Lord Jesus I continue to ask for strong protection for my family and I, esp. the little one (I plead the blood of Jesus over us and ask for a wall of Holy Spirit fire around each of us and your mighty warrior angels to surround us according to Ps 91, Ps. 34:7, Zech. 2:5, Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 59:19, Ps3:3, 2 Thess. 3:2-3, Jeremiah 15:20-21) and I ask for salvation (Your arm is not too short to save Lord. Please save now. Thank you.), deliverance, healing (Is 53:5, Jer. 30:17), unity and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit for my whole family and I, those close to us and all others in need all over the world for you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond. Thank you and praise you Lord Jesus. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

1Chronicles 15:27, 1Chronicles 15:16-22, these were appointed by King David. Note Chenaniah, was referred to as "master of the song" & 1Chronicles 15:22, "he instructed about the song, because he was skillful" an educated guess could lead to guess it could have been him, if this was a Psalm of David & sang during that time. Nehemiah 12:45,46, indicates plural however. 2Chronicles 35:15, 1Chronicles 9:33-34,

    Nehemiah 7:1,44, 2Chronicles 20:21,

    Solomon 2Chronicles 9:11-12

    GiGi,

Here is a true to the letter fulfillment of prophesy:

Early on, God warned both houses of Israel (Judah & Israel) if they broke His statutes they would be punished 7 times (7 x 360 days/years = 2,520 years), according to ( Leviticus 26:18).

    1) The house of Israel was taken into captivity by Assyria in 721 BC + 2,520 years = 1,799 when (Ephraim) became strong as the British empire, and eventually America (Manasseh) became that great city ( Genesis 48:16-20).

    2) Then, 117 years later, the house of Judah was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in 604 BC +2,520 years = 1917. This happened to the day and hour of singing the Balfour Declaration, releasing Judah on 11/2/17!!! Britain (Rothschild) effectively bought the Ashkenazim ( Revelation 2:9) a home on land they had no claim to ( Genesis 10:2-3). The Times of Israel ran a full page article detailing the story, so this fact is not disputed.

The lead house of Israel tribes (Ephraim, Manasseh, sons of Joseph) are the birthright people (land, wealth) per their Genesis 48 blessing. And that is how prophesy is fulfilled.

If The God of all the universe can hang worlds on nothing (gravity) and keep them there, then He can certainly give us a trustworthy instruction manual (Bible).

Attacking the words of Jesus and the Bible, is just another trick of the devil to lead people into false doctrine or "doctrines of demons".

Beware of sheep in wolves clothing.

I pray that I never bring accusation against Gods holy book. I'm going to trust the words of Jesus himself. I trust that if he did not say Matthew 28:19 then he would never have allowed it to be in the bible in the first place. Either I trust him or I don't. Either he is lord of all or not lord at all.

God bless us all with childlike faith. We are not ignorant of the devils devices. If he can get us to believe that the word of God is fallible then he can destroy our trust in God. I know we are in the end times we need to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. We need to test every spirit to see whether it be of the Lord.

    Adam, so right

I also think that many adopt a "new" theological point of view when they hear it preached about with select Scripture to prove it. And so the hearer goes home, checks out the verses and says "Hey, that must be true!" Then they may google on it and pick the articles that support it. And then they share it with someone else within their "circle" and so it spreads readily because it depicts a certain "select" group as being more "chosen" than most others, or more "Spirit led" than most others, or having more or better "faith" than others, and on and on. Everyone wants to feel special, favored, or selected for something that everyone else does not receive. This is an enticement that besets humans. We need to be watchful for erroneous teachings and wary of teachings that spring up quickly and spread rapidly among believers and not have a "celebrity" attitude towards preachers and teachers that are invited to speak in our fellowships, cities, etc. Unfortunately, too many believers are not well taught about the Scriptural tenets of the faith that have stood the test of time (I call these orthodox teachings) and are too eager to embrace what makes them excited, strokes their egos or emotions, present a new "blessing" to be experienced, what is happening in other fellowships or areas that give the "appearance" of being a "move of God." Many are deceived this way and they fill their bucket up with many or these teachings without any firm base for their faith, leaving them unable to discern truth from error.

In a court of law Mary the mother of Jesus would be jailed. The account of her pregnancy was also not logical.

In a court of law Jesus saying he was the son of God wasn't logical, apparently, and he was hung on a cross at Calvary. When did the Bible become about logic? I thought it was more about faith God does what he wants either you believe it or not.

Where will the saints be, while Satan is imprisoned 1000 years? Why does Jesus take His saints to heaven in the "Rapture."

2 Peter 3, explains this. Isaiah 34:4 explains this.

After Armageddon, the Big Cleanup will commence. Why does it say Satan, etc will be locked up in hell one thousand literal years? Then Satan is released a short time to tempt those that survived the Tribulation. Later moved to the Lake of fire permanently?

