You are correct. The King James does say "in" which is not correct. It should say on. I didn't check it earlier and I misread your post. The Greek text has the word on so that's what I would go with. Thank you so much for pointing that out. That's one of those things most of us wouldn't have caught.

Giannis, You are welcome into our conversation anytime. Thanks for reminding me about the jailer and his household. i also remember that a Scripture says something like that the children of a believer are sanctified. (Not sure of the verse).

I think that the family especially is God's institution for growing His church. Believing parents who happily receive children from God into their lives increases the "body" of Christ by raising their children up in the faith. Of course, each child needs to come to salvation in the same way as everyone else by acting on the faith the Holy Spirit provides for them. But, as parents, we pray for our children to be "in Christ". And we have faith that this prayer is in God's will and that He will answer our prayers for the good of our children, who truly, come from Him, and are His.

I met a man today begging on a street corner , we got into a discussion about God , He said we are all God because we are in Gods image .

I tried to explain that an image is a likeness , not the actual thing . He said he had catholic training and knew the Bible .

He could not understand or refused to , it ended our conversation . He was getting angry .

If i take a photo of you its an image of you and a likeness of you it does not show all of you but its easy to see its an image of you only . But its not you in real life its less than you , but it is an image .

So the image never can be more than an image . There are many in the image of God yet only One God . Thats what Jesus meant when he said to the pharisee that ye are gods , because they are made in the image of God , not actually God only ONE GOD. Father of all ....

Hello, maybe your following assumption is at the heart of the difference: "In the fact that Satan is the God of this present world makes him omnipresent he is in everymans Seed"

Is your assumption true and will scripture validate or invalidate this?

Job 1:6-12 - this says satan has limited power.

John 12:31 - Jesus calls satan prince of the world.

These verses don't say he is omnipresent or in anyone's seed.

What verse do you use as your source for your seed belief and what makes you so confident in this that you're willing to spread around this information to convince people that this is true? What if it isn't?

It is true that the word Trinity is not a word in the Bible, but Godhead is used to identify the triunity of God.

The word 'Rapture' is not in the Bible either, but it describes what happens to believers when Jesus comes back for them.

The word Trinity is used by many denominations other than the Catholic Chruch. It is misleading to imply that it is only a "Catholic" term.

For me, I use the term Trinity and Godhead interchangeably. I understand that some who do not believe that the Godhead is three distinct Persons but only one God may object to the term. Or others, who have a distaste for anything that appears to be Catholic may object to it. I understand that. But i do think we need to speak as objectively as we can when discussing terms.

But, if you prefer to use the word Godhead instead of Trinity, that is great! But those who use the word Trinity should be given respect as most on here know that it refers to the word Godhead of the Scriptures that say "Godhead".

No. Jonah did not go to hell. Scripture says he'll is empty. All people who die (wherever that happened);

A Ninevite fisherman sees this horror and Jonah says REPENT. He continues to Nineveh and delivers Gods message. They repented from top to bottom: people, donkeys, cats, dogs. They all got saved.

Where does the Bible talk about chain letters.

One of the shortest verses in the bible, Luke 17:32 "Remember Lot's wife." Lot's wife was saved, until at the last minute when she decided to turn around, why she turned around, we don't know, but she did, Genesis 19:26. The devil is in the world constantly tempting us until our last breath, as in Judas who was with Jesus for his entire earthly ministry, or as in

Luke 23:39-43, the one thief on the cross (whom I believe) was the devil tempting Jesus to come down from the cross and save himself, and the other thief on the cross rebuking him and saying that they deserved their punishment, and then asking Jesus to remember him, one was saved one wasn't. This is why it's so important to put on the whole armour of God as in

Ephesians 6:11-19,

Genesis 19:26 "But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt."

Tedious as it was, I made myself read through history that began a line of Churches called, Catholic. My question was, why not just Christian?

I dated someone who was Catholic. We eventually broke up because I was not going to convert to that faith. To my Baptist perception, that Church was a lot of ritual and I was banned from communion even though I was born again. We separated as friends because of this. There was no compromise.

Years later, as a street preacher, I often saw Catholic teenagers drive by their Catholic Church shouting the priests name and waving their beer bottles at the Church.

