Are we not seeing the beginning of sorrows? A sickness, even the death, now the surrounding of the house of stone! The freedom surrounded by a fence even unto Moab? What will be next? Will there be repentance, while we watch the Pope kneel before the prince of darkness! Or perhaps the same sickness will come forth in our seeds that give the nourishment of the corn and even the wine? Yes these are the beginning of sorrows! Turn and repent unto the God, oh Moab! So thou might be saved. Your redeemer lives! Their is salvation in none other!

Good morning all, it is the first day of the week. And it is lovely.

    Jude 1:3

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

    Seedtime and Harvest

    Charles E. Orr

    1861-?

For in due season we shall reap, if we faint not- Gal 6:9

As pilgrims and strangers we journey through life, Thro' sunshine and shadow thro' calm and strife, Each day we are scattering seed as we go; Someday 'twill be harvest- " we reap what we sow."

Tho' weary and warn and alone in your way, And storm clouds are gathering and dark is your day, Weep not, toiling one, neither faint as you go; The harvest is nearing- "we reap what we sow."

Tho' life may appear as a cold, barren waste, And comes no return of the bread you have cast, Continue to do loving deeds as you go; The harvest is nearing- "we reap what we sow."

We'll reap what we sow when the harvest is come, Someday we shall garner the deeds we have done, Then heed not the storm nor the cold winds that blow, Toil on till the harvest- "we reap what we sow."

    To Cindy,

Also Cindy, Lot and his family were not willing participants to leave the city life. God's salvation plan does not includes willing participants, HE draws and leads just like HE draws and leads Lot and his family out of the city. God bless you
  • Vince - In Reply on Genesis 17 - 4 years ago
    Hello Carleton.

Notice out of both cities only one man was saved, LOT? What that say to us? It says none were God fearing including Lot and Lot's family. It's God and His great mercy saved them. Same with us. No one deserves God's salvation, but because of His great LOVE and MERCY he choose to save many. He choose them before the world began. God bless you

    From Every Stormy Wind

    Hugh Stowell

    1799-1865

From every stormy wind that blows, From every swelling tide of woes, There is a calm , a sure retreat; Tis found beneath the mercy seat.

There is a place where Jesus sheds The oil of gladness on our heads, A place than all besides more sweet; It is the blood bought mercy seat.

There is a scene where spirits blend, Where friend holds fellowship with friend Tho' sundered far, by faith they meet A- round one common mercy seat.

Ah! whither could we flee for aid, When tempted, desolate, dismayed Or how the host of hell defeat, Had suffering had no mercy seat?

There, there on eagle wings we soar, And sin and sense molest no more; And heaven comes down our souls to greet, While glory crowns the mercy seat.

    Hi Cindy,

So I guess Lot's wife did not heed to God's word. And what older children are you referring to? It's Lot, his wife and the 2 girls. The girls were to be married but the 2 guys stayed behind. Lot and the girls must have had friends too. The wife looking back shows that her heart was more into the city's lifestyle more than the rest of the them. God bless you

    The Temple of God

    Daniel S. Warmer

    1842-1895

Not in the temples made with hands, Tho' beautiful by art; But God in mercy condescends To dwell in my heart.

Oh glory to Jesus! so sweet in me; My body, Thy temple shall forever be.

How wonderful that He would take This poor abode of sin, And wash me in His precious blood, And now abide with-in!

Oh, glory to Jesus! so sweet in me; My body, Thy temple shall forever be.

No more I think of God afar, But see Thee Lord, with-in; Oh shine in me, Thou morning star, And keep Thy temple clean.

Oh, glory to Jesus! so sweet in me; My body, Thy temple shall forever be.

O Lord, en-shrine with-in my breast, My constant joy and peace; My soul can now forever rest, Secure in Thy em-brace.

Oh, glory to Jesus! so sweet in me; My body, Thy temple shall forever be.

    To Stewart.

