The first part of knowing & accepting God's forgiveness is agreeing with God that He has indeed called you to repentance, He has truly forgiven you & accepted you according to His Word, you are in His family now & at great liberty to partake of His goodness & enjoy the new life He has given you. To harbour fears of being unacceptable & in judgement are no longer of the Lord, but of the enemy of your soul who wants to keep you caged & bound in his lies. Continue to read & study the Scriptures with this thought in mind. I always recommend the study of 1 John & especially for you, chapter 5, verse 13: a very positive confirmation to all who have called upon the Name of the Lord for salvation, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that YE MAY KNOW (i.e. to know with all assurance) that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." Do you believe? Have you put your faith in Jesus? Then the promise is that YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE NOW & nothing, but nothing, can separate you from God's Love because He now only sees you through His Son, His only begotten still with the nail scarred Hands. Such is His Love for you - Hold onto Him - He's holding onto you.

Richard, if I could add to Fred's good advice to you. Oftentimes, we Christians look at a Scripture & form a judgement, whether to our favour or not. It's always a good practise to learn as much as you can about a Bible book in regards to the authorship, readership, reasons for writing, etc. Hebrews was written primarily to Jews who had converted to Christ or likely, appeared to do so. So, unlike Gentile converts, these Jews had a lot of the OT already in their minds & so the writer had to deal with much of that. We can't go into that here; as you read this epistle with that in mind, you will some of these hurdles they had to overcome.

Heb 10:26,27, is one of those warnings given. It was directed to some who had or were planning to leave the faith (apostatize); in other words, they wanted to reject Christ & His salvation preferring to return to Judaism. Hence the 'sin' spoken of in v26, is the sin of Christ rejection by turning back to Judaism. So the writer goes on in v28,29, that if those who wilfully disobeyed the Law in times past were executed for their crime, how much more worthy will be the punishment for any who now consider the Sacrifice of Christ as a useless vain offering, showing hatred to God's gracious Work.

Do you believe the above applies to you brother? I would think not, but you know your circumstances. As well, when these apostates left, they would have not had any convictions about their actions - they were cast off to join the throng of Christ-rejectors, & more so, having also once been partakers of the Spirit's offerings (6:4-6, shows the same warning there also). Your moving testimony of your spiritual struggle tells us that the Spirit of God has been working on you right through your life. No-one who has been cast off from God ever senses conviction & a call to repentance. You have responded to His Call, in spite of self will & obstinacy in the past.

AMEN. So many verses, I am excited to see other people glorify our Savior Redeemer Jesus. By using the King James Version Bible means so much to me. Saved since 1979, I am grateful for the grace and mercy of Father upon my own life and the lives of my children and their childrens lives. I pray in the word of Father and pray for others also in the name of Jesus. Thank you for your comments.

  • Chris - In Reply on Ephesians 6 - 5 years ago
You're right that Satan is the god of this World, but Almighty God our Father is also the Creator of this World & mankind. Ultimately, we have to answer to God not to Satan for the condition of our hearts & quality of our lives. If Satan created us, then I agree, God is out of the picture & praying to Him would be useless. So, if we're so burdened to pray for the world, & specific sinners particularly, then this must be a good thing which is in harmony with the Purposes of God who created us.

Good day, I have a question that might sound silly but I'd like to get outside input. The Bible is very clear about witchcraft, predictions on the future ext.; what about the weatherman? He is predicting the future however it's not witchcraft.....? Thanks and God Bless

    1 Corinthians 15:52

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    1 Thessalonians 4:16

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    There's numerous scriptures on "trumpet".

This first scripture shows TRUMP and TRUMPET.

You need no other proof. Without knowing if the word trump Is in the Bible; you unloaded both barrels on a brother.

In 2 Timothy 2:23-26, shows what the servent of Jesus should behave like (as He is).

In 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Description of the perilous times we are living in NOW.

In 2 Timothy 4:1-5. People who get caught up in worldly arguments or perhaps, Politics. Christians are not supposed to be taken captive by these things. Period.

