I believe the 2 witnesses are the 2 olive trees and the 2 candlesticks are this. Olive trees are the Jews and the gentiles, Jesus is the roots and the 2 trees are grafted together. The 2 candlesticks represent the Jews and the gentiles giving light to the world, teaching the word of God to the lost. The Jews are the ones who believe Jesus is the Messiah and the Gentiles believe Jesus is the Messiah. We are the 2 witnesses, the born again believers Jews and Gentiles.

    Louis,

Man's turning point from the beginning has been, "Do I believe God?"

God gave Adam ONE commandment. Eve was deceived but Adam chose to rebel, which is the evidence of unbelief.

The entire plot line of The Bible shows God pursuing man and man's responses.

Able responds by believing God while Cain does not. Genesis 4:3-5

Noah responds by believing God Genesis 6:22

    Abraham believes God Genesis 15:6

    ...

And it all culminated in Jesus and is encapsulated in...

"And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Act 16:31

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Rom 10:9-10

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have BELIEVED in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1Co 15:1-4

Upon true saving BELIEF in God man's position with God changes. Before BELIEF he is an enemy of God. After true saving BELIEF in God he is at peace with God.

"For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." Rom 5:10

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" Rom 5:1

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." Jud 1:24-25 (KJVA)

Perhaps too by the sin of these two cities it was nearly impossible for God fearing men to co-exist.

So I guess those who did not practice are all doomed to hell? This is just self righteousness on the part of anyone who thinks it's by their works they will be counted worthy for heaven. God bless you

I really want to know about baptism. Some church believe in three immersion "in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" repeating all the three Person of the Trinity each time you are immersed in the water three times.

Others baptized only in the name of Jesus Christ ignoring the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Others also in the Trinity in one immersion.

So I want which is right and if all are right I will want to know. Thank you.

Why do you think Lot's wife looked back? It's because the whole family was already influenced by the sins of the city. Also, where did the girls get the idea to sleep with their father? Sinful influences. God bless you

I've been hearing about a massive super hadron collider in the EU built underground that is 7 miles in diameter. It was designed to try to open another "parallel dimension" by slamming protons together at a very high rate of speed to 'create a big bang environment with a goal of sending something from ours into this other dimension, but also possibly bringing something from the other dimension into ours. It is called CERN. They have their "GOD" Shiva statue in the entryway and they also worship abbadon/appolyon. I feel like they are 'possibly' trying to open the "pit" (or they are the 'vehicle') to open the bottomless pit. Has anyone done any research into this? VERY strange to me.....

I am Asking prayers for peace in my family

My Husband and two young adult sons don't recognize the Sabbath day and does not live up to being committed to Christ. Our household is havoc no family communication. No peace or communication between husband and wife. Children quiet don't talk much. They are 22 and 24 years old. Husband is more concerned with alcohol and friends in street. Never set any Godly examples for our sons. Never talked to our sons about becoming young men or never spoke to them about being responsible adults. He always wanted to be their friend and be peaceful rather than teaching responsibility! My husband does anything that causes a financial or mental hardship on me as his wife. He lies to others about me that I don't won't to go anywhere and don't like people. He does not recognize me and respect me because I don't care to be around the type of company he keeps. He chooses a materialistic life style and does not have any family values at home. He refuses counseling because he will not tell the truth therefore counseling has always been ineffective for us. He is a functioning alcoholic and has always worked extremely hard He is retired now but nothing has changed he does things that he knows will annoy me or make me unhappy ex. intentionally leaving things out of place in the house, placing tools and other things in the bedroom or kitchen instead in the garage or wherever they belongs. He uses profanity when speaking to me and negative tones. He tries to avoid this behavior around my sons now that they are grown and have approached him about it recently.

I am asking God to change his behavior and let peace reign in his heart and our family. I always pray and ask God to let my family respect God and HIS way, in the name of Jesus!

Dear Lord please help us! How long Lord? I love you and want my family to love you and live for you and live Godly and happy as a family!

Thank you Lord for my family.

For born again believing Christians, Christian life is a practice. This is our reasonable service in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
  • Vince - In Reply on Romans 14 - 4 years ago
Remember in the creation story where it says "the evening and the morning were the first day" and so on? Well this shows that a day here is evening and morning not sundown and sundown.

Jesus die Friday evening and was placed in the tomb, that's one day. He laid in the tomb all day Saturday morning and evening, indicating the Sabbath which is absolutely no work; the second day. He rose from the grave Sunday morning, indicating the New Sabbath, the third day.

Keep in mind the first second in a day is a complete 24 hour day, biblically. Also to keep in mind is a day to God is like 1000 years and 1000 years a day ( 2 Peter 3:8). Since Jesus was crucified over 2000 years ago, that means we are now in the third day of His resurrection which could be the time of His coming any moment now. God bless you

Hey Darren, This may take a bit, to study all the scripture you have put out there. First, I admire your passion whether I agree or not with what you post. We agree Satan casting out starts the 42 months great tribulation but I do not agree this initiated the 6th trumpet the 2nd woe. If we read Revelation 11 and Revelation 12 it was the third woe the final woe. Rev.11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. Rev.12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Revelation is hard to grasp because it is not written in chronological order. Some of the same events are revealed differently in the seals, trumpets, and bowls.

I will study the verses you posted and get back. Ron

Did I mention that anabaptists have been around a long time already, teaching by their lives, that one must be born again when infant baptism was required by law. Lambs reigning with Christ have no fear of their neighbor, instead we love our neighbors as ourselves.

You are not alone Sacha. I have the same strife in my world. Nobody cares or wants to hear it. Slag the Gospel without knowing it. Too frightened to let go of the material word we are in. I hear it every day "fairy tales" "Big man in the sky"

Unfortunately people love to sin ( we ain't immune to that of course ) but not willing to be accountable or come to the Lord in repentance or even give it a chance. I feel alone in my family but I know I'm not alone at the same time.

Patience and a good testimony. It can be hard I Know.

Godly sorrow leads to repentance it says, so you will not commit that sin again because you know it is wrong OK , but what if you are tempted to commit it again does that mean you did not repent of it? Or what if you did not hate it even though you knew it to be sinful and still did not repeat the sin, did you still repent of it..
