    When Jesus Christ explains to Phillip that if he has seen him then he has seen the Father. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. Meaning that God was in Christ. But God is not flesh and blood. God is a spirit, the Holy Ghost in which is the Comforter. Meaning that the Father, Word, and Holy Ghost are one God. Not a trinity, but there is no one beside God. As the right hand of God is God's Glory and Power. God is God alone. God is Alpha and Omega; Is Was Is. God is Almighty and is everywhere.

    I don't understand this as, 'Either Or'. Both are different: one, that we hold onto & exercise, & the other, which is in God's domain. Of predestination, it's meaning suggests that God has given each one of us a destiny to reach. In the case of Ephesians 1:5 & 11, our predestination is in respect to our inclusion into His Family & our inheritance in Christ. In the Bible the word is not used as God laying out a plan that we have to reach regardless of the choices we make (I know there are some who believe this). But we do know, that God is Omniscient & that must mean that He knows what our destiny will be & how it's reached & that our choices will conform to His Plan.

    Of our choice (or, free will), we have that ability as God's gift to us, as one of His Attributes given to us made in His Image. God doesn't control our free will - He expects that we choose & act properly, but given our fallen nature, it is inevitable that we will not do so & fail Him. So how do we bring the two (free will & predestination) together? Before we were even born, God knew all about us: our birth, our life, our death & our eternity ( Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:16). And that Knowledge of God would also include all that we, as humans, experience, choose, suffer, excel in, in life.

    His predestinating each of us, whether to be His very Own or to be outcasts, is not dependent on what He randomly allocates to each person, but on how we will respond to Him in life & particularly in our response to His Gospel. Therefore the life we choose to live & the destiny that we receive is based on our free will to choose & not on God's predetermination for us.

    One can only surmise, as God's Wisdom is beyond anything we can have. So my answer is purely based on the Scriptures I read & the Spirit's guidance.

    Genesis 1:26 tells us that "God made man in His Own Image, after His Likeness". This means that He has given us the qualities that He possesses within Himself (Truth, Compassion, Love, Forgiveness, Choice, Reasoning, etc. etc.). Adam & Eve would have possessed these qualities but when they fell into sin, those qualities became tainted & they fell short of what God intended for them & how they should live & behave.

    What if God prevented Satan from approaching Adam & Eve, so that they wouldn't be in a place of testing & possible failure? Could such an action by God be considered reasonable, given that He gave His new creation all His attributes? If He denied them this confrontation by Satan, would God have to continue to guard them & their descendants from the evil one? Or maybe, God could have just locked Satan & his followers away for good right after they sinned against Him, & prevented us from facing this aspect of sinning because of wrong choices?

    The reason I believe what prevented God from acting in the ways suggested above, is simply because He didn't want to remove any of His attributes, however marred, from within man or remove man from any wrong external influences; He expected that man, given his power of choice & with his desire to only serving His Creator, would either fulfil God's Plan perfectly, or if he should fail, that he would one day come back to a place of sorrow, repentance & restoration back to God.

    And of course, we know that God had chosen a special people to place His Love upon them & to given them His Law to direct them to Him & for their course of living. And then later, the provision of His Son for our full & eternal redemption. So it was God's Plan, that whether in sin or holy living, mankind would find full forgiveness, godly living & a restored relationship, as He desires for us.

    In chapter eight, God has revealed to me so much about myself. This summer as I was working in the yard, something seemed to come up through the bottom of my shoes clear up and out the top of my head and caused me to do an act and as I was in route to do this, I said to myself, I really don't care who sees me. This was Not me but happened through me and was so quick I just seemed to have no control. This chapter has showed me number one it was the devil and I was at such a weak point and moment in my life that the devil can move and is waiting to move on you so quickly it does pay to study and know Gods word. The next thing I knew was someone from church had seen me and as said in the comment section, "God often,for wise and holy ends,permits the efforts of satin's rage. Thus the devil hurries people to sin;hurries them to what they have resolved against,which they know will be shame and grief to them: miserable is the condition of those who are led captive by him at his will." This has and still has lead sickness to me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I'm a Christian but I've never resolved to taking the time to set aside for God and his time to come first always an excuse so busy. That is the devil and his angels wanting you to believe that. He is a liar and always will be. This chapter and what God revealed to me was I should, and with God,s devine help, I will put God and his will for me first and in doing so, God will see I have the time effectively for my other responsibilities. Just as he does in our finances when we tithe and give God his first. I'm so thankful for this lesson and what it has meant to me. Talk about needing a road map, I have when it comes to getting things in correct order for the sake of my Lord Jesus Christ. Who else can we want or need to please other than our Savior. If you are his child, what an honor to say so and tell others about. I prayed so hard last evening for forgiveness to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I hurt.

    yes there is, in fact Jesus talked more about hell than anyone else, the following is a sample of a few references that Jesus cited, but as you read through the nt from the gospels to the book of revelations you will find many more.

