Deborah: one of satans names is Destroyer. Just like he did with Eve, he studies us to see where he can break in; to steal, kill and destroy.

The first step to be truly free is to FORGIVE every person who has hurt you; or that you have hurt. It is you closing the Door that the demons entered. Forgive Yourself. Every time that strongman demon accuses you of unforgiveness; say it again: even a 1000 times till it takes root in your soul and mind. Say it out loud. Heaven and Hell are listening.

This person has opened a door (drugs) so that Satan, or his demons can oppress them. Notice I did not say possess. The war is taking place in your MIND. The mind is talking up a storm or it is calm and settled on Jesus. We don't have to pray Big long inspired prayers. If one just prays "Jesus" out loud...everything in heaven and under heaven, jumps into action. Demons flee and angels surround the person they seek.

Close the doors.

When I was set free from drugs I was DONE with putting things in my mouth that hurt me. I poured out the alcohol, flushed all the pills, and sat on the sofa to be killed by the DT's. (Detox reactions). I waited all day and went to bed exhausted. I felt sure detox would kill me the next day. I waited and waited. Then it dawned in my mind that maybe Jesus had set me free?! Days piled upon days. I began to praise the Lord for setting me Free! I drove by liquor stores and didn't pull in.

Best part is my mind cleared. I slept like a normal person. I gave attention to my family. I was no longer the lone focus of my life. I cooked food and enjoyed it, but did not allow it to be used by demons to destroy my health. They will use anything!! Food got Adam & Eve thrown out of Eden. Pray over everything that goes in your Mouth.

Weeks turn into months into years. The date you started to wait to die is a billboard in the past. Give praise to the Lord for showing you how to be free. Help someone else to get free. Stay free.

Yes, I can attest to that. I too have prayed for mean bosses to be removed, and it happened more than once. They were transferred to a different department. God defends the righteous. Let us continue to stand on his word. He will defend His children.

Pls pray for my daughter. She has such a world view of things going on and just thinks I am wrong and wants to argue and thinks she is right about everything. She is only 26 and think she knows everything now because she went to college and is extremely smart. I am finding myself not talking too much because I don't know what to say anymore. I can't bring up anything that is going on right now because she just tells me that I am wrong. I keep praying for I am getting very sad at her thought process and feeling discouraged.

I recall 1st Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." Being hard headed or argumentative is not the best form of open mindedness. In religion alone, there are thousands of differing views. This shows how troublesome reality can seem. Our conscious awareness is described as having a beginning, a finite mind. As we grow and learn we understand the meaning of infinite, while being able to get a view of it is different from understanding the meaning of the word. This is why I love to go out on a clear night and look at the stars, and the space all around the stars. It is like a teacher to our understanding"

Also, I see a beautiful picture of how the book of Philemon parallels God's grace and mercy. Onesimus, being a runaway slave who had stolen from his master Philemon, and back in those days, if a slave ran away and was caught, they would be put to death. So here is Onesimus who stole from his master Philemon and ran away. But somehow he gets put into prison in Rome, and who does he run into? Paul. They didn't know each other. And so Onesimus hears Paul preaching and teaching the gospel. And Paul is ministering to him, so Onesimus receives Christ and is saved.

And Onesimus tells Paul what he did. He stole from his master and ran away, and that's why he's in Rome. So Paul inquires as to where he's from and he says Colossae. So Paul says I've been to Colossae and I know some people from Colossae. What's the man's name? He says Philemon. And Paul says I know Philemon. He has the church in his home in Colossae.

So it is interesting how God worked all of this. You think you can travel 1,000 miles away so you won't get caught, but God has someone waiting on the other end. How I see the parallel to our salvation is that we have sinned against God (Our master) and the wages of sin is death. But Jesus Christ paid our debt. In Philemon, Onesimus sinned against his master Philemon. But Paul writes to Philemon and says whatever he has stolen from you; whatever the debt is that he owes you, I will repay it back to you myself. What a beautiful picture of grace and mercy!

