To say that Jesus is only a created son of God is to misunderstand that OF God is something that never happened before and trintarians don't seem to be able to grasp that .

The argument that Jesus is only a man or like a prophet, of old or Jesus is God in the flesh . Both views are extremely in error . Jesus is the Son of God like no other . God being with him was exhibited in his life death and ressurection .

These to me are men's confused views both wrong or out of balance . Jesus is the Son of God . And if understood very clear and simple .

Hi Christine -- Because the original King James Bible which we are reading here was translated back in 1611, and from the Greek, the word "charitie" may not have quite the same meaning as "charity" today. Today we think of charity mainly as giving to others less fortunate, who need help. But other translations of the Bible both before and after the original King James version translate the Greek word as "love." If you read 1 Corinthians 13 using the word "love," it has a broader and deeper meaning. Love includes charity, but is more profound, especially when we consider that our human love is but part of God's love. No matter what we do, if we don't do it with love, we haven't done it fully, and in the end we're not left with much. Everything else will pass away, but love is eternal. Of faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is love. (verse 13.) As for your helping your friend, it sounds to me like your help was coming from a place of love. Are you sure that your friend meant her message the way you understood it? Was she saying that she would value your friendship even without your help? Sometimes these messages need to be straightened out. Psychology gets involved. Maybe she was feeling guilty for accepting your help. Maybe a longer discussion with her would help straighten it all out. And it also sounds like a Bible-study group might be of great use to you as far as Biblical meaning is concerned. Reading the Bible can be daunting. Is there a church that might have a Bible-study group that they have put on-line that you might attend, and that you might attend in person after the pandemic?

Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:19-21

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the "HOUR" OF temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them which dwell upon the earth. You noticed the Lord said he will keep them from the "HOUR", Meaning time of temptation? Now don't that parallel with 1st Thessalonians 5:9?. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Now i have heard it said that all saints would have to go through the tribulation for purification, Doesn't that render Christ blood shed on the cross inadequate? I thought we were washed, I thought we were hid in Christ, I thought we were sanctified in Christ, why is there need for such purification? what about the saints who has already died in Christ? THE prophets, the Apostles, ect.. I thought Christ was smitten once for our sins, if we were baptised into Christ at conversion,. If we are the body of Christ and going to appointed to wrath wouldn't that be like smitten him again? In Isaiah 53:11 He says: He shall see of the travail of his soul, and be satisfied. Were not appointed to wrath.

I agree with you my brother. By your response, I know that you are genuine..back to the "Parable of the sower" the right seed planted in the wrong ground never produces anything and as such will not yield any fruit. Hearts must be good ground and receptive to receive the benefit of the word. Jesus taught using real life examples to teach...for example he said over and over, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like." I believe that one of the ways that we can show that Jesus is also a Father is to look at our own family relationships, beginning with Adam, the father of Seth, the father of Noah, the father of Shem....the father of Terah, the father of Abraham, the father of Isacc, the father of Israel. The title of father is being handed down through generations even in our own families. Christ is Father to us who believe in him that he is not just the Son but has also inherited the title of Father...we are called his little children because we are begotten of him through his blood through the lineage of King David who is our father too. Jesus is Son of God and Son of Man.

Another example is that God called the first man and woman Adam which means earth ( Gen 5:3). Adam (male) was the one to name Adam his wife (female) eve. Because they are our foreparents all of humanity is called "earth"...besides read John 10:34-38 and Psalm 82:1-6. Those who are born of God the Psalmist says are gods. Jesus said, "I and the Father are one" ( John 10:30-33; Deuteronomy 6:4; Philippians 2:6).

Jesus also called the church his bride so we are also one with him.

Any title of God is inherited by Christ who is the begotten of the Father ( Psalm 2:7; Hebrews 5:5). Our children refer to us as father and mother although we ourselves call out parents the same...I hope this helps.

    Hi Norman,

I think if Jesus came today and performed a bunch of miracles people still wouldn't believe. Perhaps even a fewer % today would believe than the % that believed in Jesus's time. We have a society that wants to believe what it wants to believe, not based on what is evident or true. Some believe their arbitrary feelings determine 'my truth,' or that truth is relative.

