Romans 10:17 - So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Proverbs Chapter 3
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
James Chapter 1
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Exodus 20
Deuteronomy 5
The Laws are found in the book of Leviticus.
The blood sacrifice ordinances were fulfilled in Jesus Christ when he sacrificed himself for one and all time to give us eternal life if we believe on him, repent of our sins and serve him obediently.
Jesus Christ will judge the world according to the statutes of the law:
( Matthew 5:17-19) words from Jesus:
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.
Romans 14:12 - So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
1 John Chapter 2
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 Corinthians 15
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Some would use that verse against those today who have taken up the 'fashion' of tattooing & piercings, though it wasn't the intention of that command from God as in those days it would have been done for recognition of "the dead" & other occultic purposes (verses 26 & 31). So, whether God looks at the present day markings as sin, only God can declare that.
However, other issues come into play here for the Christian: as you said, we are no longer our own but now the purchased of God & Temples of the Holy Spirit. As well, whenever we do things, such as these, the clothes we wear, the places we visit, the people we associate with, what we fill our minds with & many more, are matters that every child of God has to seriously consider as we live on this Earth & bear witness to His Name. If the believer is walking in the Spirit, he/she would soon know in his/her spirit, how he/she should live before God & others. Personally, I find it difficult to believe that a Christian could honestly justify tattoos & piercings as of little godly consequence & consider it a thing of beauty before the Lord. It smacks of vanity & desiring to be identified with the crowd. We are to identify ourselves with our Saviour & to walk carefully & humbly before our God ( Ephesians 4:17).
John 3:5-8: "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
In this passage, Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader, who approached Jesus to have a chat. He came discreetly at night to Jesus to avoid the possible gossip amongst his peers about this encounter. He also came with a great confirmation: "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." Jesus could have replied & told him what he probably wanted to hear, "Nicodemus you have correctly spoken about Me so God accepts you", but I believe that Jesus, as He usually did, looked at his heart & motive, when he answered him with verses 5-8 (above).
Jesus could see that Nicodemus wanted Him, as a Rabbi (Teacher) to congratulate him & confirm His goodness, yet Jesus told him that a spiritual re-birth was necessary before you can be congratulated & confirmed by God. We are born once into the world & die & suffer coming judgement. But those who are born again, not by a natural birth, but a spiritual birth, will not die spiritually & not come under condemnation & judgement ( Romans 8:1).
But if this is not the answer you're looking for, then if you could please explain further your question "by not knowing people born with the Spirit"?
If you've hurt someone or committed some sin against that person, first confess your sin to God & receive His forgiveness through His Son Jesus Christ - then go to the one whom you've wronged & confess your error & make restitution if necessary to prove your sorrow.
If you've broken a law & you know that the authorities are after you for the crime, then the right thing to do is to present yourself to them as one admitting to it in a sorrowful manner.
In all these things, one has to humble oneself, admit to the error & seek forgiveness & make restitution. These are the steps towards being honest, humble & receiving peace in your soul about the matter. We all make errors in our lives - God does forgive us readily, but the hardest thing is for us to admit the error & act in humility, which in the natural man, goes against our pride & self justification.
Can you help ?? To explain what he means by not knowing people born with the Spirit ???
This verse is so today !
Anywhere you find the scriptures you find evil workers waiting to deceive!
Trust only the word of God , not men's interpretations of the word of God . That's why God gave us the Bible .
If a person actually understands it's because they have been taught by God s Holy Spirit, very rare these days . Every one has his version and does that what seems right to them . All unrighteousness. There is no private interpretation of scriptures. Seek the truth and be from errors like the Trinity godhead , and the rapture doctrines , together they are very potent and effective to rob people of faith and Gods blessings , the spirit of Antichrist is real and has its victims that prefer sin over obedience.
Read your Bible prayerfully don't take my word for it discover for your self . Beware of the deceivers !
Or, women went to un-wed mothers homes to give birth and release the baby to be adopted.
Enter the 60's and free, unrestrained sexual sin. It was like living amongst rabbits on LSD. Grandparents had to raise their grandchildren.
A decade later, abortion was legalized and the unwed mothers homes disappeared.
Homosexuals came out of the closet
Another decade, AIDS appeared and was declared a pandemic by the CDC, but didn't do anything about it.
Following decade lesbians decided to live reckless and large too.
2000's, they all want to be families with children.
Now, they all demand to live married and force society to accept their standards in public schools.
I've seen all this happen. Christians need to hang out in their state legislatures and scream for CHOICE to put their children in Christian schools!!
We have to live here until Jesus comes to get us. It's up to us to protect our rights too. I'm even favorable to home schooling.
Our kids can grow up more intelligent because they will not be slammed in their emotional life with the loose morals of an evil generation that has Declared WAR on children (all ages).
Now the sex traffickers are kidnapping Christian children and teens. How many will just disappear on Halloween this weekend? Will we even see those stories on evening news?
We are to GO YE to the world in our cities; our neighborhoods. Take the gospel to them. Don't let the world preach "their gospel of death, despair and sexual depravity, into our homes.
We have to teach the Bible to our kids age 3 and up. There is no reason to let them watch secular tv as a babysitter! Drop Netflix and get PureFlix !!!
Stop Compromising! Half Christian and half ?? We spend big bucks on MEDIA. It's the gospel of SATAN. Why are we so weak?
Be strong. Get wisdom. Be fearless.
Thank you heartily for a very mature response which shows some spiritual common sense. It is not something seen very often on these kinds of discussion forums. It is like a breath of fresh-air; and I appreciate your time and effort to type it up.
Love in the Lord of all, Jesus Christ
Thanks you once more for you reply. Let us leave it there for now as I digest what has been offered to me.
Peace and love in Christ to you and the children of God where you are.
God Bless
