I hope you find cheer in the LORD's promises:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ( Psalm 27:1) - Recommend to read the whole psalm.

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. ( Psalm 147:11)

If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. ( John 14:15-18)

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. ( John 15:18-19)

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. ( 2 Timothy 2:19)

That's a good question because without faith it is impossible to please God it says in The book of Hebrews.

Remember Stephen was said to be full of faith , and the Holy Spirit and performed many miracles .

Christ dwells in our heart by faith as well , so the strength of our faith effects how well we experience his presence .

Remember Jesus said to his disciples they where of little faith for not trusting God for all their needs ?

Jesus said trial of your faith is more precious than fine gold .

So faith can be little to full and if healthy it should be growing .

Faith comes from hearing and understanding the word of God in the heart . Practice is experience that makes it stronger .

Little faith is much better than no faith , it just needs to be used and nurtured , tested , it will get stronger . So take heart. Few are ever full in faith , I have never met anyone that was full of faith like Apostle Peter for example.

Little faith certainly is something to work with and can grow.

Kathy, the Proverbs are generally individual words of wisdom or proverbial truths, but sometimes we see some connections, as in Proverbs 16:2,3.

Verse 2: man's perception of himself & his actions will be deemed as correct & honourable but the Lord does not see as man does, for God weighs (or, takes into account, measures) the inner thoughts or motives of man.

In contrast we see in verse 3: when that man does not justify his actions by his own reckoning (v2) rather commits his works (his deeds, plans, designs) to the Lord, then even his thoughts (what man plans to do further as a result of first looking to the Lord) will be confirmed & established by the Lord.

The Truth here is that when the child of God first seeks the Lord, committing his actions to Him, then he can trust the Lord to bring it to pass even when he feels that he may be doing things from his own mind. The act of calling upon the Lord & trusting Him to work on one's behalf will mean that the Lord will also lead him throughout that endeavour.

Some associated Scriptures that give weight to this Truth are in: Psalm 37:4,5; Proverbs 3:5,6; Luke 12:30,31.

Scriptures regarding our thoughts: Romans 12:2; Philippians 4:8.

    Matthew 13

The parable of the sower is something every truth seek should put a lot of study into .

4 types of ground that the seed or word of God is planted in .

A few things I pondered over the years about this is .

The condition of the heart effects the soil . Proverbs says out of the heart are the issues of life and to watch over our heart . God looks upon are hearts , we believe with the heart , etc

The 4th that was good ground had good soil or a good heart , it's the only one of the 4 that understood.

The other 3 did not understand fully , they varied in understanding to their demise .

Take heed how you hear the word of God .

30:19 great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds.Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind;you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve

I find myself baffled by this verse...My heart and soul tell me that this is contradictory to the core of Christianity.

If God my King "rewarded" us according to our conduct and deeds. We would all be Sodom. Lost to any hope of eternal life. The gates of pearl would be locked against us.

Our eternal reward would be death.

Because the wage of sin is death!

Jesus' died so that we could have life and life eternal. If we believe that good deeds and conduct can earn us rewards in this life or the next then we devalue the sacrifice that is and was Christ Jesus!

I was in the Prayer request room, praying with someone who was terrified her mother would get, or already had COVID. Very high state of anxiety. I like praying with people, so don't pay any attention to those comments.

I don't know why this website doesn't fix it so prayers aren't published all over the planet. :/

Evil spirits do not have bodies of flesh , but the can possess people and animals ,

The sons of God here in Genesis, are Gods people at that time , if you will notice be fore that time men began to call on the Lord , these are the sons of God ...

The Oxford dictionary has one definition of commit as "1. to hand over, as for safekeeping charge entrust: to commit a child to the care of its aunt. " That definition sounds more like what our Lord wants - us to hand over our plans or work for safekeeping - and to entrust Him for the outcome. It 's more Fatherly. When I saw this definition, I wanted to commit my plans to Him because I know they are in good hands. I now like the word instead of rebelling against it - I felt it was more like restricting freedom before.

  • LuciferSatan Evil AngelsDemons - In Reply on Ezra 10:3 - 5 years ago
They were the 1/3 angels who were hurled to earth with Lucifer. (Word study: Lucifer)

They had flesh bodies, but were evil inside.

We pick them up in the story of Noah. He was told by God to build the Ark. The evil angels (sometimes called "inhabitants") were in town. The whole time Noah was building the Ark, he preached and explained what he was doing. They laughed at him.

The ark was done and only Noah and his family were saved. Since the evil angels had bodies (air breathing), they and all the inhabitants drowned. They were now evil spirits with no bodies. I believe that's when the evil angels became demons. All of the human women and their 1/2 & 1/2 children had died. The demons began to search for some kind of body (animal or human) to get inside of, and live. It's still going on today. The GOSPELS show us that many with demon spirits were brought to Jesus and he cast them out: he'd say, "Leave Him."

?Demon possessed people could bear children with a humans. I think that's why there were giants in King David's time. (Goliath). He had battles with them.

I don't know the physiological way it happened. We just know there were giants because of Goliath, and archaeological remains. Lucifers name was changed to Satan after he caused Adam & Eves fall from Grace.

