    " John 3

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."

We are not always near a baptismal when we pray to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. We are all SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise; our names are recorded THEN, in the Lambs Book of Life.

Water baptism is a Public statement of Faith in Jesus Christ. There are no rules on the timing of that public display. When Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist: it was to fulfill "all righteousness". It also fulfilled a prophesy of the event.

The Holy Spirit is in charge of the NEW BIRTH. He seals us, He Baptises us. He bestows the gifts He chooses for us. He teaches us on sin, righteousness, and the World to come. He reveals who Jesus Christ is. If you need Anything... ask Him FIRST.

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person of the Godhead. He is God. What the Bible teaches on this...is what it is. Believe the Bible; the written Word of God.

There are many teachings on water baptism. Do what your Bible shows to you. I think it's a wonder way to celebrate a wonderful event with friends and family.

My comment is that the word of God is not being accepted in today's world as it was meant to be,are we in that time when man have turned from sound doctrine?
  • Norman Walker Butch on Deuteronomy 18 - 4 years ago
There is something that really worries me and that is I was put on pain pills a long time ago and now I wonder if God holds that against me? I cannot just stop taking them and I sure do not want to go to hell because of it! They were given to me by a Doctor but not a first rate really good Doctor so what do you all think. I am going to stop taking them but it is not my choice to do so. I am so afraid God is mad at me for it and I do not want anything to keep me from going to Heaven! I am a very strong believer and I believe every word in the Bible but I still get this feeling God is mad at me for it! Please tell me what you all think!
  • God said not to MIX Religions Had nothing to Do With Colors - In Reply on Deuteronomy 6 - 4 years ago
    God wasn't speaking about color.

He was speaking about intermarry between pagan religions and Christ following religions. Marrying an unbeliever is very difficult to say the very least.

God desired union between husband and wife; and for children to be raised in the parents unity in belief.

Deuteronomy 28 says to choose. Wisely. Choose Life: not Death.

    Christianity plus Worldliness= Compromise.
  • The Harvest - In Reply on John 4:54 - 4 years ago
If you use the SEARCH BOX on this website, you will see for yourself what the Bible says about a/any subject. No matter denomination, persuasion: you rely on what the scriptures say.

    LORD OF THE HARVEST

"For unsaved loved ones, it takes rock solid faith in Jesus (unmovable), to pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers into the paths of your resistant relatives.

He arranges divine appointments for people to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ with the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.

They, with the Father, CREATED all we see and know. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? In REVELATION there is a scene of Jesus with a sickle, reaping the Harvest.

Get in on this! Pray for these stubborn relatives, loved ones, belligerent teenagers; even the old, the drugged up; the angry at life, everybody! Even perfect strangers.

Christ-like Love should drive you to your knees, often if not every day. Budget one hour to do serious business in your prayer life. Pray for LABORERS TO BE SENT.

This is called, love and obedience to the known will of God. Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest. Sitting at the right hand of God, making intercession for all saints. Ask and receive. Keep your faith fixed on Jesus only.

PRAY TO THE LORD OF THE HARVEST.

    " Matthew 9:37

    Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

    Matthew 13:30

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into MY BARN.

    Matthew 13:39

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels."

    Joel 3:13

Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

  • Confessing Jesus on Revelation 2 - 4 years ago
    Matthew 10:32

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

    Luke 12:8

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

    Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    1 John 4:15

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

    John 12:42

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

    Romans 14:11

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

    Philippians 2:11

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    2 John 1:7

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

    Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

    Romans 15:9

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

    John 9:22

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

    1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • Dianne - In Reply on Proverbs 1:26 - 4 years ago
Anthony once a person gets born again what We have been given is perfect in an imperfect body, so the potential to sin is always there. Read Romans 8 about walking by the spirit. The true God does not want us walking around afraid of Him why would He as a Loving Father want to harm His Spiritual Children, thats like saying if you have a child who doesn't listen then one day he changes and desires to obey all the time you still think bad of the child, doesn't make any sense. Hense God is almighty but also a tender loving merciful and forgiving father, also in Romans its the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. Endeavor not to think about the past, and look towards your future with your True Father and His Son. Good Day.

