I think I have a good idea about what is going to happen . Russia is making its moves in the Ukraine , I'm inclined to think that this is a distraction from what will go down in Israel shortly . It's odd to me that no one seems to have considered that this virus has been a deliberate act on the part of Putin . He is a psychopath and has a history of poisoning people . It's all very exciting and a bit scarry but I know that Christ will interviene and when he arrives...will he find faith on the earth ? We mustn't get too scared , look up for our redemption draweth nigh .

When you ask people who the false prophet is, more so than not they'll tell you it's the pope, and why not, he's the perfect person for the job, right? The average person cannot be expected to know these things but there are those that do see from the word given. Obadiah tells that antichrist's confederacy in-fights, and the false prophet placed a burdensome wound (nuclear) on anti-Christ's kingdom.

I asked the Lord to give me discernment concerning the false prophet. The answer required years of waiting and then the logic came to me. The false prophet is none other than China. Russia = iron, China = clay, and they will fight when America and Israel are gone. Russia and China have recently forged an unprecedented alliance, preparing their collective beast army for a year a month a day and an hour for the day of the Lord strike that punishes the world, making the proud low. Use your own discretion.

Yes, I long for my Heavenly Home, which Jesus Christ has made for me. There I will merge with all my loved ones who have gone before me. There I will also see our Savior as He is. And all the High Angels will sing a new song. For then, hope in my heart will be peace and joy forever and time will stand still in this my room.

Fully agree with what you've written, GiGi. The verse that came to mind as I read it, was 1 Corinthians 6:12: "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any."

Apostle Paul would not have had an inkling what the 21st Century would look like in terms of lifestyle, products & services available & even the strengths & weaknesses of the Church, but his words still hold true for us even now. We are given much liberty for the exercise of mind & conscience to pursue many of the world's present offerings. We may even find many things that don't violate the Word of God, indeed not even mentioned, as so much was unknown then. But the question we need to continually ask ourselves must be, 'does what I want to do or have a spiritual benefit really meets God's Approval - will I need to lose some of God's Control over me so as to allow the thing I want, knowing that it might possibly gain control over me?'

I know that when we are truly sensitive to the Spirit, walking in the Spirit, we are left with no doubt as to what is acceptable to God - though sometimes the path ahead is a little unclear. When we live to please the Lord & not ourselves, then we will restrain our feet from that path & hold back until the way ahead is known. Proverbs 4:26; Psalm 119:105.

It's such a sad thing, when 2 Peter 2:20 (as Charles shared) becomes the undoing of the spiritually insensitive & the easily deceived. There must have been many so duped in the early Church that warranted much teaching & warning by the epistle writers. Falling into such deception is made so much worse than when we were once led astray at the beginning; to save the body from being destroyed because of ungodly living ( 1 Corinthians 5:5), must have been the predominant burning desire for those early Church fathers, as it ought to be for God's servants now, warning us who might also be ensnared by worldly offerings.

If you can apply events to trumpets you eventually will be able to piece the end times together event by event You'll know the context of each event by heart You'll know the difference between the day of the lord and Armageddon, between who's the beast and who's mystery Babylon.

I think that the role of prophet ended with the completion of Revelation in the 90's A.D. with the writing of this book by the apostle John. There is no new revelations from God. The last words of Revelation warn against adding or subtracting from the Scriptures. So, anyone who says they are a prophet and have new revelations from God is a false prophet. I someone teachers from the Scriptures and expounds on it correctly, this could be considered using the gift of prophecy, which is telling forth the truths of God. Pastors and teachers do this in their service to the body of Christ.

Hi Bob, thanks for your post. There is such a need for correct teaching in our churches today. Many have numerous bible studies on faddish trends, but not enough teaching on the doctrines of the faith handed down from the apostles. Basic Christianity classes should be continually taught in our churches today. There should never be a gap. Any new believer should not need to wait more than a few months for a new course to begin. This is one of th4e best ways to combat false teachings and will soon enough put the false teachers out of business.

Also, churches are not doing enough of correction and addressing false beliefs in the church community. We should be calling out the many false teachers that come through the television set and on the internet week after week. We should be countering their false teachings with true teachings and bring opportunities to hear truth telling evangelists, preachers, and teachers to more and more communities (especially one who do not have books, etc, to hawk).

We should also pray for and work at restoring those who have been falsely taught to sound doctrine.

We should look on these brethren with compassion, not contempt, not giving up on them, but seek them to disciple and put them in touch with a sure pastor who can sincerely and gently shepherd them.