Chapter 11 thru 14 is so powerful. God will do a thing to make us hear. Then if we don't no amount of sacrifice will cover us. Terrifying. I am curious about chapter 13. Could this also apply to our nation as well? as people put Satan above all, not individual who believe, but an unsaved millions, and we have been unable to stop it thru the vote because of satanic rebellion, do we bare a certain responsibility,, and therefore are herded into compounds so to speak. Do we accept it as guilt? Failure? Right now our nation is on fire. We now have in the congress, the most evil people. I didn't vote for them. But over the years have I been a Eli that just let things happen. I am not looking for any absolution but desperately trying to understand how we got where we are. I know God has all of it under control. Love God's word.

There is only one place in the bible that specifically gives us the purpose for tongues, and that is 1 Corinthians 14:22. Acts Chapter 2 is a perfect example of the proper use of "tongues." Unfortunately, the church today does not conform to the biblical use of speaking in tongues. Many today are in total violation of 1 Cor. 14:22. The tongues that are being taught today are not the tongues of the bible. The verses you have shared make no mention at all about tongues being the evidence that a believer has received the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.

When a person receives Christ, they receive His Spirit. If we are trusting God's promise to give us His Spirit when we call out to Him to save us, why would we need evidence? Wouldn't seeking for evidence be the same as not trusting God to fulfill His promise to give us His Spirit? If we require evidence of our salvation, then how can we say we have faith? God's promise in Romans 10:13 is that all who call upon Him shall be saved. That is His promise. He gives us His Spirit. Without His Spirit, there is no salvation, and we are given that in Romans 8:9. You mentioned Acts 2:38 which is a great verse to show that those who repent are promised God's Spirit. That is all we are promised to receive. Many people today are being deceived by the teachings on "tongues" which is causing them to doubt their salvation because they are being told that tongues is the evidence of their salvation. There are three point-blank facts about speaking in tongues that the bible gives us.

Number one: It is a known language. Not necessarily known to the person speaking, but it is a human language.

Number two: It is a sign.

Number three: It is to unbelievers, not believers.

GOD dosnt use trickery or. Illusion to frustrate you..nor will HE use devises in lile manner.. To do so in HIS name would only bring HIS wrath on that device... GOD will not be mocked.. HE IS SUPREME

JR Church, (now passed into the Lord's presence) mentioned that each year has a corresponding Psalm beginning with the year Israel again became a nation. Psalm 120 certainly speaks to this year, 2020. The COVID-19 certainly has people world-wide distressed. Fake news and falsehoods seem to be rampant so it is difficult to discern truth from error. Those who seek peace are under threat from all sides both of removing individual human rights as well as the Saber rattling of conflicts and International wars. Israel, and Jews world-wide are experiencing much anti-Semitic sentiment and in many instances, outright attack. They are for peace, but the nations surrounding them are for war and are on a quest to wipe Israel off the world map. So, Psalm 120 is definitely prophetic for this year! It is time, like the psalmist says, to call on the Lord, because He does hear! Notice that the Psalm is stated in the present tense rather than referencing the past. Psalm 120 definitely is a word of prophecy and admonition for the present!

did you ever wonder in the back of your mind why this book is in the bible? Gary stearns (prophecy today) teaches it's a picture of the useless servant coming to Christ and going back to his master as profitable. Like the body of christ going home to be used by God,

Sin nature or fallen DNA passed upon all creation which is why we needed a redeemer or savior.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