Rather than take "the offense", I chose to give this matter to Jesus to carry for me; so I could be available to everyone I met on a sidewalk. Judge not.

That has been my stance for 36 years. I can't preach Christ and Him crucified and get dragged into divisions and controversy. The Bible teaches against that.

All I can say about this, is the words: "Trinity and Triune" are not in the King James Bible. According to Revelation 22, I cannot ADD or SUBTRACT any words from this Bible. I must let the Lord himself, sort this out.

The one question I ask myself when issues arise, "what does this have to do with a person being born again?"

I don't see anything that would have me to believe that Jonah went to Hell. Here's what I get out of that passage and how it might relate to us today. What I see is that God has a will and a purpose for everything He does. He told Jonah to go to Nineveh. You see, God had a purpose for Jonah. But what did Jonah do? He said, (and I am paraphrasing here), "I'm not going to Nineveh, I'm going the opposite direction. It was God's will that Jonah go to Nineveh and since it was God's will and Jonah went against it, Jonah ended up being spit out of the mouth of a great fish. Guess where Jonah ended up? Right there on the shore of Nineveh.

You see, it's the same for us today. Whatever God's will is for us, whatever God wants us to do, He will make it happen one way or another. We cannot fight against God's will and expect to win that battle!

I am so sorry. I should have proofread my post more carefully before hitting the submit button. The next part of the verse says "Mind not high things," not "Do not mind not high things" which makes a big difference!

When there is a difference in words between various English translations, where in this case one version says "in" and the other says "on," we sometimes have to wonder what the true meaning is. I agree there is a difference between in and on. What I do when I come to places in scripture like this is I go to the original language because what we have in whatever English bible we are using is a translation. Even our beloved KJV is a translation. So what does the original text say? I look this verse up ( Revelation 13:16) in the Greek text and it uses the word EPI (pronounced EH-PEE). So the King James translation is correct by using the word on because that's what the original text says. The Greek word used for "in" is EN (pronounced AIN), but EN is not used in Verse 16.

I once found a church on internet that was full of christians, thousands of them. OK I said to myself let me listen what they preach. Everything I heard was about money. Do this, do that and God will blless you, you will get more money, you will get a promotion, you will get a new house, a new car and so on. People attending the service seemed to be sooo happy, they were smiling and cheering all the time. Then I looked for that church in wikipedia. As you can understand it was a church teaching the gospel of prosperity. The pastor lives in a multi million house. Well he probably thought if that is what people like to hear let them hear it and pay for it.

Now as far as miracles are concerned I may disagree with you. Just look at the Book of Acts. On Pentecost thousands believed because they heard the tongues. After that thousands again believed when Petsr healed that disabled man in Solomon's Temple. Then Philip goes to Samaria and thousands believe when seeing the miracles he performed. Same with Cornelious, same with apostle Paul, same with Sergius Paulus and so on. If there weren't miracles the preaching of Gospel wouldn't have such results. I think this is what we lack in and need nowadays. God has to show His power, has to recommend His people, otherwise people don't believe in God. Modern times are the times that Science has become the new Idol. People believe everything that scientists say, right and wrong. That sometime long ago a sponge become a monkey who became a man and here we are, billions of people, a huge civilizarion, billions of books, maths, physics, chemistry, mechanics ..from a monkey. They really believe that. My brother, only the power of God can change that Please recall that in the time of antichrist the 2 martyrs will perform miracles, an angel will preach from the sky. Please pray to GOD that He will please speak to me and tell me where to go to get out of this abusive, controlling situation. I have no way of finding a place outside of utilizing the Internet, and because GOD has allowed it--they control and commandeer any device that I attempt to use. Paul talking about Marraige said it is better to Marry than to Burn, burn what? To burn in lust, desire. And then he told The Church that Adulters, those who mess around on their spouses and Fornicators, those who have Sex outside of Marriage,,,shall not inherit,or enter The Kingdom of God.

So with all due respect, if you want a roommate, and you sleep on the couch or in another bed in a completely platonic relationship. But if not, then You need to bring This Relationship into The Blessing of God. I guarantee You, that You will be happier and more content.
