I am not as knowledgeable on our Lord Jesus Christ as I would like to be, but even as a child I understood that Jesus our Lord was in fact God himself. Besides, anyone who would twist the truth of the bible around for their own purposes, is no better than religious heads in Jesus 's time.

  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 26:1 - 10 years ago
It was always God 's plan to come to the earth as Jesus and save his people. This is proven by what we read in Isaiah 26, verse 1. 'Listen to them singing! In that day the whole land of Judah will sing this song, 'Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of his salvation. ' This is the missing knowledge in today 's Christian churches. The very God they knew would come and save them they have rejected. This is proven by their refusual to call him God, and their refusal to pray to him as God. They misuse various Scriptures to try to prove that our God told us not to pray to him, or to worship him. But the disciples didn 't. Thomas called Jesus MY LORD AND MY GOD. Paul called Jesus GOD OUR SAVIOR. Stephen prayed using these words, 'Lord Jesus, receive my Spirit ... Lord, don 't charge them with this sn! ' Do you see the point! I will say this plainly. Unless us confess that Jesus is the Lord, meaning that Jesus is our God, we cannot be saved. May God bless you!

I believe this clearly states that we wil be taken before the tribulation .God does not pour His wrath out on His people,as the Bible states plainly. " For God hath not appointed us to wrath.. "

The best!!! I am a strong man! so I thought. People have consistently let me down but God never has. So often I find my self caught up in the things situations that people create and even sometimes that I create I am a work in progress not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but I do try. Anyway, This read is just what I need today and every day.

I agree completely with Wesley s notes It amazes me how even after God shows His wonderful mercy to the wicked they still refuse to change their ways Even after surviving wrecks disease gun wounds etc they go right back to the life they were living refusing to give God the praise and changing their hearts and turning back to Jesus
  • Sheree on Isaiah 26 - 10 years ago

  • Raymond on Colossians 3:15 - 10 years ago
Peace is one of the benefits of being members of the body of Christ.IN HIM we have peace( John 16:33).Jesus does not give us peace as the world does. His peace is not absence of tribulation. It is about not being afraid of or troubled by tribulation. It only comes when we trust God. Isaiah 26:3 says:THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, [WHOSE] MIND [IS] STAYED [ON THEE]: BECAUSE HE TRUSTETH IN THEE.
  • Joshua Apalsch on Isaiah 26 - 10 years ago
God is all powerful , he has unlimited power he will save the righteous. When we are in trouble he saves us with his saving strength of his right hand.
  • Toni on Isaiah 26:9 - 10 years ago
This is an individual matter. Each person must come to that place where they want to seek the Lord, and won't stop until they find Him. "Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. ( Isaiah 55:6)When we rise up in the morning our hearts should be on God...when we go to sleep at night, we should meditate in His word... David said to mediate in God's law day and night. Those who stay in the Word of God and keep their minds on Him, God promises to keep that person in "perfect peace whose mind in stayed" on Him. Who will escape the wrath of God? Those washed and covered in the blood of His Son Jesus.

Verse ten is really interesting. We really want to go to Heaven but are not keen on forming a character that would make us fit there.Clearly there wont be cigarettes, alcohol or such things there. I would be so uncomfortable there if am an addict. Let's start living heaven's life while still here on earth.

    Amazingly true.
  • Niyi Amuda on Isaiah 26:9 - 11 years ago
Isaiah 26:9 shows to the Believer how to pattern his life. What do I mean by that? King David wrote that he desired GOD in the night, how many of us do that? Rather what most Believer desire at night these days is a large foam to sleep all night. True Believers like King David understand that the night is quiet and is a good time to seek the LORD, he (David) also sought the Lord early in the morning, how many Believers today still keep a quiet time with the Sweet Holy Spirit? May God help us. Amen.
  • Isaac ochano on Isaiah 26:9 - 11 years ago
One thing I learnt in Isaiah 26:9 was that man needs to seek the face of God perpetually, hearing from God, trusting Him above our wealth and materialism.
  • Clarence on Isaiah 26:3 - 12 years ago
God put this scripture in my mind when I was experiencing some really frightening episodes with my heart about twenty years ago. He calmed my mind with this scripture; I woke up reciting it, though I couldn't remember ever reading it. I have found it to be a solid truth in an unstable world. Peace is not the abscence of conflict but God's calm assurance in the middle of life's storms.
  • Lehlohonolo Samuel Ramaele on Isaiah 26 - 13 years ago
I teaches people who are still worshiping the dead/ ancestors to stop slaughtering animals because the lamb of GOD was slaughtered in golgotha. When your grandmother who died years ago come to you and say that she is in cold and needs water, that is not your grandmother but it is a demon in the form of your grandmother.
  • Carl Daubenspeck on Isaiah 26:3 - 13 years ago
Isaiah 26:3 is a verse to strengthen the weak in spirit and to provide confidence in God's Word. The Creator God, having created the Universe and all that is in it has given His decree through Isaiah that He will be the strong tower and and necessary refuge for those who contemplate on Him and seek Him always in all things.
