John 2:10-11 debunks the grape juice argument, because it says in verse 10 that people could get drunk from it. I'm not familiar with any Bible verse talking about marijuana.

Thank you although that is not the passage that I'm searching for

Also, weed and wine were way different back in the Bible times. Wine was more like grape juice and I've never been much of a weed fan but when I was young I believe it was super bunk compared to the strong strong versions of today. I could be wrong and you could correct me that would be fine.

    The Bible refutes that theory.

    Hi Rick

You mentioned lucifer. It is only mentioned once in the bible.

It means morning or day star I believe.

It is taking about the king of Babylon.

    Read the whole chapter.

    Dear Dgjot

I believe that all of the apostles were saved and forgiven, Paul and Peter included. And I believe that all of the apostles were commissioned by Jesus to bring the gospel message to the world. Therefore, I believe that Jesus prepared and the Spirit empowered all if the apostles to rightly discharge their calling. So, no, Peter was not copying Paul. He was writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit just as Paul did.

Because of this, their writings may have similar themes or tones because they wrote what God wanted written.

We need to forgive Peter just as we forgive Paul. They were sinners like you, me, and all humanity.

We should hold these apostles with respect for the position God placed them in at a most crucial time in redemptive history. Both Peter and Paul were martyred in Rome. All of the other apostles were martyred, except for John(he died of old age). Many Christians were martyred in those early centuries. They were convinced of their faith in Christ, loved the Lord, and lived knowing that they maybe persecuted or martyred at anytime. We don't live under those conditions today in America. So, we should be humble when we speak

Of these apostles and disciples of early Christianity.

the verse is saying if you don't have works you arent bringing forth fruit for God, its not saying you are not saved salvation is free gift to those who believe he is writing to people who are already saved not a book to get people saved

faith without works is dead he's not saying faith with out works is not faith at all, still possible to have faith and no works

in fact if you add works to salvation you are not saved at all and going to hell

Rom 4:4 KJV - Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

Rom 4:5 KJV - But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Gal 5:4 KJV - Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

It's not cruel to change the "rules". Right now you can't see your life without them, just yet.

They will love you more and thank you some unexpected future day.

When my son was 18 and stretching all my house rules, curfew (I needed my sleep); things got rough. Blood pressure soaring.

One day we had a talk. I said, by your actions and reactions, I can see that you are ready to get your own place. I said__I will help you but you have to maintain control and manage day to day.

He found an apt he could manage on his income then. I gave him half of my household to furnish him with the basics: bed, chests, 1/2 my linens, a gift of basic kitchen stuff. He had an open invitation to come over to wash clothes and eat pot roast. Those times eventually got further apart as he spent time with friends and girls.

I asked him how he liked cooking his own food, making up His own rules, planning and budgeting? He gushed, I LOVE IT. That's when I knew he was launched.

It was time for me to re-connect to people my own age. At church, tool shopping, gun range :D

Google senior trips in your zipcode. Life flows forward, believe it or not. You go over to the kids places to just be a guest. You'll get used to it.

Best part is, you'll get grandkiddoes.

When you pray, just ask to be lifted in the spirit of your mind and emotions. Lean on Jesus.

If you sit home alone in front of a tv, and don't participate in life; the body starts breaking down.

    Choose life.

May God be your Source to get through this part of life. Amen!

I was claiming to be a Christian and I really thought that I was but I was walking the same way as the world on this wide road filled with many many people all doing sinful things. I was in bondage with many things. Then one day the spirit of the Lord paid me a special visit, praise God, and it turned me around! He showed me a dark eternity without Him. And I knew I was where I deserved to be. I had so much time and so many opportunities to live right according to His word, but my will prevailed. You see there's victory over sin in Christ Jesus. And without holiness no man shall see God. We cannot come into the presence of God without being changed. If you believe that you have been in the presence of God but you're still the same as you were chances are you have not been in the presence of God. I'm not being judge mental I'm just saying this is what my personal experience has been. What do you suppose happened? I'm not 100% sure how to explain it but now I'm walking a different road. It feels more like submission and freedom at the same time. I think different. Walk, talk, and act different. I no longer "desire" to Live like I was living. Doing any sins that I felt like doing. I got delivered from a spirit of fear that was wrecking my life. Delivered. God helped me to lay down a bunch of sins and addictions and stuff with His help. Bam! Finally free! I'm walking a different road now, a different direction. I see heartbreaking bondage in the lives of my children and others. That is why I pray for them. There are so many walking in bondage today that can't or don't want to get free but today is the day of salvation. They may not have tomorrow. I may not have tomorrow. He who the Son sets free SHALL BE free indeed. I'm so grateful to the Lord. And I cry a lot. The Lord rescued me. 15 years i was backslidden and didn't know if I would ever make it home spiritually. The word of God is true. Jesus never leaves us or for sakes us. Keep seeking. Never give up.

    Jim,

I refer you to look up info on Jesus' dual nature.

    For example:

The Incarnation and the Teo Natures of Christ

    By Stephen Wellum

    The Gospel Coalition

This articles explains this very well. There are others you could read.

This is my suggestion for you to read such articles. I have made my defense of my view here and don't wish to go back and forth much on this.

But I am glad you responded. If you really are interested in learning more on this

    You will read up

Some, as I have. I think that is the best approach. I understand that we may continue to have differing views on this. I am ok with that. I am convinced of my viewpoint.