Rod, Please notice that Alex neglects/omits mention of Jesus on the cross paying for our sins. He is apostate, heretical and most sadly lost. He rants, but has preconceived notions he wants to justify, which counter much scripture. We are warned of such people and it should not surprise us to see such people here, as a fowl sent only to steal away the truth God has sown. Try as we might to get through to him for the sake of his soul, he rejects truth. As long as he blasphemes it indicates a heart unprepared by God. As in our case, only God can save, and our efforts on his behalf are better spent at prayer. Never the less, open rebuke here on the very same site, serves to put other people on notice of the error he is teaching.

Leslie,Your confusion is from lack of Bible knowledge, right? In all honesty, whatever your are told, even here on this site, you need to confirm for yourself from the scriptures. God speaks to us from his word, and you have done well to come here. The 1000yrs is likely a reference to the millennial kingdom, which is yet to exist on Earth. It is not a "reset",but it is a fullfilment of a promise to the nation of Israel.

Now,more importantly, how to search the Bible for yourself at this site.In the search window you can type in any word and the site will list each instance of use.Once the page opens with the list of locations where the word is used, you can then limit the search to one of four options, all, old, new or apocrypha. In my opinion, only the first three are useful and apocrypha is very questionable as to being biblical at all.A hardcopy/book that performs,as this site,is called a concordance.Three concordances that already exist are the Strong's, Young's and Cruden's,and again my opinion is,that Strong's will suit you best,in that it is ready to further your word searches by listing references to the original languages of Hebrew and Greek.

Since you refer to yourself as "strict",I suspect that you have an opinion of salvation, that it is something you do that gets you to heaven. And since you are a sinner,as is every other person, except Jesus, you need complete forgiveness from God,to enter heaven. To become a saved person, the Bible teaches that you must trust that,in his dying on the cross,Jesus paid all your debt of sin,all your sins, past, present and future. It is by the grace of God that this is made known to you.You must speak to God,and you will,by his grace, recieve a personal understanding from him,as to what his son did for you on the cross. If he truly has forgiven you,it is for eternity.Your trust in him to save you must be sincere, and it will be tested as your old nature will resist changes he will make in you.read 2Timothy 2:15 U R in my prayers.May God bless U.

I don't believe that this portion of Scripture speaks of an abortion. There is no indication at all that she conceived from an illicit relationship, rather, that if her husband suspected her of engaging in such relationship & then brought her to the priest for administering the Jealousy Offering, then the results of the consumption of the offering would determine what would happen to her.

If she didn't suffer as a result, then she was free to go, as the Lord showed the priest that she was guiltless & she would still be able to become pregnant. However, if she was found guilty, then what seems to be a swelling of the belly (uterus?) & rotting of the thigh (?) would be her punishment for the rest of her life. I would imagine that she would have suffered continually because this affliction coming upon her, & possibly her other internal organs also being affected as a result. And of course, the ignominy of being found unfaithful to her husband made her a curse & cause of gossip amongst the people.

Of course, we're not told of what happened, if at all, to the man with whom she committed adultery.

My considered belief is that, Yes, that person who is saved through Jesus Blood & faith in that redemptive work, will enter God's Kingdom regardless of water baptism. When he is saved, when truly convicted of sin & repents, at that very moment God's Spirit baptizes him. And this baptism entails forgiveness of all his sins, given a new birth by the Spirit taking up residence within & affecting his mind & spirit towards holiness, being fully accepted of God, becoming a child of God, receiving God's blessings (His gifts, His fruit, His inheritance) & the Spirit's sealing, marking him as one belonging to God making his salvation fully secure.

If we add anything to that 'saving faith', the faith that God requires, then it amounts to acts or works that we perform to help in that salvation. It could be water baptism, the Lord's Supper, self denial, works of service & many other things that people do, just to make sure that God is pleased with them & accepts them. If that's the case, then it's no longer faith, but works that saves - and this goes against Scripture ( Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:4-7). But once we're saved by faith alone, then the ordinances of water baptism & the Lord's Supper follow, as well as pursuing a life of holiness & works of service generated by the new life in Christ.