My comment personally: it was an enraged crowd that came together, boiled over and screamed in unison, to release a cold-blooded (public) killer. Instead of Jesus, the Son of God!

If you would study the Book of Revelation you would know that the Antichrist is alive on earth and already setting up his ONE WORLD political system And one world religious system. Evil leaders will be promoted and righteous leaders will be killed or removed from office somehow. I'm pretty sure that Satan doesn't want any Christians on his end time team.

May we all CHOOSE to get ON GODS TEAM.

You are my strong tower, my rock, my water in a thirsty land, my food when there is none. When I'm in that place were I don't want to be. I break in song until I feel better, thank you father for blessing me thus far. I am honored to sing and glorify you each and every day.amen. I n reference to psalms 98.

Remember the simplicity and let it free you.

Salvation comes by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Grace ?....a gift from God, undeserved.

Faith ?....read the Bible....and your faith grows

Christ Jesus.... who said I am the Way, the Truth, the Life and no-one comes to the Father except through me.

Forget about Churches they're ALL fakes and infiltrated....ALL.

I walk alone, with Jesus Christ.

I have been with Him for 40 years.

Talk to Him ( pray) and read the Bible EVERY DAY...and you're way ahead already.

    Amen.
  • WHAT DOES GOD LOOK LIKE - In Reply on Luke 14:26 - 5 years ago
God is Spirit. There are MANY scriptures on God being seen. If you read it slowly, you will see the description is in imagery.

Go get some pen & paper and write down these scriptures; then you can read them and picture God in your heart when you pray.

    John 1:18, John 6:46, John 5:37

    1 John 4:12, 1 John 3:6, 1 John 4:20

    1 Timothy 1:17, 1 Timothy 6:16

    Luke 1:31-32, Matthew 22, Romans 1:20

    Philippians 2, Hebrews 1:1-13,

    Colossians 1:15

    Deuteronomy 4:12, 15. Exodus 3:6

    Exodus 33:20-23

    Isaiah 38:11, Isaiah 64:4

    Job 9:11, Job 35:14, Job 23:8

This is a ps from me: if you have "pictures of God" (some artist imagined) in your home? You need to get rid of them,

According to Exodus 20. That's not a photograph of God and is considered to be a graven image. Crosses on the wall is ok, but not images.

I have 1 still life painting of a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of water. It makes me think of eating a meal with Jesus.

  • Mishael on BIBLE TRACT ministry - In Reply on Genesis 10 - 5 years ago
I'm an old street preacher too. Lately I have noticed unique ways people distribute Chick Tracts and others:

Outside of a goodwill store I saw one on top of a trash can. Looked brand new. First I almost wept because someone threw away Gods Word. Got in my car and was praying out the pain; and I saw someone throw paper in the can and pick up the tract and take it with them.

I see tracts on the sidewalk (out of the foot traffic somewhat) and people pick them up!!

I've seen them on park or bus benches.

I know street ministry is still alive and well!

Almost everyone will read a Chick comic type booklet. They're inexpensive too.

I know they pray over them and ask God to lead people to them. He is the Lord of the Harvest! I hope more people will do this.

There's even space on it to write your Church's name and address on it.

Then be praying for your Pastor to hear from God every time he prays and gets his sermon ready for whatever day your Church chooses to assemble on.

Makes me think of John 3:8

The wind Blows where it listeth , and Thou hearest the sound thereof, but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

All of us older folks should bless the church teens with what they need to spread some love around the neighborhood; if the Church will allow it.

I was sorry to read of your 'thorn in the flesh'. I'm sure that His measure of Grace to you thus far has kept you strong both physically & spiritually. I will lift you up before His Throne in prayer, to be included with the other "vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints".

Our early Christian ministry on the street sound similar, as I too, with a team from the Fellowship back in the early '80s, 'hit the streets' with preaching, singing, tract distribution & personal sharing. It was based & styled on the work of Open Air Campaigners (OAC). And yes, it was difficult then as we received verbal abuse & being spat upon, but we knew our messages were vital to the many on their way to entertainment & eventually to hell. I remember one ex-pastor of a C of C saw me sharing the word on the street. He quickly looked away, I imagine embarrassed & convicted, as I heard that he had left the Lord & his wife & had another woman in his arms. Maybe at the sight of us standing for the Lord might have brought him back to the Lord - we don't know.

