Chris, The Enoch Solar Priestly Calendar

As far as calendars go, I have been involved for the last few years with trying to follow the Enoch calendar as presented in the books of Enoch from the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS).

I will try not to get into too much information, but I find it to be very interesting.

The recurrent theme that is most striking throughout all of the DSS is the SOLAR CALENDAR!

Look at the first book of Enoch, in ch. 72, and in ch. 82 (column 27) are words concerning an ancient solar calendar.

It is stated that Enoch brought the calendar from heaven, claiming a very ancient origin to it, learning it from the angels. Enoch spent many years in heaven learning the 364 day solar priestly calendar and spent one year on earth teaching it to his son Methuselah, who taught it to his son, and so on. In the time of Abraham, Melchezadok was the one that brought the calendar back up to heaven?

The Book of Enoch describes how the Holy place has 2 dimensions, heavenly and earthly. There are 7 heavenly sanctuaries corresponding to the 1 earthly Mount Zion, one Temple, and one chariot of the cherubim. In heaven there are 7 firmaments, 7 sanctuaries, 7 temples, and 7 chariots of the cherubim.

In the Book, Angels are called Priests of Sacrifices; not sacrificing animals, but incense and liturgy. The order of the sacrificial liturgy corresponds to the order of the sacrifice in the Temple; i.e.- songs of the Sabbath liturgy. Angels are taking care of proper sacrifice for what is not being properly sacrificed on earth.

In the extra Psalms found in the DSS, it is said that David authored 364 songs for each day of the year. David authored 52 songs for each Sabbath of the year. David authored 18 songs for each of the holy days of the year.

Book of Jubilees- Noah stayed in the Ark for 364 days.

    Chris,

    Page 2

e / f / g) Again, I agree with you that Christ came to fulfill the Law.

However, I believe that the "Law" was the blood (and certain ceremonial) "ordinances" Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:20, that His blood on the cross made acceptable "once for all" Hebrews 10:10. As Matthew 5:18 states; "till ALL be fulfilled."

ALL has not been fulfilled yet. The rest of the Law stands.

I try my best to follow the Law. However I look at Romans 3:28 and Romans 7:5-6 in this way:

What sets us apart from the Law is our ability to be forgiven (no longer through blood sacrifice by a priest on an altar) but through Jesus. Forgiveness has to do with sin. I don't need forgiveness if I have not sinned. Sin has to do with BREAKING THE LAW. Forgiveness is what leads to redemption, and EVERYONE needs forgiveness EVERYDAY. When we sin we put ourselves under the Law; I don't see how we can't.

The following of the LAW and the doing of good WORKS will lead us straight into the GRACE of God and His only Begotten.

I will send you the Enoch calendar info. on another page

    Chris,

    Great feedback as always:

A foundational aspect which I find myself defending (as the minority position) is the debate between Law vs. Grace as well as Works vs. Grace.

I find myself in the position of believing that we are in need of the Law. We are also in need of Works. And most of all, we are in need of the Grace given to us through faith in Jesus Christ.

I will give my opinion based upon your alphabetic structure

    a) I believe that we are ALL "God's "elect,"

Israel is "elect" for all the reasons you mention.

Christians are "elect" because Scripture says so ( Colossians 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 1:4).

    b) I agree, and will add that God NEVER intended or believed Israel could fulfill the Law. The Law was given to Israel (and all who cared to follow) for proper ceremonial worship, and for guidance, and for correction.

    c) I agree and will add that Jesus not only fulfilled the Law perfectly as a Jew, but also as a man.

    d) While I can (partially) agree with you that Christ came to fulfill the Law (of ordinances, i.e. blood sacrifice, not the entire Law), I believe that the MAIN REASON Jesus was promised by God to all of mankind can be found all the way back in Genesis 3:15. At that particular point in time, Adam and Eve were the only two people on the planet to have partaken in sin.

God knew that Israel would backslide. That is why the Savior was promised right from the beginning of the fall of man, thousands of years before the nation of Israel ever existed.

The promise of Genesis 3:15, however, has to do with the DEATH of Jesus, and the result of His crucifixion can be found in Hebrews 2:14.

"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"

That is the PRIMARY reason Jesus was promised, and is the (partial) fulfillment of that promise of Genesis 3:15; partial because Satan is not dead yet.

Thank you Chris! I am so grateful that I was led here. For once I feel like I am getting lead in the direction that I have been seeking for so long. Finally hearing and seeing.

It has been so difficult to be "in the dark" when it comes to the bible. I will certainly be doing some reading this evening, and will start with what you suggested.

I would like to add that I also have a beautiful devotional that was given to me by a dear friend. And it is of great comfort to me, and seems that most days, the readings are right on target with me.

    Thank you again!

    Thank you Jesse!

