because I asked a family member to co-sign I feel responsible to pay it. She acts like it's my bill. I can't talk to her about it because she gets angry. I am tired and want peace.

    3. Jesus and the Law. Jesus kept the Law perfectly - what man could not do. Jesus lived among His people who were still under the Law & to the Law He pointed them. When He asked them to "keep HIS Commandments" ( John 14:15,21), it referred to not only the given Law but to the meaning & intent of the Laws He brought to them. I see that Jesus' Presence & Words (to His disciples) were the foretaste of what the old Law once declared & what He was now bringing them that gave them a glimpse to the Laws' higher demands met only in the power of the Spirit. And one day in the future, the apostles would understand what He meant & would have the power to live under His Laws & not the old Law.

Matthew 5:17-20. The Jews were bound to the Law, to obey it fully, not as was declared by the Pharisees (that some laws more important than others). And Jesus too was bound by that same Law, not to destroy it, but by His Coming He was to fulfil it. And this He did at Calvary, fulfilling all the laws (moral & ceremonial) perfectly. But would men see it & believe it?

Thank you Charrisse for that lengthy explanation. I'll write briefly on each main point that I see.

    1. Sabbath observance by those before Moses. You shared Genesis 26:5. We have been given no indication what these were: "my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." We can learn of God's clear directions given to Abraham but to include what we believe were His Statutes, Commandments, & Laws without being specified, remains only a guess. To believe that the Sabbath command was given prior to Moses lacks evidence both in clarity & historically.

    2. The Law of Moses. Certainly, it contained "codes for ordinances & ceremonies (including feast & Holy days etc), sacrificial ceremony, health, civil laws, treatment of animals, treatment of slaves etc". But it also contained the "Commands of God". As David charged Solomon in 1 Kings 2:3: "And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses". Did Moses in his book also include God's Decalogue, so that Solomon would always have the whole Law & Counsel of God at his fingertips? One could argue, 'well Solomon could have reached into the Ark of the Covenant to review them', but it remains a personal opinion of what the Law of Moses actually did contain.

Then Paul in 2 Corinthians 3:6-11, speaks more specifically on that which was "engraven in stones". He called it "the ministration of death". If those tablets from God was glorious, but instead of giving life, it brought death (in its design), how much more would the ministration of the Spirit would be even more glorious. As the glory of Moses' countenance faded away, Paul says that so to would the Law fade away as that which remaineth (the ministration of righteousness) by the Spirit exceeded it in glory.

    Thanks Ronnette.

I'm very familiar with the scriptures you have shared, and they must harmonize with Romans 6:1-12 and also Romans 8:7-14. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The scriptures you have shared accompanied with the ones I've shared suggest that Sanctification follows Salvation.

"IF" we are connected to the vine we WILL bare fruit.

    God bless.

    Amen Gerald!

When God began working on my heart I was lead to this website and it helped me tremendously. Having no real Christian connections it truly allowed me to feel connected to some of "the right people." I received great information, encouragement and a little love when I really needed some! It became a candle in the darkness.

I hope you enjoyed your day today brother and praise God for the breath in our lungs on this day! What a blessing!

Hope to see you back here in the comments Gerald!

God Bless you and your family my friend!

    Samantha,

We are all sinners. In different ways. God still loves us and offers the opportunity to adjust and correct the paths we walk upon. Daily. He saved me and I'm here to tell you, He can save you.

Are you familiar with the parable of the lost sheep? ( Luke 15) If not it is wonderful to read while placing ourselves "in the hooves" of the lost sheep. Check it out!

Do not allow the condemnation of others to push you away from God. A true Christian should firstly approach this issue and others with the love that our Father has provided to each of us, when we were sinful or blinded. (We are not the Hebrew Israelites standing on corners shaming people. That is not what Jesus did.) Should you seek Jesus, you will find him. Which requires laying down of many things. To receive a new heart.

God Bless you and keep you!

    Hi Samantha.

Homosexuality is a sin as well as heterosexual without marriage is fornication, stealing, killing, etc. When we accept Christ in our life, "On his terms" ( Romans-10:9-10.) he saves us. This comes after knowing we are sinners and condemned without him.

John 3:16-18. Notice the emphasis on believe in these verses?

God gives us his spirit to convict us, guide us, teach us and gives the power and strength to change us. Change may not come immediately but the guilt will. You coming on the site may have expressed that. Salvation is the works of Christ alone but when we're saved we are to bare fruit of righteousness and repent. Sanctification is a work of the Holyspirit. Being made new we shouldn't continue in sin. Not perfection but a continuance of progression. Romans 6:1-11.

Keep in prayer, God will judge you by your heart. If your heart is pure change will follow.

    God bless.

