Hi Alex; After reading what you wrote I agree that there is a spiritual Israel, the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 2:29 all Christians are circumcised in their hearts and are Jews, meaning all people regardless of color or nationality, male or female, we are now the heirs of the promises of Abraham. Galatians 3:29 However, I do not agree that God has or ever will have a grandson, The Holy Ghost is God in the doctrine of the godhead Colossians 2:9 and all Christians are his children, not his grand children.
  • Dr. Lyle Lee - In Reply on Galatians 4 - 4 years ago
Hi Rick; by your response you have led me to believe you think as Christians we should practice the Ten Commandments in stone, this of course would be bondage, as Christians are now commanded to obey the Ten Commandments in the heart according to Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:6-13 This old law of God had an expiry date according to the Lord Jesus who taught it would expire as soon as he fulfilled it. Matthew 5:18 The question should be asked, when did he fulfill it? The answer is then given in Luke 16:16 by the time of John the Baptist, as it would expire at that time. Today the Ten Commandments in stone is dead. Romans 7:4 and 7:6-7 We are now commanded to keep the new covenant which is the Ten Commandments written in the heart where there is no Sabbath or generational curses.

@ Brother Philip praise God for your comment. If people would just take the time to read the verses.

    Matthews 24

    38. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

[Who were eating and drinking? The unrighteousness!]

    39. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

[Verse 38 clearly identifies the subject as the unrighteous. Verse 39 continues with the main subject (the unrighteous) being taken away.

Here is the Basic English translation:

And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of man.

    - Basic English Bible

    New International Version

and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

[Obviously Noah knew about the impending danger so it must be referring to the unrighteous being taken away.]

Finally re-examine Matthews 13, the good seeds and the rates.

Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."

37 He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels,

and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend,

    [Gather out the bad]

    and those who practice lawlessness,

42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

It's the unrighteous that are taken away.

    God bless all of you!

Unfortunately, Rick, these wicked people know more of us and the power we exercise through the Holy spirit by prayer and intercession than many believers know about them. May we be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

Rey, have you read my 2 posts today? I was wakened with The Book of Joel in my face.

Everyone all over this planet is suffering, afraid, maybe billions homeless, children included.

Your mercy has to include everyone. God has given You, one to help. I was in street ministry and we must know PRACTICALLY, where to take someone to get help.

There are ministries in place, to help the displaced. Call a church and see if you can get information for people who need help. Call them all. Call your city government and ask for info.

Some people like me donate funds to organizations that help the homeless. At times I've driven people to where the help is.

Complaining is just a lot of hot air if they are NOT helping in the problems directly. Most Catholic Churches have feeding or grocery ministries. Let's make some donations to those who are actually doing something. God sees our hearts. It's not good to be stingy.

If you think my response is callous, then look at some of those youtube sites I listed. Most all of those disasters happened This Year!

The nation of Philippines was almost wiped out the past 2 days. 500 thousand homes destroyed to the ground. A million+ displaced.

Help your friend. If God brings us ONE to care for, then He will repay you personally for being available. If not for 30 years of street ministry, I wouldn't know these things. Jesus said the poor will always be with us. (I know he was speaking of the Bridegroom).

Everyone needs to rethink their criticisms about outreach ministries. I know of street preachers who have included Feeding the homeless to their resume. An offering is OVER the Tithe; an offering to the Lord. He's going to repay: money, healing, favor at work. Have some Faith. Take care of His lambs.

Breathing flames and scriptures helps no one, if they're starving and cold, homeless. Let's Dig Into Our Pockets. Turn to "The Church". Make some calls today. I pray for God to direct you and bless you.

yep, David, you are right. There is no one like our God, NO ONE. We have such a privilege of approaching the Father through Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit. To know that all Persons of the Godhead live as One unified Being whom all three have worked salvation on our behalf is a great comfort. Knowing that we have a Father who knows us and loves us intimately through Jesus, His Son, by the work of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, is one of the greatest truths of all time. God did not make us and then just leave us to ourselves. He had a plan and a purpose set before all time to rbing to Himself a people redeemed from start to finish by and for Him. Hallelujah!
  • GiGi - In Reply - 4 years ago
Thanks, Mishael. I do not take these too personally. As I always do when someone seems to be doing so I always wish to examine myself and see if there is merit to what they say and pray for God to reveal to me if I ma erring or sinning. I am one who sincerely wants to so and say what is good and right and best regardless of the situation. I do appreciate you reaching out. And, you are right-we are to pray for one another and think the best of others intentions and spiritual walk with our Lord.