We'll be in Heaven while God is restoring Eden to the earth. Where else would we be? We are the Bride of Christ.

It confuses the Christians when you say they go through the Tribulation. Why all the CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS references?

I had a very anointed Pastor in Tulsa. Years later after I moved to Austin, I found out he had turned completely Apostate. He's on YouTube teaching perverted subjects condoning homosexuality; teaching There Is No Hell. He lost his church. Half of his sheep followed him.

Be careful what you teach. Why? God will judge us for lost sheep and lambs.

    Hi Richard.

The Millennium doctrine maintains that the judgment will not come until after the 1,000 years. Your first sentence contradicts that right off the bat.

You are actually correct about everything up to the Millennium part. The Tribulation will come, then immediately after that Jesus returns, gathers His saints and the Wrath of God destruction of the earth (judgment of the earth and all sinners) ensues. After that is the New Heaven and New Earth. No Millennium time period at all. Jesus just reigns for eternity after all that. This coincides perfectly with these main end time verses.

    Matt. 24:29-31

    Isaiah 13:9-11

And does not coincide whatsoever with Rev. 20:1-7. Look at Rev. 19 and you will see that sinners and the beast and false prophet are already gone before Rev. 20 even begins. That's why you can't translate chapter 20 literally OR linearly. Chapter 10 tells us all time stops. ???

The small portion of scripture from Rev. 20:1 to 20:7 cannot be confirmed by any other scripture anywhere in the Bible. If you look at it enough, you will see this.

    SolaScrip,

Matthew 28:19- (Words of Jesus about baptism)

    Matthew 3:13-17

Jesus set an EXAMPLE of baptism for us and all three (tri-unity) were there. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all together, at the baptism. Jesus always led by example.

    I am not seasoned in the word YET as are most of y'all, but I do know enough to know that the Bible says this;

    Revelation 22:18

    Revelation 22:19

With emphasis on revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

  • GiGi - In Reply - 3 years ago
Yes Adam, I agree, there is so much God has not told us. He has a good a perfect reason for how much He has revealed and what He has kept hidden. We can try to work out prophecy to fit any narrative road one wants to down. But I think prophecy will become very clear to believers as it unfolds in history. We do not know the future perfectly, even with Revelations and other prophecies. We can certainly try to understand it, but Ido not think we need to have our feet in cement in our own interpretations.

For me, I trust that the Lord will lead me day by day according to His perfect will and Word. I am aware that persecution or martyrdom may be part of my future. I also, know that I may die any day. I also know God may grant me another 20-25 years of living here. So, I am not wringing my hands or even getting hyper excited about seemingly "fulfilled" prophecy in our day. I seek to be aware and ready and faithful and watchful and godly and prayerful and Spirit led. These things are enough to fill my day each day. There is so much teaching in the Bible besides prophecy that is very clearly understood. If today's Christians would live by these words the witness and readiness of the church of Christ would be greatly effective.

    Hi Aaron.

One of the conditions of the Millennium time period doctrine is that it must take place on the physical earth 'prior' to the earth's destruction. The 144, 000 are discussed in Rev. 7. Herein lies the problem. Rev. 6 describes the return of Christ and the Wrath of God 'destruction', and falling apart of the earth. Rev. 7:13-14 coincides perfectly with Matt. 24:29-31 and Isaiah 13:9-11. Also, Rev. 7:15-17 describes these people being in a heavenly/spiritual realm, not a physical one. The earth has already been destroyed at this time and the Millennium cannot be happening because its doctrine states that the earth will be the same throughout the 1,000 years and the New Heaven and New Earth will not come until after the Mill.

Daniel 7:12 also has a similar problem. It is all a symbolic, spiritual 'vision' - not literal. Verse 13 reads:

"I saw in the 'night visions' and behold one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. ... His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."

The Ancient of Days is a Spirit and resides in the spirit realm. John 4:24

An everlasting dominion which shall not pass away and a kingdom which shall not be destroyed does not say anything at all about a 1,000 year trial period of time. No Millennium verses here. This is all symbolic vision and/or things taking place in the spirit realm. They cannot be speaking of the Millennium doctrine.

    Yes Adam,

We live in a world and bodies that are corrupted by the effect of sin.so, therefore, we have diseases, pestilence, disasters, tragic accidents, criminal behavior, etc. as a result. God does direct these results of sin in such a way to accomplish His purposes, but He does not do evil.

