Watchman Nee's book The Spiritual Man is helping me tremendously

come out of my shell and be in this world IN CHRIST.... I was kept

hidden away, or kept myself hidden away, too long afraid of the world.

All this time, too, I know I was being prepared, so I didn't waste my cave-time.

"What if they hate me?" hahaha! Remember they hated Me before they hated

you. I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me through the 8th grade rough-housers I work with,

who were egging themselves on about the newest outrageous ski-jump they're planning:

    "Bro, Send it."

Speak Lord, your servant is listening.

hahaha..... now I get it.... I just needed a bit of clarification. Also, thanks for

shooting straight and pinning all false piety do-goodism to the target. I took bow

and arrow lessons last summer, I love shooting those things! I like the idea of

shooting on a horse.... like a Mongolian warrior.... in Christ! You know, as a lady,

I am not permitted by Christian culture to say "F off." But let me tell you, I say it

in private to sneaky devils who try to take advantage of me. I am dead to culture,

and culture is dead to me. At one point I thought, "Maybe I am not a Christian?"

because how I lived and thought was so far off from so many people who go by

Christian. I would be cast out of the temple. Hmmm. I would be in good company.

I will re-read your earlier post. I hope you keep writing in.

And now go listen to Bob Dylan's Infidels. Poet prophet.

Comments by Alex about y Jesus breathe on his disciples simply b/c his breath was his Word even in the natural our breath is our Words but with Jesus his breath was his Seed the living word as my Words are Spirit as God is Spirit ,He was propagating very God with his good seed ,they were impregnated by his Good Seed ( his words ) ,Thats y he said b/c i have spoken these words SORROWS have filled your hearts, a Woman when she is in travail has Sorrows b/c her hour is come ,Sorrows imply a spritual pregnancy . The Child didn't come till some 50 days later at Pentecost the Child was the H.G. Which was the Child of Promise, That which is born of the SPIRIT IS SPIRIT th H.G. Behold i send the Promise of my Father upon you which was baptism of the H.G. WHICH IS THAT NEW INNERMAN that has to be born in US THE PROMISE ,That new birth my lil Children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you which is the H.G. The Kingdom , That new heart and new spirit the Promise, the multiplication of Christ via his seed His BREATH was his words his seeds . Thats y Isaiah calls Jesus everlasting FATHER He is the Father of the H.G. Simply b/c the H.G. has to be born in us via his seed his breath as the H.G.is the Child of Promise and that great promise was multiplication of Christ SEED, HIS BREATH HIS WORDS. There is a baby Christ in our near future. When Isaiah saw the Kingdom coming as our new govt. He says unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. When they asked Jesus about the sign of his coming and the end of this world he replied SORROWS (CHILD BIRTH ) After the woman gives birth John says now is come Salvation and the Kingdom of God and the power his Christ ( the Child ). Unless ya receive the KINGDOM OF GOD as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in impling a heavenly birth.

Roy, this comment very much inspires me, as I desire to

be able to fast, I feel literally called to it, but I have been resisting.

I hope you or anyone else reading this will pray for me? There seems

to be a deep fear in me of fasting, and a deep attachment to food

which the Lord has, up until now, "gone easy on me." But he is

calling us on to be cleansed of all enslavement to the body and food

like this, for sure.... I have many books on fasting, so I don't need

any more knowledge.... I need power to do it. (Holy Spirit.)

have tried intermittent fasting, but as I've said, there is internal

barrier holding me back. I feel very strongly called to "fast and pray."

Pray for the nations. Pray for the salvation of others....

I do weights at home, 4 times a week during my training periods.

I also do not eat meat or dairy but that is just me. I eat a plant based

    diet.

I think that there was so much spiritual pride in me early on,

that the Lord led me in the opposite direction of anything that

would feed my spiritual lust..... He has broken me time and again!

but things are changing these days, and it could be that I am more

ready, knowing more deeply that I am truly nothing apart from God.

Thanks for sharing, I heard the Lord in it speaking to me!

