BRo Dan What is the Gospel or Good News of Jesus Christ.
  • Dr. Lyle Lee - In Reply on Psalms 110 - 4 years ago
    Hi Chris;

Glad to see your interest in the difference between the old covenant and the Old Testament, as the old covenant was writing with the finger of God, the Old Testament was created by angels. We are first told this truth from Steven in Acts 7:53 he taught the law of Moses was given by the disposition of angels, then the apostle Paul taught in Galatians 3:19 the Old Testament was ordained by angels. These words are interchangeable, as they have the same meaning, to set in order, or to create, meaning, it was not God who created the Old Testament, it was the angels. When understanding that this law was destroyed by the Lord Jesus on Calvary from Ephesians 2:14-16 and Colossians 2:14-15 our focus must be only on those 613 laws regarding, the seven feasts of Israel, animal sacrifices, clean and unclean, new moons and sabbaths, and such like. We never refer to the prophecies that were written during that dispensation as part of the law being destroyed, as these were not the law of Moses at all. Just like Psalms and proverbs and so forth, these are not the Old Testament, they were written during that dispensation, but this does not make them part of that ceremonial law. Today we follow the New Testament and the new covenant, which are the Ten Commandments written in the heart, we also observe the gospel and the gospel of the kingdom, as Christians today, but we are forbidden to obey one Old Testament law as it will bring a curse upon Christians to obey all the O.T. Galatians 3:10 Therefore in conclusion, we understand the will of God today as follows, the gospel, the New Testament, the gospel of the kingdom and the new covenant. If you desire to learn the difference between any of these four categories which make up the will of God, please let me know and we can look into together. Stay blessed

    Hi Spencer,

Joseph did not cause his people to be enslaved, nor did he do It to pay back his brothers for their son against him. He forgave his brothers and invited them to come to Egypt during a lengthy fine across the lands in order to provide food and arible land for them in Goshen for their survival. Pharaoh at the time to was supportive of Joseph's family. So Joseph was chosen by God early in his life and he served God well despite the hardships he had to endure. God elevated Joseph to be second next to Pharaoh.

And God used this favor to bless the Istaelites.

God had foretold that Abraham's descendants would be in Egypt for all those years. They were there because God willed it. Jacob died in Egypt after live my there 60 years or so. Joseph and his brothers died in Egypt, too. Many generations passed by. Other Pharaohs came and went. Eventually, a Pharaoh ruled who did not favor the Istaelites and thus began their enslavement. I do think that by this time Israelites began adopting Egyption ways and idol worship (as the golden calf in Exodus demonstrates). God knew this would happen when He foretold this to Abraham.

God was using this enslavement to:

    1) punish them for idolatry and for forsaking Him

    2) to make them ready and will to leave the good land of Goshen to return to the land promised to the descendants of Abraham.

Perhaps you can go back and re-read about Joseph and the Israelites in Egypt.

Joseph was a good man and should not be disparaged by followers of God.

    Brother Adam,

    Amen, and well said.

I'm not surprised with this kickback against scripture. There is a large percentage of people today, preaching and believing false doctrine out there. Much of this doctrine is coming out of the Mega Churches, and the "feel good preachers". Their teachings, have no merit when held up to the light of scripture. They ignore tons of scripture, including the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are more interested in growing their congregations and bringing in vast amounts of money. In order to keep and grow their congregations, they tell people what they want to hear, and manipulate the scriptures to agree with their lies. People don't want to hear that they need to change their life and stop sinning. They want to continue living a worldly lifestyle and believe they will still get salvation, when the scripture clearly states otherwise.

Yes, the gate is strait, and narrow is the way - few will find it! Many today ignore this verse.

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

    Many also ignore:

    Revelation 22:14

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

Jesus tells us Point Blank - if we don't keep his commandments we WILL NOT have the right to the tree of life! So we will not enter into Heaven.

A wise person "fears God' and in conjunction with the Holy Spirit will do their very best to avoid sin, and live a Christ like life, while producing good works and good fruit.

    God Bless.

Asking for such an overwhelming overload of abundance in my finances with no more lack.. asking for the spirit of wisdom and understanding with this as well. Wanting to become such an extremely wise and faithful steward with ALL that God has blessed me with and will bless me with. Asking for more than enough in every area of my life; including my relationship with Him! May HIS Will be done in every area of my life according to HIS Word! Thank you!

Hi Cathleen Lovell, This is a common question. We know there will be animals in heaven, but we don't know if they will be created in heaven or if they will actually be the animals who lived on the earth with us.

Hi Drcletusharrison7777777, Me-oh-my I could not have said it any better. The bible is soo sweet. It is thee Authority in our lives. Like you said, sweeter than honey and the honey comb that ran down Aaron's beard. What words of wisdom you have given us. Can I second it? Thank you for the encouragement, and stay strong knowing that there are others who are experiencing it like you. Be blessed now!

Yahweh I present to you Donna's son and her Brother. They know you Yah, however, they are still struggling in their sins. I ask that you reveal your divine will for them in their life so they will know what you desire them to do. I pray this in the name of your only begotten son Lord Jesus Christ.

    David,

Chris gave you an excellent reply.

LORD (YHVH) has a face, but humans cannot look on it and live, Moses saw his back parts Exodus 33:20-23. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior and are sealed with the Holy Spirit, when all is new, we will see our LORDs face. Revelation 21:1-7 Revelation 22:4. We will see God and Jesus both, because they will be the temple, Revelation 21:22

    God bless,

I pray for my mom. She is suffering from alot of pain in her crooked back. She takes meds all day and night, but the pain is still there. Please I pray she has less pain and can walk more.