I realize I am new to this site and I am beginning to understand the "culture" more and more as time goes on and the more I post and read what is posted. I can say that I think, in regards to many who have responded to me, I am somewhat of an "outlier". But even, so, I came to this to read and study the Bible in this translation since I have read it from a handful of other translations over the years. I did not know there was a comment section when I started. So, with that said, I do think that the Lord led me here for a reason, and commenting here is part of that, as well as being a discerning and good "listener" to others who post. I appreciate what others have to say. I am one who loves vigorous conversation about spiritual things. It makes us stronger believers and more solid in our faith and doctrines. It also fills us with awe of God, how He is so gracious to us to "bend" low to help us little, teensy creations of His in comparison to His limitless vastness, power, wisdom, and authority. Praise be to Him who calls us "His beloved"!

David R. Longerbeam In the context of this great Epistle of Ephesians is written to the faithful in Christ Jesus

who endeavor to walk by the spirit as much as is in them to do and walk in the great Agapeo or renewed mind

love of God. God can only give spiritual wisdom and revealed knowledge of His Son as we walk in that love of

God in Christ because it is literally revealed knowledge given by God through Christ who lives in us. As we put

the scriptures on in the mind and walk in that faith of Christ he shows us more and more spiritually as needed.

look at Ephesians 3:16-21 and have some inspirational fun. Look at the amount of Times IN Christ is used in

This epistle that's how God views us spiritually. Ephesians 1:3 we have already been blessed with all spiritual

blessings in heavenlies, that gets the spiritual blood pumping. As believers in His Eyes were spiritually perfect!

    S. Spencer Amen brother without holy Spirit we would be as lost as everybody else without God and

without Hope but we have the hope of Christ return and are energized daily by our new Nature in Him.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Dear Spencer,

Just so you know, I am not venting and I do not think others are either when they speak sincerely about the vaccine or the national issues facing us in our present times. These are all legitimate concerns that have a place on a site like this because they affect us and the work of Christ in our nation, communities, families, and friends. We should be prayerful and specifically name and explain our concerns so people can join with us to pray for such things just as people submit prayer requests for other matters, such as world disasters, or personal ones that so many have experienced and seek prayer for. It seems I touched a nerve with some on this topic. That may be, but also, those who it may have should also understand that they can just as easily strike a nerve in me or anyone else on here by what they post. I don't believe in "chilling" of free speech on a forum such as this. I think we should be charitable and, as you say, conscious of what is put forth. I think I have done that, and I think that of others, too. We all have our sensitivities and it isn't really for us to know what they are on a site like this unless the administration spells it out for us. It is for the Spirit to lead and guide us in our conversation. I am one that can engage in what some would call "strong" conversation. That is not good or bad. It just should be Spirit led and engaged in prayerfully. I fully understand that many on here have been posting for far longer than I. That does not delegitimize my ideas. I also fully understand that many on here do not like to read such "strong" comments. I am not trying to insult nor convince anyone. I just feel that it is really good for people to hear strong, reasoned responses on this site. It stretches us and helps us grow and seek to go to other sources to find out more of what someone may have stated. That is my take on this. You may agree or disagree. I am good with that. The word says to "speak the truth in love" and I do.
  • Rick - In Reply - 4 years ago
    S. Spencer We believers need to keep in mind that we live in The Age of grace but its like the Apostle Paul

says in 1 Corinthians 4:3 this is mans day Paul didn't judge Himself or count mans judgement. That's why on

the court systems judgements are being made way off Gods Word because its man's judgement or man's day.

