There is only one Lord and his name is Emanuel. (of God). Lord means one who has dominion over you and is your saviour and master. We should never give Satan any such title for he is destined to eternal damnation.

I have read the Bible, in many translations and in my poor understanding and translation of Greek. Over the years I have heard and read about St Luke's stating that His mother "laid Him in a manger ..." ( a feeding trough). Many people have spoken , written, about this event and why St. Luke put the story of Jesus' birth in his narrative. My guess is that all explanations are valid.

My thought is that the act of placing Jesus in a "MANGER" is that St. Luke is prefiguring ( if that is the proper word to use) the Last Supper and what we do as Christians to be fed and to be as one with our Lord and Saviour " Jesus Christ ".

From the moment oh Jesus' birth God is calling us to be one with Him and in so doing so we will be empowered to do what we are called to do, as individuals as part of the body of Christ.

Thank you very much, Mishael & Chris. Sometime later, I too realized that I had come to the END of the chapters!! The only option was to proceed to the next chapter.

I happen to have a hardback version of NRSV: if I had only gone to another room to check it, I would have realized my mistake!

I am seeing that the Fig tree is in the season. The many signs we now see are clear. I caution people about thinking everything is already figured out about end times. Many ministries interpret everything and assign times, notions, people, and circumstances. I believe prophecy here is to keep people thinking and studying to find out for themselves. The scrolls will happen to open when we truly find answers. I believe most evangelicals should question the pre-trib rapture. There are many new interpretations that lean to mid-trib. This means we just don't get to think we are outta here. We may go through war and be killed and persecution and martyrdom before mid-trib. As I understand the first half of the trib may result in half the earth's people dying.

I love the story of Job. I relate to him a lot. I just want to ask why God let Satan kill Job's offspring? I know Jesus loves me but why didn't God forbid the devil to kill them? Is not God's love equally for all people? Did they deserve the punishment? I didn't see anything to indicate that? Job was an example of someone who is upright and faithful. I have always felt that God is Love and still believe so. I feel guilty for even asking the question. Should I be feeling this way?

Oh no! You have made a horrible mistake! Marriage is the most honorable gift from God! Marriage is holy it is pure, it is consecrated from above! Jesus is the bridegroom, he will come for his church. Marriage is from God. What shall I do if there is no forgiveness , what would Christ do. No, no, you be married before the angels of heaven, in His church. His church is everywhere!

I am sorry that you are struggling with what many people are going through. It doesn't sound crazy at all, however, if that voice you hear is saying other things to get you to hurt yourself and others, seek professional help right away before it gets out of control. Even if you need to talk to someone, contact a church, because there are prayer lines that can assist, or just speak to a professional that can help you get through these tough days that we are in. Know that you are not alone, because there are wonderful professionals out here to help. Talk to a family member if available, because you don't have to go through this alone. Find Christian friends at a church to keep yourself occupied, because when you sit around, that allows thoughts to enter in our minds, so become active, get a hobby, read a book, listen to music, talk with family and friends on the phone, but try to keep busy and keep thoughts on positive things. For me I have no tv up in my home because it is too negative for me. Every time I turn it on there is nothing good on it but garbage. Keep yourself wrapped in the glory of Jesus Christ and HIS light, because when we do light comes upon us. May peace be in your home, the peace Jesus Christ promise and not the world. Blessings

Yes it is real because it happens to me all the time and he knows right when to attack my brain! He will do it every time I think about Jesus. He will pop into my head and say something to try to get me to not believe what I am saying to God is saying and I tell him to get out of my head and leave me alone and then I might as Jesus to help me get him out of my head and he will! I tell him I hate him and leave me alone and he will go away! I may sound crazy but it is true almost every day of my life and he is still trying and will not stop!

I wish there was a way to talk back and forth on this site and there may be and it may be me not knowing how but I would love that!