Demons are still around. The only way to escape them is to born again and spirit filled With The Holy Spirit. That's why I tell people to get rid of anything a demon would consider an IDOL. Idols are doorways or portals. If your computer has porn on it; the demons know it too. Only the holy blood of Jesus Christ can protect us.

That beloved, is why Jesus gave us, Ephesians 6. Demons are invisible. See some spiritual warfare videos on YouTube.

Ask God if you can have angels to protect your family, and belongings. Be wise as a serpent, but mild as a dove. Angels serve only God: not you. The closer you are to God; the more Bible inside of you: the less trauma you'll have.

Do you hear the trumpets yet? Soon the sky will open up as a scroll to see Jesus with the other angels on horseback coming down thru the clouds to fight for us. This evil world will meet the maker of His children. As a rush of wind asending high above. The Heavens will shine so strong-- it will move mountains as the quakes shiver as our evil world will suddenly be destroyed. The power of His Light will finally show us because we kept the Faith we have won the victory!!!
  • Be Careful Handling Scriptures on Psalms 23 - 5 years ago
Oh...so maybe we should rewrite the Book of Revelation and DELETE that scripture? So you can satisfy your desire to be right.

    Revelation 22:18-19

    18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

    19. And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the BOOK OF LIFE, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Comment by Mishael: if people would READ the Book of Revelation,

They might not post comments that are NOT word for word, what is stated in the Bible. (Word of God)

One scripture does not cancel out other scriptures.

    2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The phrase "little faith" is meaning trusting too little or lacking confidence in Christ.

The mustard seed is little in stature, but the germ of faith within is enough to accomplish great things.

Great faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ.

KJV English can be a little tricky. In this instance:

    hast = has

    art = are

If the action is opposite, the word NOT would be added after:

    hast not = hasn't

    art not = aren't

I had never seen this website before. It has some really great ideas on being ready to search for a Christian woman to share your life with. Here's a a tiny portion:

" 1) Pursue the Lord with all of your heart

This might seem contrary to the objective, but it is actually primary in reaching it. Before a man finds a godly woman, he first finds the living God. He begins to long to glorify Jesus Christ with his life and sees Christ as infinitely valuable and worth all of his time and energy ( 1 Corinthians 10:31). A godly woman will not settle for anything less! She wants a man that could be a spiritual leader for her, a man that she can respect ( 1 Peter 3:1). So be a man after God's own heart and don't look back!"

You might google CBMW dot org to read the rest of it.

I agree with you in prayer for a companion and wife. 1 Corinthians 7 shows us that marriage is a good thing. The story of Isaac and Rebekah's courtship (Genesis) will give you joy. Blessings on your future marriage.

God abhors homosexuality...He also abhors fornication, when Moses came down from Mt Sinai one time having conversed with God, God struck 23,000 fornicators dead on the spot...We serve a Holy God, we must remember what Holy means...the world does not know the meaning of Holy...they choose not too for then they would have to commit to some type of cleanliness...which turns their stomachs as homosexuality turns ours...

i want to use this verse Proverbs 16:3 ' Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established' to assure me that my thoughts are kept appropriate, not so much that my human 'plans' will work out, but that the thoughts in my head will be pleasing to God, and come from God, and not primarily from my 'human' mind.

Any help with that, do you see that in this verse? What other verse(s) should i look at to be sure my thoughts are in line with His?

How do you understand the use of the word 'established' related to our thoughts?

They recently, 2018, found one of thiese giants that had wiped out a platoon of Texas Rangers, I believe, and sent another platoon in to find out what happened, this was in Afghanistan...his bones were so strong that standard longrifles could not penetrate to get into the vital organs to kill it...it was arilifted back to an army base there and never seen again...the worlds way of covering up anything that leads to Scripture and there being a God of creation...It is very difficult in today's world to try and find real truth about anything...I was born and raised Catholic, read the KJV Bible at 23, found out many lies the Catholic church printed and the same with the Protestant church...that is why I depend on the baptism in the Holy Spirit at age 23 to test truth...Bottom Line...Christ is the only way to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...confession of Him and believing that God raised Him is salvation...living the cleanest life we can live, but knowing our sins, all our sins can be forgiven just by asking and trusting in the healing power of His Blood...

  • Adam - In Reply on Acts 13 - 5 years ago
No, there's plenty of Bible verses supporting that Jesus is God and part of a trinity. Here's a list: Link

Your thoughts require complexity and mental gymnastics to arrive to your conclusion, whereas I'm just reading it literally like a child can do and arrive at its natural meaning. So, we already know what the Bible says and the real question is whether you believe in the Bible as God's inspired Word? And if you don't 100% believe it, why not? And what is behind this doubt, satan? Why not just pray to God and ask Him to discover and confirm the truth?

    God bless...

Wesley Barnard, I disagree about the Word of God not being God. God IS the word of Him. HE wrote the Bible, and we should NOT say bad things about it. I love the Lord, and don't say bad things about the Bible or God. Think about it, SERIOUSLY.