So neither water baptism or anything else apart from faith is required for salvation as baptism is only an initial physical testimony to you & others of a changed life being identified with the crucified & risen Christ.

I was raised strict Protestant, and I have never heard of this, but please help me to know if I have heard from a false prophet, or if I misunderstood. I am being told of a second harvest, in which christ returns for what some are referring to as "the second harvest", in which I am told is his second return, after 2000 years, for what some are referring to as "the great reset", and that he resets the world for 1000 years before returning for the final time. Is this in any way valid? I'm confused.

I would say to post 8 to 12 scriptures throughout the day on Facebook and Instagram (Actually read the scriptures you are posting). Go in consecutive order meaning that if you do the book of John start at John 1:1 and for each hour or every 2 hours post 1 scripture. So do John 1:1-8 for the whole day and the next day do John 9-16. If you happen to miss a scripture for that day don't try to make it up, Just do 8 for the next day from where you left off. Another thing you could do is you can post scripture of the day or scripture of the week and post it 8 to 12 times each day. Facebook allows you to use different backgrounds so this will break up the monotony. I would say join a Facebook group or a few groups and post the same scripture to each group for that hour. This way you are sowing seed or watering a seed. You are telling other people about Jesus Christ - The great commission. Lastly I also wanted to point out that if you did Not want to use Facebook. then use your thumb or finger in your traditional bible or phone bible app and computer bible app, and place your thumb or finger over each word in the bible, do this for up to 8 scriptures. you can do more if you wish. this will help to make sure you are reading at a slow pace so it will be meditation. You can say this out loud or say it in your head if you wish or you can even whisper each word. A good place to start would be Psalm 119 because that is the meditating chapter. Lastly ask God to help you to meditate in such a way that is pleasing to him.

You're correct, that "no man can see God's Face & live". And so here in Exodus 24, I don't believe the people saw God's Face, only that which God chose to reveal to them. You can have a look at Ezekiel 1;26-28 to read of Ezekiel's vision of God, that he too was limited to what he saw 'of God' but certainly, what was shown to him was so glorious & powerful, that he could only "fall upon his face" (in awe & in dread of being instantly consumed) - such was his sight. And so too, was Moses spared, when God, in Mercy, covered Moses' face as God's Glory passed by him.

In the Old Testament economy, God had ordained that the sacrifice of animals were necessary in regards to man's dealing with sin & God's observance of it. It's not really a matter of God being Holy & a Spirit Being & animals being flesh & blood. It's a case of what was appropriate at that time to deal with sin.

As you know, that all sin is detestable to God & those who commit sin (i.e. all of us), have broken God's Law & Design, & the "wages (payment) of our sin is death" ( Romans 6:23). But God in His great Love didn't want us to perish into Hell (which was created for the Devil & his angels). He wanted us, His creation made in His Likeness, to have every opportunity to be saved from such a place & be with Him forever, worshipping Him.

So when sin reigned in mankind & particularly so in His chosen people, Israel, God in Love, instituted a sacrificial system, whereby through the sacrifice of pure, clean animals, Israel would recognize their sin & the need to make a (temporary) payment for it & by doing so, God would be appeased & not destroy them. So, why use animals, you ask?

Well, Hebrews 9:22 says: "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Since man would have to pay for his sins by dying (i.e. giving up of his life as punishment), God ordered that a pure animal, unstained by sin, could be his substitute in death. That is, by the shedding of an animal's blood, Israel's blood would not be shed (i.e. sent to hell). It's sad for the animal, but it meant that for its life, man's (Israel's) life could be spared. Yet this was only temporary until God brought in His Own Sacrifice that would no longer be a temporary covering & temporary forgiveness, but would be permanent in every way. So, in answer to your question, it would no longer be an 'earthly' sacrifice, but a Heavenly One, coming out of the Being of God as the Son of God, the Perfect Sacrifice sent to redeem both Israel & us back to God forever.
