The statement "He forgave us all our sins, past, present and future" is not Biblical. I've heard it before but it's not in the Bible. There is a verse stating He died for our "past" sins. If we are faithful in following Him we always have forgiveness if we mess up and confess. Stay humble. To me showing we have a clean slate to live a new life in the Lord. Not living in willful sin thinking Grace shall take effect. If your living in worldly sin Repent. Strive to live Holy not worldly.

Romans 3:24-25 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are PAST, through the forbearance of God;

Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

    God Bless.

    Hi Phil,

Jesus is called "the son of man" to emphasize the fact that he was truly human. There were some in the first century who did not teach this truth.

1 John 4:2-3 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come IN THE FLESH is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come IN THE FLESH is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

Jesus is "the son of man". The Hebrew word "Adam" means, in fact, "man". Thus, Jesus is "the son of man (Adam). He is a descendant of Adam. He had a human mother, Mary, that made that possible.

Galatians 4:4 "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, MADE (BORN) OF A WOMAN, made under the law,"

Romans 1:3-4 "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh (THE SON OF MAN); And declared to be THE SON OF GOD with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Matthew 16:13 "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I THE SON OF MAN am?"

Matthew 16:16 "And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD."

John 10:36 "Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am THE SON OF GOD?"

So, Jesus Christ is thus referred to as both "the son of man" and "the son of God".

    With kind regards.

I'm glad I won't be forgiven on the basis that I have forgiven others. That is Law not Grace. We are now forgiven because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. He forgave us all our sins, past, present and future. That is Grace. Now we forgive because we were forgiven not to gain forgiveness. The Law was given by Moses. God raised up Paul to preach Grace to Gentiles who were - "with out Christ, being ALIENS from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world" Ephesians 2:11-12.

When you read the Bible take note of who it is addressing. We were not told to sacrifice animals, build an ark, keep Jewish holidays, etc. that was under the Law of Moses. We are saved by faith alone. Romans 4:4; Colossians 2:14; Galatians 2:20.

    Hi Michael,

I agree with you on not having to keep the "7th day Sabbath". Another verse I came across tonight to back that is Galatians 4:9-11. I don't know if I understand correctly your statement of "we are commanded the opposite". As I stated, my feeling, that to follow Christ is to be Holy as He is Holy as in 1 Peter 1:14-17, Hebrews 12:14. To strive to keep every day Holy retaining the Lord in us. That following love from a pure heart is what makes God our Father and Christ happy 1 Peter 1:22-23.

To the Ten Commandments. Like I stated I believe they are good and are throughout the NT, as to follow them, though all spread out. Here is one actually discerning it as a commandment of the OT Ephesians 6:1-2. Here are the rest in different places. Romans 1:28-32, Galatians 5:19-21, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Colossians 3:1-10. As you are able to go through all those epistles of the NT and see it notes the same things the Ten Commandments tells to us to stay away from. Even more as some are in the Mitzvot laws. As stated there are a lot that are void though just letting the Spirit guide you, you can see the ones that are moral and righteous.

Love from a pure heart is above all and shall never fail Colossians 3:12-17. Walking in the Spirit producing good fruit for the Lord. To keep us from the temptations and lusts of the flesh which leads to sin. Which no one is perfect and may slip and fall. To be vigilant and confess our sins in prayer they shall be forgiven. Though we are to strive to stay away(repent) from sin in our walk with the Lord to be Holy in this temple He has Blessed us with.

Just to make clear if anyone may perceive I'm stating that "good works" is what saves us. That is not true and not what I'm stating. Though we are called by God through Christ to good works Ephesians 2:10. Showing our faith and newness of life in the Lord. All glory to our Father and Jesus Christ. Amen.

    God Bless you Michael.

It is like Jesus is sitting right beside me (Holy Spirit) opening my eyes to how this is speaking about this present day. Thank the Lord for opening my eyes and heart to the blessed word of our Lord. Thanks be to God for giving His Son to save us in this present time! Pray that the Lord will change the hearts of many.