So much unrest going on. Just like Revelations shows. God warned us. Mankind and the evilness will destroy now what we once knew. Today l look at all the creations God put for us. He always wanted the best for us. Mankind destroyed it. God is a Mighty God. He takes and takes mankinds greed of me me me. The Evil laughs when we destroy it. God gets angry. I always have wrote about how He put the Earth for us because His Love is so Strong. I know. I had a after death. Saw Heaven. Saw Jesus and His Father. Saw the book of Life. Saw his Strong Light of Love for us. I would never hurt Him. I came back to show others His Love. Did not want too come back. But they had me doing something in the end days. I had a Destiny I had to do. I felt Hell going back down the tunnel. Beware all of you that don't have God in your Life. Beware....in these days. Everyday now is not your own. That virus that started this is going to come back worse then ever. Wars..space travel. Comets from the sky...weather as never before...will take everyone by surprise. You will be controlled more and more. Food...gas...where you go..how you had your freedom will silently close in on you. Seek every day your families and friends -and what you do -to the fullest. I still all believers to experience the infilling of the HolyGhost by the evidence of speaking with other tongues Tongues are your evidence that God has put His Spirit within you ( Acts 2:4; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:17; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6) I am referring to the outpouring of the HolyGhost that happened in the book of Acts and was prophesied in Joel 2:28. I am not referring to the gift of tongues, one of the nine gifts that Apostle Paul was teaching the Corinthians. I have experienced the infilling of the HolyGhost by the evidence of speaking with other tongues. The church at Corinth were out of order and Paul wrote them to establish order in the church because they were misusing this particular gift. He taught in I Corinthians not only about tongues but communion, the order of creation, etc. Paul did not forbid them from speaking in tongues,but rather that ye prophesy. Tongues edifies the believer, unless he can interpret so that the church can be edified. Prophesy edifies the body of Christ. I certainly agree with you as it relates to the edifying of the church. I have experienced both in my lifetime. The gifts of the Spirit are in the church today and they operate through people. Paul taught on the correct use of them in the church. No, all are not apostles, nor prophets, nor teachers or workers of miracles. But all can receive the gift of the HolyGhost. The HolyGhost allows believers to operate in the capacity that you are referencing. I do not know what churches you visited where people are out of order. But when God is in control, people will be in order. The initial infilling of the HolyGhost was what I was talking about, not necessarily the gift of tongues. Without the gift of the HolyGhost, you won't be using the utilizing the gift of tongues.

That was wonderful to read that you have repented, turned away from sin & a sinful lifestyle & following your Saviour. And that is a great verse you shared in John 14:21. Did you notice the previous verse (v 20)? "ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." There's another verse similar to it: "For ye are dead (i.e. dead to your old life), and your life is hid with Christ in God."( Col 3:3).

One preacher very simply demonstrated this Truth: clench your right fist: that is Jesus Christ keeping you (inside the fist) secure in Himself. Now take your left hand & close it over your right fist: this is Jesus Christ "in My Father". Then the preacher asked, "now tell me where are you?" Of course, the answer is that we are "in Christ & together we are in God", a no greater security & love that we could ever receive.

So the fact is that both your salvation & eternity are secure in Jesus' finished Work at the Cross according to the Father's Plan. Even a "backslider of the worst kind" can find total forgiveness, for there is no sin so great that His Blood cannot cover. "Will you ever find that which you lost?" That is exactly what His Spirit is there to do in you: as you spend time in God's Word, as you pray & seek His Face often, He will become more & more real to you, not just a feeling, but in your daily walk. You will notice how something that has happened was clearly of the Lord's doing, or some Word given to you when you needed it most. And all this will help you to know the Lord more & grow in your faith. I have found that it is of greater worth when I've spent more of my prayer time in praise & worship of God than with other matters. Talk to your Lord of His Wonder & Glory, of His Love & Sacrifice, of the blessings that he has showered upon you.

Lord respond to the cry of this heart calling out to you. Come to him as you did to me. I didn't even know what to pray. All I could say is: Jesus please help me, over and over.

When the name of Jesus is spoken, Ministering angels listen. When the Bible is read out loud, angels hasten to listen; the demons flee.

Trust in Jesus. No matter how bad things seem, if you will call on the Lord, He wills to come to you. Just speak your mind to him.