But like you shared we focus on Christ and Gods word to keep above it all in the new man nature.

Spencer, thank you so much for what your response. I understand your point of view. the "they" I was referring to are anyone who is using racism to pay back white people for past racism. It isn't right to do that anymore than it was right for whites to use racism to mistreat anyone who is not white. I am not singling out any one group here, I am talking about the evil of racism, no matter who it is targeting. And people who are abreast of the current culture and news knows the problem we are having in these recent years with a racism that is promoted and supported by many in the news and politics. this is what I am referring to. I hope that clears up that for you.

We do live in a sinful, vile, unloving, world that is turned against God and all of His goodness, except that those wo revile God and His ways, expect that people should treat them the way God calls us to treat people. As Christians, we are to reject such hypocritical expectations and instead live godly and uprightly in all so that we do not spread disrepute on the work and word of God.

As to my asking you why you seemed oppositional to the discussion of one topic on Officer Chauvin and not so to the discussion of Officer Potts, since you have intimated that it was not correct to speak of one but did not say it was also not correct to speak of the other. It seemed inconsistent to me. I appreciate that you responded to me, however, you really did not answer this part of post, I believe. I respect if you do not wish to. We can move on. God bless.
  • WHAT IS GOING ON__Mishael - 4 years ago
Peace be upon us all. Jesus is involved in all of our troubles, as darkness falls upon these Last Days.

I know in our humanity, no one wants to face the reality of the what's coming upon earth. This morning the Lord gave me Joel 1 and 2.

In the midst of this time in earth history, we should draw closer to Jesus (who intercedes for us 24/7). He is our Salvation, through and from these events. USE His wisdom to get to a safe place. Ask Him for what you Need.

God creates, out of a state of Chaos. He can do that now. The ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION must take place. 1 Thessalonians 5:4. That hasn't happened yet. Keep an eye on it, and be prayerful till it happens. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as Jesus SAID. It wasn't a suggestion.

They are surrounded by enemies! Who are shooting at them. If you are unconcerned about events that must take place, don't watch and pray; you will be likened to the 10 Virgins Parable, JESUS taught. It's NOT a pretty story to be left behind.

Meanwhile, keep your eyes on Matthew 24 and Luke 21. We will be here on earth until the Abomination. Because of the disaster signs, BE WISE as the 5 Virgins who were READY, prepared.

I've dragged up 22 times, and moved 1-3 bedroom homes; for safety sake and go where good jobs are abundant. Be willing to do that if where you live now, becomes a dry well. If your "well" dries up, or your "bush"_be willing to follow The Holy Spirits LEAD. He and Jesus are our lifeline.

How often have I told us to WATCH news relevant to Bible prophesies? Prophesies DO NOT disappear until THEY ARE FULFILLED. Bottom line. On YouTube, type: world disasters this week. Seeing is Believing.

Do not be afraid. Just prepare to go with Jesus. This is not a call to DOOMSDAY PREP. Watch and pray. Help those with weak faith. Jesus is WORTH anything we have to endure! He is going to scoop us up and take us to Heaven. A REAL PLACE already prepared for us, with homes. No evil, no suffering.

Revelation 1:15 is repeated in Daniel 10:6, how is that possible? Is Daniel referring to Jesus Christ or another angel?
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi GIGI.

I've been enjoying family and took time away from my email. But in response to your question.

I wasn't agreeing to the posting, I agreed that there should be no partiality when the world judges. That is why I consciously said ' I believe everything he said on (THAT THREAD).

    I also said-

My quote: But that is the world that we are called out of!!

It's he that is behind the scenes and our wicked flesh where the problem lies.

    Ephesians 6:12.

We are to be a light and a workman to lead people out of darkness.

    2 Corinthians 4:6.

I've seen this darkness up close and experienced it in several Churches.