    Matthew 5:29 "And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

    Matthew Chapter 10:28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

    Matthew Chapter 23:33 [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

    2 Peter Chapter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

    5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

    Thank you Fred. I am indeed the firstborn, but don't know how that might be appropriate here. I do tend to be 'wordy', as through the years of sharing in Bible studies, one of the failures of adequate teaching has been receiving matter with little substance & studies without adequate background & explanation. Even in my 'short' responses here, I sometimes feel that I've not given the enquirer sufficient information on which to consider & form an opinion - but that's just me I guess. Thank you too for your valuable comments - I always look forward to hearing from you.

    If you're thinking about the present pandemic & the 'harsh' regulations imposed upon us as preventative measures for its spread, then I think of Leviticus chapter 13. This was God's direction to Israel on how to deal with leprosy, & in the midst of all the verbage in this chapter, verses 45 & 46 indicate that a leper would have to cover his mouth (i.e. wear a mask), declare himself unclean to all around (i.e. maintain separation from others = 'social distancing'), & will have to live outside the camp (i.e. be in quarantine). This was the prescribed way to remove something that was contagious from the proximity of others, so as to preserve another's life & deal with the disease or plague. If he recovered from the leprae, he was brought back into society, if not, he died a miserable & lonely death outside without loved ones (if he had any) around him.

    But if, from your question, you're thinking of the spiritual & moral depravity of mankind, then I would find in 2 Timothy 3:1-7 a very telling list of the present condition of the human heart. And please take note, that this speaks to not just those who overtly demonstrate such behaviour, but that from the root of sin, we all have that ability & sometimes, desire, to behave in such manner - whether by kings, presidents, prime ministers right down the line to the feeble, inconspicuous individual or one totally obscure in poverty. The heart of man is indeed "deceitful above else & desperately wicked", but most today shun the invitation of the Gospel to have the Blood of Christ & the Power of His Spirit transform them.

    The Books of Isaiah (& Joshua, which you enquired about) have only those verses in the chapters you mentioned. After the last verse you see, you will need to continue to read the Book in the following chapter(s). Are you asking this because you have seen more verses associated with these chapters? Unless you have manuscripts pre-12th Century, it would be impossible to get a Bible without chapters & verses.

    The scripture is directly relative to your faith. Many who are new in the faith, will not know as much as others. This is true mostly with everything we study to do. To say, which part is more applicable to you or me, would be a matter of interpretation. This is why we need to study to show thyself approved, in all things that pertain to godliness! Christ is the faith we need to understand the sign of the times! He will show you, and bring all things to remembrance that He has told you! How, I wish with todays technology, I could know that you are hearing me! Not only you but all people I speak with on the I.T.. At least Paul could send Timothy, or Silvanus to proof their faith! The media has become very sophisticated, and growing together in fellowship , we then might consul one another in these last days. I say that the word cannot have free course as a ship in the ocean! I pray that He will find a way, to make all things possible. Even the saving of mans soul!

    Please pray that God blesses my path. That he would strengthen me against sin, to live a holy life unto good works. That he would graciously give me wisdom. Grant me his spirit. Remove all spiritual forces of wickedness in my family (just me and my wife). That he would be glorified in this house. Wicked spirits would flee and not return. Wicked shows would not be watched, bibles would be open and read, and hearts would be bathed in prayer... lips filled with prayer. That understanding would come-- clear understanding that only comes from God. That nothing would be hindered by the devil. And please pry for revival for the church I attend. that God would be glorified. Christ magnified, and men and women humbled before his anger and turn towards him for his mercy. For he is a merciful God who hears the weak whisper of "Father" from the one with the tiniest of faith. Revival in family, church, salvations, anointing, and supernatural revival.

    If not, I will go back to the paper copy of my Bible, and use this site only to look up particular verses or phrases.

    The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

    He makethme to lie down in green pastures:he leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul:he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

    Yea,Though I walk through the valley of the shallow of death, I will fear no evil: for thouare with me;they rod and staff they comfort me. Thou prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runners over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the lord for ever. God is all I will ever need, yes he fight for me and comfort me when fear try to take my joy away. Trust him, glorify my God, he will not lead you a stray. God is

    I need prayer against Satan and his demons, that seem to be attacking me. Most will say I am just paranoid and or I have a mental illness or something but I disagree. Not sure if anyone believes in EMF attacks, and since Satan is the prince of the air, But I believe through 5g and wireless towers Satan and his minions, are using that to attack me and or other people. OK, so I hear voices and music and lots of weird satanic singing around me. it invades my left side for that's my bad ear. I do not believe that I'm possessed, for I do have the Holy Ghost or spirit. EMF is an Electrical Magnetic force?

    WHich from my research can produce voices directed at the brain or something, but I believe 5g and our other modern technologies are producing. But Satan is the prince of the air who is utilizing this to attack God's people in these end times. What I hear is as the bible says he is the accuser of the Brethern. This started about 2 months ago and it's becoming unbearable. The only thing I do to get some relief from hearing all this is to read scripture day and night. Which is a good thing but still.

    So, please pray in agreement for Jesus to bless my mind and the air around me? To have him send his holy host around my air and space I occupy and drive out these demons of the air.

    Even if you don't believe in what I say please pray anyhow's I know others are being invaded this way as well.

    Thank you.

    I agree for myself to start this and pray that I get more in agreement thank you.