I am so so very happy to have read your response. You have described my heart and it's feelings, for many many years now. I have not been to "church" in a few years now. I do however speak to God and Jesus daily. Giving my thanks for my blessings bestowed upon me. Asking for guidance, safety and peace for myself as well as my friends and family. I feel closer than I have in previous years. The one thing that has ALWAYS bothered me for several years as an adult is that I do not know the bible. I feel very sad and ashamed to say that. Being raised as a Catholic, as you know, it was always the

weekly missalette readings. I did order and receive 2 King James Bibles in April. I am struggling as to where to begin. I know that there is the first page, of the bible. But with all that is happening in this world right now, I more than ever want to educate myself as does my husband. Do you have any advice that you would or could give us as to where a good place to start would be? I am a very passionate person when it comes to my faith with God our Lord. As I stated previously, I talk to, cry to and even have been angry with God. But my faith has never faltered I just want to have what so many others that I know personally have within their hearts. A fullness!

Thank you again for your response. It was as if you were inside my head and knew exactly what was in there.

Chapter 1 is an awesome preaching or teaching for the condition of the church today. Why? the church has been taught that Christianity is all about me. My self help, my feelings, my happiness, my fulfillment, and my validation. To answer the question about what was the law's purpose, it was to make sin exceedenly sinful in other words no matter how you feel or what you think, these things are sin, end of story. This was the problem in Israel and is the problem in the church.

The first thing God accuses them of is not considering. Give thought that you might be wrong and God and His word might be right.

He then accuses them of the lack of soundness. There thought processes were irrational. He then gives them the opportunity to reason or be logical and if they would they would repent and there sins would be changed white as snow because He had been a good God to them.

So I ask the covid/anti-government gal to reason. For someone to have underlying problems it is a death sentence for the most part so be a rebel and if you catch it you might be fine, however if you infect family members with respitory problems and they most likely will die. Concerning faith, The Devil took Jesus to the pinnicle of the temple and said He should cast Himself off and the Bible says the angels will bear Him up lest he dashes his foot against a stone. Jesus replied, "it is written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God".

You say you have faith, Jesus had more and He would not put Himself in danger on purpose to force the hand of the Father.

4 people in the church and their faith would rival most strong Christians are now with the Lordbecause of covid 19.

I was witneesing to a lady a few months back and she told me she didn't believe in heaven or hell and I told her didn't believe in semi trucks but you wouldn't catch me playing on the hiway because at the end of the day it does't matter what you or I believe, what matters is what is true.

Here is what the church always taught until 1830.

    GENEVA BIBLE)

    Daniel 9:27

And he (a) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to (b) cease, (c) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

    (a) By the preaching of the Gospel he affirmed his promise, first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles.

    (b) Christ accomplished this by his death and resurrection.

    (c) Meaning that Jerusalem and the sanctuary would be utterly destroyed because of their rebellion against God, and their idolatry: or as some read, that the plague will be so great, that they will all be astonished at them.

    JOHN WESLEY:

    Daniel 9:27

He shall confirm - Christ confirmed the new covenant, By the testimony of angels, of John baptist, of the wise men, of the saints then living, of Moses and Elias. By his preaching. By signs and wonders. By his holy life. By his resurrection and ascension. By his death and blood shedding. Shall cause the sacrifice to cease - All the Jewish rites, and Levitical worship. By his death he abrogated, and put an end to this laborious service, for ever. And that determined - That spirit of slumber, which God has determined to pour on the desolate nation, 'till the time draws near, when all Israel shall be saved.

CHECK OUT ALSO MATTHEW HENRY, JOHN GILL, etc. Matthew Henry is probably the best Bible commentator of all time.
  • Robert Marino - In Reply on Genesis 10 - 5 years ago
YOu: And if v27 refers to Jesus, doesn't this aspect of 'confirming the covenant' resemble anti-Christ's plan to go against Israel & introduce his own abominations to desecrate the Temple?

Me: Isn't the chapter about Jesus confirming THE covenant (verses 24 and 25)? It's all about that. to make an end of sins, THE TESTATOR must die in order for the will or covenant to become in affect. All over Hebrews.

A future antichrist is going to use this passage to deceive and he (Satan right now) has deceived the masses already by teaching this out of context. So will there be a third temple built? Probably but it isn't going to be God's will. God gave Israel a king that they wanted and He will give them the false messiah they want too. Modern Israel persecutes the church to this day but stirring up stuff in the Middle East whcih always results in Christians getting persecuted INADVERTANTLY by the Muslims, losing their homes and on occasion being killed. They have always persecuted the church throughout history. WE are told it was the other way around but you won't find that in history. You will find that the Roman Catholic Church persecuted both Protestants and Joos but true Christians are being given the blame for what they didn't do. Muslims blame true Christians for killing them too when it was the Roman Church behind it.
  • Robert Marino - In Reply on Genesis 10 - 5 years ago
    Chris,

Sacrifices were no longer needed after Jesus' death. To teach it is God's will to go back to them when He never wanted them in the first place but it was temporary as we are told in Hebrews and Daniel TILL ( Daniel 9:24-27) the Messiah should come - that 490 year timeline.

Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We also have the angel that is going about with the EVERLASTING GOSPEL in Revelation. So when someone says the Joos can be saved by grace and keeping the law during a future time period they are contradicting dozens of passages in both the old and new testaments.

    1. Joos were only saved ONE way during Jesus time- grace through faith through Christ. No other way.

    2. These same Joos began to spread the gospel.

    3. Joos for the last 2,000 years have been saved by grace.

So why does this change all of a sudden if Jesus was the final Lamb sacrifice that could take away the sins of the world? Blood from bulls and goats only took away sins for ONE year. You could not be born again until Jesus.

    God Bless.

you: Re: Dan 9:26,27. I think I'm reading correctly from your comment that it is Jesus that is seen in this passage. We see the Messiah cut off (v26) & then "the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city". Are you seeing Jesus here as well? Then who are the "people of Jesus (the prince)" that shall come to destroy? You said that "this has nothing to do with a future anti-Christ".

Me: It is Jesus. "People of Jesus (the prince) that shall come to destroy?" in verse 26 was fulfilled in 70 AD when Titus became a prince over night. There are TWO princes mentioned in this passage. One is Titus (secular little prince) and the other Jesus the Messiah, the Prince of peace.

I encourage you to read Mathew chapters 20, 21, 22, and 23 without thinking like a pre-trib rapture person.

Parable of the Tenants for example: WHO sends armies against Judah? God the Father does because they killed His Son.

    WHO cursed the fig tree?

These last two verses in this chapter in Daniel 9 (verses 26 and 27) interject TWO main things. The New Covenant being established and the destruction of the second temple; therefore, placing the timing of the COMING OF THE MESSIAH the first time (first advent) before the 70 weeks or 490 years expired. It is impossible for any jewish person to not have known Jesus was the Messiah as He came at the end of the 70 weeks. It is the best passage to evangelize Joos but if one holds a pre-trib position and that is over 97% of Americans they are throwing that opportunity away.

The whole purpose and context of this passage is about Messiah and the destruction of the 2nd temple.

To make an END of sins (verse 24). WHO made an end of sins and put an end to the sacrifice and oblation in verse 27? Jesus did. Why is the word abomination in there and is plural? Because the Jooish priesthood went back to doing animal sacrifices therefore rejecting the Messiah totally and right back to the vineyard renters in Matthew killing the vineyard owners Son.

I (Jesus) am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd (Jesus) giveth his life for the sheep.

You will find your armor in Ephesians 6. Put it on; every piece. Jesus provided it to you. Demons are invisible, but you can tell they're hanging around by their "fruit". Righteous anger is ok so long as it's aimed at demons; fear brings in his buddies 'torments'. That's what they're doing to you. 'Hindering, harassing, and more.

You have to fight back in the power and holiness of Jesus's Name. If you say, Jesus Christ of Nazareth they'll know they have to leave. You're going to have to get more Bible into you to enforce their permanent departure.

If you have anything in your home that could be considered an idol, occult, bad books or movies: they consider those to be doorways so they can come back. Get rid of all of it.

You must be born again and received the indwelling Holy Spirit of God. John 3. They cannot get into you because of the Holy Spirit. You're ok. Do not fear. Fight back.

Say: in The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, by the authority He has given me, I BIND your works (ask the Holy Spirit to give you the names), and I cast you into dry places to wander.

"I pray and ask for angels to come guard all openings and doors to prevent demonic entrance." And THANK YOU JESUS!!!

The appearance of Jesus was remarkable, but he wasn't a writer, but a speaker. I say this because the accounts of his life and words vary through out the New Testament. And going down thru time, and the many different religions sprung up vary a bit from each other. Therefore, they are dependant on each particular preacher for interpretation. It is confusing and maddening. I am left alone to my own device. How shall I be redeemed before God. Let me posit that in Christianity Jesus is paramount. I feel that he was an ardent student and a believer in the Old Testament, which he preached. Therefore God rewarded him on earth and in the hereafter. The resurrection of the Spirit occurs by ardent obediance and faith that God exists and is not subject to empirical proof. I am troubled by those who pervert the word of God to justify their politics, ie abortion, homosexuality, and megachurch pastors who guide their parishioners toward leaders who lie, and distort the truth. Life is long and laborious and there is ample opportunity

You must stay in the Bible (read large chunks of it) and find the scriptures for your needs:

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests BE MADE KNOWN unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Only the Holy Spirit can bestow the gifts you desire. 1 Corinthians 12,13,14

We can desire the best gifts. He will know what's best.