Do you expect the world to act any other way? There has to be a new birth and baptism of the Holyspirit,

A new nature given, A New heart of flesh,

THERE HAS TO BE THE DEATH OF THE OLD MAN WHO'S MARRIED TO THE WORLD.

IF WE TRUST IN CHRIST WE WERE BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH, THAT'S THE OLD MAN. ONE WHO FAILED TO COME TO THE LORD PRESENTING THE WORKS OF THE FLESH. TWICE DEAD,

    But as for us.

    Ephesians 2:1-6.

    End quote.

My point was we're no better than them apart from the Holyspirit.

Here's why I took issue with your post.

Here is a direct copy of a portion of your post that bothers me.

    Now quoting:

It is truly sad that racism is so injected into these situations. It has always been wrong to racially mistreat people and it still is. However, I fear that those who are presently dominating the racism today feel justified since

"they are turning the racism back on white people and the police,"

    End quote.

Who's the "THEY" you are referring to? You sound a little partial and bias when it comes to certain groups!

The thing is Some of the "THEY" you are referring to is Christian too. And been on this site every day and far longer than you. I am sure we prayed for a many of them.

If they ask for prayer, they see it as much more than just a site we vent on. They see God's people gathered!

That's why I said we should be careful in what we entertain.

    God bless.

'"not attempting to gain converts to "my" church ect but merely pointing out what is within the pages of the same bibles we all own kjv in my case most bibles read the same only in the amplified version does acts 2;38 read and be baptized everyone of you "because of the forgiveness of your sins" in that version its too easy see it takes away the reason for baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and turns it ito not as a requirement to the obedient but turns it into an afterrhought, an addition to the forgiveness we have already recieved some other way, i would assume the sinners prayer, something else the sincere, the honest, those humbly seeking the Lords will, will admit is not found in the Bible either. i love believers, and want all of us to believe the same thing ,thats the bible, when we can see the bible, really see it, it becomes an adventure, no longer to we have to skip over gobs and gobs of scripture because somwhere someone very sharp at talking convinced us its "history" there actually is: you ready? ONLY ONE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IN THE BIBLE. if i were allowed yes i would put my phone number here, not to find people to argue with but to teach, i love to teach and i know there are many many wise and prayerful believers out there GOD bless you for this bible site

it always amazes me how, a vast majority of people who claim to have faith in Jesus but are scared to death to interpret the bible in the way its actualy written, oh they do understand the written english language but choose to make the bible echo their own preconcieved ideas . for instance why in the above commentary 37-41 the commentater states that people were baptized to openly avow their belief in Jesus, but it reads; Repent and be baptized evertone of you, in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of Sins, not to openly show our belief in Jesus, but as a direct means of having our sins forgiven, this is to point out how it actual reads and what it means acts;2;38 that this is what it means the apostle paul, who wrote 13 of our new testament books openly shows us in his own words in acts 22;16 and now, why tarriests thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. we all have a free will and can choose to live by the dogmas and teachings of any particular church we may attend, but in a public forum, if we comment on the bible it must be done openly and honestly, while leaving our own attitudes and what we wish the bible actualy said out of it. who among us wants to go to heaven? a repented person wants to obey the word of God without adding to it or taking away from it by trying to change its meaning ,God is not astone standing by saying oh yes he words it much better than i ever could, here is TRUTH. you know why this happens? because most christians dont even realize they are not christians at all, when did Jesus or any of his Apostles ever tell anyone to accept him as their personal savior? its a basic question of is that in the bible or not? we are on a bible site now, try finding that version of the Gospel. Its all over the bible not just like in 13 conversions in the book of acts but Romsns 6 colossions 2 galatians 3 me? i want to go to heaven, Gods way, because how will we talk our way out of it before him ?

Reynaldo Never said that you had no dignity or intelligence I just stated the root of our problems is the

unbelief of Gods Word we are surrounded by or influenced by in the world. I myself grew up very poor so

to a degree I'm speaking from experience. Jesus Christ Himself said the poor and hungry you will always

have because he knew how the world worked. So the root problem is man's disbelief.
