    Hi Rod;

I read what you wrote and questions have arisen from your thoughts, you stated the Old Testament was not destroyed based upon Ephesians 2:14-16 and Colossians 2:14-15, I think you should re=read those scriptures again and pray over them for meaning, also, if the Old Testament is not destroyed can you obey even one Old Testament law today? Knowing if you do, you are cursed as a Christians to obey all 613 laws from the Old Testament. Galatians 3:10 Then you said I should read Hebrews 9:11-14 stating the ordinances are no longer of value because of the blood of Christ, I do not think these verses are teaching what you are implying at all, as this is about the blood of Christ cleaning our conscience, not about him removing the Old Testament by his blood. You then went on to talk about the Ten Commandments in stone from Matthew 5:18 and then you quoted it again from Galatians 5:14, I will ask this question, do you know the difference between the old covenant and the Old Testament? By your thoughts it appears you think they are the same thing, otherwise why mention the Law of God, when I was talking about the Old Testament being destroyed? The Ten Commandments in stone is the old covenant, it is not a testament, please do not confuse them, they must be kept separate, as the old covenant was replaced with the new covenant, meaning the Ten Commandments in the heart. Hebrews 8:6-7 But the Old Testament was not replaced it was destroyed.

Jim A proverb is a[ descriptive saying] look up King of babylon in scripture notice the lord is going against the

king of babylon because all worship or anything tied to this not good. You are reading figurative language and

literal. Again look at Ezekiel 28:2-6 this is a description of lucifer's absolute pride so you have an example

of who this king was like in His kingdom. Then again look at verses 13-15.

    Hemo,

I would also say the answer to that is no. Here is why I say this: In Acts 10:44-48, we see the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon the Gentiles. It tells us in Verse 44 that while Peter was speaking a message that the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Notice it fell on them that heard the word, not fell on them after they were baptized.

Now look at Acts 10:45. It says that they of the circumcision (That would be the believing Jews), they were astonished. Why? Because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. You see, the Holy Spirit was poured out on them before being water baptized. We know this because Peter says in Verse 47, "Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?"

Did you catch that? Can any man forbid water (Water to baptize them), that these (The Gentiles who the Holy Spirit fell upon), which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? They already receive the Holy Ghost, and now Peter

So the Gentiles now were receiving the Holy Ghost the same way that the believing Jews were. And these Gentiles received the Holy Ghost prior to being water baptized.

My belief is that water baptism comes after salvation and is a public testimony that a person has already received the Holy Spirit, not as a requirement to receive the Spirit. I know water baptism is a very sensitive topic, so before anyone crucifies me for sharing my belief on this, please understand that I am not against water baptism. I myself have been water baptized and I believe a person should be water baptized as a public testimony to others that an inward change has already taken place in their life. In other words, that person has already been born of God's Spirit, and water baptism is an outward testimony that I already have His Spirit in me and I am identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection.

    Hi Rick Mentzer;

It is true when you say today we give from the heart, but this is not the case when you are being told Malachi 3:8-10 God will curse you if you do not tithe. Why do people not understand that in Malachi, God wanted meat in his house, not money, as Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy all testify that tithing has nothing to do with money, it is always about fruits, vegetables and animals, and a man must eat his tithe with his wife, children, slaves, and a Levitical priest, once every year. The freedom you spoke of is an illusion for many who do not know the bible, that tithing was for Israel alone, and it was destroyed with all the other laws of Moses from the Old Testament. Now do I really care about tithing, no, I care about people not obeying one Old Testament law, otherwise they will be cursed to obey all the 613 laws from the Old Testament. Galatians 3:10 % Galatians 5:1-4

James Evans In reality His resurrected body could reappear disappear eat food be touched and travel with supernatural capabilities that's what scripture shows. Examples Mark 16:12 appeared in another form, in luke

24:12 he lifted out of His burial clothes, luke 24:31 after teaching vanished in front of them, verses 36-42

appeared instantly and was touched and ate food then in Acts one elevated up to heaven.

Hi Jimmy D NixI. We know in scripture it says there will come a day when the Lion shall lie down with the lamb. And the child shall put his hand forth to the vipers nest and shall not be heart. We also know there will be beast around the throne, and horses in heaven. What we do not know is if these animals are animals which have passed away on the earth and gone to kingdom or if these will be newly created animals.

Amen David. Yah will not force himself upon anyone. It is our duty to seek his face lest we perish. And it is his desire that all be saved. Thank you David for the word, may you be encouraged thereby.

Yahweh I present to you before your throne Kadesho Malchielom. I ask you to bless Kadesho with multiple blessings, blessings over his family's lifespan, health, chronic pain, injuries, diseases, seizures, and leprosy. You said where two or more are together on a matter that nothing shall prevent us. We ask these things in the name of your dear son, Lord Jesus Christ.

Hemo If your goal is to be born again via the spirit then Romans 10:9+10 confess the saviour from sine and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and that God raised him from the dead and mean it then line your lifestyle up with Gods Word and let

    the word do the work.

Jim Also the term morning or daystar are figurative descriptions for lucifer who at one time was Gods top

angel or messenger. There are more scripture involved in this if your interested but a lot of scripture are

different descriptions of operational methods after His downfall.

