You talked about God sending out his Spirit. That is exactly what he did. It came down from heaven onto Jesus in the form of a dove. Indicting what type of ministry he would have.

You who have seen me have seen the father.

The word made flesh was the spirit of God in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus never said he was God.

But as you said he was a perfect manifestation of our Heavenly Father.

A manifestation is not the exact same of what it is manifesting.

There have been a lot of scriptures you and others have said prove Jesus is God.

I'II make a list and go through them one at a time to show why I don't believe they are saying what you say they are saying.

    Thanks

My Dear Sweet Friends, it is so sad that the knowledge of this tree continues to elude the entire world, you included. Because of this ignorance war rage daily on Earth.

As a most consequential question anywhere, please all, give it a lot more study, though with another two attempts to answer this question I shall share the truth concerning this tree.

Even so, I have taught this in many places, including on FaceBook, and now the truth is in the world concerning it.

Hello Gerry. That's an excellent question, that even some commentators fumble over. I think that the best way to look at that passage ( Revelation 22:14,15) is to also weigh in Revelation 22:10,11.

In vv 10,11, we see the Lord speaking to John to leave this great Prophecy open as the time is at hand. Those that reject Christ & continue in their wickedness will continue - those who that are sanctified, stay true to the Lord.

Then in vv 14,15, we read that John himself speaks (in-between Jesus' Words to him), confirming the blessed position of those who obey the Lord as opposed to those who are rejected for their many sins (those who are in the Lake of Fire & would never make it to that City). So, it may be that Apostle John is simply making a statement of those who have a right to the Tree of Life & those who will not be found anywhere there; and not necessarily, as it appears in our reading, that there might be evil even in this new creation of God, where sin, death, & hell are in that fiery lake. I realize that this explanation may not be received well, but if sinners were running loose at that time, it would make the other Scriptures that speak of this time & this City, erroneous.

  • Two Trees in the Garden of Eden - In Reply - 4 years ago
Adam and Eve were created in the image of God with free will to make choices.

So by essentially placing the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden and commanding Man to NOT eat from the tree, God was providing Man with the choices of good and evil. Though this Man had the chance to Love God by Obeying Him or rebel against God by Disobeying Him.

The Tree of Life represents the propensity of people to be drawn towards the source of their life, i.e. to seek to return to a natural state. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil represents the propensity of people to be drawn towards separateness, knowledge, leverage and gain.

Initially, man was created in purity and innocence. The forbidden fruit was a part of God's creation that had its own taste and its consequence. And so, as a general instruction, God informed Adam & Eve not to eat that particular fruit.

If Adam and Eve had eaten from the Tree of Life, they would have lived life eternal in a state of sin. The tree of life represents Jesus. That's why the Garden was immediately guarded by an Angel with a flaming sword to protect the 2 trees and Adam and Eve.

Note: Adam lost the Dominion that God gave him, to the serpent. Lucifer lost his name and his body, so he took a serpents body. You see this in the story of Jesus allowing the demons go into a herd of swine, which leaped off a cliff, dying.

Without bodies again on the hunt for something else to possess.

Scripture shows the Tree of Life in the Book of Revelation; also the Ark of the Covenant. I'm not sure why.

Faith in Jesus' Faith is everything in mankind's and my life. because Jesus is the only one one who ressurected after living a perfect sinless human life, Therefore He has been accepted as our representative before God's Throne. Jesus also has authority, to inpart his justice to mankind. The only thing I need is accept an love Him. I can look for life on wrong places, learn that lesson, and try again on the right way. There is only One who has overcome death! I dont have anyone else to help on this matter. Where can I find Jesus? on the Word of God. Jesus indicates and gives crdit, to the bible writen on His days, whe talking to the disciples on Emas's road. And today we stil have the old testament. the new testament is about Jesus second comming as the old was about the Messiah, Whom is Jesus ressurected, interceeding on Heavenly Sanctuary, as the High priest did simbolicaly on earth sanctuary, once a year on attonment's day.

