Sam you are correct the Bible does not say anything about a female ruler.

There is a heresy running around that the Holy Spirit is female called the SHEkinah or the glory of God.

The word SHEkinah is nowhere in the Bible. So they claim God the Father and the Holy Spirit had a child the Son of God.

The King James clearly calls the Holy Spirit HE

John 16:13 Howbeit when HE he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE he will guide you into all truth: for HE he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever HE he shall hear, that shall HE he speak: and HE he will shew you things to come.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, HE he shall testify of me:

My research as to where this female spirit thing comes from is those involved in the so called "Hebrew roots" movement that claims the King James Bible is mistranslated by pagan Greeks and is generally anti-Semitic in nature.

They are the ones pushing the Yeshua instead of Jesus name.

The main group that I can find with this SHEkinah thing is the Chabad Lubavitch group that claim they are practicing Judaism. Their main book is the Zohar, not the scriptures. The follow what is called Kabbalah which came from Babylon.

The Hollywood celebs, like Madonna, wear red strings to ward off evil spirits are into this stuff.

Look into this everyone I am not making this up. This is who many claim to be the chosen people.

Chabad Lubavitch Kabbalah followers are the ones wearing the black clothes with the curls of hair hanging down.

Greetings Victor, there are two types of rewards. one for the righteous and another for the unrighteous.

    2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the REWARD reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

Writing of Judas Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. (his pieces of silver for betraying Christ)

2 Timothy 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

This is not a good reward.

Then there are the rewards for the just in faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Jesus speaks in Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Greetings Victor, The Law when mentioned in the new testament generally refers to the first five books of the Bible attributed to Moses. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. This is where the ten commandments are found.

The prophets were the (major in size) writings of those like Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc.

The Minor (in size) prophets were those like Amos, Jonah, Micah, etc.

Someone asked Jesus what was the most important or great commandment.

Matthew 22:36 - Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Mat 22:37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mat 22:38 - This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39 - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 22:40 - On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.

In other words if you keep the two commandments you keep them all.

Well that and believing that Jesus is Christ

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

  • Jesse - In Reply on Ruth 1:22 - 5 years ago
    Adam,

Until you can differentiate between human love/human faith, and the faith/love that the bible speaks of, we probably are not going to agree with each other on this one. What I am trying to tell you is that the faith and love that the bible speaks of is produced only by God's Spirit. No matter how hard we try, we cannot produce that type of faith or that type of love. So when we are volunteering to love God, or if our faith is voluntary, God will not accept that because it's not of His Spirit, but of our own human effort. You can call it free will if you want, but it doesn't change the fact that it is you doing it out of your own human effort, volunteering to love God. And He will not accept that. I think if my children were to tell me that they were volunteering to love me, that would be heartbreaking. To me, that wouldn't be genuine love. I'm just trying to help you out here!
  • Adam - In Reply on Ruth 1:22 - 5 years ago
Hi Jesse, we don't believe the same things. I believe everyone, including Christians, has freewill and there's lots of Biblical support for that like Joshua 24:15, Psalm 119:30. Freewill = voluntary choice. People have the freewill to choose to follow Jesus or not. So, yes our faith and love to God is voluntary. This is why Jesus gave so many warnings and parables about the gate being narrow going to heaven and wide the gate going to destruction. It's why Jesus kept challenging people to avoid sin, to obey and why he said this: John 14:15. If we were predestined robots with no freewill then Jesus likely wouldn't say all that. Instead he'd say everyone is free to do whatever, because it doesn't matter, sin is ok because everyone is going to heaven anyway, but obviously that's not the message. Satan wants everyone to think they don't need to take any action at all as a Christian, but just do nothing. But a Christian is literally a Christ-follower, and following is an action requiring movement in Jesus's direction. The more I read the Bible and the more I pray to God asking for wisdom and understanding in the scriptures the more He reinforces this truth. I'm already aware that some Christians don't believe this and I'm already aware of the points used for that view and I believe its unbiblical. God bless.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Ruth 1:22 - 5 years ago
    Adam,

Do you think that God will accept our faith and love toward Him if it's voluntary faith and love? If I volunteer to put my faith in God and I volunteer to love God, that's not the faith and love that the bible speaks of. To volunteer to do something takes human effort, and I don't believe that our human effort pleases God at all. Do you know that there are two types of faith, and two types of love? God only accepts one of the two. If we volunteer to love Him and volunteer to put our faith in Him, He's not going to accept that one.

