    Charles Jordan,

    Concerning the word NEPHILIM

The word "giants" ( Genesis 6:4) is the English transliteration of the Hebrew word "nephiyl" (Strong's #5303) and means; a feller, a bully or tyrant- a giant.

This word "nephiyl" is a derivative of the primitive root "naphal" (Strong's #5307) and means; to FALL (in a great variety of applications), and is used in Scripture for the following words:

cast down- (fallen angels) look at the book of Jude

    cease

die- (what Satan and the angels are guaranteed of)

    fall away

fugitive- (Cain, product of Satan and Eve)

(cause to) lie down- (Satan and Eve in the Garden)

    lying

    overthrow

    (make to) rot

    slay

    throw down:

It is now PLAIN TO SEE that the progenitors of the giants were the angels.

The Hebrew language is the language of God.

Hebrew is the language God used to form heaven and earth and everything into existence.

"and God SAID" ( Genesis 1:3)

Hebrew is the only language on the planet that is both phonetic and pictorial.

The Hebrew number system is contained within it's 22 letter aleph-bet.

Learning Biblical Hebrew = a deeper understanding of Scripture.

    Herman Dcouto,

Jesus died on what we call Wednesday just before sundown.

Wednesday sundown to Thursday sundown = 1 day (first night and day in the tomb)

Thursday sundown to Friday sundown = 1 day (second night and day in the tomb)

Friday sundown to Saturday sundown = 1 day (third night and day in the tomb)

Mary came to the sepulchre at daybreak Sunday.

    Look at Matthew 12:40.

Jesus rose at some time between Saturday sundown and Sunday morning.

The "high day" of John 19:31 was the first day of the feast (Passover), and is considered a high holy Sabbath day.

The first day of the Feast was a Thursday (15th day of Nisan- April 3/4). The 15th day of Nisan commenced at sunset on what we would still call the 14th.

Jesus was crucified on the 14th, the "preparation day" ( John 19:31), and by law the crucified bodies should not remain on the cross on a Sabbath day. Jesus was put in the tomb before sunset on Wednesday the 14th.

The "first day of the week" ( Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:1-2, Luke 24:1, John 20:1-), the day of the Resurrection, was from our Saturday sunset to Sunday sunset.

Jesus was to be the Lamb slain, and His crucifixion took place on the "preparation day" ( John 19:14) when all lambs were slaughtered for the great Passover Feast the NEXT day.

The Last Supper DID NOT take place on the day of Passover, look at Matthew 27:62, Mark 15:42, Luke 23:54, John 19:14, John 19:31-42.

The "third day" of Matthew 16:21 is not the third day of the great Feast, but the third day of our Lord and Savior being in the tomb.

The Hebrew calendar used at the time of Jesus counted a full day from sunset to sunset, not midnight to midnight.

The Hebrew 24 hour period of time is broken up into two 12 hour segments. The first segment is from 6 pm until 6 am. The second segment is from 6 am until 6 pm.

The "third hour" of the day in Mark 15:25 when Christ was crucified is 9 am

The "ninth hour" when He gave up the ghost is 3 pm.

In Hebrews, Paul speaks to his own. These days, where our world is in danger of imploding on itself for pestilence and racial warfare, corruption of our government, in part facilitated by right wing Christians and their weeping for donation preachers. To whom shall we turn for truth, for our daily bread? I find that there is noone. Of course, all on this site say it's Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. That does me no good. Born again is any empty cliche! But I do read the bible religously and am comforted by God, El Shaddai, my creator who sits in Zion and is a God of Gods. His Son's are those who obey the Pact, which He spoke to Moses in the dessert. He is both Creator and Destroyer. He requires obedience un questioned and rewards accordingly.

    Truth in the Scripture

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If ANY man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And WHOSOEVER will, let him take the water of life freely.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

So, I suppose that's why Paul encouraged believers not to judge one another over various matters ( Col 2:16) which are a shadow of things to come, as each one led by the Spirit does according to his belief & conviction. So, No, I don't ascribe to the 10 Commandments, but His Spirit in me I know takes me far beyond them & to all who are led of the Spirit of God.

And by the way, which calendar do you follow & how does that impact in your daily life?

Also, Col 2:14 & Eph 2:15: the Gk is 'dogmasin', meaning 'an opinion, or a public decree': a little open-ended.