But street work did get more difficult, with our (Australian) govt. prohibiting this type of work yet allowing devilish music by buskers to sound out in the name of entertaining the passing public. We really felt discouraged & could envisage the seeds of the anti-Christ spirit already at work. Some believers still go out distributing tracts, though my ministry is from home these days & sharing one-to-one as the opportunity arises (mainly to RCs). Your marching about with a Cross was a bold witness indeed. I remember a dear brother (now with the Lord), who had a billboard strapped to his front & back with a couple of pertinent challenges to passing motorists - & he perched himself in the centre median strip so all could see the Word. Believers would honk their horns & encourage him! You know Robert, our ministry & zeal will never fade - they just take on a different form as we age & as divinely directed. Blessings to you.

  • Chris - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
Greg, again, I appreciate your ongoing comments here & fully realize & accept that we both have our own understanding on this matter basing it on the Word.

I think that you will agree that there are many things in the Word that are either not fully explained or require us to make inferences to try & bring together: especially on eschatology, to which there are numerous divergent opinions, many of them well supported. So, my issue is not whether a believer chooses to keep Saturday as their day of rest & worship, to the exclusion of any other day; my concern is to the ramifications of that belief, i.e. if a Saturday (Sabbath) is not recognized, then what is the result to the believer & before God?

Col 2:16: "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days". So, it seems clear that 'in Christ', the believer is free to do a number of things, including appointing his worship day & this should not be a cause for judgement or division. "All are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ". When in ministry in Pakistan, believers there were compelled to have Friday as their day of worship, simply because of the Muslim holy day & generally people worked for six days in the week. This felt strange at first, but it was after all a day set aside to worship the true God & an opportunity to minister. We could have refused to do so, saying that only the Sabbath or a Sunday is holy & to be observed. So I ask, what then are the implications to those who don't keep the Sabbath, just as I have mentioned to those who insist on it ( Gal 3:10-12)? Is it just another sin that is to be repented of, or a divider of those who are granted eternal life & those who are rejected?

I can't get into the 'solar calendar' argument: in the light of my understanding, the actual days are unimportant for worship & it would only lead to a strange observance of days given the calendars we now need to abide with.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Thanks for your input here; indeed, this is a great place to visit to maybe learn more of God's Word or even to share your thoughts & revelations from the Spirit. Though our discussions can get quite 'spirited' at times, hopefully keeping them in the bounds of holiness & decency. I too have used KJBOnline often, as my 'Go To' when working on a message at my desk, but became interested further when checking out the Discussions Tab: a great way to share, learn & even unknowingly, helping someone struggling in their faith - it can become quite an effective ministry if soaked in prayer & the Spirit's guidance. The Lord bless you too & trust that your eye issue will be sorted out.

For Gloria and those interested, Every man and "Womb"man or woman have their own spirit or Ghost. Jesus is different, He has the same spirit or ghost as His father, so even though they are two people and have life in themselves, they are the totally connected by the one spirit. How many times have you heard "That boy is just like his father", well Jesus is so much like His father that He is His father only in a visible form. All things were created through "the Son" and He visited, walked and talked on the earth long before He was known as Jesus. This is important for JW's etc to understand as it will transform the way they read scripture in the King James and answer many questions for those who do not understand the deity of God and free them from the watchtower society views and its alteration of scripture due to not understanding the simplicity of Gods dominion. Father who cannot be seen (way too big), Son who can be seen..creator..visitor...saviour....same spirit.. same in every way..

Regarding Noah and those critters who went in two and two, if you read carefully, you will find there were 4 of every kind, two females and two males, except for the ones who were 7 boys and 7 girls. The ark was the size of a modern aircraft carrier from world war 2. It could easily carry all those animals and have a whole deck just for people. Amazing stuff for his day. Imagine looking at that ark all finished after around 110 years work...Phew..all done ..nearly.
