I being a woman can validate something that I have learned about pregnancy. After first conception for aprox 72 more hrs her body still releases eggs during ovulation. So a window of second conception opportunity for 72 hours. Is it possible. Eve after receiving satans seed she laid with Adam & conceived his seed thus having twins. Because she continued in labor and had a second child. Both Cain & Abel both brought their first offerings to the alter at the same time, ( age)

    Hi.

I agree the Lord love us while we are yet sinners, He is also Holy and just! Sin separate us from God. How about we also consider verses 1 and 2. "Repent" and take hold of his love as you stated.

1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. Hosea 14:1-6.

These verses shows that God is not done with Israel. They will be driven back to him in the Millennium.

    God bless

    Hello,

Last month on the 1st I asked for people to join me in praying for their own country and/or other countries that day. I meant to ask the same thing on March 1st but obviously spaced on it. I would like to invite those who feel led to set aside tomorrow to pray often for your country and/or other countries, especially Ukraine and Russia. I am thankful to hear that over 1 million Ukrainians have gotten out of the country to safety. Thank You, Jesus!. I appreciate any who will partner with me tomorrow. I understand that many here pray for these things often. I just want to not forget! So, for me, setting a date helps. But I do pray often, like others, too. But tomorrow, I will pray as often as I can for my country and other countries God lays on my heart. I hope some of you will join me.

Hi Bear de Mel. The only one I can think of is in Nahum 1:9, "What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time."

However, this verse speaks of God taking vengeance on Nineveh, that once their judgement comes by destruction, God will not perform it a second time (nor will He need to, for they will be obliterated completely).

    Hello,

Last month on the 1st I asked for people to spend time that day praying for their country and/or any country they feel led to do. I meant to ask the same request on March lst, but somehow I spaced. So, although we pray often for these things, I still want to set aside tomorrow to pray often for these things. I hope others will join me as they feel led. Lifting up Ukraine in prayer at this time is really a need. I am thankful that a million have been able to get out of the country, but many still remain and are in grave danger.

Thank you for partnering with me.

    Shi,

I stand with you as you pray for your loved ones. I am glad that you pray everyday for them. I, too, pray everyday my three sons to return to the Lord with faith as they did believe prior to their teen year. They are all in their thirties now, but I believe that God will answer my prayers. And I believe He will answer yours, too.

    Dear Lord Jesus,

We present before You these loved ones that Shi continues in prayer for salvation and that they will draw near to You in faith and know the Truth of Your Word. We pray that You will soften their hearts and place faith in their hearts in order that they may believe as Your grace works in them. We ask that You will cause them to desire to seek to know more about You and desire to be saved. We pray that they each will come to Shi and ask her to explain the hope she has in You. May they receive the gospel with eagerness and joy as they learn about You, Jesus, and return back to You the love You shed on them. We ask all of these things for these loved ones in your name, Jesus. Amen.

Dear Mundla, I will pray for you and the people of your area.

    What country are you in?

Dear Lord Jesus, We pray tonight for Your saving hand to be extended to many people that Mundla shares the gospel of truth with in his homeland. We pray to You that You will break down the long held connections these people have with Hinduism and other false religions. Open up their hearts to believe the gospel. Give them understanding of Your Word preached to them through Mundla. Establish house churches among the people who come to believe and draw new people to these fellowships each new day. Lord, for those who have received the gospel but have also been given false teaching by their leaders, we pray that these people will recognize these teachings as error and not according to Your Word that Kundla brings to them. We also pray that many of these new Christians will be taught to read so they can read the Bible for themselves in their own language.

We pray that many of the non-believers will learn to read so they can access learning from sources outside of the oral teachings of their own family. May Your mercies pour into this country, bringing many to repentance and belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ. WE ask all of this in Your name Jesus, Amen.

Dear Rachel I will pray for your grandson's tonight. I have been praying for the people involved directly with this Ukraine invasion daily.

    Dear Lord Jesus,

We place Rachel's grandsons before you tonight and pray that You will spare them from being sent to this war in Ukraine. We pray that You will intervene in this war and help Ukraine to keep their independence. Put down the aggression on the part of Russia and end this war with a Russian defeat. We ask that You keep this as a limited war. Keep it from escalating into a full scale world war. We pray these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Hi Darlene, So good to meet you here. You have raised some good concerns about our the dates we use to celebrate our Lord's birth, resurrection, etc.

I have been researching on these lately and I read just last night that the early church did not celebrate the birth of Jesus, although Mary, who hung with the apostles certainly knew his birthday. Celebrating birthdays was associated with pagan practices, which did have such celebrations. The Jews did not celebrate birthdays for this very reason and the early church reflected the Jewish viewpoint of this topic. Historical data seems to indicate that Jesus' birth began to be celebrated on December 25th during the 3rd century (200-300A.D.) But this does not mean that He actually was born on this day. The church in Constantine's day adopted this date as the official day of Christ's birth throughout Christendom because it had already been in practice for some time.