May the Lord help us in the study of His Word & I appreciate your time.

    g. what then is the response to those who require obedience to God's Laws (for both Jew & Gentile) & also to enjoy Christ's salvation? If we keep the Law, then we are bound to it & its demands (Js 2:10). If we belong to Christ through His Gift of Salvation, then we are bound to His Spirit Who imputes God's Laws in our hearts. Rom 8:1-5: I see the key words here (as pertaining to our discussion) as "the righteousness of the Law" (v4).

Someone has said that there were 600 Laws given for the Jews to obey. I agree that the Law is no way negated or abolished, but the whole essence of that Law, was to bring guilt & condemnation so that Israel might look to God in faith knowing that their ability to keep the Law failed before God. And now, that same Law, but no longer by the letter, is imputed into the believers' hearts enabling them to know, understand & obey them by the guidance & power of the Spirit. Will it still be the 10 Commandments for us to obey? What sayeth the Spirit of God to our hearts? Surely it will be the righteousness of the Law, that which surmounts the letter. Just as the Jew knew the Law forbad adultery, but that Law didn't stop him from what Jesus spoke of in Mt 5:28. Jesus spoke of the Law's righteousness, & this Law is in our hearts that we might be convicted of it. The Jew knew that the Sabbath was Holy with its requirements: the Spirit speaks of the blessed rest we have in Christ, one now for those who have come to Christ ( Mt 11:28,29), & the rest yet to come ( Heb 4:1-11).

Hi again Greg & thanks for your input & trouble you've taken over this very important subject. While our travels are restricted because of this pandemic & being in retirement, I find that I can give some 'extra' time to valuable discussions such as these, as it also helps me focus on specific Scriptures which I might have ordinarily glossed over.

Again, you've raised a number of questions worthy for thought but I will focus on the foundational aspect on which I base my belief & premise: Is the Christian commanded or obliged to keep the Law?

    a. to whom was the Law given? Only to God's elect, Israel: ( Lev 26:46).

    b. why was it given? For their good ( Deut 10:13); to reveal Himself to His people ( Lev 19:2, Deut 31:12,13); to set Israel apart (sanctify them) as a witness to other nations ( Lev 20:8, Deut 28:1, 9-10); and to reveal humanity's need of a Saviour ( Rom 3:20, 7:7, 8:3,4).

    c. did not Jesus obey the Law? As a Jew, He fulfilled it perfectly ( Mt 5:17) & the Law will remain unchanged till it reaches its intended purpose (v 18).

    d. if that is so, then why did Jesus have to come & give His life for mankind? What the Law was unable to do, only Christ could do ( Rom 8:3).

    e. then what did Christ's sacrifice do to the Law? To those who still keep the Law, they have to obey it perfectly, or be guilty of all (Js 2:10). To those who are convinced that they are guilty under the law, find forgiveness by faith in Christ, apart from the Law ( Rom 3:28).

    f. can a Christian then still be under (keep) the Law (putting himself under Jewish Law) & have salvation through Christ's Blood? Impossible, for the Law could only reveal one's sin which lead to death. But now all who are in Christ (Jew & Gentile) are delivered from that law of death, believing & serving God in the spirit & not according to the letter ( Rom 7:5,6).

    Bob Hilt,

I am unaware of any more than one wife of Noah.

Scripture states that Noah and his "wife" ( Genesis 7:7, 13) went into the Ark.

Specifically 8 (Adamic) souls were saved upon the Ark ( 1 Peter 3:20).

That would be Noah, his wife, their 3 sons, and the three sons wives.

Is there any Scripture to back up what you are claiming?

It is clear that we are fighting a spiritual war against enemies who are far greater in numbers, intelligence, subtlety, and power than Israel had to wage war against in terms of the Amalekites, the Moabites, and so forth. In addition, our enemy is invisible."Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."

    Bob Grove,

Fornication is not just pre-marital sex.

Where did you find your definition or understanding of this word?

Fornication is the Greek word "porneia" and means "sexual immorality, MARITAL UNFAITHFULNESS, prostitution, adultery; a general term for sexual sin of any king. (Strong's #4202).