Also, allowing us to have free will does not enhance God at all. It benefits us in that we know that our worship of Him is by our love and choice, not forced and His revelation of Himself in history benefits us because otherwise we would not know Him well enough to comprehend how worthy He is of our love and worship by our own choice. God's wisdom in making us how we are is far above what we could ever understand. That is why trust is so important in our lives. We can trust God with all that we cannot understand and have hope in Him when we see such suffering, and we can have faith in Him when we feel burdened by our sinfulness.

    Karen Owens,

That's a nice name, every Karen I've known has been very kind, loving & a beautiful person.

Chris answered you with a great Biblical answer.

For the 1st time I thought of a "worldly answer " to this question as I saw your question & was beginning to read the response. So, I thought I should share my thought. The bigger the 'free' gift in this world the bigger the responsibility= a baby, a car, a house, property as land, a boat. Every gift has to 1st be received then there's caring for or neglecting the gift/s. Even small gifts like a card, pan, food, potted flowers or pet. Each can be little or much obligation. How then do we think there could be no obligation to salvation? Even a gifted vehicle needs gas & care in driving it or it's useless in the world. I first thought of a vehicle, but then house property etc. Even in this world if 'gifts' aren't tended to they not only can be lost, they can, when not properly maintained cause much damage & loss to others. Like negligence causing fire, in a house, car or property. With Salvation GOD even mentions how our tongues can be. James 3:5-18, James 1:26-27,

James 1:17, yet GOD's gifts are perfect. Unlike our worldly gifts.

Hopefully this is helpful & welcomed to your discussion

    Yes.

I just rely on scripture for the final word on everything. If Catholic doctrines lined up with scripture perfectly, it wouldn't be an issue. The main question was about the baptismal formula.

"Why and when did the early church deviate from calling the name of JESUS over the person who was being baptized as in the Book of Acts?"

I don't know that we can know exactly when that change was made, but what we can know, and prove, is that the Bible supports baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ more so than the trinity formula.

All issues should be reckoned on the testimony of more than one witness.

"... In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."

    2 Cor. 13:1

    Deut. 17:6; 19:15

When we only have one verse in scripture that 'appears' to make the case for a trinity baptismal formula, but we have many verses to support the Name of Jesus formula, we are obligated to go with the case that has more weight of evidence in God's Word. God's Word carries much weight among Christians and it is very important that we seek the Truth from the majority of scripture on any case.

The Apostles would not have done 'their own' thing in this regard; that is IMPOSSIBLE. So we either have a translation error in Matt. 28:19, a misunderstanding of what Jesus was actually saying there, or the verse has been changed. It does not follow scripture at all.

If I was given a choice whether I would want to be baptized into the Name of Jesus Christ or into the generic father, son and holy ghost formula, I would choose to have my Savior's Name spoken over my baptism. After all, I want to be 'in' Jesus Christ, specifically.

My second answer to this question about suffering is the original sin. Adam and Eve broke the covenant with God, violating His rules, and as a result of the consequences, life on earth is no longer a paradise it originally was. The curse of childbirth, curse of struggle and toil to make ends meet, the curse of death and declining health. It's a result of sin that life is hard, and I believe that this scenario is also used as a test of character which I think character will stay with us into the afterlife.

    Good answers here.

My only input is when people have freewill they complain about people using it to choose evil, but if we were forced into being obedient robots, people would then complain about how they don't have freewill. You can't have both.

Which is more meaningful to a parent: a child willingly saying I love you when the child doesn't have to, or a child being required and forced to say it? Of course the first, and I believe it's likewise more meaningful to God when we willingly choose to follow and obey Him. God loved us enough to allow us to choose, knowing that many sadly would choose to deny and disobey Him.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1John 4:20

How can I truly love my brother?

Lord help me to look at everyone through eyes of love. Love covers a multitude of transgressions.

Help me to look at everyone through eyes of mercy! The same eyes of mercy you look at me with.

Help me to love my brother and my enemy alike.

We may be spending eternity together! :-))

This is my sincere desire Lord.

    Matthew 12:50

    (Who is my brother?)

    1 John 3:11-17

    (Loving my brother)

1John is an amazing book of the Bible. Short read. Only 5 chapters. But I highly recommend it!

God bless you and keep you. :-).

    SolaScrip,

You are missing the 144,000 resurrected saints who will be ministering to Jesus Messiah during the 1,000 years. Apparently the earth needs repair before it's able to transform itself.

You are also not taking into account the "other beasts" that were allowed to continue ( Daniel 7:12) after the beast and false prophet were placed in the lake of fire. So, the beast's surviving allies continued with the saints into the millennia. Note: it takes the house of Israel 7 months to bury Gog's bones. Symbolic as it may be, a earthly version will unfold here on earth: God is multi-dimensional and awesome, so you never know.

There's something mystical going on here. Albeit, God wants us to focus on this life, not the afterlife. That's why so little is given.