    Hi Rick

Isa 14:4 notice that it is a proverb against the king of Babylon. Verse 11 he is brought down to the grave. Worms under and over him. Verse 16 Is this the man? These verses are about the king of Babylon.

    Donna,

You are correct about the wine being more like grape juice if we were to compare it with the wine we have today. If they sold the same wine today, I honestly don't think anyone would buy it because the alcohol content would be too low for today's wine drinker.

The question that comes up from time to time is if this is fermented wine that John is talking about in Chapter 2. First of all, the word for wine always indicates the fruit from the vine. The custom in those days, because of the bad water, was to drink wine that has been diluted with water. Sometimes it's as much as nine parts water, one part wine, just to bring down the alcohol level.

So their wine would be nothing like the wine we have today. Their alcohol level in their drinks was much lower than ours. So people say, "Why did Jesus create wine so that people could get drunk?"

Well, it doesn't say that He did. But they did say that it was the best wine that they had, the proof of the miracle. This wine was being consumed at the wedding feast according to John Chapter 2. Sometimes this feast could last a week long, celebrating day and night for an entire week. It says in John 2:10 that "men have well drunk." It doesn't say they were drunk, but have well drunk, meaning they have probably been drinking non-stop for a few days now.

But like you say, the wine they had was way different to what we have today. If someone today were to drink the wine they had back then, I think it would be fair to say that they would compare it to grape juice. Can you imagine drinking today's wine non-stop for a few days. That would probably kill a person from alcohol poisoning!

    Hi Hemo,

Yes, if you believe in Jesus as your Savior, repent from your sins, and be baptized in water - you will receive the Holy Spirit.

This is Peter instructing us to repent, and be baptized to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    Acts 2:38

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Apostle Peter was instructed along with the other original Apostles by Jesus:

    Matthew 28:19

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

Therefore, Jesus tells us we will receive his Holy Spirit upon being baptized, and in the very next verse he tells us:

    Matthew 28:20

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Listen to Jesus, and his Apostles, Jesus tells us if we do - He will always be with us even unto the end of the world.

Those teaching that you don't need to be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit are deceiving themselves and others, and in order to do so, they have to ignore this scripture above, and a lot of other scripture regarding baptism.

Don't trust mankind with your salvation, read your bible and believe in the scripture. God Bless.

A lot of the reason for multiple wives tolerating being married to the same man was because their fathers gave them to be married to men they chose

    As with Rachel and Leah.

Also, women were not allowed to own land or receive an inheritance. They were better off to be married as their husbands and sons would provide for them. So, multiple wives ensured most women would be married ( as many men died in warfare) which means they would not be left destitute.

Another reason there were plural wives is that the victors in warfare and conquering of lands and tribes meant that the women and children were taken and the women became wives of the victor, especially of kings and princes.

In doing this the population growth of the conquered was grossly diminished due to fewer women to produce children and fewer children left to grow into adulthood and then produce children to grow the population.

In any event, instead of giving women fair and equal treatment as men and the pillage and plunder of war, sin was multiplied by these practices that led to plural marriages.

Some others may have more to comment on this practice.

The OT record is fairly silent on God's response on this subject except for what is said

In Genesis 2 about Adam and Eve, which Jesus spoke to in his reply to a question about divorce.

    James

    Jesus was resurrected bodily.

If you read the last chapters of each gospel book that records Jesus' interactions with the apostles, women, and over 500 disciples at once you will find that all of these were interactions with the resurrected Jesus in his body

He even said to his disciples

Does a spirit have a body?

He showed Thomas his flesh wounds and Thomas touched them.

    He ate with the disciples.

He ascended into heaven in a body and said he would return

    In the same way,

Bodily. He is in heaven forever in a glorified human body-both Son of Man and Son of God in the same person and body.

We will have a glorified body

Like Jesus' when we are resurrected. This body will be physical like His glorified body is, but will have capacities that we do not have in this life.

So I urge you to read these accounts in the gospels and in the first chapter of Acts. You will find your answer there.

Jan Just because man does something doesn't mean its what God wants done and doesn't mean its not adultery or fornication. When lot ran from sodom and Gomorrah and his daughters got him drunk and lay with him doesn't mean

it was right. Man has freedom of will God doesn't override that.

Amen ! Just believe the gospel. The gospel is so easy, there is nothing complicated.

You have only to BELIEVE for your salvation on Christ ALONE in his shed blood ! (you can read ephesians 2:8-9)

That he died for your sins on the cross, and was burried and rose again on the third day, thats it !

It seems you want to maintain or do works for your salvation ? This scripture about the

prisoners to visit is not for you sister its a tribulation thing.

Jim This where things get interesting because look at the context of describing lucifer Isaiah 14:12-17 specifically verse 13 [I will exalt my above the stars of God also I will ascend very lofty terminology. In Ezekiel 28:11-18 esp. verse 13

thou Hast been in Eden the garden of God look at the rest of the verses. verse 15 thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created until iniquity was found in thee. There are times also when there figures of speech used in descriptions like verse 12 King of Tyrus Same guy.

Hi Marjorie Perhaps 2 Peter 1:2 which starts out through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ or Lord down to

verse 8 with if these things be in you and abound ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of out

Lord Jesus Christ. Also you cannot out give God so the more you walk in love and give the more He gives in all

categories in life. Also Mathew 13:12 perhaps. Hope this Helps!
