Here's more scriptures in the old testament why we believe in the trinity.

Malachi 2:17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or,

( Where is the God of judgment? ) ""Notice ch 3.1."" Malachi 3:1 (KJV) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. ""Now let's tie this together with a few more verses"" ( Isaiah 40:3-The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.) Now let's see who came as these 2 characters. Matthew 11:10 - ( For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.) John the baptists came in the office of Elijah and God came manifested in the flesh. ( If he didn't Malachi, Isaiah and Jesus got it wrong. )

I believe it is more logical to explain the Holy Spirit this way.

God is the source of all truth.

God could not reach man from heaven so he sent Jesus with His truth for all people.

Jesus is the truth made flesh.

The truth Jesus brings is the same as the truth of God the Father. But Jesus himself cannot speak the truth to every person.

The Holy Spirit is the truth.

The Holy Spirit is truth. The same truth as the truth of God and the same truth as the truth Jesus brings to all humans. The Holy Spirit can go everywhere. Truth can be spoken, written, sent out on the radio, the television and the internet. Truth, the Holy Spirit, can reach all people.

    They are all three truth.

    Truth Truth Truth

So, yes you can say they are three in one. They are truth, truth, truth. All three are the same truth. If you have the Holy Spirit in you, you also have the truth of God and the truth of Jesus in you. If you depart from the truth you do not have the Holy Spirit and you do not have God or Jesus. All three are truth and all three are gone when you depart from the truth.

Sheri, the Spirit has graced you with his wisdom and understanding. Most don't understand that THE DAY OF THE LORD has been going on for 2000 years.

Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in THAT DAY, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in a clear day.

Matthew 27:45 And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned in darkness, and the MOON into blood, BEFORE the terrible DAY OF THE LORD come.

Psalm 89:36 It (his seed, Christ) shall be established for ever as the MOON, and as a faithful witness in heaven.

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is my FAITHFUL WITNESS......

John 19:34 .....and forthwith came there out blood and water.....

Zachariah 14:7 IT SHALL BE ONE DAY which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass at evening time it shall be light.

It still isn't light and 2000 years has already passed.

The Spirits grace continue upon you.

Hi Lou, I grew up protestant so I'm not too familiar with RC tradition of communion or if there is a difference, but for me as I'm walking up for communion (pre covid) I look at the cross and say a little prayer of thanks to Jesus and for his sacrifice on the cross for my salvation. The actual act of going up and accepting the bread and wine in communion, is merely a public acknowledgement that you believe (faith) in the salvation of the cross and all that it stands for. As in Luke chapter 22 Jesus states that as you eat the bread or drink the wine that you do this in remembrance of Him. I also think that you answered your own question in that by grace through faith and prayer, we do seek forgiveness with God the Father through Christ Jesus. Throughout the NT some of Jesus and his apostles main teachings are faith (believe), forgiveness, mercy, compassion and so on. I hope this helps.

Hebrews chapter 11 Paul explains faith, John 3:16,

Luke 22:19 "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me." Luke 22:20 "Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you." Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:9 "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:18 "For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father." Galatians 3:26 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

Food for thought. Why did the man that wrestled with Jacob touch Jacob's thigh and put it out of place? Why not Jacob's arm? Touching the thigh was a significant sign. It was for blessings. It was an oath. It was their promised word. Do you see where I am going with this? This was a spiritual encounter with a blessing to follow. We name our children what we think is a pretty name. Names in the Bible were important. We should choose wisely when naming our children.

If you believe there is no Trinity, read where God tells us that his son sits on the right side of his throne and the earth is his (Jesus') footstool. You must by faith except his birth, life, burial and resurrection. When we become Christians (real born again), we are told that we are dead in Christ. I think we are to follow Christ as our example for living and dying. May all who reads this be born-again. God bless each.

I noticed that this scripture posted here in I John5;7 is wrong. In the King James version it should say 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. This means that these three are one, not agree in one. You could say there is nothing wrong because all three manifestations agree which may be true but this isn't the message this scripture is trying to convey. This scripture has nothing to do with whether the three agree. It is showing us that all three manifestations are of one God, meaning should you get to heaven one day you won't see God with his son standing next to him and perhaps a dove upon the throne sitting there. If we believe we can change scriptures to support our own Trinitarian beliefs by editing holy scriptures we are very extreme danger of not being able to enter heaven.

