Darren, may the spirit grace you with his wisdom and his knowledge.

no part of revelation is going to occur in the physical sense.

revelation is spiritual warfare for the kingdom of heaven.

    revelation is completely symbolic.

isaiah 9:5 now every (natural) battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this (spiritual battle) shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

isaiah 9:19 ....and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire....

isaiah 4:4 when the lord (a consuming fire hebrews 12:29) shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of (new) zion, and shall have purged the blood of (new) jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgement and the spirit of burning.

luke 12:49 i am come to send fire on the earth; and what be i (the fire), if it (the fire) be kindled already?

    matthew 4:11 ....he shall baptize you with the holy spirit and with fire;

isaiah 9:18 for wickedness burneth as the fire (our god is a consuming fire).....

isaiah 10:16 .... and under his glory (us) he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

isaiah 24:15 wherefore glorify ye the lord in the fires ....

isaiah 31:9 ....whose fire is in (new) zion, and his furnace in (new) jerusalem.

isaiah 33:14 .....who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burning?

where the fire is never quenched (our god is a consuming fire)

isaiah 42:25 therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle; and it (the battle) hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it (the battle) burned him, and he laid it not to heart.

ezekiel 5:2 thou shall burn with fire a third part in the midst of the (new jerusalem, christ in you).....

zachariah 13:9 and i will bring the third part through the fire ....

    revelation 8:1-13

revelation 9:18 by these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire...brimstone...smoke....

    Hi SKIP VOUHGT,

I want to just add a little comment here. The Adam and Eve story was not a test. Notice God did not mentioned the tree of life until Adam ate the fruit. In a test, one has to have knowledge of a subject in order to be tested on it. The subject here is death. There is no way Adam could have had full knowledge of death because he was just 3 days old. At this time Adam, Eve and the animals only know to obey God's command "not to eat," the fruit of that tree, and they all were in full compliance.

Now in chapter 3 we are introduced to a third character, the serpent, who I like to call "the teacher." When God created the evil spirit, it choose the serpent to go into. So it was the evil spirit in the serpent that was talking with Adam and Eve to do the act of sin. I have so much more to comment on this but I'll just conclude by saying, God creates everything for a purpose. The tree was for the purpose of giving the knowledge of evil then sin and finally the knowledge of death. So what happened in the garden of Eden was exactly what was supposed to be. There is a saying "IF THERE IS A POSSIBLE FOR SOMETHING TO GO WRONG, IT WILL GO WRONG." God bless you

God is spirit. Abraham saw his back. He was too scared to look. God is so Holy, no one can look on him and live. That's why we needed Jesus to come.

Adam was formed by God from DUST. That is why humans are different colors. That and the inter-marrying with other tribes, groups, from other countries.

God Purposed: Let us make man

    Jesus spoke that Purpose

    The Holy Spirit performed it

All 3 creating together = The Godhead.

None of that is important to God. He just wants us to look like JESUS on earth: merciful, kind, loving, follower of right things (not evil), and forgiving. Speaks the truth in love; not anger or prejudiced. It's hard, but the rewards on earth and in Heaven are HUGE.

Science has proved that dust contains all colors of the spectrum.

    God is Spirit,

    The Holy Spirit is spirit

Jesus is fully God, and fully man.

The Bible calls them 'The Godhead'

Spirit means invisible to the human eye, but they are audible to the Human ear.

Satan can fake speech too. If it scares you and gives you the creeps... it probably him. :/

    Don't listen to That voice.

    1 Corinthians 6:12

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

    1 Corinthians 10:23

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

I don't think recovering alcoholics should test this out. Also, if you crash your car after drinking, your insurance could be cancelled; plus the cost of insurance goes up.

If you cause a death with a vehicle, complications and lawsuits ensue.

I worked at a DMV 23 yrs. The cost of a DWI is upwards of $9000, or more. The cost of an Uber ride is much less.

If other people see a Christian out drinking, it may influence their decision to accept Christ.

If your heart condemns you, think about that. If you or other people are not edified, then follow your conscience.

It's just as nice to meet at a coffee hangout to drink designer coffee & eat pie. Conversation is great and being sober leads to just as interesting conversations.

My friends and I would meet at a taco restaurant after church and get a huge platter of nachos with all kinds of stuff piled on and 6 or 7 people could graze on that. It was always edifying and fun! We prayed and talked about our experiences with Jesus that week. It beats being single and being home alone talking to the walls.

Sharpen your friendship skills and invite some other singles to meet up there at a specific time and place.

It's the "worlds voice" that says we have to do this with alcohol and music loud enough to cause nose bleeds.

Take a listen on YouTube to a song about not being part of the world system anymore. Type this=

    Hollaye,

Like Sacha, I also begin my prayer with Dear Heavenly Father, or sometimes just Heavenly Father. When I am done praying, I thank Him in Jesus' name.