Neee prayers for dealing with CPS. I h ave my two great grandchildren now and it seems as though my case worker is against me. She turns everything I ask, (for clarification) around and tries to use against me. My great grandchildren are 2 and 3 years old. Have been with me for most of their lives ,,but this year for two months they were gone with their mom and came back hard to make mind. cps says you cannot raise your voice to them, not able to slap their bottom . can't touch them. The Bible says "spare the rod and spoil the child" now that dosen't mean beat kids, but get their attention,,,no wonder kids now days are blowing up things and shooting up schools and etc. I need someone to speak with that wont turn my questions against me. My daughter is living on the streets, sure drugs are involved and no telling what else. The favorite phrase of the case worker, is"well if you are overwhelmed, I can remove the kids"

Well my grandchildren have been with me their entire life, everything accomplished with them has been torn down. I am so afraid that they will be taken from me and end up seperated in no telling where. I pray this is not a scam site and someone can pray for us.

In the last days, many shall be deceived, the enemy will be those of your own household! That would be anyone, even ones wife! It is unfortunate that in your desire to enrich yourself, you have destroyed anything that is good! Sin has a way , not unlike the tranquilizer. The booze, it infects your soul! What would it profit if a man gain the whole world and loose His soul! How difficult it is to forgive! Only the Christ, Only the Christ!

There is another "will" at work in the world. He has NO plans for salvation or healing. His Old Testament name, Lucifer; but is called Satan now. He is a created angel. Not human. He has a free will also.

He is the One the scriptures describe:

    John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

    Luke 18:20

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

In the Book of Job you will clearly see that Satan seeks to hurt people; even kill them or cause them to be killed. He's the one who causes bad things to hurt good people or children.

God is not doing it. Satan has free will just as we do.

If we follow God: Receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; He will protect us.

There is no other way to escape Satan's deceptions and false illusions. No offense, just suppose bu iif tv, satellite and internet are your God that you look to for entertainment and comfort; You are in danger. Come away and follow Jesus.

  • Signs of The End of This Age - In Reply on Hebrews 3 - 5 years ago
Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Luke 21:20 When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies (Syria, Iran, Russia, China) you will know that its desolation is near.

Luke 21:24-28 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the TIMES Of The Gentiles ARE FULFILLED

25 "There will be SIGNS in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your REDEMPTION is drawing near.

32 "Truly I tell you, THIS GENERATION will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS will never pass away.

34 "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.

35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

36 Be always on the WATCH and PRAY that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man (Jesus). Be born again now. John 3

    2 PETER

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue* as they were from the beginning of the creation.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should REPENT.

First and most importantly I want to give praise to GOD for answering prayer to restore a friendship and a softening of a coworkers heart. There has been some positive progress, although on good terms. it is not the same as before, something, the connection that once was is still missing, There is much more progress needed , there has been a start or seeming an positive step forward on being on good terms with this individual. In spite of all of this I would ask/request continued prayers. For the purpose of context..

My prayer request is for my friend..Daniel with whom I work...his carefree attitude and playfulness has made work more enjoyable.. He is a bit younger than me but seems wiser beyond his years. Anyway, I was unintentionally rude( an idiot) to him and it has caused an awkward situation. I want to apologize but it has been hard...I pray that GOD will provide the right time and moment. and the wisdom to know what to say... I do want to make it right... I would like to rekindle the friendship..so I humbly ask that GOD will reveal that to him, possibly through other coworkers( as there is a lot of gossiping where I work, and I have spoken highly of him to others quite often.) certain truths, it was never anything personal but rather just the reflection of the fact that my people skills leave much to be desired.. via dream. I also want to pray for his salvation. I can not determine if he is a christian or not. He seems to be a decent person. I pray that he will come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, if he does not already

So to summarize...Please pray for my relationship to get better with a coworker. Daniel..someone who has made the most positive impact on my life by helping me with my struggle with and to somewhat overcome SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder). Unfortunately our relationship has dissipated due to my own stupidity at times/(lack of people skills ) and it truly does break my heart that we don't have what we once did. I

When you first enter the website you will first see TWO search boxes.

Pick the top one if you want to search a subject like "water baptism" or anything else that interests you.

Use the 2nd search box to read a particular book and chapters. You will see above the website Bible these symbols: < or >, to go to the next page or to go backwards.

    Hope this helps you.

Day 16 of Bible in a year! I did it! I can now say I've read the entire book of Genesis. I believe it was in the commentary that states Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel) and Joseph are the prophets that are spoken of in revelations? Very interesting the lives of the beginning to see where we came from. It goes to show not much has changed. Some of us are good and others are bad hearted. Joseph's perspective that good came out of his brothers evil deed for the better. I/we need to have this perspective to prevail and make the world a better place.
