I see this statement as a attempt by the authors to once again smear gods reputation. the millstone could simply be a natural occurrence creating extreme destruction. The earth's processes take president over human life, its not always the wrath of God punishing people for their sin; with out a planet one can not have a human form of existence. possibly this verse is simply a colorful prediction. A proud statement like this makes it sound as if the angel is causing this destruction and somehow Gods at fault. furthermore verse 21:18 could be a distraction, a radical attempt to decrease the real trueness and impact of the chapters depth. No one knows the heart of God. If this statement was a clear vision from the creator the author would not have used the word "like" when describing this perception. these literary detours are common throughout the scriptures, don't be fooled.

It's sad to see where Israel overcame in Egypt to where they are now.

I was shocked when I read the part of God telling them go and have the Gods you follow to relieve you of your oppression since you have forsaked me. I was reacting as if watching a movie with the response of "you tell them God!". God is the true real OG.

You accept and obey, you will be blessed. You reject and disobey, you will be cursed. To be saved though, it's all the act of God and God alone. God did not do His part and then leave the rest for whoever can and whoever will. Salvation is not God did His now you do yours if you want to be saved. God bless you

Hello Howard, this means that when Jesus comes, some will be alive on earth and some will be buried awaiting Jesus's return and will meet him in the air and await judgment. Some people call this event a 'rapture'.

    Hello Darren

Please do not take this comment as a personal attack. What matters in this forum and discussion is solid, Biblical truth and accuracy. The rest is blasphemy and should be posted elsewhere, if posting is a must..

If you believe that 5 trumpets have already blown I would like to ask the following questions:

I would assume the trumpeting from the skies would be loud enough to hear worldwide?Unmistakably. Why have they not been heard? Do you believe this to not be an actual sound coming from above? If the trumpet is an alarm to man, we know that it would be in a frequency that man would undoubtedly hear.

If 5 trumpets have been blown why have the things that Revelations 8-11 clearly states not happened yet?

Clearly, these things have Not occurred. Not the 1st, not the 2nd, not the 3rd, not the 4th and not the 5th. Hasn't happened. It would be blatantly obvious. A third of the population hasn't died, a third of the world hasn't burned, a third of the sees haven't died, a third of the sun, moon and stars..etc

I'm curious as to how/why you believe even the first trumpet has sounded.
  • Vince - In Reply on Judges 7 - 4 years ago
It's Holy Ghost filled before resurrection and not the other way round. And by the way, are you basing your resurrection on your acts of faith? If that's the case, then read the book of revelation carefully and see if the LORD will teach you how and who will be resurrected. God bless you

    Hey Richard!

Thanks for your reply. I read your post and see where you mentioned free will. We all have free will for everything that's available and convenient to us depending on our desire at that time. The only free will mankind don't have is the free will for heaven. We have all been placed to face God's wrath of death which is, heading for hell, but Almighty God foreknew the ones He choose to be with Him eternally. He choose them before the world began by His great mercy and grace. Just like we had no choice in being born in this world, same with being born again in God's Kingdom, the choice is and must be God's.

If that choice is left to you and me, how then will the millions of souls that perished in the womb from Adam till now and more to go the same way today and in the future, choose to be saved?

How will and how have the autistic members of the societies around the entire world be able to know what they are doing in choosing to be saved?

How will God judge the other nations of people who have no way of getting the gospel of the LORD JESUS due to their cultural up bringing and destain of other cultures?

How about those who lived and died before Jesus was even born?

And finally, what will happen to children who died very young before they could even understand reading and writing much less spell Jesus' name?

The answer is simple, God has chosen His own out of all these groups of souls including the rest of us who are not in these categories. For us to choose to be saved, then all will have to have equality in terms of hearing the word, accessible to the word and freedom to practice the word. I hope you see. God bless you

Who are the overcomers? Some groups say that this select fraction of the Christians will be raptured before the tribulation with the rest of the Christians left to go through varying lengths of the Tribulation.

    Richard,

I read your post and I just want to say Amen! And thank you for using 1 Corinthians 14:22. I believe that to be the only verse in the bible that specifically tells us what tongues are for. And I also believe that the only place we see its proper use is in Acts Chapter 2.

They spoke in languages (Tongues) unknown to them but known by those who were hearing them speak. Those "tongues" were actual known languages. They had no clue what they were saying. But the ones who heard them understood. What a beautiful picture of God's Spirit in action. Those who heard them speak in tongues knew that they had no way of knowing their native languages, adding more power to what they were hearing had to be from God.

I personally have never spoken in tongues. But if I ever do, I hope it is the same as those in Acts Chapter 2, God's power working through me to witness the gospel message to someone in their language, perfectly, a language I do not know. And like you, I know I have God's Spirit living inside of me. And by knowing that, I find comfort in knowing that I lack nothing.

And when we talk about "gifts," I believe the only gift we are promised is the gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe that is the only gift we are all given. Everything else is just an expression of God's Spirit and His grace!

    God Bless!!!

Exactly where in the bible one can find the scripture referring to age of Jesus being 33 1/2 years old when he died ?
  • Adam - In Reply on Matthew 6 - 4 years ago
Hi Wayne, what the Bible says about flat or round earth has been asked/answered recently, but maybe it wasn't yours.

Isaiah 40:22 says the circle of the earth which to me means round as a globe. This is reinforced by anyone who travels and knows they can fly in the same direction and end up where you started. There are other scientific ways to prove the earth is round too which is consistent with the Bible.

The verse you refer to say the 4 corners of the earth. To me, nothing in this verse indicates that the earth is flat. Revelations is also full of symbolism and visions which needs to be taken into consideration.

    God bless...

I assume your question is if it is a sin to have sexual relations outside of marriage and if so, the answer to that is yes. It's called adultery or fornication. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

Hi everyone! The Lord has help my husband and I in so many ways, it is amazing! After we got married many things came into play. First miracle is when we were going to sell our house and move to another state for retirement. For 2 years every weekend we went to look at houses. At last our agent showed us house that I did not want to move in. We put out our fliers to sell our old house. We were amazed that we sold it in one month. We have never seen a house go so fast. Now we needed a place to move to. My husband wanted us to look at the property I was not into. Before you know it we got it in (are you ready for this) 1 month.

As time went on, we now know why God wanted us to have this house. We moved to a small town and between 2 good sized small cities. We started doing ministry to the local senior center. There was our church denomination in those 2 small cities. 18 miles in both direction. We truly believe that God did have a hand in all this. May God give you the love and grace that he has bless us with.

Answer my questions and I'll answer yours. Only 1 person here has knowledge of what I say. You want me to tell you sweet things, sweet things, now that was promised to me. Lord don't worry, you'll find out anyway, God sure gonna give you everything some day. But till the end I'm worried that my companions just can't seem to find their way.