Bob, do yourself a favor if you care to understand Scripture correctly. Get yourself a Bible Concordance, which is a Hebrew and Greek dictionary of all words in the Bible.

Mishael, not to pick a fight or anything and you are right the antichrist can / will change the money.

in 1933 President Roosevelt made ownership of gold illegal. Prior to this the USA had legal gold coins and silver.

Silver coins were removed in 1965 and I remember them as a kid.

I bought 2 large candy bars for a silver dime. What do they cost today.

Yet can we eat gold and silver? They could make it illegal?

I suspect food seeds might be a better investment for the future.

    We Gentiles are IN.

    The Jews are OUT.

They've been spiritually blinded and made spiritually deaf. They are unable to perceive it.

It will probably be that way until the caught up occurs.

They are being exposed to Messianic Jewish Christians. Jews returning to Israel: many say that they are Jewish believers in Jesus Christ.

We are not the Lambs Book of Life Inspectors. This is a work of faith and obedience.

If they haven't prayed the prayer; they are subject to the tribulation. Plus the blindness and deafness will have been lifted.

I don't struggle with this in my heart. I pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as ordered by God. Simple obedience. What He does with those prayers are His business.

    Matthew 18

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

There's a movie you can get through Walmart or amazon: it's about a man whose daughter was kidnapped and murdered. He was very bitter Against God.

He returns where it happened. He was about to commit suicide and a deer walks past the door. He decides to leave but sees a man off the side. Thinking it is the murderer returning, he draws a gun on him. It's Jesus. The whole weekend is about him forgiving God.

If you're having trouble forgiving go get a movie named The Shack. Your life will be changed.

This for people studying Genesis. I took this route to study and it really opens up some things. I'm not done yet.

If you go to Genesis and as you read along; INSERT the Center of the Page references to other scripture. All the way down each page. Go to the other Books. Read that and also other scripture references from those pages.

The cast out angels became evil like Satan; more like servants to him. They had bodies.

They were drowned after the flood with Noah's ark. Their bodies were gone. They lived on as demons; until now. They have to get inside a sinful human or animals.

God was already recording genealogy that Jesus would be born in the future.

Archaeology has confirmed the Bible. A lot of the giants bones have been confirmed faked; but others are carbon dated and creepy! What people thought was thousands of years was really millions+

This is what I decided for ME about this. I could read books till I'm 80, to piece archaeology, geology and space exploration, or I can do what God has called me to do.

    I choose God.

The earth scientists haven't made the connection To the Bible. There are no books, no attempts to connect so I'm thinking we should leave it alone till they do.

It's good to the understanding of what God calls invisible; mystery. We can understand what satans trying to do to the saints of God; Invisible spiritual warfare; demons and people who welcome them into their lives and bodies. We can't even get started until we understand what is our authority against these things! We need the Holy Spirit to tell us the names, their fruit, the demonic personality. They're all unclean.

You can't proceed full steam WITHOUT The Holy Spirits leadership. I've had some experience with it and I can say with conviction; it's not a haunted house with scary exhibits.

We have the authority. Learn how to use it: in Jesus's NAME. Especially in the last days.

    Watch some Charles Capps, youtube.

    Authority of Believers

What is the Bible definition of an antichrist and who fits the description.

1 John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (ALL Jews deny Jesus and that makes them antichrist, if they believed in Jesus then they would be CHRISTIANS. IF you do not believe me call any Synagogue and ask them if Jesus is the Messiah.)

1 John 2:23 - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

If Jews do not accept Jesus as messiah, then who is their messiah?

1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED) Maranatha.

DO JEWS LOVE JESUS OR ARE THEY CURSED?

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Most of us do not respond well to criticism or ridicule. However we always love praise for our efforts.

This is saying that whatever the opinion or outcome: take it PATIENTLY. This was really hard for me to learn! I was like the President: you smack me I smack you back twice.

If you ever prayed, Lord, help me to be more patient..... it will be painful to learn but afterwards you will look more like the Lord. Temperance is even harder; but you will be blessed when you know you passed the test.

Now when something tests me, I say Holy Spirit: what just happened? He'll say, watch and see.

It's hard for people like Peter and I was: Hands flying and we see Jesus pick up some guys ear and put it back on the guy.

Being patient is good. Follow the Lords lead. He leads. We follow.