When I pray, I pray for the Lord's will to be done in whatever it is I am asking for.

I was taught that prayer is a means by which we submit ourselves to God's will in whatever it is we are praying for.

I believe that when we ask according to His will, we have a guarantee that our prayer will be answered. But just know, it's according to His will, not ours.

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Interesting that the Lord God commanded the man, before he gave him woman. That being said, the woman would sin against him, being the one to give her the result of partaking of the fruit. The Lord then had a way to crush the head of the snake, giving Christ Jesus entrance to the salvation of mankind.

    Vance,

I am not prepared to tackle your question in full without doing a little reading myself.

I did have a question for you though. Were you in the Air Force back in the early 80's?

I was stationed at Minot AFB from 1979-1984 and worked with a Vance Galbraith. Just curious!

    Hello Charles,

I don't really understand the previous post of "name the twelve apostles". If you'd like to know where they are listed in the Bible let me know.

About how they all died I have spent a little time researching. I have a simple answer for you. One apostle, Judas Iscariot, committed suicide(hung himself) after betraying Jesus. Only one died of natural causes, probably old age, John son of Zebedee. All of the other ten disciples/apostles of Christ were killed or martyred.

    God Bless.

  • Vince - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 4 years ago
    To Ingrid Li,

Notice God did not mentioned to Adam the tree of life until after Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And no, it was not the tree of wisdom. Wisdom is achieved through knowing good and evil, and understanding is to know the difference.

You can more understanding this if you realize that Adam and Eve were both void of understanding which can only be achieved by knowing that the opposite of good is evil. Did you know that there are good and evil spirits? And that God created them both? You can find this in ISAIAH 45:7. God is the creator of both things seen and unseen. He, God created evil. He did so for a purpose, to give us knowledge and understanding so we can be wise to know God. I can go on forever on this, but I don't want to bore you or anyone else, so I'll stop here. God bless you

    RONBIN,

Alcohol is a spice to be used in drinks and food and also as a preservative. But like everything else, anything in excess can lead to abuse and death. It's the same with Adam and Eve. God command Adam to take care of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but Adam went and did more, he eat the fruit. So use it according to its purpose and proportion and all will be well with you, your neighbors and most importantly, God. God bless you
  • JOAN TERFLINGER on Hebrews 6:4 - 4 years ago
In heb.6:4 to me sounds as if they who have tasted of the goodness & become apostate then that to me sounds like blasphemy of the holy spirit if they can no longer be or repent after once being enlightened and then they cannot go to heaven does that sound like apostacy is blasphemy not denying the woos of the holy spirit & never asking jesus to be their lord & savior, but having once being a believer in christ then denying everything that the holy spirit has revealed to a person & then becoming saved then to do a 180 & never being able to return to the goodness of god they once tasted , the holy spirit (heaven). that's the same punishment as a non believer & never coming to the knowledge of jesus christ & all he has to offer in this life & the next.

    CINDY,

Yes Ms. Cindy, but still the moral of the story is, on judgement day when all sins have ran its course, God will take all His chosen ones, male and female, from this earth to the New Heavens and New Earth, and will destroy this earth and all in it with fire and brimstone. God bless you

If one is hungry and yet trying to fast, a little salt on the end of the tongue may take that hunger pain away. Our lusts or vain proceedings may also be constrained by a little salt on our conversation and that salt is God's love shared by his believers to others in love also.

God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son- John 3:16

    Wondrous Love

    Martha M. Stockton

    1821-1885

God loved the world of sinners lost, And ruined by the fall; Salvation full at highest cost, He offers free to all. O 'twas love, wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Even now by faith I claim Him mine, The risen Son of God; Redemption by His death I find, And cleansing thro' His blood. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Believing souls, rejoicing go, There shall to you be given A glorious foretaste here below, Of endless life in heaven. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Of victory now over Satan's power, Let all the ransomed sing And triumph in the dying hour, Thro' Christ, the Lord, our King. O 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love! The love of God to me; It brought my Savior from above, To die on Calvary.

Hey Stewart, Sorry for any confusion. If you study from Matthew 21-28, Mark 11-15 Luke 19-22 John12-13 This covers after Jesus rode into Jerusalem to when he was crucified. You can study and decide for yourself what day Jesus was crucified. Remember a Jewish day starts and ends at sundown. Here is a few verses may help. Read Luke 22:15-16 and John 18:28. One thought if Jesus was crucified on Wednesday the next day would be the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, that would be a holy day and they could have gone to the tomb on Friday.

The day Jesus was crucified is a discussion that should not cause division or confusion so, let the Spirit lead you and the scriptures interpret the scriptures for yourself, what we do is done unto the Lord.

    God bless, Ron

Isaiah 59:1-3 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

Malachi 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

James 4:7-10 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Isaiah 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