Many non-believers have spiritual and supernatural experiences today and that doesn't automatically mean they believe in God. Some even have stories of dying and talking to their dead relatives and coming back to life- some choose to believe after that, but some don't.

So, I think most do not have an intellectual block to believing, but an emotional block.

Romans 1:20 says that God's design is so evident that everyone is without excuse to believe. There's nothing that makes our heart beat right now. Only God is keeping us alive. That's God's amazing design, but yeah, others would have you believe that it's likely that a random explosion from nothing which has never been witnessed and can never be recreated created this amazing design with countless advanced features that the smartest minds on earth can't comprehend. It takes more faith to believe in accidental design than in God's intentional design, yet people don't want to believe in God because they are afraid of giving up their lifestyle of sin, so they do mental gymnastics to arrive at their desired belief. This is what I mean by an emotional block.

What I believe about salvation is this. It's like what my pastor said, which you can look him on YouTube or Facebook, Bryce Vandiver, unless you live in Granbury then go visit Bible Baptist Church in Granbury on Wednesday nights and Sunday morning s at 10 An Sunday school, 11 AM morning service and 2pm in the afternoons and 7pm on Wednesday nights, but it's like he said that we can not earn our way into heaven by our good works. I believe when I was a sinner that The Holy Spirit, God, or Jesus told me I wasn't saved and I believed I wasn't and came to Christ. Then, as a newborn baby in Him, I wanted to do everything Godly and righteous. I do believe there is no such thing as a second chance, but I do believe God gives us so many opportunities to accept His son and then there comes one last opportunity that He speaks to our hearts and we either take it or don't. I can say I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but it doesn't mean anything unless on purpose I act on faith by saying what I believe. The scriptures says It is by faith through grace we are saved. But it also says to be a doer and not hearer only. Now, we are not perfect because we are not God, but I believe we should try to make ammends with God and the people we have failed. And people we love fail us too. So let's forgive, forget, move ahead and remember God is judge.

Satan is the Devil's name. Jesus stated this. Lux Ferro is the word in Isaiah 14:12 that the translations of the KJV used out of the Latin Vulgate to get Lucifer. They were wrong and the world has spread this mistranslation of Moring Star into Lucifer aka the Devil for over 400 years. I knew the truth in 1978 when I began researching Morning Star and did not find the Devil but rather the planet Venus. I have a Doctorate in Theology and no good translation has Lucifer in the translation or the word Hell since the Bible was assembled in the 400's and the word Hell did not exist until 705 AD in Germany and Old England and its meaning is a hidden place.

When I pray, it is "Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus". There is one God. Not 3 persons. We must know our God & obey the gospel. "Hear 0 Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord". When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God & that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power.

Victor, that is a wonderful story! He preformed a miracle on me one time that no one on earth would have know I needed and he did it 5 min. I am not just some old man that is talking out of his head either I hung up the phone and prayed to God to help me and in 5 min I called back and everything I asked for was fixed and after that I could feel his presents in my bed room at night and it was the most wonderful feeling I have ever had so my friends he is real! He fixed a serious problem for me in 5 min and I will never forget it!

That is something that I just cannot understand why so many people believe this world evolved and not created by God? This world is so complex and all it takes for me is to just look at it and the Sun. This world has millions of very complex creatures including billions of humans that are different and the Sun has burned at the correct temp. to keep everything on Earth alive and has never ever ran out of fuel!! Never even ran low every since the day it was created so tell me how many things that burn never run out of fuel, non of them they all have to have fuel but the Sun!! Just take a good look at it and if you do not see it was created by God then I am sorry for you. God created the Heavens and the Earth and I so hope I will get to go to Heaven forever and ever! Amen and thank you Jesus and thank you God!!

@Valerie Although your comment was 7 years ago, I still feel the need to point out that I don't see any message in this phrase saying that you CAN'T forgive your spouse. It's simply just stating the only reason you COULD divorce, is because of cheating. Which is 100% understandable.