Take it slowly. It's not meant to be quick. Understanding is like that. Remember Adam and Eve in the garden? They lacked understanding. But after receiving the spirit of evil by eating the forbidden fruit, then understanding started to grow in them. God bless you

To talk about JESUS, is a transcending of all cultures and times. Jesus is not and cannot be only for one people or one race of people. His death on the altar of the cross is for chosen people of all nations and tongues of the whole world. This is the greatest LOVE of all. God bless you

    To Susan Hicks,

Biblically the first SECOND in a day is considered a whole 24 hour. So even though Jesus was crucified and buried Friday evening, that's 24 hours, all day Friday. He laid in the tomb the whole day Saturday, "SABBATH." He rose from the grave early Sunday morning, a whole 24 hour. A day biblically is 24 hours. Hope you see. God bless you

  • Vince - In Reply on Romans 14 - 4 years ago
The word "MIDST" is not the same as the word "MIDDLE." Midst means amongst and middle means middle. Back to the garden of Eden again. When God said to Adam, "the tree in the midst of the garden," God here is showing Adam that this tree in particular, amongst the other trees.

So yes, Friday is amongst the days of the week. Not the first day nor the last day, those 2 days, Sunday and Saturday, have their special positions. Jesus rose early in the morning, not at sundown. Hope you see. God bless you
  • Vince - In Reply on Romans 14 - 4 years ago
Everyday starts by a second, then to a minute, then to a hour and so on. At that very second a day starts, it's considered an entire day according to the Bible. This is why God says to Adam, "in the day you eat," meaning the whole day. The very word day means 24 hours. God bless you

It takes 13 months a day and an hour for the beast army to coordinate and strike (an hour, a day, a month, and a year).

And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. Revelation 9:15 We are given the 6th trumpet's, day of the Lord time of day, and the time of year is before the harvest. No one knows the day of 7th trumpet return to Mount Olive; I'm sure you will be present, you are called.

I entered a bold prognosticator, I was rejected. 7 Identities later, I'm feeling comfortable enough to exercise my grand English whit. I don't I like my user name, it reeks of arrogance and pomp. I know well enough how to defend the books integrity. I spend years filling in the blanks, gleaning secret antiquities, it's constantly on my mind. I pass up reading popular books so I can read Obadiah for the thousandth time.

Take on your future, we have clews, but no one really knows, but for faith. We all feel we live in extraordinary times, therefore navigate the storm with what God gave you, eat the book up. Your Biblical imagination is a free vacation.

    Have a great day!

Darren thanks for that ,ive always thought of thise two chapters as reffering to the use of nuclear weapons ,i belive they will be used at the very end ,most likely in the middle east but maybe elsewhere too ,of course it will also be like the days of Noah ,giving in marriage etc ,i dont always agree with what you or anyone elsr says or belives but i have to say your sense of humour is a breath of fresh air ! I never knew americans had one ! Hahaha just kidding ,im english so i was born with one ! We cant take ourselves too seriously , the Truth is very serious and i know that God has brought me this far but a sense of humour in this awfull world is essential i think .

Anthony ,im sorry you are struggling ,being human is hard work ,all Christians sin ,we try not to but it doesnt matter how many times you have read the Bible

,how often you have prayed ,how many years you have been a Christian ,for me the best thing is to read around the same time every day ,when i know i will be alone or at least have quiet in my house ,my minnimum is one chapter a day ,mostly i read a lot more chapters than that but sometimes im tired or my mind is distracted so i just read one ,pick a time and place everyday ,relax and enjoy ,once you get going you wont want to stop ,theres so much good stuff in there it really is a feast for your soul ,dont be too hard on yourself ,God loves you very much .

Rev Young said a prayer that overwhelmed me. He said on the Winning Walk TV show. I think it was March 1st broadcast, or perhaps February 22nd broadcast. I was truly inspired by this prayer and would like to have a copy so I can pray it.

Can you help me find it?
