Virginia G. Cantu, Actually you've got it right, important part "GOD hates evil". Proverbs 3:32, Ecclesiastes 12:14. He also will direct us, & sometimes even give us insight into His plans. Psalms 73:24, Matthew 6:6, Deuteronomy 29:29, Psalms 91:1, Daniel 2, Daniel was given the secret dream the ruler had & the interpretation meaning. Amos 3:7,

Kind of! We refer to the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three in one. For example: I am a daughter, I am a mother and I am a wife. Three in one. In no way am I comparing myself, but it's easier sometimes to think of in everyday terms. God the Son (Jesus) always was, but God the Father sent Him to Earth so that we might be saved and have eternal life.
There is a phrase I heard while travelling: "Same, but Different"
This might explain the seemingly paradoxical relationship of the trinity or Godhead. Exactly how much the same are they and exactly how different are they? We don't know, we're only humans with limited capacity to comprehend this and no Earthly experience with this relationship. We only know what God's word says...
1 John 5:7
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
1 Kings 8:60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Isaiah 9:6
John 10:38
"...the Father is in me, and I in him."
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
1 John 5:20
"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."

1 Timothy 1:1 "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;"
Dear "Ray", the best thing you can do for you and yours is to read and understand this yourself. If you do not have any references that strengthen their/your statements, there are no firm rules that can come and they mislead and seduce. It doesn't matter who they are. That will only cause confusion. Scripture came first to the Jews. Romans 11:16-24 Moses received the 10 commandments. Deuteronomy Chapter 5. You can read all this here on the web or if you have a Bible at home. If you want to understand more, Genesis is a good place to start. It is basic. Personally, I do not dispute any of the books, or any of the stories in the Holy Script. Psalms 91:11
The best thing for everyone is to read the King James Version. It is absolutely the best understanding translation. An example is: You have probably been to the library and taken a book out of one of the shelves. It seems interesting, but when you open it and read a sentence, you don't understand a single word. The mind is unable to understand what the author wants to say. And other times your eyes run over the sheets and they register everything and you understand everything. Look and you will find, knock and it will open up for you. Pray to the Lord Jesus if you can get revelations and understanding, You can ask for anything, for example that you pray to get a new spirit so that you understand lies. It's good to have with you today. All people who confess Jesus as Lord are from God. Romans 10:9 Fillipians 2:11 Amen. In Jesus name, love u in Christ.
O LORD God father i thank you this evening and night your my favorite songs and sweet dreams I pray for you and my neighbors friends hospital prisoner and my heart life job and family children's father mathar and heal me to know your love like i love you with all my heart and my neighbors friends family straight up your hands on what I mension in my ways I pray in Jesus Almighty God bless me Amen
GOD is our protector from harm ,no matter what may come our way. We must Praise and serve the Lord all the days of our life while we are here on earth and eternity, Thank GOD FOR JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR. Thank you LORD. Amen
QJohn 16:12-3 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Galatians 1:3-5. All I can tell us is thismemorize your KJV Bible. Save as many as your love one's. Be patient. Listen more and speak less. Love your spouse deeply. Grow in grace and true charity 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. The time is at hand. We will see more changes and mark this day. Watch carefully. Revelation 3:2-3. There is a spiritual message in Job 20:1-29. Be careful for nothing Philippians 4:6. Hebrews 10:31, but Revelation 21:8. I comfort you with these 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. As you walk in the Spirit of God, Proverbs 23:4-5. Those who are in Spirit understand Psalm 90:10 read the whole chapter. Our meditation be Psalms 91:1:16 memorize and our prayers today be Psalms 55:1-23. Peace.