Revelations 12:5 says that a Male child will be born and rule all nations with a rod of iron which is eternal. Where in the bible does it state that God will rule the world as a woman?

Clearly this chapter is often misinterpreted. He is not upset that they were not bringing their tithes of money, He was upset that they were not giving him his PRAISE. Clearl;y its stated that they have turned away from God, this was not about money, it was about acknowledgement of the Glory and Mercy of God. Yet, we continue to preach it all wrong.

God wrote a whole chapter from Ezekiel 13 about the biggest lie that has ever been told to the people and the biggest liar is coming that will stand up in Jerusalem claiming he is God so beware. Now in that chapter its speaking of prophets/ preachers whom out of their own minds dream up Devine thinking leaving out God's Devine thoughts an thinking and they, the preachers that God hates came up with the lie to fly to save your soul but to this day I cannot figure out why people listen to preachers who teach the rapture lie. Always Study the KJV and not the Books that say birds that fly. Oh, get an old Strong's concordance.

I believe God wants us to not stay away from sinners or unbelievers because we need to tell them of the goodness of Jesus but he don't want us believers to hang out and do what sinners do. Once we have been born again and live a life of holiness Jesus don't want us to go back to our old ways and habits we have to stay from amongst wrong doings because we are different now and we suppose to let our light shine to others so we can draw them to Christ

what does it mean: "They have their reward."

    it repeats three times.
  • Adam - In Reply on Ruth 1:22 - 5 years ago
Hi Carlos, just because God is self sufficient doesn't mean He can't make stuff if He wants. He also doesn't owe us an explanation for WHY, nor are we entitled to know. However, He already said He made us for his glory in Isaiah 43:7.

In my personal, unproven, and non-biblical opinion, I think we were made for His glory and enjoyment and that when we voluntarily with free will and faith choose to Love God and obey Him that it is a pleasure to Him. Perhaps it's like being a parent and if your kids voluntarily tell you they love you and you 100% know it's real, that you didn't coerce them to say that, and that they're not a puppet or robot under your own control. God didn't make robots. It's more meaningful if people voluntarily choose to love.

Your other point was does God have a need to feel good about Himself? Probably not, but doing something that feels good doesn't automatically mean you're insecure about it or NEED it.

The Bible does indicate God does have human-like emotions/feelings, however, like Deuteronomy 32:16. And we're made in His likeness, which may include feelings.

David had complete trust in his creator and came to know him as a young shepherd boy protecting him from the elements and wild animals. But he came to know him as his heavenly father Jehovah God or Yaweh. When he fought Goliath he asked a prayer for accuracy and strength. I read the psalm 23 often and meditate on it's powerful message and David's trust in his heavenly father. What ever translation you read from enjoy the hope that you gain during the times we face during lockdown and stressful situations. Keep safe and read your Bible..

That's a nice question. That's an important question. And, not to take away from previous replies because they are great responses, but to try to be helpful, since you asked a simple yet very important question I hope to give a direct answer. We are saved not by works, not by anything we do. But, by Faith that Jesus is God's son. And, Faith that God is our creator. So, if you know, without seeing, and you trust that Jesus is your brother, King and Saviour., then you're saved. But we do see examples all the time. Just acknowledge them and say Thank you.

The only works we really need to do, is working on ourselves to be as Jesus teaches. When we work on ourselves we then reflect better who God wants us to become. We'll slip and backslide and when we do, we'll feel ashamed and guilt and like we let Jesus down and we'll repent. We won't abuse Grace and we won't say Grace is a free pass to be a jerk.