They did celebrate His resurrection by meeting on the first day of the week from very early times. If we were to honestly celebrate the resurrection we would do so according to the Jewish calendar having the night of the Passover meal be the night of the Last Supper and the daytime of this same day (our next day) as His death day. We would have the resurrection day the following Sunday, the morning of the first day after the Sabbath.

Darlene, I know that you said you do not do social media, etc. But since you seem to have a computer to be able to post here, I suggest that you google for your own research. There are many good Christian sites to choose from and if you read several you can notice somewhat of a consensus on this subject.

I would google: What day was Jesus born on? Why do we celebrate Jesus' birthday on December 25th? When did the church first begin to celebrate Jesus' birthday? Why did the church choose December 25th for the day of Jesus' birth?

What are the influences in choosing the day for Christmas and for Easter?

Thanks JC Servant for those thoughts. I fully agree to what you've shared & was particularly interested in your specific comment: "that Jesus called Himself the Son of Man whenever He talked about His ministry, the redemption He was about to accomplish, and His coming." This is indeed worthy of consideration & probably what I was missing in trying to find how "Son of Man" was used. I will keep this in mind when re-reading the Gospels. And indeed, the "I AM" spoken by Him, clearly alluded to the "true essence of His being", that of being vital within the Deity. Thank you again for that clarity.

I am sure glad that we have the Scriptures to reveal to us who Jesus truly is.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi JC

You have said many biblically accurate things here.

The one thing I would like to speak to is that I believe that Jesus was indeed fully human as well as fully God in one person. Hi humanity was made of earthly things (matter) as his human body was formed in the womb of His mother Mary. His divinity was as it always was as God the Son, pure spirit, the same essential nature as the Father and the Holy Spirit. These three divine Persons from the Godhead (or the Trinity) that is unified a only one God. There was nothing earthly in Jesus divine nature, it had no matter as it always had no matter. But the two natures, human and divine were united in one Person but the natures were not mixed together to form a new part divine (no matter) and part human (matter) nature. This is classical Christian doctrine that goes back centuries upon centuries. This doctrine was universally accepted by the Protestant churches of the early Reformation.

I am not sure if you were trying to say these same things in your post or were presenting the view that Jesus had no material (earthly as you said, made of matter) substance to Him. The whole point of saying God the Son was incarnated was to say He became a true human while still retaining His divinity

I may have misunderstood your ideas in your post, so let me know if I have. God's blessing to you tonight

Hello Roy. Thank you for your comments - Praise the Lord for giving you this late awakening & a hunger for Him & His Truth; & no doubt you will use these ensuing years well to increase in faith, love & knowledge of the Lord.

I agree, the logistical problems for Moses would have been tremendous & doomed for failure if it were not for the Lord's Intervention: from the Lord Who called them, liberated them, & promised to guide & keep them. Considering the great company of people (possibly around 2 million) travelling in mainly desert conditions, we find that the Lord undertook wonderfully.

I feel that the march towards Canaan did not have a wide front of 50 miles or so. That it was probably more of a column march, with a front of say, half a mile & the column extending for many miles. I have nothing to substantiate this, just using the accepted pattern that gives the leader control, order, & communication (just as with a large army regiment marching towards an enemy position). We remember that when the Israelites marched forward, they went in their Tribes behind their leaders (indicating control & care given to a 'smaller' group rather than one person miles ahead trying to oversee all of them), Numbers 2:34.

For their food, Exodus 16:35 tells us that God provided manna for them for the forty years & in their complaining about it, the Lord also gave them quails ( Numbers 11:32). And for their water, again it was provided for them (whether casting a stick into bitter water to make it sweet, or water from a rock, or even from springs & oases along the way). For sanitation, probably a screened off area at each place they rested. It certainly was a difficult life, even as many mourned for the relative comforts & food of Egypt, & many died for their disobedience & complaining - they failed to really trust God to continue to demonstrate His Mighty Arm, both in their travels & when having to face their enemies in the future. Would we be any different in those circumstances?

I had not caught that Cain and Able were twins. But after looking at Genesis 4:1-2,25 Moses (and the Holy Spirit) intentionally mentions that Adam knew his wife for both Cain and Seth, but not for Able.

Eve thought she had gotten (possessed) the promised seed of the woman from the Lord when she named Cain (meaning Spear, Possessed).

Moses (and the Holy Spirit) entirely leaves out any language about Able (meaning Breath) being the result of Adam knowing his wife or Eve conceiving. This language allows for Able to be Cain's natural twin, since there is no intervening event between their births. But more importantly it points to Able being a type of the seed of the woman born by the Spirit. That the seed of the woman is in view is confirmed when Eve bares her next son and names him Seth (meaning Appointed) and says "For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."

Anyway, I just find it cool how intentionally Moses and the Holy Spirit use words and word patterns that break to convey information that is easily missed by anyone reading it superficially (including me prior to now).

