That's good that you are seeking the truth in the scriptures. You may consider praying and asking God for wisdom in regards to your questions.

The topic of Jesus and God has been frequently discussed in these forums. You can probably find them by doing an advanced search for those keywords.

If I understand one of your questions correct its if Jesus is God how why did He pray to Himself? And how can you be separate, but one at the same time? I think these questions conflate a few things. In our world we don't have anything similar to what is described in the Bible and try to make sense of it in human terms, but unfortunately in attempting to do so, often the truth of God's Word is then distorted and can turn into false teaching. Basically, I put my trust in God's word and believe what it says. I believe what it says instead of what a human being says. If someone preaches something other than what it says, I don't believe them.

1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

How "one" are they and how "three" are they? We don't know, but it says the three are one so I believe it. If a man says the "three are three" that is untrue, because that's not what Bible says. If a man says "only one is one" and the other two are not "one", that is also untrue, because that's not what the Bible says.

Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image"

"Let us" is plural, more than one.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

"The Word was God."

It says Jesus is the Word in verse 14, so the Bible says Jesus is God.

If it says it then I choose to believe it, even though I don't 100% comprehend how the 3 is 1 and 1 is 3 simultaneously.

When people die That is a teaching given to emphasize a point that if people aren't going to believe scripture from the living they won't believe from the dead. Look at context.

How am I supposed to read the Bible and what am I supposed to do with all the times that Jesus speaks to God his father, or praise to him in the garden, or what about when they're all present at the same time? I don't claim to have all knowledge and wisdom. But what about the times Jesus refers to himself in the third person? Why does he do that?

LUKE: 16: 19-31

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

This story shows that the rich man is conscious, can feel pain, thirst and terror for, still alive; unsaved friends and relatives.

We can miss those who've passed on. We can voice our feelings to them, forgive them for hurting us; or us hurting them. They're not going to hear us.

I know that confusion is of the devil. And I have been feeling somewhat confused since I started attending a Pentecostal of oneness Jesus only church. I am a Trinitarian who didn't have a problem with my doctrine but apparently they do. I believe in God the father from the Bible I believe in Jesus Christ from the Bible I believe in the Holy Spirit from the Bible I believe that Jesus was with God in the beginning created all things I'm not positive whether Jesus Christ is God and is the Holy Spirit. That's why my questions sound crazy. Why would God do that to us? Why wouldn't he just be Jesus from the start if there were no others?

According to John Chapter 1, John was already baptizing people down at the Jordan River and preaching the coming of Messiah before Jesus came on the scene. John would have entered his ministry shortly before Jesus. Jesus' ministry began shortly after John's. Both began their ministries at the age of 30. According to Jewish law, a person could not go into the ministry until they reached that age.

So John introduces Jesus as the Messiah. John did not know that Jesus was the Messiah even though they were relatives. They probably did not know each other even though they were relatives because John's parents were elderly, and once they died, John was taken care of by the Essenes, a very Pharisaical group that lived out in the wilderness. John lived out in the wilderness his whole life.

When Jesus comes for the second time in battle array with his armies and fights that battle WHO is taking care of the rest of the universe? Nobody? Or God the father?

And also, when the new Jerusalem comes down and people that are saved dwell there with Jesus, and Him being the light of that city, what is outside the city? or is there anything outside the city?

Is this when Jesus becomes just one Jesus? No more God the Father?no Holy Spirit ? etc. am I making any sense?

It's good to ask questions I firmly believe that. I also believe it it's OK to ask God questions.

I always kind of just believe that we know in part and we prophesy in part and we're seeing through a glass darkly so basically I translate that to myself as God only allowed us to know certain things right now because it's very clear that the world and the spirit beings in the world and the human spirits in the world would take that information and use it against fight God and try to conquer the entire universe and beyond and kick God off his throne which will never happen . So why would he give us all the information of the universe.?. It makes total sense to me that he would hide some things from us and not give us wisdom in those areas

We can't talk to them or anything else they are dead. Taking it further is not profitable in any category

There is a Documentary on Amazon ("BEFORE THE WRATH"), which everyone should watch. It shows the Galilean Wedding Tradition:

A man and woman are engaged, like Joseph and Mary.

