John L - you need to reconcile who Jesus is before you are concerned with the Noahide laws that are not in the Bible.

1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Who is this about? "God was manifest in the flesh"

John Chapter 10:28 And I (Jesus) give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. (How can Jesus, if a mere man give eternal life?)

29 My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand.

30 I and [my] Father are one. I and [my] Father are one, I and [my] Father are one.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

(Jesus never told them they misunderstood)

How about Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Only God can forgive sins and Jesus told some their sins were forgiven.

So is Jesus a deceiver or is he God in the flesh as 1 Timothy 3:16 states?

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us US make man in our image, after OUR our likeness:

Should we believe the Lord is speaking to the angels?

Please do a study on the Godhead and quit being concerned about made up laws that exist only in the minds of antichrist rabbis.

Noah and his family entered into an ark of safety prepared for them before the flood, effectively removed from the then world's destruction. Later, they were restored to a new beginning. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for his people.

Lot and his daughters were removed to safety from Sodom before the LORD rained brimstone and fire on the cities. Sadly his wife looked back.

Our word "rapture" is derived from the Latin "rapiemur", used in the Vulgate translation of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 for "caught up" or "snatched away".

Enoch is our prototype for rapture in Genesis 5:24 and Hebrews 11:5 (translated that he should not see death...).

Another precedent: 2 Kings Chapter 2 tells us of Elijah being taken to heaven by a whirlwind in a chariot of fire.

Song of Solomon Chapter 2 relates a king calling his bride to come away with him from her hidden place, much as we can imagine Christ calling his Church out of this world.

!st Corinthians 15:51-52 declares the mystery that some will not sleep (bodily death), then promises all of us will be changed into the incorruptible and immortal.

Truly no man knows the day or hour, but the book of Revelation does not mention the Church on earth beyond the third chapter. In Revelation 7:9 an innumerable multitude of the saved out of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues stand before the throne praising God. After this the wrath of God falls upon the inhabitants of the earth, which wrath the Church is not appointed to (1-Thessalonians 5:9).

The Temple of Solomon was destroyed and is not facing any direction today.

God the Father allowed Rome to give a message to those who rejected Christ and his sacrifice

in 70 AD when they invaded Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple. Thus fulling the prophecy of Jesus in Matthew 24 when he said not on stone would be upon another. Judaism as a religious practice with animal sacrifices ceased to exist.

The wailing wall is not part of the Temple, unless Jesus was a false prophet. I believe Jesus, not those who pray at the wailing wall. The wailing wall is part of an old Roman fort.

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Thank you Chris and Mishael. I see you both very active here in the forum. Please understand I AM doing homework. More so than ever before. Each time I have asked a question I have prayed and then opened my Bible and read, studied. I also search other forums and stray from many. It is amazing and truly awesome that in every question I have had, the Holy Spirit will lead me in the Bible to what needs studied, understood and placed into action. When responses are given, here, they come from the same scripture I was lead into. Beyond the "basic go to." I also have begun listening to Christian podcasts and radio as I commute each day. The podcasts and radio speak directly of the questions I asked the day or evening before. Specifically. I praise God and the Holy Spirit every time!

Again, maybe my questions are basic to those well vested in scripture but for myself I am not a biblical scholar. I have opened my Bible many times throughout life but it is now part of my daily bread. I now open it differently. Just as one does not graduate from university before completion of elementary and high school, I am working my way through! Please don't view some of our questions as too simple or include the view that we don't seek these answers on "our own." Many simply need guidance. Through God and the Holy Spirit but sometimes it's nice to interact with a human being who is firm in scripture. I don't have many friends and those I do have are being parted from as they care of the worldly things and have no Faith in Christ. Each day I pray to further my understanding in God so I may be able to be a firm part of God's Will.

    Thank You. God Bless

  • Christian Cowgirl on Psalms 70 - 5 years ago
Hello! I am requesting prayer for several things. First and foremost always protection and guidance for my family and marriage.

Our 17 year old will be 18 in a couple months. Please pray for him that he would be sensitive and attentive to God's ear and plan.

God is opening doors for us in big ways, please pray we follow God's plan wholly and step through those in his confidence.