I was angry with her but seeing her in such pain makes me sorry for her. I just pray that she can be pain free and walking. Please Lord she's not much of a Christian but maybe this miracle can change all that and she can find peace with others.

    Thank you Lord. Amen.

tool over. Sorry should have had this in there last time.

Dan This is a time frame between when Joseph first got there under one pharoah and down the road another

pharoah became ruler and as it says in Exodus 1:8 he knew not Joseph and started dealing wickedly with

    the children of Israel.

    Our deliverance from Sin

In Gods eyes by Jesus Christ sin have been beaten, the challenge is believing and standing in that. I

do not since I was born again think of myself as a sinner. Some are going your kidding, I'll explain, when

we confessed our sins and made jesus Christ lord and Saviour our sins were forgiven paid for period or else our

Saviour didn't complete His Ministry and we Know absolutely He did. Therefore we who believe in Gods eyes are

SAINTS set apart by God from the darkness of this world that's what it says. This is what was accomplished by

our lord and Saviour when we confessed our sins and committed in our hearts that indeed God raised him from

dead hence spiritual new birth. Does that mean we got an instant new brain, or new body or instant new thought

patterns, absolutely not we started by changing our lifestyles to what the scripture said to stop doing or to sin..

Did we do this perfectly instantly nope why Romans 7:14-25 we are always at war with our old man nature,

anger, negative thoughts, fear, frustration and more none of which are walking by the spirit. My point in sharing

this is the only man that ever did and will walk perfectly with God was Jesus Christ. We will all until we are

gathered together miss the mark in some category but we can always go to father and receive forgiveness.

Not saying this as an excuse not to do our utmost for His highest because the wages of sin is still death.

Thank God he looks at me as perfect spiritually he already knew my flesh was junk and needed help. Thank

God we will be delivered eventually from this dead body and put on a body like His.

Hi Jim, the Bible says Jesus is God in John 1:1. It clearly says the Word is God and in John 1:14-18 it clearly says who the Word is also says the name Jesus Christ. Even if someone ignored all the other verses in the Bible about Jesus being God and only chose this one instance, it would be pretty hard to refute. Truth isn't complicated. The Bible says the Word is Jesus and the Word is God.

There are verses saying Jesus was a man, because he WAS a man temporarily. Jesus has always been and made all things as it says in John 1:3.

Have you prayed and asked God if posting your denial of Jesus's divinity in a public place is something He wants you to do? Has He placed any feelings in your heart about this?
  • SPENCER SHAW - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 1 - 4 years ago
Well, I'm sure as soon they set their hearts to call upon God he gave ear to them, but if the question is why where they are in bondage in the first place, id say It goes back to Joseph when he had the power over all of Egypt he sold the people of Egypt into bondage to Pharoah so as a punishment that happen. Why God chose 400 year i don't know he's God he can do whatever he wants.

Gen 47:25-26 KJV - And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants. And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.

Jim O.K. I see what you said now what are you asking or where are you going with this. I ask questions for

honest reasoning to arrive at the goal of better understanding to walk with God not look what I know or don't

no profit in any of that.

Why do you think it took god 400 years to listen to the prayers of the isralites and finally send Moses and free them from slavery?

Jim Thou has been in the garden of Eden, the only other two in the garden that I'm aware of are Adam and Eve

also again where are you going with this because to question with no goal is not profitable.

    Hello David,

Rick and Chris have given you some good info on this.

The Father and the Holy Spirit consist pure Spirit, and therefore do not have features that we can see. However, since the Incarnation of God the Son as Jesus, we will be able to see His face as He remains the n heaven as God the Son and Man united in the person of Jesus. Our Savior.

So, when we pray, we can imagine what Jesus may look like. He is glorious like He was at His transfiguration or in the Book of Revelation.

How amazing that God took on flesh forever so that we can receive salvation and see God when we get to heaven! We will still be held man in heaven, though I glorified bodies, but we will apprehend God with our eyes in the face of Jesus Christ because , though God, He also is human like us. God thought of everything we need in this life and th next to know Him and worship Him forever.

    Dgjot,

Jesus close Peter as well as Paul (and all of the apostles) to share the gospel with the world. Jesus is more than able to equip those He calls with faith and knowledge to accomplish what He determined for them to do.

Peter was not faithless as you said. He erred and Paul pointed it out to him. Peter repented. Paul sinned as well. He was not perfect.

If you read in 1 Corinthians 1 you will find that Paul speaks against following himself, Apollos, Cephas (Peter) as the Corinthian Christians were puffed up by declaring whom baptized them and whom they follow. Paul rebuked these believers and spoke against following anyone but Jesus.

Paul was a great man and gave his life to spreading the gospel eventually being matured in Rome. The same is true of Peter. I think we should hold these men ( and all of the apostles) in honor and not defame them, as you have done to Peter.

Chris explained about Jesus' pre-existence prior to conception well. If He did not exist before conception how could he decide to take on humanity as the verses Chris cited state.

It is my understanding from your posts that you are firm in your viewpoint as are those of us who believe what Scripture says about Jesus choosing to become man for our sake. He did not lose his deity when he became man. He added humanity to Himself in order to fulfil all that was necessary for our salvation. This plan of God being the Savior was decided within the Godhead before creation, announced by God and the prophets, stated by Jesus and the epistle writers, and believed in the church throughout the centuries. Within the Trinity, the Son (Word) became flesh and was conceived in Mary to live a perfectly sinless life and die for our sins. Jesus is absolutely unique in that, though fully human, he is also fully God and has all power and authority (only God has this. He rose from the dead as He said He would raise Himself (only God can do that), He forgave people's sins (only God can do that). He said He will judge all humans(only God can do that). He accepts worship (and only God deserves our worship).

I pray for you in this matter and hope that others reading will consider what has been said here.