Thank you Gigi! I've been praying this prayer every hour. It's bright me to peace within myself. I don't expect immediate or even apparent response from then, but at least through it I have been able to pray that they, as well as I are giving God more space in our hearts and rebuking the space sun has been given the residence to live in. Though I witnessed today what has become worse from them, I've been able to Rest In Peace picking up this prayer and praying through it. So thank you so much!

Dear Ann, I will pray for you and your family members.

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask You today to heal and restore Ann's mother and that You will bring Ann's sister to salvation and a release from the evil that is holding onto her now. We ask that You will bless Ann and her family with peace, grace, and mercy. We ask that You will bring about the inner working of Your Holy Spirit to change each heart to a heart that knows and loves You above all else. We ask these things of You, Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Exactly SE, and I appreciate your response. A direct scripture to be reminded of; a prayer. Thank you so much. Today, I have been praying Gigi's prayer (see above), each hour. And the evilness is on high energy at this typing. However, I have been able to clear my heart for God's spirit to fill the space, and have prayed the same for the neighbors/landlord. I will continue to pray, as when we display extinction - to anyone/anything - there is the extinction burst until that reinforcement is entirely ineffective. So I expect the spirits to be very angry that I am praying love for these three individuals. I am at greater peace. God ill guide the next steps for my daughter and I, and the creation of a hostile environment should make our case stronger.

Thank you for your straightforward, succinct, yet powerful prayer!

    Page 3 Cont Hebrews 4

    c. Which then leads us to Hebrews chapter 4, where many Israelites died having failed to enter into Rest (the Promised Land) because of their unbelief. Then we read that, as God rested on the 7th Day (v4), there must be a future day of rest for His people. Joshua (v8) couldn't give them that rest even though many made it through to Canaan. Even David (coming after Joshua), spoke of God promising another day of rest (for those who've not hardened their hearts as earlier): vv6-8; Psalm 95:7-11. "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" (v9).

    d. So are we talking about a Sabbath Rest here or a Spiritual Rest that would come to those who no longer are wearily trying to justify themselves before God by trusting in the Law to be acceptable? The Rest those in Christ now enjoy have not only crucified the flesh but have their trust & hope in the One Who was crucified for them, to put an end to the Law that only brought death & punishment & never gave Rest."

No we are talking about the Law of God that is for eternity, for all time and stands for all of God's creation to keep. The rest the sabbath offers is all encompassing and is both spiritual and physical and a sign between God's people and Him.

The counterfeit sabbath of satan, SUNday has been the perfect trojan horse to lead people away from obedience to God and at the end of time Revelation 13 tells us satan will use the beast, to enforce a global counterfeit worship system.

God calls His people out of this false system Revelation 18:4 and this includes rejecting the counterfeit sabbath day.

    Bro Alex,

I agree with you that every day should be Holy to Christians, and we should try to walk with Christ each day of our lives.

Please keep in mind that the Sabbath is a GIFT that God gave mankind to show us that he loves us and cares for us. The 7th day Sabbath is primarily for mankind to rest our MIND and BODY, and to reflect on our blessings and have the time to really give thanks, without all of the worldly disruptions. It's a special day, to take a much needed break from our work, and the stress of living in this hectic world. God created us, and he knows our body and mind better than anyone - He created us. You can trust Him!

    Mark 2:27

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

GOD ordained that the Sabbath should be a blessing, and not a burden! I don't understand why so many Christian's today take this Commandment to be a burden.

    Hebrews 4:9

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."

    Hebrews 4:10

"For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."

So, God gave his people (Christian's a time to rest) a gift, that we should accept and use. This Sabbath is a gift from GOD, and not dissimilar to the gift that God gave us for Salvation. Why would Christian's accept "the gift of salvation" but not "the gift of the 7th Day Sabbath??? Both come directly from God!

    God Bless.

    Continued Hebrews 4

What is the Gospel message in it's entirety?

We are saved by grace through faith and sanctified by the Holy Spirit who changes our character and imputes Christ's righteousness to us so that we may be obedient to God's law - we cannot do it in own strength and we are not saved by doing it. We are motivated to do this firstly because we love God and then out of a consequence of being saved.

Revelation 14:12 describes God's people as follows ' Here is the patience of the saints, Here are they that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ'.

Keeping the Moral of Law of God does not save us, only Grace does. Revelation 14:12 tells of a people who faithfully endure to keep the commandments of God as an outcome of faith. Jesus says in John chapter 15:10 - 10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Furthermore Paul clarifies the relationship between Grace, Law and obedience - Romans 6:1

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

God's last day remnant people are also identified in Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Satan in these final days is waging one last mighty global war against God's law to establish his false kingdom, challenging God's authority and His last remnant children who keep the commandments of God and whose lives testify that they belong to Jesus which testify to His renewing power and miraculous changing of human character from one of being sin sick to

living in freedom in the spirit and obedience to God.