Like Christ and His Church at the Last Supper.

They are called "Husband" and "Wife" NOT "Fiances" as we do today.

They share a meal and the Man goes to his father's house, to build an extension in which he and his wife will live.

Then, he goes to his Wife's house, to take her to his Father's House.

But he does not know when that will be. Only the Husband's Father knows, in the Galillean Wedding Tradition.

So at the Last Supper, when Jesus says to the Apostles:

" In My Father's House, there are many Mansions. . . . . I go to prepare a place for you.

I will come back and take you to be with Me."

the Apostles understood that very well, since they were all from Gallilee and at least St. Peter was married,

since his Mother-in-Law is mentioned in the Bible.

So when Atheists make fun of the Apostles for believing in the VISIBLE Second Coming of Christ, in their

lifetimes, they misinterpret Scripture.

The Atheists say:

"Look, that never happened in the Apostles Lifetimes,

so it never will!"



The Apostles were looking forward to the RAPTURE of the Church, NOT the Visible Second Coming of Christ!

In 33 AD, after Jesus Ascended into Heaven, the Rapture COULD have happened in 34 AD or 534 AD!

NO prophecies need to be fulfilled for the Rapture to happen, back then or tomorrow, as we celebrate Christmas

Eve with our Atheist friends and Relatives!

There could have been 2,000 years between the Rapture and the visible 2nd Coming!

Johns starting time of ministry? he was just a few months older than Jesus... His ministry started about age 30... Was John already preaching of Jesus arrival or did he start about the same time as Jesus?

gave the order to take over Jericho in chapter 6:17+18 not to take the accursed things. In Chapter 7 one man

in Israel took 1 Item Idolatrous and until they got rid of it Israel paid by losing Gods protection until they got

rid of it and the Entire family that brought it and stoned and burned them then we read chapter 7:26 and they

raised a heap of stones over it and the lord turned His wrath away from Israel. Bottom line is endeavor not to

get involved with idolatrous practices in any way shape or form. Sincerity is no Guarantee for Spiritual Truth

Ryan, in your First paragraph you said a word hindering, and hindering is a demon. It has a buddy named harassing they travel together. I need you to consider these verses in Matthew 12, spoken by Jesus.

When we are born again, we are cleansed inside brain to feet and all between. No matter what happens you__are the child of THE KING. You need to begin living like one.

Matthew 12

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house (YOU) from whence I came out; and when he is come, he finds it (YOU) empty, swept, and garnished.

45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself SEVEN other SPIRITS more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation (these last days).

Don't freak out. This happened to me. The Holy Spirit walked me THROUGH this trial. Write down these names that will come to your mind. The battleground is in the mind. THEY don't want you to read and BELIEVE the Bible. They want you to start doubting Jesus and yourself, your salvation.

Ephesians 6: they're invisible; but they have personalities as I said. The Holy Spirit will reveal the names. Don't be fearful; it has friends. Put on your helmet of salvation, the breastplate of Jesus's righteousness, gird up for battle, all pieces. The SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, is the scriptures you learn from the Bible.

"In the name of Jesus, and by his dominion and and power, I take AUTHORITY over your attack (speak out the names you've identified)

and send you to dry places in outer darkness, to wander until The Day."

Hi Marlo. The accepted canon of Scriptures does not speak of 'praying for the dead', but those who do believe in praying for the departed, generally appeal to the apocryphal book, 2 Maccabees 12:36-45.

If you look at that passage (you can see those books here on this Site), you will not only read of an instance of praying for the dead but also about offering of some silver as a sin offering. I hope you will see the extreme error of this belief & action, as once a person passes away from this life, there remains no further chance to correct past sins & errors. And only the Blood of Christ can make full payment for forgiving mankind's sins & no money, self-mutilation or prayers can ever add to that great Sacrifice. Please be careful if you are entertaining such thoughts or beliefs in your mind & be careful when reading those apocryphal books.