What a marvellous post, (I am assuming Mishael?) It really made me smile. Closeness with the Holy Spirit is my whole life, so I could really relate. (I love the thought of you singing with him in your prayer closet! I also love how you wait and listen for revealed mysteries, me too! By the way, I would really like to hear more of your testimony. I have always felt that God's closest friends will pass through hell with Him, do much spiritual warfare, and go through everything the Lord went through.... as they grow in spirit.... so early on the enemy tried to pin you down with his minions, but what anointing was on your soul! ) When I run in the morning, that is when I meet Him most. I hear the most amazing things. I start out running like a tired old woman, but by the end of the run I feel like a Nordic champion! haha.. (I am Norwegian American.) Most of my early walk with the Lord I tried to be selfless. I cut my hair off all short, purposely gained weight to be unattractive, ate things I hated, thinking this was taking up my cross. All self-driven. But to great surprise, He seemed to want the opposite. Because in His presence I felt beautiful. When he called me, "little one" or "beloved" I felt my vastness, like an ocean! Holding up the ocean liners of the world... And here I was trying to perfect my little tugboat. I can't get enough of nearness to Him, so thank you for your post, which lifted my the spirit right up.

oh and isn't that just like Him. In our desperation we purposely press those nails in, and he disarms us with his mercy....

Interesting Jesse, after I posted my comment to Amy, yours appeared. Some time ago I had read about the difference in the numbers of people killed & even posted a similar answer to that question at that time. So, at least my memory seems to be holding up, though my wife believes that there are many things she tells me that I don't remember. That's perplexing.

Yet, it's added joy to our hearts when others are moved to share responses with similar content. It gives further confirmation to the enquirer & special unity of mind & spirit to the responders. Thank you for what you shared also, brother.

I read Watchman Nee's book: the spiritual man, over a summer. That's when I learned how the flesh wars against the soul and spirit. I know people (dislike) tv preachers.. but as a baby christian being choked, held down, eyes pinned by demons; I had need to learn The Authority of Jesus Christ in the believer, ASAP. I learned fast and yes those demons got cast into dry places in outer darkness; never to return! I should write it on this website.

Don't ever feel like your testimony is not valuable to the Lord. Who is also the "Lord of the Harvest." He may need your testimony someday. You need to give it to Him.

I have other friends like you who lift me up just being around them. We need you in the Body of Christ. There are spiritual gifts to be given to you. I think first, a person has to fall in love with the Holy Sprit. He's so precious to Jesus, He forbids us to blaspheme him, or say that his gifts are evil. I was smitten head to toe that first week. "Someone" was telling me what to do those first months. He has saved my life many times. I sit in the closet under the clothes and pray and try to sing unlike a frog. I wait and wait hoping he'll tell me a truth or reveal a mystery I'll chase through the Bible till I find it. One time I was in the closet and I think my angel sang "I walk the Line" by Johnny Cash!! I didn't know it was a gospel tune. I don't think I can describe the closeness we can have with the Holy Spirit.

I had a vision of me after I was saved. People told me, that people like me couldn't possibly get saved because I was bad. I wanted love but I chose to believe their jests and jokes. It broke my heart and I decided I could make Jesus hate me too. "I saw Jesus on his back nailed to the cross. He was looking at me. He said I love you. I used a rock to drive the nails deeper. He kept saying I love you. Finally I dropped the rock and his arms held me."

Love never fails. Be happy. We need you.

    Mishael,

The ark was put in Jeremiah's care. He did go to Ethiopia for matchmaking David's throne with 2 young royals from each line of Judah (Pharez & Zarah). Remember God's promise to David that he would never lack a man to sit on his throne. At this point, 604 BC Babylonian rule, only 1 king remained alive in Judah, so Jeremiah traveled to the British isles to set up David's throne.

Google "Jacobs Pillar stone". You will see it clear as day. It is the coronation stone kings have been consecrated upon for centuries. Jeremiah brought this stone from Israel, the same stone that brought forth water in Egypt. Christ has an active throne to return to, that endured forever, per prophesy.

Ask yourself what would the ark of the Covenant be doing in Ethiopia, if not cover for it's true resting place in London, England.

    OSEAS,

I apologize for misstating, but you should have noticed it was an exaggerated example I was providing. I have heard many times people say the US isn't in the Bible, so it can't be Mystery Babylon.

Thanks for outlining your end-time vision. You repeated and placed a lot of scripture, and structurally, I can't follow what you are saying. It's too jammed up and generic: you could have written that 1,000 years ago. Name names.

Since we are as you say, a few years away from conflict, can you identify every nation involved in your vision? Who's on what side, beast/Babylon armies? You also have 2 antichrist's serving 3 year terms each?

This is a radical departure from my end-time concept. How many people are you aware of that subscribe to this end-time theology? Can you please answer my questions?