The faith comes by reading the bible as Jesus teaches His disciples. Faith like love comes by knowing the person and talking to her. prayer is simple as asking a favor to an elder brother. Thats what the good thief did on the cross, and as he recieved The answer he needed we can recieve it too, because the last enemy to be vanquished is death, and Jesus is wiling to give me and you, His victory over death simply by love and faith on His sacrifice done just by Love and Faith also, as man's son! God's secret is that Jesus is at the same time The begotten son of God Almighty, and has the Power to give eternal life, to me and whosoever believes and loves Him according with the holy scriptures, wich Jesu accomplish as He stated on His last words spoken on the cross. May God put in your heart and will of power, the resolution to ask God's forgivness and look for Jesus, on the right place, The Holy Bible. Our fiel of chrystian labor and duty, is to act according with Jesus's good deeds, and example, towards our neighbor. men!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

May he bless our finances and PCS cards and break our ties, help us with social networks, clothes, cars, computers, suffering, anxieties, give us support and families, regain strength and rest !! May the Lord abundantly bless and save our authorities, our directions / administrations, Bible institutes, public / private education, rectorates, up and pro, universities and that the laws / programs / secularism change, have good grades, we guide / direct, fast in the evening, that we can express ourselves, pray in tongues more than others, be always joyful, that every man be slow to speak, quick to listen and slow to get angry, listen to us / hear, not to be rejected or intimidated, not to hate or have arguments, to eat good things, to go to McDonalds, to recover and cure insomnia, that people come to see us, that the Lord smoothes our ways and confirms prophecies , dreams, visions and dreams !! I pray that the Lord unite and reconcile our loved ones (parents / grandparents, siblings, friends, neighbors, wife ...), that men love us

A commentary alone is a persons opinion. If you read 10 more commentaries ( use BibleHub dot com ) all similar but different.

Often opinions vary. Some use Greek or Hebrew interpretation and some don't.

We cannot take commentaries interpretations and opinions and put them against the Bible God's Word. We have to carefully read the Bible and hopefully it is a REFERENCE BIBLE with Center of each page, columns on each page:

That offer other scriptures that more explain the scriptures you are studying. Also they point us to prophesies. Give more info on a passage.

Check Geneologies, because even troubled and sinful people are in Jesus's bloodline; up until Bethlehem.

In their culture is was forbidden to inter-marry with un-circumcised bodies and hearts. For us= unbelievers. If we marry them, they can say I don't want to attend church, and I prefer you don't either. Modern people don't believe that, rush into marriage, and sometimes end up divorced or mistreated. Lots of that going on nowadays.

I'm happy that you questioned this passage.

1 Corinthians 6 & 7 have good info on how to be happy as a believer. I'm sure Dinah was exposed to Jewish teaching. It's a sad story.

  • THE PLAN OF THE GODHEAD through history - In Reply - 4 years ago
Jesus was the son of God before Genesis. From Genesis 1 to Luke 1, mankind waited for Jesus's Genealogy to be fulfilled. Each ancestor was chosen. Hundreds of prophesies were fulfilled.you can read every one of them on Google. Prophesy made and when each one was fulfilled.

The odds of all that being fulfilled by one person is 'infinity to one'. Same thing with New Testament prophesies that Jesus fulfilled. Look for the charts.

Adam had Dominion; which he could have used in the garden to order satan off this earth and into outer darkness forever. But he chose to follow Eve.

Then Genesis 3:15 was in force. On a future day the Son of God became the Son of Man. Mary and Joseph were the ones chosen because of the BLOODLINE of Jesus. By conception he became HUMAN like Adam and Eve, like us. His name: Immanuel: "God With Us." [which coincidentally clearly says Jesus is God; part of the GODHEAD]

    Romans 1

Why all of this we may ask? Satan is a created being; an angel. By deception he Stole the Dominion over the earth. He has no human body.

He is illegal on this earth. Isaiah 14 tells us what he looks like. He has no legal right or any power over a practicing Christian. Jesus gave us power and authority to bind and loose; IN HIS NAME.

At the Cross When Jesus shed his blood and died for all mankind. John 3:13-21. Also, the prophesy of Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled. While his body was in the tomb, Jesus went down to hell, preached salvation to the prisoners of Satan; and Jesus took back the keys to death, hell and the grave.

Jesus's bled out on the cross, upon the Earth. His blood and all the humans. He took back everything Satan stole. If we don't rightly divide the Word of Truth and act on it; we will suffer demonic attacks and our loved ones.

Re-read the Bible and SEE the plan of God at work, throughout 1000's of years. Read Job 1. We're living in the days of Noah (Christians) and Jonah (Nineveh society). EVANGELIZE!!!!

