Confess your sins to the LORD and ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Ask the LORD to increase your faith and to stablish your heart and mind by His infinite power. Pray without ceasing and stay in His Word. I will pray for you and always remember the LORD JESUS is absolutely faithful! God bless you! 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    John touches on the Light that lights every man. A place of truth in every man's being. A place where God alone can dwell. A place that is prepared when through repentance, man can experience the new birth and come into fellowship with his creator. How beautifully depicted.

    1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come and even now already is it in the world. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

  • Cynthia Scott on John 1 - 9 years ago
    John was faithful unto God. He could have grown weary while waiting on Jesus to come; however he never gave up. He continued to pave the way for Jesus. We as Christians today should do the same. We are so quick to give up when we don't get a quick answer to our prayers. Praise God for forgiveness and his Love!

    open question; I'm looking for an answer to this contradiction;
    John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
    Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
    is Peter reducing the LORD Jesus to mere man, equal to himself?

    1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

    It is written... John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. Matthew 24: 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

    I like John 1 confirms the prophecy of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Then here comes Simon who Jesus calls "Stone". Then Nathaniel Jesus says He saw him under the fig tree. My words may not be articulate but i truly believe we have been called specifically out of darkness into Light with the Father.

    Lynn, it is fact that God forgives truly repented people that have been through a divorce evidenced by the beginning of this chapter Nu. 30:9 says, "But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, where with they have bound her that souls, shall stand against her". That's more true now we are under a better agreement because John 1:17 say, "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ ". Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Amen.