    Hello Ronald

If you read-read my post you will see that we agree. I said that Jesus has two Natures but these two natures are one Person. So His divine nature was unable to sin because God cannot sin. His human Nature was sinless and unfallen. Yes, he was tempted as we are tempted, and if he was only human and not divine, though in fallen, he could have chosen to sin. But as God and man in one person, his divine nature was united to his human nature (but not mixed) and this divinity kept his human nature from sinning. There were not two persons. In the body of Jesus, as some posit, but two natures united in one being.

This just proves that mankind alone cannot resist sin, even in his untalented state. But mankind united with Christ is made able in the life to come to resist sin for all eternity. This is part of our salvation hope for the life to come.

I'm weird I guess. I taught my 12 yr old son life skills 101 until he was 16. He learned full knowledge on how to run a household, cook real meals, yard work, maintenance on a car.

How to shop for a household, stretch your grocery money. How to never have to wear green underwear (laundry); sew on a button. He balanced my checkbook for me, to learn budgeting, paid bills and saw what was leftover :(

I let him work for roofing companies, Cleaning restaurants, grandpa's gas station. I told him it was to teach him the value of an education because low paying jobs are hard, sweaty and exhausting.

When he turned 21, he purchased his first house (a new one). He's 42 now; has 13+ houses he rents out and maintains. Works full time at a 9/5 job, has a family. He's amazing! He's teaching his son the same things.

You have to make a personal commitment to give a kid the best start in life. Schools and even Churches don't teach that. Parents have to do it.

He got some traffic tickets at 16. He knew I couldn't pay for them. I took him to the County Clerks office so he could pay them out. He learned to obey traffic laws, young.

I love being a parent. If we'd just obey God and not skip over the hard parts that are time consuming; we won't have to launch the kid. They'll launch themselves!

Let them work some summer jobs. Swimming pools don't teach them anything. Driving a car is big time maintenance and expense; they must learn. CUT OFF the fun money and they'll want to get a job. If they demand cool clothes and shoes; let them get part-time jobs.

You have to cease to be their source. They have to see their source is THEMSELVES.

My kid got to keep all his money and budget it. He was broke some months. He got the hang of it pretty quick. He got better paying jobs as he could.

I told him that no one can take your home or car, as long as you have a job to secure your freedom.

    HE ALWAYS HAD A JOB

    Write to me anytime

When James and John wanted to call down fire and brimstone from heaven and destroy the Samaritians

Jesus rebuked them saying you know not what manner of spirit you are of,....The Son of man came not to destroy mens lives to to save mens lives, Its not this beautiful planet he wants to destroy....Its our old adamic nature, Satans seat, His enemy is not this beautful planet but our old Adamic Nature that needs to be destroyed by his baptism of fire and the H.G......Who shall abide the day of his coming,...Who shall stand when he appears, for he shall be as a refiners fire and fullers soap a cleansing fire which is that H.G. FIRE THAT CLEANS AMANS HEART.....An eternal washing....Seed time and harvest for ever....And i will destroy them that destroy the earth ...There is absolutetly nothing wrong with this beautiful earth....Its mankind and his demonic nature that needs to be bornagain of an incorruptible seed etc....Which is his baptism of fire and the H.G....As our God is a consuming fire....And this is what we really need, In order for the Kingdom to be with IN US.....But plz don't look for this beautiful planet to be destroyed....I come not to destroy mens lives but to save mens lives..

Black hole is not in the Bible.

On Google, type: Black hole, Bible

I will say that everything in space was Created by God on the 1st day. Chapter 1.

    Search the words= heavens, firmament

    Genesis 1:14-18

Scientists have proved ALL planets had water at one time. New exploration has revealed dry lake beds.

ONLY EARTH has abundant water, gravity, ozone, sun, moon, tropical forests to produce oxygen ( which man is burning down to grow soybeans)

2 Peter 3 shows that earth is going to be burned up and restored to original condition WITHOUT mans pollutions, and damage.

The Antichrist wants us to think it's global warming, so they can force us to pay, pay, pay, to fix it. It's illogical.

I don't care to play the Who Done It game. I'm out of here as soon as Jesus comes in the clouds and raptures Christian believers outta here.

We've had the Bible to tell us this will happen for thousands of years!! In 1962, POLITICIANS took the Bible and the Pledge of Allegiance OUT OF ALL SCHOOL INSTITUTIONS. College too. Go blame them. Google it.

For the past 60 years, the only places that teach Bible is in Churches. Do you see the problem?

You sound young, go on YouTube and type: REVELATION STATION MOVIE

It's 1h44mins. It's all chopped up into segments too. Watch The Millennium segment too.

It will give you an idea of what is happening in our near future.

Israel is a little over 9 miles wide. A sliver. God said it's theirs forever. Except, THE ENTIRE PLANET is trying to force them off of it. Iran shoots at them every day. This President has withdrawn all help to Israel, so America will be going through CURSES spoken in Leviticus 26.( Deuteronomy 28) Three more years of being mugged daily with high prices and no hope of the old days coming back.

You should study signs in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Get a students REFERENCE BIBLE, and read it if you seriously want to know what happens next.

    Don't take any vaccination implants.

Did Peter, in his letters, ever confess that he denied Jesus 3x??

Even though I know the things he writes about are real and true, it does seem hypocritical.

To me it looks like he's imitating Pauls style of writings.