    Lauren,

I'm doing none of that troublesome stuff you proposed. It was a cryptic post dedicated to all the cryptic Bible scriptures I pondered over. That's my sense of humor. Did you know Bob Dylan spoke in parables in "Infidels", well he did. I figure people aren't going to understand me anyway, so let 'em be really confused by mingled and strained truth. I embellish the ordinary, like Jimmy Swaggart, with tears streaming down his face. Saying in his crybaby voice: "I have sinned against you, Lord. I have fallen from my lofty perch." Hahaha ( Ezekiel 34)

It's analogous to how I generalize the human condition, and not delivered in a self-pitying, groveling, I need help way. Kinda funny how I tell my bad memories to F off. Others wear a veil, while I celebrate the painful absurdities of life head on, the double-crosses, and say 'what's next?' If I had an aggressive form of cancer, I'd find a way to phrase it to make you envious of me, knowing your suffering continues. Eric Clapton said "one day the bottom will drop out", but I think it's the sky that will drop out.

Jesse, believe it or not, that's the first time I ever said that to someone.

Someone had just sorta rebuked me for mentioning dogs. I was hungry, tired and just wanted to go... and my flesh ruined a perfectly good day.

Thanks for the teaching tho' cause I really didn't know what it meant.

I had the JW's come by my door. I would nicely disagree when they wanted to read the brochure to me, and I worked my testimony in other times. It went on a few months. I knew they thought they had me straddling the middle. I had to say my decision for Jesus was firm. Then I said after the Rapture they could still receive Jesus as their Savior...they might die for it, but at least they'd be received into heaven. They're very sweet, but very much blinded as are some Jews in Israel.

My sweet tea and corn muffins failed.

    Thank you, Dear Friend

    Lauren,

Amen! It's going through the trials that teach us to trust Christ. You also touched on something that I also believe is the truth. You said, and I quote you, "And I IN HIM! I am seated in the heavenly places WITH HIM....... Wow!"

Do you realize that's where we are now? Jesus Christ is in us and we are in Him. Where is He? He is seated at God's right hand. So where are we if we are in Him and He is in us? We just haven't come to the complete realization of it yet since we are in this human body!

Please know that I am not trying to sound mystical by any means. It's just something to think about. I am enjoying reading your posts!

    Phyllis,

Our English bibles tell us in John 20:22, "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"

But the literal translation of Verse 22 from the Greek text for the term "He breathed on them," it says literally "He breathed in." That is it! "He breathed in and said to them." What does that mean that He breathed in?

Some people point out the fact that the word for breathe is found in two places in the Old Testament, one is in Genesis 2:7, where the Lord literally breathed into the face of Adam and he became a living soul. And then in Ezekiel 37:9, where he tells Ezekiel to go out and prophecy, and the wind comes and blows on the dead bones and they become alive.

But the difference between this instance in John 20:22 and the two places I just mentioned is that in the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, in Genesis 2:7 and Ezekiel 37:9 it has what is called the preposition EIS with the accusative.

It says God breathed into Adam. The wind and breath of God breathed into the dead bones. There is no prepositional phrase here in John 20:22. It is just the word breathed in.

God breathed in, He took a breath inward, and He said Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

But notice that it does not say that they received the Holy Spirit, because this text is where many get the "two experiences" where here they were saved, and in Acts Chapter 2, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a "second experience" that every Christian needs. The problem here is that Jesus gave them the command, receive the Holy Ghost. It doesn't say they received Him!

    George,

The word fornication comes from the word PORNEIA which means any form of sexual immorality. It's also where we get our English word pornography from. A hug or a kiss in itself does not constitute sexual immorality. But there are other things to keep in mind. There are other ways to look at it depending on who you are hugging and kissing. For instance, if a married man is seen someplace hugging and kissing another woman, even though that would not be considered fornication (sexual immorality), it would give the appearance of evil, which we are to avoid. Even if you are a single believer, hugging and kissing could cause other believers to think more could be taking place "behind the scenes." Again, we are told not to even give the appearance of evil, even though a "hug" or a "kiss in itself may not be evil.

    Lauren,

Start off fasting for 24-48 hrs. Embrace hunger like Christ. It is healthy for your digestive system to rest, and not eat most waking hours. The benefits appear quickly down to the cellular level. I do intermittent fasting, eating in an 8 hr window. I love not having to eat breakfast, or being a slave to food.

If you also have weight lifting in your life, 3-4x/week, then you got it going on. I climb a mountain (Loma ridge) in my back yard, to the top, but am a gym rat at heart.

    Hello Mishael,

If I may share with you what I've learned about the phrase "God Speed." It is only used in Second John verses 10-11 as far as I know. Now in second John, it talks about deceivers and false teachers that were corrupting the church.

