God doesn't want us to get worried but to make our request known to Him through prayer and supplication. if we do this then his immeasurable peace shall be with us. Christians should think good thoughts:true, honest, just, pure,of good reports. if this is hard then we believe in Him that he gives us power to do so. John 1:12

The WORD of God was made flesh, anyone receiving the Word, receives God. The Lord Jesus words are Spirit and they are Life. The seed-word was spoken into the womb of the virgin and the only begotten from the Father was born. This child conceived in Mary was of the Holy Spirit, thus being the Father, God is Spirit and is Holy. God spoke and creation started, the scripture does not say in the beginning the Father created but God said, the WORD spoken created. Ps.33:6..... We beheld His Glory in the Son, there was no eternal Son but the Only Begotten Son from the eternal Word....Who's Kingdom there is no end...

Mathew 6:33 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you and 3 John 1:2 "Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prosoers" are some of the scriptures relating to the True long lasting Prosperity that comes from the Lord Jesus along. Worldly prosperity/richness do not last if there is no God in it. Sad but TRUE

(Verse 15) "So since God's grace has set us free from the law, does this mean we can go on sinning?" It is basic and fundamental that we believe that Jesus is God. John 1:1:"... And the Word was God." John 8:24: "For unless you believe that I am who I say I am, you will die in your sins." This is so because it is the death of Jesus as God that sets us free. Paul makes this plain in 1 Timothy 2:3 when he referrs to Jesus as "God our Savior."

That is why good preaching is important. Because if we do not tell the people the truth, they will never know the real Jesus, and never come to salvation!

Oh I forgot to tell JOE V. about confession in verse 32 of Matthew 10. Perhaps this scripture will help ( I Timothy 2:5) also read ( Hebrews 4:12-16) ( I John 1:9). As for as verse 32 is concern I think here He's talking about our personal witness as a follower of Jesus Christ; we should be bold in our witness, and never ashamed of our true confession as a born again believer in our Lord Jesus Christ Amen? hope this helps. Love You with the Love of Christ!

  • Rev. Autrey on Isaiah 45 - 11 years ago
In this verse God says, "Look unto me, and be ye saved." It is translated in another translation, "Let all the world look to me for salvation." But isn't Jesus the one who saves us? This means that Jesus is the way God saves us.
Then, the Father does not save us, nor does the Holy Spirit.

This makes sense when we realize that these are the personalities or persons of God, with each doing a specific job. Peter said it this way. "For Jesus is referred to in the Scriptures, where it says' 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the conerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to same them.' It makes sense then that if the name of Jesus is the only name to be called on to be saved, then we must direct our prayers to God through the personality of God who bears this name.

Listen to this prayer by the early saints. "O Sovereign Lord, creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. ...( Acts 4:24) Isn't Jesus the one who is the creator of everything there is? John 1:3 says that he is! "He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him...."

    O' that we may understand!

It is very refreshing to read the word of God in early English, I wonder if people knew Jesus is a German name and really not considered English
  • Rev. Autrey on Jude 1:14 - 11 years ago
Jude was the brother of Jesus, and this is what he said about him. "Look, the Lord (Jesus) is coming with thousands of his holy ones. He will bring the people of the world to judgment. He will convict the ungodly of all the evil things they have done in rebellion and of all the insults that godless sinners have spoken against him. Earlier he said of the angels that "God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness waiting for the day of judgment." This proves that Jesus and God are the same. Because it is Jesus, as God, who comes and judge the world.

It means further that Jesus cannot be a being less than God, or a being separate from God as many claim he is. This false teaching started early in Christianity, and continues until this day. Satan knows that if we lower Jesus to a subordinate position, we can't be saved.

Even the Jews of Jesus' day knew that only God can forgive sin. And since Jesus claimed to have such power, it was his way of saying that he was God. One of the most famous verses in the Bible supports this point: "... And the Word (Jesus) was God ( John 1:1). Another famous verse is Philippians 2:11: "... Jesus is Lord (God). ..." This verse concludes with "to the Glory of God the Father." This only means that there is another personality in God besides Jesus-the Holy Spirit is the third.
  • Rev. Autrey on Genesis 1:1 - 11 years ago
This verse says that God created the heavens and the earth. John 1:3 says that Jesus created everything there is. We must conclude, then, that Jesus is God.