    Revelation 22:18-19

I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

Hello I would like to ask prayer for my sister she's having a severe pain now in her stomach, because she's having a gallstone, her gallbladder need to be remove. But she said by faith pain will be gone and gallstone will be gone with no operations. In God we trust God is bigger than our trials, hardships, problem. The God that holds our tomorrow. I believe that Jesus is a healer now and forever. He is not deaf nor short handed to hear and reach our prayer, I believe in power of prayer that can change anything and everything. Because we are serving the all mighty, all powerful God that is not limited his power. Our God is good to those who wait and trust in Him. I declare complete healing for my sister. I rebuke also the autism that was accused to my nephew without the test I render that powerless. In Jesus name In him we trust that God is the awesome God. That no weapon against my family will prosper I am serving that God who protects my family. In Jesus name amen. I claim the victory.

White signifies purity and is the traditional color to signify the bride is a Virgin.

The Bible does not allow sex outside of marriage except to raise up an offspring for a deceased family member.

If she has had sex with the groom or boyfriends in the past, then she should not wear white.

The wedding is to be within the confines of the Church and not 'allowed' by the State.

Man has now given the State authority to decide if two people can be married.

I said "IF" as if you have to get a license from the State, that license can be denied.

    Acts 9:3-5 (KJV)

I would like to elaborate on this verse a little more Because it takes a lot more energy to deny the deity of Jesus christ/Emanuel than it does to except it.

Acts 9:3-5. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Here we see Saul in vs 3 he's surrounded by light, "the Glory of God that he spoke to Israel in the wilderness" then he heard a voice from the light, "Saul,Saul, why persecutest thou me" and Saul answers to the only God he knew, being he was a pharisee, WHO art thou Lord? And Jesus answered his question directly! " I AM Jesus " whom thou persecutest. Jesus was returned to his former Glory.

In this dark day of the LORD all congregations and World are under judgement...yet God is feeding his people through his Word.

In that day (Day of the LORD), seven women (fullness of earthly congregations), do not want God's Word (bread) but want to be called by his name (Christian).

    __________________________

Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

2In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

3And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

4When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

That's not necessarily so. One can be so moved & engaged with the Holy Spirit that his prayers can become so vibrant & focussed. He may find himself using a gift of other tongues or his earthly language in such prayer. Also see 1 Corinthians 14:14-16, where the instruction concerns the use of other tongues - he can pray in the spirit (tongues) or he can choose to pray with understanding (using his own language or also having the gift of Interpretation of that tongue). And in the Church, interpretation must be given, whether in some utterance or in prayer, so that the Church might receive the Word & be blessed.

The abomination of desolation has already happened twice. . It was during the time of the Maccabees. Antiochus Ephinaes arrived in Jerusalem and stopped the Jewish daily sacrifices. He brought idols of Zeus inside the Holy Temple and he slew many, many pigs inside the Holy Temple and their blood spilled inside making the Temple an abomination, and YHWH's spirit departed making the Temple desolute of Him. The Greeks then converted the Temple into a temple to Zeus

You can read this in the book of Maccabees.

And again when Rome sacked Jerusalem. They also slew pigs in the Temple and brought in idols to Zeus and Jupiter. The Romans converted the Temple to a Temple to Zeus and Jupiter.

And it's going to happen again. The religious Jews in Israel have everything prepared to build another Temple.

And it too will have pigs slain inside and pagan idols will be brought in and it will be converted to worship the earth/Gaia/Mary? Where people can come and be forgiven of their sins against the earth They can do penance and atonement to Gaia/Mary. And the Pope of Rome will sit on the throne.

Proverbs 31:10 is the closest one that I can think of, minus the 'coral'. Job 28:18 speaks of wisdom being of more worth than rubies & the mention of 'coral' is there.

Regarding the behaviour of husbands to their wives, see: Colossians 3:19; 1 Peter 3:7; Ephesians 5:25-29,33.

And for children's behaviour: Colossians 3:20; Ephesians 6:1-3; Proverbs 13:24.

What is The Communion Paul speaks of at Table of The Lord? I am asking here because I came up as a Roman Catholic and now after 61 years I am looking at the receiving of a physical communion at Mass as possibly being sin. Why am I asking God The Father to accept another sacrifice each Sunday though a Priest when Christ's sacrifice on the cross was and always will be The Sufficient Sacrifice allowing me to seek forgiveness directly with God The Father through Christ Jesus? Need some help here as I'm unclear at the moment.
  • FUNKE OGUNSOLA on Proverbs 18:1 - 4 years ago
The various translations of Prov 18:1 show that the one who separates himself in that context separates himself from sound wisdom, probably because it does not align with his own thinking/understanding. It thus means that in his desire to seek knowledge and understanding, he alienates himself from the crowd so he can weigh or juxtapose other wisdom for his best purpose. Hence, verse 2 calls him a fool who has no delight in understanding of good sense; he only wants to reveal what is in his heart to others.