For our nation that our elected officials would stand up and lead according to God's Holy Word.

    For our President.

    That backsliding children would return.

Spiritual ears, eyes and hearts be opened.

That God would bestow upon his children wisdom and peace to face these times.

That each of us would not be fearful of sharing God's Holy Word but be emboldened in Christ.

Each of us use all our testimony for his honor glory and purpose.

That God would not hide his face from us, but protect and cause us to flourish just as Goshen did during the plagues. So that all who have refused to see and all who have turned away will know that you ARE God most high, you ARE Jehovah Jireh, El Shaddai, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Rapha, Qana, Abba, Alpha and Omega! Kindle the embers in each saved person's heart to rise up and be a battle axe for God!

    Dear DH,

Since you feel guilt and remorse of your past sin that's a good thing. That means you genuinely regret it, but if you confessed this and repented to God already then God has already forgiven you. Hebrews 8:12. The only step remaining is you forgiving yourself and giving that burden to God. If you refuse to forgive yourself, then you might ask: what Jesus dying for you not enough? Galatians 2:21 It is for everyone else, so why not for you? He loves you that much to die for you and forgive your sin even when you mess up, even when you know better, can you accept that? Do you accept his gift?

    >I feel it's unforgivable

Let's challenge this statement. This is an assumption, because you don't truly know that. It's also inconsistent with the Bible. The Bible says all sins are covered except for only one, blasphemy of the holy spirit, and that's not what you did. If your statement was true it would also be true for others too, but its not. There are countless others who have also gone through this and feel 100% forgiven. If its true for them how could a different standard apply for you?

The Bible already made its promises so if you don't believe the Bible that is another matter. You're forgiven, wiped away, and if you follow Christ you this sin is forgotten: Hebrews 8:12. It takes faith to believe the Words of God and to apply them. It clearly says you're forgiven. Believe and celebrate that and go and 'sin no more'. John 8:11

    God bless you!
  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
    Chris:

    a. The Sabbath was given to man Mark 2:27 at creation Genesis 2:2-3 it's not a day that God required just for the Israelite's to keep, which is why the 4th commandment starts with "remember" it is because the children of Israel had forgotten through hundreds of years of slavery in Egypt.

    b. Jesus came to this world not to destroy the law and the prophets Matt. 5:17, The law (10 commandments) says to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

The breaking of bread in Acts 20:7 is referring to eating (food) (see Acts 20:11)

1 Cor. 16:2 the "first day of the week" Paul is referring to putting aside your offerings (collection for the saints) starting on the first day of the week (Sunday) (see 1 Cor.16:1)

Revelation 1:10 John was in vision on the sabbath (Lord's day is the sabbath, For the son of man is Lord, even of the sabbath day. (see Matthew 12:8)

    c. What was nailed to the cross was the "ceremonial laws" not the 10 commandments. In (Matt.27:51) the veil of the temple was rent in two when Jesus died on the cross, the ceremonial laws that God had required since sin came into the world (sacrificing animals ect) was no longer needed because the ultimate sacrifice had just been made and that was the shedding of blood of a sinless Jesus on the cross.

Matthew 5:18 One jot or one tittle shall not wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Rev. 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter into the gates of the city.

Saints of God, I have experienced God in a way that I cannot explain for the past 5 years. All that I can say is that if it had not been for God, I would have been destroyed. I personally can attest to the ability of my mighty God to shelter from the storms of life. Everyday He is teaching me how to dwell in His presence. Are there distractions? "Yes, but with the distractions, I hear His voice calling me deeper into His presence. He love us men and women of God. The more we need Him, the closer He is willing to come into our messes, turning our messes into moments of victory!

I loss my only son Ellis who was my best friend. I don't like to use the word murdered but that's exactly what happened to him by a gun shot wound to his chest. I never thought that I would join a group of mothers who have lost their children to gun violence. As Job said the one thing I feared the most has come upon me. Last night I was led to pray according to Matthew 6:6, and he rewarded me with Isaiah 61 where he promised to heal my broken heart. Oh how I love Jesus because he first loves me. This is one of many of his promises that he has led me to read only to be reminded of how much Jesus loves me and that Ellis has eternal life.