Jesus says to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and I struggle with that. I screw up 40-50 times a day in my head, with judging, and selfish thoughts. I'm saved because Jesus loves me and you and even those we don't like I have Trust in that, and when I read Revelations it's not scary to me. I don't dread it. For me, it's a slow growth. But, I'm not the same as I used to be. Because God has pulled me from my "pits." God and Jesus did something we couldn't do. Or, wouldn't do. Keep reading, keep asking questions, and think about the answers, don't be swayed by a person's personal agenda. Jesus came from Heaven to find you (us). He wants us to be with him. Which is sometimes hard to believe because we know how rotten we are. We can quote the bible with spiritual vanity, but it's not by our hands but by Faith and Trust in what Jesus did for us in living and dying and rising for us. And, Faith in God's plan for the World. The World, of past people, current people and for people not even born. It's overwhelming and crazy sounding. But, that's Faith that it's true.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Ruth 1:22 - 5 years ago
    Carlos,

Are you asking this because you honestly do not know the answer? Or, are you asking for a different reason or motive? I have nothing more to add other than He created all things for His glory. That's about as deep as I feel comfortable going.

The type of mourning exhibited by Jephthah, his daughter, and her friends could not be over her virginity. There were others in scripture who remained virgins and did not mourn. Paul and Daniel, for example. Verse 39 is also very clearly states "At the end of two months, she returned to her father, and he kept the vow he had made about her." HCSB. A vow cannot be burned. The verse clearly references "it" to be his daughter by the saying "about her."

comments by Alex, Christ didn't come thru the seed of any man thats y it had to be a virgin birth,Jesus was simply the Word ( GOD ) made flesh and blood NOT the written word made flesh and blood but the living word made flesh and blood.Mary was not impregnated by the written word but by the living WORD, GOD ALMIGHTY WAS HIS ABSOLUTE FATHER, Thats y David said its the LORD DOING and is precious in our eyes,Had jesus come thru some mans seed he wd have to be bornagain of an incorruptible seed. But he was not defiled by any mans seed as he said outta of the hearts of MAN proceeds all manner of Evil. And its the things that come from the hearts that defiles a MAN . What think ye of Christ whos Seed is he, they replied Davids seed, But Jesus replied if David calls him Lord how can he be his seed ( his son ). The REASON he always refers to himself as the SON OF MAN IS MANKIND will have to birth a Baby Christ which is the H.G. Mankind has to bring forth fruit unto God which is the H.G. THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE WORD/SPIRIT IS SPIRIT. TH H.G. is a Living being, our new innerman, that new creature that has to be born in us via his seed th word which is spirit. THATS th only way the kingdom can come is via his seed th word We are gonna birth a baby Christ th H.G. THAT CHILD OF Promise Unless ya receive the kingdom as a lil child etc.Thats y the scrip is saying My lil children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you thus he is truly the son of man, mankinds fruit unto to God via that good seed. Zech. calls him our 1st born our only son, Smite the shephard and the sheep will be scattered then i will turn my hand to the lil ones his offspring th babes and sucklings, spirits. Th Israel of God that are gonna be born in us via his seed. Thats y he loved that Son of Man title, Th Church is gonna have a baby Christ,Unless ya receive the kingdom as a lil Child. She brought forth a man Child. Will follow after the spirit. For every person in the world there are sins that tempt. The key is to follow after the spirit. When the lust of sin comes knocking at the door don't answer it. Watch a good movie, listen to Christian radio, listen to some nice Christian music like the Gaithers, Larnelle Harris, Big Daddy Weaver, and Keith Green has some wonderful music from his era. Call a good friend or a prayer line. The key is to follow Christ because he is the resurrection and the life. He is the hope of Resurrection.this means eternal life in a beautiful paradise with mountains and trees and streams and animals and the presence of precious believers do out history. It's well worth the sacrifice I've seen this not healthy for you anyways.
