They die in the twinkling of an eye, that means instant death and resurrection. One will have to be changed to immortality in order to enter into heaven.

    Earl.

See you at the 7th trumpet: "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." Rev 11:15

    Carolyn,

We are not given the names of the three men other than they were sent by Cornelius to Peter to enquire about the vision given to Peter. We do know that the three men were Gentiles, which is interesting.

    Shirley,

There is little direct evidence why Lucifer was cast to earth.

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" Eph 1:4

Jesus chose believers to be "in Him before the foundation of the world."

So if Lucifer was cast down to the earth, that had to be AFTER the foundation of the world. Hmmmmmm? We were chosen BEFORE and Lucifer was cast down AFTER the foundation of the world.

Lucifer was involved with Adam and Eve and The Fall.

Lucifer and the angels that fell with him, were not offered repentance and redemption for their rebellion. However, mankind has been offered repentance and redemption for their rebellion.

Jesus defeated Lucifer in The Cross and The Resurrection, bringing redemption to mankind.

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Col 2:13-15

And this was hidden from Lucifer.

"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." 1Co 2:7-8

And now, even the angels in heaven marvel at what God is doing.

"To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God," Eph 3:10

So why did God cast Lucifer to earth? He had a plan to rescue humans, created a little lower than the angels, by Himself becoming one of them and dying for their rebellion, something He didn't do for a greater creation.

    Hello Skip,

As I'll say this reply is for Sacha as well. Seeing those differences on Psalms 22:16 led me to check that verse on the site I use to go over the Holy Scriptures from other translations.

The site I refer to has the Masoretic Text which is said to be the authoritative Hebrew text of the 24 books of the Tanakh(OT) in Judaism. Using that site I copied and pasted that psalm on google translate to English. This is what came up:

Psalms 22:16 Because dog soaps are a testament to the kippon grazing kari by my hands and feet.

Which I cannot fully understand as a couple of those words I do not know.

Using the verse analysis makes more sense as the last four Hebrew words are H5362, H3738, H3027 then H7272. Which would be like "strike with violence, to dig bore or open, hands, feet." I see where the "lion" comes from as that is the Hebrew word H738 which is only in the KJV translation for "pierced" which makes no sense. As that word is not in the Masoretic Text for that Psalm.

Very interesting though. As some other verses I translated were almost exact to the KJV. Some much more simple etc.

Always good to study the Scriptures.

Greeks astronomers discovered during a lunar eclipse, the earth casts a perfect oval shadow on the moon. It is easy to verify. There was never a big foot, just a guy with a million dollar marketing strategy.

If you are indeed a young man, you're gonna pick up grease. Keep in mind, there's also adventure out there to put you on the floor laughing, remembering to breathe.

Darren, may the Spirit grace you with his wisdom and his understanding.

I'm not sure you understand the kingdom of heaven.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey them.

Luke 20: 35-36 But they who shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

(vs 36) Neither can they die anymore: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Revelations symbolizes how you obtain that world and the judgement the saints will bring upon the earth.

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world?

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them the judgement written: this honour has all his saints.

Revelation 2:26-27 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works until the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

(vs 27) And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers, even as I received of my Father.

Revelation 3:9 Behold I will make of them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews (circumcised in the heart), and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Those in the kingdom of heaven are those who are going to rule over the earth symbolized in Revelation and explained in the prophets.

The only comment I have is the audience, I believe that witnessed or spoke in tongues in all of the accounts were Jews and not Gentiles.

    Sacha,

When Christ returns, the resurrected will spend a length of time repairing and healing the earth. I do not think "slavery" as we know it will be the mode of operation.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD." Ezekiel 39:11-13 The house of Israel pulls all the weight.

When my dad, devout OT lover, was on his death bed, I asked him where is he going after he dies? He said "back into the universe."

The Bible uses duality to liken events.

Isaiah 14 is a diverse recap of end-time prophesy.

Israel (whole house) spent 430 years slaves in Africa per Genesis 15:13. Centuries later, the house of Israel, specifically the birthright people of Gen 48 (US/UK), in their respective new lands (land of the Lord), returned the favor by taking them captives whose captives they once were, some 400 years.

Can't answer anything about the audio Bible here. You can download You Version and get the KJV audio.

BTW, do you have a Craven (Jack) & Emily Metzger ancestor?

My Bible is the eSword app for iPad. I have lots of translations (20+) in this app including Hebrew (Tanach) with Strongs, KJV with Strongs, JPS (Jewish Publication Society) Old Testament.

For instance, this is a comparison of Psalm 22:16

(KJVA)For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

    (Hebrew OT)

(JPS)(22:17) For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet.

    Hello to you LEW Edwards,

I would just like to make a little comment on your post. God, as I observed many times in the Bible, is a God of order. He creates and make everything in its likeness. However, man is the only thing God created in HIS image and also HIS likeness. See the difference? IMAGE and LIKENESS is for mankind and only LIKENESS for the animals and the plants.

This should let us know we are very special to God. Could this "our likeness" be referring to the HLOY TRINITY even though holy trinity is not in the Bible? I think so. God bless you

Yes, they knew he could, but they didn't see it happening until the resurrection day! When Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life, though he believeth in me yet shall he live. Doeth thou believeth this? At the point they didnt show any faith ;)
  • Carleton - In Reply on Esther 10 - 4 years ago
Later, I think only a week ahead of Calvary, Jesus actually justified Mary by her faith as perhaps our first example of Justification by Faith later taught by Paul. Martha did not resist this teaching that Jesus gave to her benefit.

Seems complicated until it isn't. Hebrews Chapter 4 helps alot. Man after the fall of Adam made his own works and those works follow the unconverted man to this day. The same works are a burden and weigh men down to the point where man can hardly carry such a burden. But Jesus suggests that man can share in his rest by entering in if one believes. The day that matters is the day that one harden's not their heart in sin. There remains after the fall of Adam a rest to the people of God. Those whose hard hearts were broken and made contrite cease from their own works. The one who is at rest can possibly labor again into unbelief. The Lord knows are thoughts and intentions and everything is manifest into His sight. Jesus is the Son of God is our belief and if He entered onto His rest so do His believers if we hold fast to our profession of Him as or Savior. It takes a boldness to approach this throne of grace to find mercy in our High Priest.

    :)

Hi jimmie ,honestly no ,i dont think thats why Jesus cried ,i also think that martha and mary subtily reproached Jesus for not getting there sooner as they actually had faith in Jesus and his abilty to have saved Lazarus if he had been there earlier ,John ch 11 v21 and 22 and 32 .