When I was sick a year ago I memorized Psalms 91:1-16. God immediately put me back on my feet. Glory to God. Twice I was close to death, but God let me live to do His will on earth. My son was once lost, but I showed him my deepest love. Next thing I know he tells me "I love you" every conversation. Everyday I sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying..in my own created tune Revelation 15:3-4. Recently realized Psalms 37 applies to current events. I am down on my knees praising and glorifying God and thankful for people like you on this site. We all have individual family issues and sometimes overwhelmed, but rest assured God will always be on your side. I experienced God's presence at a very young age. My testimony to you is that you seek Him first and be saved 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and The Holy Spirit will never leave you. Claim the power of God and do whatever it takes to do God's will. His will is complete and all written in the most important book on earth which we all called the Bible. Rejoice evermore!
Gerry this is a metaphor . Birds , usually the females but some males also , will shield their young under their outspread wings . This may be done to protect them from the very hot sun or to keep the chicks warm or to shield them from the sight of flying predators that can easily snatch up a young chick . The Bible is full of metaphors that often pertain to farming or wildlife . This is because the people of the time would understand these metaphors quickly and easily as they often lived lives around farming and livestock . Many of us are not knowledgeable about these things any more as we live city based lives .
You're correct Gerry, Almighty God doesn't have wings. But we do see instances of this metaphor being used, as in Psalm 91:1-4. We see it Psalm 17:8, Psalm 36:7, Psalm 61:4, Psalm 63:7 (Psalms of David); Deuteronomy 32:11,12; Malachi 4:2; and maybe others.
As you look at these references, you will notice how the writers viewed the all-shadowing, all-protecting God over them. They might have considered the eagle gliding onto her nest with outstretched wings, and then when another bird of prey appeared to attempt an attack on the young, the mother eagle covered them with her wings - for protection & to keep them out of view. For that time in history, I think that the eagle represented a wonderful metaphor of God's concern & care to those who feared Him.
Are you saved now? Have you been born of God's Spirit? If so, who are you trusting in as far as your salvation is concerned? Are you trusting in Jesus Christ, the one who saved you and has promised to never leave you? Or, are you trusting in yourself to keep yourself saved (Works based salvation)?
Growing Up Our Faith every Day__mishael - In Reply on Psalms 91 - 2 years ago
Faithfully open up the Bible daily and obey Gods will for us. It is the Word of God that washes us of worldly attitudes and acts. Jesus called to His disciples to, FOLLOW ME. That's what we are to do.
The New Testament should be our daily focus. That is what helps us to follow in Jesus's footsteps. We all are aware when we commit sins against His known will for our lives as Christ followers. You won't feel like it, but just repent in prayer, leave it at the cross. It's a daily cleansing. A lifestyle of prayer will keep us on the right path, because we are conscious of our good deeds and the "not Like Christ" deeds. Walk in forgiveness. Bring glory to Jesus Name.
We can ask God for help when warfare against our Christian walk, is bombarded daily by satans agents. I ask for angelic protection when I need help. God has given us everything we need to walk like Jesus did. We just have to learn what that means, and then use that knowledge in our daily lives.
If we get to thinking we don't have to pray, because we did in the past; that's not scriptural. Our lives are measured one day at a time. So "thankful prayers" are to remind us we are blessed coming in, and blessed going out. Give Glory to God, because Jesus did. He's worthy to receive glory, honor and praise. We're going to be doing it in heaven_ so start now. :)
It's not a continual drag to give praises to God for the good things we experience. We see the angels of heaven praising God in the Bible.
Society and Media compete to pollute our thinking. To believe Evil is Good, and that God is dead. That Jesus is just a person in a Bible storybook. None is really real.
We resist those thoughts in the Name of Jesus. We praise the day Jesus arose from the grave!! He made it possible for US TO FOLLOW HIM TO HEAVEN TOO.
Help your faith grow bigger, reading the Bible every day at lunch. Eat your food; remember your born again spirit needs food too__the Bible. Grow it up to huge Faith.
Please consider reflecting on: 1 Peter 5:7 and remember whatever is above our heads, is already under the feet of Jesus Christ!

Very respectfully,
As Brother Chris mentioned the eagle represented a wonderful metaphor just like here in John you see a whole chapter of metaphors.
John 15:1-5 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
These metaphors throughout the bible gives us a clear picture of the intent.
God bless.