Yes, since Abel's faith, until Jesus's Faith, all th way along what is writen on hebrewes's eleventh chapter. I too, can grow from justification, like the good thief had at the cross, instantaneously justified, and in peace, just based on Jesus's Faith. He observed Jesus's behavior, in contrast with the other thief's despair, remembered Lazarus's ressurection, and had faith in Jesus's love and Power over death, as simply as a younger brother on his elder one. The good thief decided to believe in Jesus, as The Truth, THe Way and The Life, and god's Messiah. He believed that Jesus was able to ressurect him, like Abraham did, when facing Isaak's imminent sacrifice, received his son back, as if being ressurected from the dead.

Santification and Jesus's good deeds, on believer's life, result from The Peace that comes, with Holy Spirit's in believer's mind, after accepting Jesus's bood mrits, transforming and renewing.

I can't disagree with what you've written Jim, particularly those individual quotes from Scripture. For truly Jesus' coming was in God's Mind at that earliest time in the first man & woman's lives. He was symbolically the spiritual Rock that supplied life-giving water to Israel, as He is also the Giver of that Living Water to all who believe. And He did become the Man Jesus at His Birth as He could also say that He would ascend to His Father & your (Mary's) Father.

The problem becomes evident when we rest only on those individual Scriptures & not look at all the Scriptures that speak of Him. I realize that you did, a few days ago, give your understanding of John 1:1-14, which I can't locate again. How then do you view John 8:58, John 17:5, or even Colossians 1:14-17, to name a few? What you write to us, we can readily agree to, but it's the Scriptures that are not taken into account, that makes understanding a difficult doctrine, one-sided. If these 'other' Scriptures were not given to us, then truly we must believe that Christ came into Being at His Conception in Mary. The examples of verses I've given above would be very difficult to read in any other way than given. Here are Truths that we can't avoid - they, together with His coming as a Man, must fit together so that we can properly understand Who this Jesus is (at least as much as is revealed to us).

After Dinah was raped and her brothers sought and carried out vengeance against the Shecemites I read in a commentary that Dinah was partly to blame. It was stated that Dinah should not have planned to visit the daughters of that land. The suggestion was that she was interested in how they behaved, and how the dressed etc. The commentary also expressed the opinion that daughters were cuddled, and over protected by family members. Although Jacob's sons acted out with extreme violence to take revenge for their sister's honor having been defiled, the tone of the commentary seems to place some of the blame with Dinah. I was surprised.

    Hmmm interesting...

I hope you will get some good replies.

To me it sounds like h wishes to be spared hell by grace but does not know or love Jesus much or else He would say "I am saved by Jesus."

So, my suggestion is for you to speak about the

Way Jesus has bestowed blessings to you and answers prayers and how the Spirit strengthens you to resist sin and make you more and more like Jesus.you can speak about how much you look forward to heaven because you will see and talk and live in perfect holy relationship with Him.

Perhaps doing this will hel him to understand tha salvation isn't just about escaping God's judgment in hell, but it s primarily about Jesus, the one we worship and know.

Some people worship the idea of Grace or salvation in place of worshipping God in Christ.

    Oops Peterson

God is wholly Other than us. Theologically this is termed God's Transcendence. The bible speaks of this as God as being High and Lifted up.

Another theological term is that God is unfathomable- that we cannot know all there is to know about Him or have full understanding of his mind, knowledge, or workings.

God speaking to Job speaks to this.

Another theological term used is that God's ways and wisdom are unsearchle- beyond our ability to comprehend or reason.

Yet, God's plan from before Creation was for us to know He exists through creation

Romans 1 says this and to know him personally as He reveals Himself-as He did with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac , Jacob, Moses, and the prophets or in the history of the Israelites.

On top of that, God wants us to be restored to Him, rescue us from sin by knowing Jesus

And live in us by the Holy Spirit. And-on top of that He wants us to know Hebus powerful and will resurrect us bodily and He will bring us to dwell with Him in a place of perfection forever.

    Amazing!

God did not want there to be a gulf between us due to His Transcendence. He wanted to bridge that gulf in His Son and to do that was done by the Son incarnating in human flesh to be human like us while still being God.

    Amazing.

Even in eternity we will not figure all of God out. But we will know Him in perfect relationship desire the vast difference between God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yet the Son incarnated in Flesh

Will be our Savior forever and we will be children of God forever.

I am always humbled by the way God condescended to interact with us and love us.

    So thankful!