Because of the penalty of sin. Not His rather ours. To understand go back to the Garden. The first sin was not the eating of the forbidden fruit. That was the manifestation of the first sin which was that Adam and eve believed that God was a liar. The lie He was accused of was that they " shall not surely die". They did and were sentenced to death. Why were they kicked out of the garden? Not because of sin. That penalty is death. The second death which is To be un existed. Can you sneak up on God and take something from Him that He said you cannot have? Of course not. Gen 3:22 states that they were removed from the Garden of Eden BEFORE they eat of the tree of life and live Forever. BEFORE. And from the pulpits today were are taught that when we depart this existence we shall go to Heaven and live forever, or to he'll and live forever, BUT YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE. Jesus took on the sins of the entire world. He died the second death to pay the penalty in our stead. He took to the grave sin and death. When He raised from the DEAD He left behind sin and death and now brings us out of the grave of non existence. Now is mankind offered the gift of eternal life.

An understanding of the Son of Man has to come to us by revelation. In Matthew 16 Jesus asked the disciples an important question, namely, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" After that He asked the disciples this very question, and Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Notice that in these verses the designations, the Son of Man, Christ, and the Son of God, all refer to one and the same person. This informs us of the different aspects of Christ's being and His work. For example, just as a man can be a son, husband, father, grandfather, doctor, Christian and evangelist, so Jesus Christ is the Son of Man (the head of the corporate new humanity), Christ (the anointed One), and the only begotten Son of God. Our sonship is in the corporate Christ. Each of these titles refers to a different aspect of the work He was to accomplish, and now is accomplishing.

Now listen to Christ's reference to the source of that understanding. He said, "Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven." This understanding did not come from Peter's mind; it came by revelation! Even so, the understanding of who the Son of Man is, has to come to us by revelation!

May The Good Lord Bless You

Whenever Jesus spoke of Himself as the Son of Man, He did not use the Greek word ANER - that simply denotes an individual male; instead, He used the Greek ANTHROPOS, from which our English word anthropology is derived. It means humanity, and includes men, women and children. The Literal Concordant Translation uses the term, Son of Mankind. This helps us to understand that Jesus is talking about a corporate man whenever He refers to the Son of Mankind. This adds depth and meaning to everything He says in regard to His redemption and His coming again.

In the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus, Jesus said, "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: even the Son of Man." ( John 3:13) We know that Jesus did not come down from heaven as a physical man. In this statement Jesus made a distinction between Himself and Adam, the first man. Adam was formed of dust; he did not come down from heaven. God blew His breath into Adam's nostrils, and he became a living soul - he was not a life-giving spirit. As we have already explained, he was a mixture of the earthy and the divine; he was an earthy image of God, for in a spiritual image of God there can be no dust. Man is not a physical image of God, for God is Spirit, and therefore an image of God has to be a spiritual image. Adam differed from the animals God had created in that he could think logically, he was creative, and he could worship God! Animals are unable to do these things. Adam's identification was NOT with his Creator, for he rebelled against God. In Adam all die (literally, all are dying). Therefore a new humanity was needed: a humanity that would be in agreement with God instead of in opposition to Him; a humanity that did not have any earthiness in it.

An understanding of the Son of Man has to come to us by revelation. In Matthew 16 Jesus asked the disciples an important question, namely, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" After that He asked the disciples this very question, and

Although Jesus sometimes used the personal pronoun "I", at other times He called Himself the Son of Man. Why did Jesus NOT say, "I am going to be rejected, I am going to be crucified, I will rise again, I will come again?" The questions Jesus asked and the answers He gave, provide an insight into the spiritual realm and give us the answers to many of our questions.

In John 9 Jesus asked the man who had been healed of his blindness, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" The man replied with a question, "Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" Jesus answered, "You have both seen Him, and He is the One who is talking with you." Here Jesus clearly identifies Himself as being the Son of Man, yet we still wonder why He spoke of Himself in this way. There must be an important spiritual truth in this statement that needs to be revealed to us!

In determining who the Son of Man is, we have to take into consideration that in God's eyes there are only two men, namely, Adam and Christ. Adam is the old humanity; Christ is the new humanity. Everyone who has ever lived, and everyone who is presently living, and everyone who will live in the future, is either in Adam (the old humanity) or in Christ (the new humanity). Therefore we see that Adam is a corporate man, and that Christ is also a corporate man. Since Christ referred to Himself as the Son of Man, we realize that the Son of Man must be one with the corporate Christ. In Adam we only have an earthy image of God. Christ's human birth was necessary to produce a spiritual image of God in man. Jesus called Himself the Son of Man because He was manifested physically in a human body (born of a woman), and spiritually as the new humanity (the second man - and this man was born from above).

Whenever Jesus spoke of Himself as the Son of Man, He did not use the Greek word ANER - that simply denotes an individual male; instead, He used the Greek ANTHROPOS, from which our English word anthropology is derived. It means humanity, and inc