It says in Verse 9 that whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God, Does not have God! A person is called a transgressor that's going beyond. The Gnostics went beyond the teachings of Jesus Christ, or the doctrine of Christ.

And they went beyond the teachings of the apostles. They did not remain in the doctrine of Christ, but they went in another direction. And John says they do not have God. And then it says "He that abides, and that's a Present Participle, meaning the one who is abiding continuously in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son. Uh oh! The Gnostics don't believe the Father and the Son go together, or as one. Here we go again!

But as far as this phrase "God Speed," it means do not speak greetings. If someone comes knocking on your door trying to share the "gospel" with you, and you know it is false, you are not to let them in your home.

Verse 11 gives us the reason. It says, "For he that bids him God speed, or greetings, is partaker of his evil deeds." That sounds pretty harsh and we might ask how is that showing love? But if love is not associated with the truth, it is not God's love, and we're deceiving ourselves.

So if someone comes to my door and is bringing false doctrine, I can't even say "Good luck." I can't even say "Greetings anyway." Some people would do that and say I can't let you in my house because of your false doctrine, and they feel really bad about it, and they at least say "God bless you today as you go on your journey!

John says even if you say that, you are a partaker of their evil work. The word partaker is the word KOINONIA which means fellowship. You're fellowshiping with their evil works. Now that's pretty heavy!

Hello Amy. In 1 Corinthians chapter 10 & particularly verses 1 to 12, Paul is warning the Corinthians about their behaviour, using the examples set before them in the Scriptures about God's view on sin & punishment. As the children of Israel suffered under God's Hand in the wilderness, or as they were about to be wiped out at the foot of Mt. Sinai (except for the pleading of Moses to God), or when they committed whoredoms & sacrificed to idols in Moab, & also complained & murmured against God & Moses in the wilderness, all these accounts were reminders to the Church about their bad behaviour.

So, the people mentioned in 1 Corinthians 10:8 were the children of Israel who practised fornication & idolatry under the influence of the gentile pagans ( Numbers 25:1-9). The 23 thousand as quoted by Paul, was actually 24 thousand (in Numbers) as Numbers records the extra thousand killed by the judges (verse 5). The 23 thousand died of the plague that God sent (verses 3 & 6: the weeping of repentance & for the plague that they were suffering).

Therefore, Paul's message & warnings were not about Christians suffering under the Law (for the OT Law has no application to believers in Christ), but about setting examples that we are to learn from as God still doesn't overlook sin because of Calvary. Christ's Sacrifice made atonement for our sins (to satisfy God's Holy requirements & be the basis to forgive sin & to grant us forgiveness & purge our evil consciences), but is never a licence to sin. The Corinthians still had elements of licentious behaviour, as was the society & city they lived in, & Paul had to be very stern with them. And the example to them at the Lord's Table becomes relevant to them & us: 1 Corinthians 11:30, "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep"; when we wilfully sin, we can expect warning & punishment. Sometimes (not always), our sicknesses & intimely deaths may be God's message to the Church that all is not well. Every blessing.

    Amy

That's from Numbers Chapter 25 Verses 1 and 9. The Moabites sent out the women to seduce the Israelites to cause them to sin. And when they sinned, 23,000 were slain.

It's interesting because if you look at Numbers 25:9, it says twenty-four thousand died in the plague, but in 1 Corinthians 10:8, Paul says twenty-three thousand. If you have access to some commentaries, there are some explanations on the number difference. The two I looked at, (Barnes and Clarke) were interesting.

Anyway, where it says "as some of them committed" in 1 Corinthians 10:8, it is referring to those people in Numbers chapter 25 who were involved in Baal worship.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 10, if you start at Verse 6, Paul is saying that if we study about how God dealt with the children of Israel through their physical circumstances, we can gain a spiritual example for us. It says to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Literally in the Greek text, it's not a verb. It's actually a noun, "To the intent that we should not become lusters of evil things as they also lusted."

And then Paul lists four things that are characteristics of the lusters: Do not be an idolater, do not commit fornication, do not tempt Christ, and do not murmur. Now that last one is interesting. That's the word complain. And since none of us ever do any of that, we don't have to worry about it, right?

Neither murmur as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer. That phrase "the destroyer" at the end of Verse 10 is the same word for the angel of death that passed over Egypt and killed the firstborn of the Egyptians. So he says don't complain!

You see, every time we complain about anything, we're saying that God's will and what he's doing is wrong. He's in charge of everything. So I'm complaining against Him because that's the way He has it. We have to be careful!

    Hope this helps you some!