It was not only Moses and Aaron who went in to Pharaoh to ask for the release of Israel.

In addition to Moses and Aaron there were the sons of Rueben, the sons of Simeon, and the sons of Levi.

Verses 26-27 These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.

These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.

T: The Scripture that I always have before me concerning prayer is James 5:16: "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

So often our prayers lack burden & focus & may end up being very general & routine. The prayers that reach Heaven, that bangs hard on its doors are from those who persist in fervent prayer, who pray with a burden, & whose hearts & hands are unstained. We each one have matters heavy upon our hearts & most likely impressed upon us further by the Spirit of God. And even when we pray lacking knowledge: "the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." ( Rom 8:26).

To not pray when pressed upon is very wrong & another person has to be found to stand in the gap.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." ( Ezek 22:30)

You have a burden to pray for America, as many of us outside her borders do, then let no man withhold you - you can do far more than anyone with political power can because God's Power rests upon you & carries your heart's burden to His Throne of Mercy.

You said that your prayer time reaches out into other parts of the world. A handy book to have is: Operation World. In His Service, we often carried the Bible in one hand & Operation World in the other. Also, if you're unable to purchase the book, it has a Web page where you get a condensed version of the countries of the world & their specific needs for prayer.

Those people are demon oppressed and possessed.

If you are strong in your faith, exercised in scripture study AND know what spiritual warfare is. You're talking about princes and principalities. Ephesians 6

I was into astrology many years. It was my grandmother who had a burden to pray for me, and mail me love letters. I got an entire church mad about what I was doing and they decided to pray and fast for me, 1 day. For a year my life unraveled before my eyes! Finally every shred of personal security was all gone. I was a quivering mass of self- medicated nerves!

I was finally ready for Jesus to come into my life.

It can happen for the groups you mentioned too. Nothing is impossible....

If that's where your faith is, then get some friends to join with you. Find the scriptures you want to make your stand on. You will shake heaven. Keep a notebook for anything the Holy Spirit may suggest.

Do your homework. You must know your authority over the demonic. Take a look at Charles Capps website. He taught me.

This is what the commentary says about the scapegoat:

16:21 All the iniquities - He mentions iniquities, transgressions, and sins, to note sins of all sorts, and that a free and full confession was to be made, and that the smallest sins needed, and the greatest sins were not excluded from, the benefit of Christ's death here represented. On the head - Charging all their sins and the punishment due to them upon the goat, which tho' only a ceremony, yet being done according to God's appointment and manifestly pointing at Christ upon whom their iniquities and punishments were laid, # Isa 53:5|,6, it was available for this end. And hence the Heathens took their custom of selecting one beast or man, upon whom they laid all their imprecations and curses, and whom they killed as an expiatory sacrifice for their sins, and to prevent their ruin. A fit man - Heb. a man of time, that is, of years and discretion, who may be trusted with this work. Into the wilderness - Which signified the removal of their sins far away both from the people, and out of God's sight. And here the goat being neglected by all men, and exposed to many hazards from wild beasts, which were numerous there, might farther signify Christ's being forsaken both by God and by men, even by his own disciples, and the many dangers and sufferings he underwent. The Jews write, that this goat was carried to the mountain called Azazel, whence the goat is so called, # Lev 16:10. and that there he was cast down headlong. By Wesley

If you put the verse in the search box, it will pull up the chapter and highlight your scripture in yellow. Then you can scroll down to the Commentary Box to read a scholars comment.

    Page 2.

    d. to those that then require the keeping of the Sabbath as mandatory even for Christians, does the disobedience to this Law then translate to sin & what then is the result? In other words, is there hope of salvation for the 'Christian' who refuses to recognize the Sabbath Day? Is our salvation dependent on the Cross plus the keeping of the Sabbath?

    e. However, is it possible to keep the Sabbath, indeed the whole Law as one would so be bound to, & not commit the sin of syncretizing the Law of Works & Grace? Would not then the observance of the Sabbath be a sin, as it shows the believer placing himself back under the Law for salvation or to assist in it? So, a Sabbath-keeper is obliged to 'keep the whole Law & if he offends in one point, he is guilty of all (Js 2:10).