Lord please make a way when there seems to be none. I am the Way, the Truth, the Life. Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Fear is the opposite of faith. Stand in faith as a family. My grandson loves for me to read 2 or 3 short Psalms from the Bible. He says it makes him feel happy.

Do what draws your family closer. Speak faith only. Praise God for mercy and grace.

I pray God would guide the surgeons hands and hold you In His Hands the whole time.

I ask that ministering spirits surround your family and comfort them and undergird their faith. Fear not, for the Lord prays for all His saints.

I will tell a part of my full testimony. My salvation was akin to Pauls on the Damascus road. Later, after all the getting free from spiritual warfare; I would hear accusations against me in my mind, about sins, hating my ex, having hurtful thoughts; hating myself. People who told me to my face that anyone as bad as I had been could not possibly be saved. I didn't FEEL worthy. I thought I would let Jesus off the "hook". I saw a vision of Him on the cross but it was laying on the ground. I picked up a big rock and started hitting the nails in his hands. He was looking in my eyes ( that were streaming in tears.). Every time I hit him, He said, I Love You. I couldn't hurt Him anymore. I felt his arms around me. I woke.

I gave him all I had ever been or done; all the memories of sin that hurt like a crown of thorns. Maybe it was faith but I asked Him to erase all the memories of sin from me. He did it. Those memories are just gone. Who I had been, was buried.

I had to learn new things, like the joy of my Salvation.

In my experience, the Holy Spirit is not an authoritarian that frowns when we miss the mark, Don't learn faster, don't look like other Christians that seem to have it all figured out. That's not Him. If we give all our preconceived perceptions of Him, TO HIM; He gives us the new Life of a beloved child of God. You can have as much of heaven, NOW, as you give yourself freedom to take. "Taste and see the Goodness of the Lord." YOU are why He went to the Cross. He looked all the way forward 2000 years and saw your face.

Give Him your life (alpha, omega), and you take His Life .... as in cutting a covenant.

Then as His Bride, Song of Solomon 6:3, 7-10; Isaiah 49:14-18, 22:-26, I am the Lord: they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me!

There is no gender in this thought. He is YOUR beloved.

Draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to you. You can have as much love as you are able to hold.

Mike, yes, it is very wrong to pray to the Virgin Mary - in fact she hasn't even been a virgin since the birth of Jesus, since she had many more children ( Mt 12:46-50, 13:55,56 & others).

Jesus alone makes intercession for us ( Rom 8:34) & His Spirit also intercedes on our behalf when we are unable to pray properly, maybe in ignorance ( Rom 8:26). So the whole purpose of prayer, whether in praise & worship or in requesting from the Lord, is to direct our prayer to the Lord only without any other mediator (whether a priest, Mary or another Saint). To do that, means that we have no confidence that our prayers to God will be heard & so we need an intermediary between God & man. Our Intermediary can only & will only be Christ Jesus. To go to another means that we do despite to Christ's Holy & Blessd position with the Father.

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

There is no benefit to pray to Mary. Because she is not God. It is abomination to pray to her.

1st commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:24

Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

It is my prayer that all people will yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. God know the thoughts and intents of our hearts. Nothing is hid from Him and so many have their minds blinded by incorrect perceptions about who God is! God is Love. If we search for Him with all our heart and not for a doctrine to satisfy our own will, we will find HIM, the lover of our soul!

Judgement

In this chapter we see Amos speaking of the judgement of God as it relates to Sin. The truth is that a Holy God must judge sin and this is why Jesus had to come to make a way for you and I to be saved from our sin. In making application we see today many belive God will overlook sin or that my good works will pay for my sins but nothing could further from the Truth. Sin seperates us from a Holy God and Only Those who have been born again are saved from their sin. How about you? Have you been born again? Let us learn from our text today and the warning from Amos that a Holy God will Judge our Sin.