I have a question that I cannot get a answer to and have been trying for a long time. How could the people see Jesus raise people from the dead, heal people right in front of them that they knew was sick, preform miracles right in front of there faces like raise people from the dead and walk on water. My question is why did people still not believe in him when they saw all this right in front of them and knew for sure he did it because they knew the people for a long long time. If I saw him walk on water and preform a miracle on one of my friends that is all it would take for me to believe in him! So what do you all think? Love you Jesus Amen

Comments by Alex about the Words of our Lord. Addressed to Bill, We cannot make void the Words of our lord Bill by using scriptures that are out of context with what our lord said. Remember our Lord said John baptised you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G. AND FIRE and our God is a consuming fire that is gona consume our old adamic nature . The FLESH And Jesus also said i come to bring FIRE on the earth impling on man which is symbolic of the earth ,the 1st man was of the earth earthly as our God is a consuming fire . Our Flesh is our carnal mind which is in rank with Satan . Thats what is gona be consumed. Remember it was the foreskin ( the flesh ) only that was cast into the fire. The FLESH IS OUR HEARTS thats y he wants to give us a new heart and a new spirit, its the result of his Words which are his Seeds that are gona be sown in our hearts . Bill you are not understanding what JESUS said Every sinner will have their part in the lake of fire, not a maybe but a must simply b/c every man carries the stain and the spot of adam no exceptions thus every man will be baptised with the FIRE of the H.G. and it cannot be negated no matter how religious you are. or how BIG A CHURCH YOU ATTEND. Shame on you bill trying to negate the words of our lord . That lake of fire is for every body , there is not anybody too good for the lake of fire. Our God is a consuming fire but our God is also LOVE. If ya can hear it his wraft is simply his LOVE for humanity . Whom the lord loveth he chasens meaning his baptism of the H.G AND FIRE BUT ITS A GOOD FIRE SIMPLY B/C ITS HIS LOVE .God so loved the world etc. Bill you asked if any souls are lost for eternity and the answer is all adamic natures which are in rank with Satan are lost for ever.its only satan and his angels that are gona be lost for Eternity, Ya remember it was only the forskin that was cast into the fire lost for ever but not the man made in the image of God. ok lemme go.....love ya Bill gbu

Andrew, "The idea of an eternal soul is not Biblical. "- Not so. "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." John 5:28&29 Every soul has an eternal destination.

"But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: and have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust."Acts24:14&15 Paul has an expectation/hope, as he understood the law and prophets, to teach also. An eternal state for all souls IS biblical.

Sadly, No. Her heart was still there in Sodom, in spite of the wickedness of that city. She might have physically turned around, but her heart was already on the way back to be at her home, with her people & her friends. But if you're thinking whether her spirit would still be saved in the day of reckoning, that remains in God's domain of judgement. It would be like the coming time of Great Tribulation, a Day of God's Wrath on disobedient mankind: the chance to escape will not be the passion of most, preferring the desire of the flesh & of life itself, rather than desiring the salvation of God.
  • Chris - In Reply on 1 John 1 - 5 years ago
You're right Brandon, I could do everything possible for my son to be like me in character, spiritual awareness & direction in life & even if I succeeded, he would still always be my son, a separate human being in his own right.

But one cannot hold to such thinking of God, compelling Him to replicate or be confined to the limitations & humanness of our minds & ways. He is the One from Whom it was written that He could create out of stones, children unto Abraham ( Luke 3:8). If we think in human terms, then yes, Jesus is only a (created) Son of God. If we abide by the Scriptures, then Jesus Who is the Image of the Invisible God, is more than a 'spittin image' of the Father - He has the very Image, Character, Essence of God's Holiness & Being, of the Father, having proceeded from Him. And that is why John 1:1-14 becomes a very difficult passage for non-trinitarians, because they can never give another explanation to it, as its declaration is abundantly clear: the Word that came from God became flesh. And apart from Jesus, I don't think that those verses could apply to any other.