I use the principal stated in 1 Corinthians 7:16 to pray for an unsaved family member (an older child). It can be our kindness and love (not doormat), willingness to give undivided attention (not advise); allow them to see you sit and read the Bible, same time every day. Give hugs whether they want one or not.

Jesus said, I do what I see my Father do. We can shut the front door on life's difficulties and have a little bit of heaven on the inside. Try it. We'll win them by the Love we have for the "brethren". Our witness is worth more than gold or silver.

For every action, theres a purpose. When Joshua was leading the children of Israel to the promised land, they met with the mighty wall of Jericho that prevented them from continuing the journey on their normal track.

One will expect that they bypass the wall by either passing through the right or the left of the wall to rejoin there track.

since they could match round the whole wall in one day, bypassing it will not be up to a day journey.

They were instructed to go round the wall once in six days and seven times on the seventh day. My question is, why the stress, why the longer time, what is there inside Jericho they needed to take and what is the significance of the walland Jericho to the Israelite journey to the promised land.

If youre interested in what proverbs has to offer in terms of anger management, I am curating a list of the pertinent ones, this is a work in progress so there may be many more, I hope in Jesus name this helps:

Proverbs 14:17 He that issoon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

Proverbs 15:18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Proverbs 19:11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Proverbs is a great Book to get wisdom.

Psalms is about the realities of life: high, low; rejoicing and weeping; regrets and renewal, and much more.

Song of Solomon is a picture of The Lord and his Bride.

The Old Testament history records are about no matter how far you sink and sin; reject God: eventually people realized they must return to God; and God took them back.

It seems when things are going good: we slip back into our old sinful ways.

Lamentations is a heartbreaking book. It shows you how far God goes to bring us back to Him.

I can never understand how easily we can just drop God out of our lives, when it suits us. How do we do that? Do we think that He doesn't love like us; ache when we hurt ourselves.

I'm weird I guess. I could see how viewing movies on Netflix did not edify my spirit. I dropped them and had PureFlix for a time. The process of being entertained disturbs me. That's when I really started reading huge sections of the Bible. One day I made myself read all the genealogies. I'm asking what does this teach me? God knows everyone who has ever lived! He keeps it all written down. He knows us; we aren't invisible like we feel sometimes in a crowd or standing in line at the grocery store. He's as close as you let Him be. I never cry alone. He's with me watching clouds, or sunsets. I adore rain because I see the flash and hear the thunder and to me... it's me hearing his sound. We need more God consciousness. You can have as much as you want. No limits. He will show you Himself in the world as much as you can see Him in his written Word: the Bible. Dive in, get wet, splash it on someone else. Maybe that's how we share it with those we love? Experience the love of our Savior. I cannot define the depth of His love. Lean into Him. That's all I can say. Mishael

You cannot build, where there is no foundation. you cannot insert doors or windows where there are no walls. Everything must be done step by step. First things first.

You cannot build a roof if there is no structure with walls to support the weight of the roof.

So too, every precept must be upon precept, and you cannot add a precept where there are no precepts. To walk you must first be able to stand, to run you must first be able to walk. Stand, walk, run.

Growth and maturity come with the process of time.

Nothing just happens. Precept must be upon precept.

I think it's important to be refreshed and re-oiled by the Holy Spirit. Let's not let ourselves be drawn into the vortex of what we see on a daily basis. Somewhere, maybe David? Says to encourage ourselves.

God may be calling you to intercede: as Jesus is doing right now, at the right hand of God. He's making intercession for all saints. He's praying for you. Your burden for saints slipping towards apostasy is what I mean. Don't let them slip away. You will be rewarded for doing so; rewarded now. Your spirit and your faith will grow huge.

I tell people we're supposed to have our lamps topped off with the Oil of the Holy Spirit at all times. Be looking every day for Jesus's shout. Get on the wedding supper apparel....but also put your armor on underneath it. Be praying for all saints. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send workers out into it.

I googled street evangelism and was surprised to see the ministers teaching it online. We could take church out into our neighborhoods. It doesn't have to be in crowded areas. A lot of people are thinking more about God now. Wondering if God is bringing all this misery upon us? Jesus is the ARK of God; and Im sure God just wants us to get us and others in that Ark.

No one would witness to me when I was unsaved. No one invited me to go to church with them. They didn't say Jesus is trying to get your attention, but your deaf as a rock. Why did He peel back the veil and let me see what I did? Jesus just came into my miserable half-dead existence and gave me a whole brand new life in Him. Every day with Him is filled with wonder and high expectation of even greater things. See..I think that is what Heaven is going to be. Awake Sleeper: come into the Light of His Love.

Grab onto the Holy Spirit! He's moving fast. Ask Him to anoint you anew. Lift you in the spirit of your mind and refill your first love joy.