So, the church in this day has a big charge. To help as many as we can reach with the gospel and disciple these properly. Yes, the word tells us there will be a huge falling away, but we are to watch ourselves carefully, lest we fall away. We should make every effort to help those who are doubting, skeptical, caught in sin, slipping on false doctrine, and oppressed by the enemy. We have more power and influence than most people realize!

you wrote and interesting post. I am so glad that we have been given the Holy Spirit! He lives in us and leads us in God's ways. He teaches us from the Word. He sanctifies us, preparing us for the life to come!

From my own study, I do not think the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one and the same. God is three distinct persons in One unified person. So, the Father is not the Son or the Spirit, the Son is not the Father or Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father or Son. Their unity in the Godhead being One God is truly a mystery, but Scripture clearly teaches this. If you do not think so, then I encourage you to google "doctrine of the "Trinity" or "Triune Godhead" to find the Scriptural support for this doctrine. It is and very important one and having a Biblical view of God is vital for us to accurately understand the incarnation, and the working of God in our salvation. The Spirit lives in us. he is not Jesus, the Son. But because He is a member of the Godhead, He is the Spirit of God as they all three share the exact same essential nature and are all equally God. All three possess ALL of the attributes of God's nature infinitely without any reduction or lesser degree.

Anyway, I hope you will study this more on your own. i would love to hear back from you when you do!

While it is true that some of the clan of Korah, a Levite, led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, not all of the descendants of Korah rebelled and were swallowed up by the earth. The clan of Korah were musicians, composers of songs/hymns/psalms. They often led the Israelites in processions of worship. They were the "worship leaders" of the time".

Apparently, in the incident of rebellion, most of Korah's clan rebelled. They seemed to not be satisfied with their divinely appointed duties of being the Lord's musicians and singer/songwriters. They wanted what was not theirs to have, more leadership, prestige, and power.

But the ones who did not rebel continued in their appointed service to the LORD and David tells of how glad he was to go up to the house of the LORD with these musicians. David also was a musician, but not a Levite, therefore he could not lead the worship. How he would have loved to be given such an opportunity! But he accepted his place as king, and continued as a musician, writing many psalms, dancing before the LORD, shouting and clapping to the music before the LORD.

I think each of us need to learn God's call on our lives and serve in the capacity He gives us without coveting what others get to do. We can do our best in our given area of service and be thankful for the service of others in their given areas. We can rejoice and celebrate the varied gifts, talents, and skills of others. We are all being built into a holy "house" of the LORD as we all are fit together according to His plan.

Marsha, This is such a wonderful blessing from our Lord. he has promised to be with us always. When we gather together and worship together or pray together, He joins us! Wow!The King of the universe bends low to commune with us!

We don't deserve Him or His interest in us. But He is a loving, generous, benevolent, good, faithful, forgiving, Savior and desires us to grow to be more and more like Him as we are about His business. Praise the Lord together!

As to the second part of your question, we are not to be conformed to the ways of the world, but to be transformed in our minds to have the mind of Christ, so that we will seek to do only the Father's will as He did. There are many ways to get entangled in the polluting ways of the world. One, by the company you keep. if you run with the sinners, sit around with the mockers, stand around idly with the scoffers, you will become polluted. If you hang out with those who's lifestyles are continually full of sin and rebellion towards God, you will become polluted by their disbelief, disdain, disregard, and disrespect for our Lord. If you continue to keep company with people you used to participate in sin with, such as drunkenness, you will be pulled back into this besetting sin.

Another way you can get entangled is by the media and entertainment you imbibe in. The Bible never recommends to use to be entertained. It doesn't forbid celebration or leisure. But Solomon said that all pursuits of enticements are folly. I don't think it is wrong to take in some entertainment-fine arts, sports, hobbies, etc. But we should not get too caught up in them because they are a bit addicting and so, draw us away from spending time with the Lord or other believers.

Another way you can get entangled is by what is called avarice, (the love of things). Accumulating more than one can reasonably utilize, (my tiger I am taming) or needing the newest commodity on the market, or settling only for the 'best" can lead us into sin. Where our treasure is there will be our heart. Jesus is most valuable treasure.

Learning to be content with what we need and not what we want is important. We cannot dismiss the power of marketing in our culture. Being conscious of this and working at being "unmarketable" (not being influenced by marketing strategies) keeps us content. I mean look at all of the storage business popping up all over!