What we are talking about is self identity or persona. God has 3 personas: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus, then, is the persona or personality through whom God interacts with the human race. The Father is the personality by which God directs his affairs. And the Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe in what is taking place.

The trouble is, we tend to think of God as a composite, made up of 3 separate parts combined into one. But this is not so. If it were, then at one time there wpuld have been 3 Gods. This is what the pagans believe.

The one God is 3 distinct persons or selves. This is what the Bible teaches and what we must believe. Let's say it this way, The same God who is Jesus, is the same God who is the Father and the Holy Spirit. This is how Jesus can say that if you have seen me you have seen the Father. In other words, they along with the Holy Spirit, are the same God.

But the bottom line is: Jesus is the way God deals with us, and always will be!

The Law is what gives us our rights. If someone knocks out your tooth you have the right under the law to take their tooth out. If someone pokes out your eye the law gives you the right to poke out theirs. Rom 8:3 tells us that the law is weak because it has no power to save a person from hell. However under grace we have power, The power to not press charges. Grace not only forgives but it gives a gift on top. Christ not only forgave us our sins but he also gave us salvation.

This is the picture of heaven on earth "thy kingdom come, thy will be done." Daddy has always promised the promise land, and His word still is true. He never lies, He wants to see who will fight in this kingdom to rule and reign with Him.

This is a kingdom where there is peace, and joy, and love like Timothy stated. Daddy has always had this plan, and it brought through a child, name Yeshua (Jesus Christ of Nazareth). We are to be like small children coming to Him, so that He may impart Yahveh's (God)wisdom, revelation, truth, and righteousness into us by the Word spoken ( John 1:1),to those who believe. Do you believe?
  • Rev. Autrey on Philippians 2 - 11 years ago
"Who being in the form of God" is another way of saying that Jesus is God ( John 1:1). What I mean is, if he is not God, then it would not make any difference if we have his mind in us or not. Some mind in us, other than God's mind is useless and of no consequence. That is, only the mind of God is perfect and and able to guide us into all truth!
  • Eld. Glen Stuart on John 1 - 11 years ago
Always keep in mind that Stephen saw God and the Son at the same time as he was being stoned. We don't have to have full understanding of the Trinity, but to simply accept what scripture tells us.

( John 1:1)Personality or person is mental makeup, how one thinks of himself. Sports figures are famous for doing this. They think of themselves in a certain way, then they act it out. Professional wrestlers call it acting out your persona. We can say it this way, God thinks Jesus, God talks Jesus, God does Jesus, and he says, "I am Jesus."
  • Rev. Autrey on John 1 - 11 years ago
About the person of Jesus, your person or is who you are. Today we use the word personality. This makes Jesus God's personality. The other personality of God mentioned in this verse is the Father.

Early church fathers used the word "persona" to describe God's person or personality. They were thinking in terms of the specific roles or characters God plays as he works out our salvation. In this sense they saw God as playing 3 specific roles or characters: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

This is what Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist said about the mission of his son: "Praise the LORD, the GOD OF ISRAEL, for he has visited his people and redeemed them. ...Now we will be saved from our enemies. ...And you, my little son, will te called the prophet of THE MOST HIGH, because you will prepare the way of the LORD (GOD). ... His wife Elizebeth said to Mary, "What an honor this is, that the mother of MY LORD (GOD) should visit me. ...You are blessed because you believed that THE LORD (GOD) whould do what he said."
  • Rev. Autrey on John 1 - 11 years ago
Speaking about the advent of Jesus into the world, Isaiah says this in chapter 40: "Listen! I hear the voice of someone shouting, "Make a highway for the LORD through the wilderness, make a straight smooth road through the desert for our GOD. ...Yes, the SOVEREIGN LORD is coming in all his glorious power. ...He will lead his flock like a shepherd." What could be more clearer. Then in Isaiah 9:6 he say: "For unto us a child is born, a son is given to us. ...His name shall be called ... THE MIGHTY GOD and THE EVERLASTING FATHER. ...

Yes, this is what the prophet said about Jesus!

Do you believe the prophets or men?