Romans 1:19-20. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

FOR THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM FROM THE CREATION OF THE WORLD ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, even his eternal power and Godhead; ""so that they are without excuse:""

We're without excuse. Even without having seen him, even if there were no bible, God's creation declares something skillful and divine has happened.

May, 2021...I see our world when I read these verses in Romans. The common folk now even deem this rampant sin, of all types, to be good.

People that I have known and loved since childhood now think I am a "hateful" person because I don't agree with their worldly views which have become more worldly over the decades based upon what the TV says or what their kids learn in college....it is painful to watch.

Danise, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in times past ye (we) walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ephesians 2:3 Among whom ALSO WE ALL had our conversation in times past in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of our flesh and of the mind; and were by NATURE the children of wrath, even as others.

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect; yet NOT THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD, nor of the PRINCES OF THIS WORLD, that come to nought:

1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the WISDOM OF GOD in a mystery, even the hidden WISDOM, which God ORDAINED BEFORE THE WORLD unto OUR glory.

1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Paul said God made him an example to all men. Paul was zealous for killing God's people. When ones appointed time from God comes; GOD WILL CAUSE YOUR WILL TO BECOME HIS WILL just as he did to Paul. WE were all born into IGNORANCE. We ALL killed CHRIST; and whatsoever you are doing to God's children you are doing unto Him.

Ephesians 1:11 .....according to the purpose of HIM who WORKETH ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL...

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (SPIRIT) WHO WORKETH in you BOTH (you and Christ) to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.

Proverbs 16:6 By MERCY and TRUTH iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men DEPART FROM EVIL.

God's works and will; WILL BE DONE.

This goes much deeper than marriage and divorce. These people have no fruit. They have no commitment or love. They make promises, they can't keep. They hate GODs plan and are wanderers like Cain. They were given up on by GOD himself. What an awful thing? No mercy at all. Selfish and self absorbed. If it doesn't benefit them then there's no benefit. A doctor may diagnose them as a narcissist but GOD simply calls them wicked or unrighteousness.
  • Janice E Nichols on Romans 1 - 3 years ago
This writing of the Apostle Paul is so true of today; women working that which is against nature, and men drawn by their lust toward one another. This is a sign of the end time. Those that in their heart knowing what God has ordained for man they look for ways to please themselves not God, because don't believe in God. Searching out ways to stop the mouths of Christians due to the fact it convicts them of sin and seeking others to run with them and do the will of the flesh and walk into Satan's plan for destruction of man kind who was created in the image of God and for His pleasure. Oh how close the day of the Rapture is for those who are looking for His, (Jesus') appearing. Even so come, Lord Jesus...

    Romans 1:22

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

    Ezekiel 34:8

    As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;

    Proverbs 16:22

Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

    Luke 24:25

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

    Proverbs 15:14

The heart of him that hath understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

    Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    Hebrews 3:19

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

    Matthew 13:58

And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

    Hebrews 3:12

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

    Romans 11:30

For as you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy...

    Romans 1:17-28

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made [people], even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE.

Mishael comment: Not making a choice to receive salvation through Jesus; is a choice. Read John 3 carefully.

    Tom,

Although it is very easy to twist the scriptures from our English bibles because English is a very general language and very easy to twist, a person who speaks of a Godhead is not twisting scripture at all. In our English bible, there are many words that have multiple meanings, and that's why we often debate and have disagreements on what the English text actually is saying. We have to keep in mind that what we are reading in our English text is a translation from Greek.

As you say, the word "Godhead" is not found in the bible, at least not in our English bible. But I would argue that Godhead is found in the bible. It is found three times in the King James.

Acts 17:29 says, "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the THEIOS (English translation=GODHEAD) is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Romans 1:20 says, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and THEIOTES (GODHEAD); so that they are without excuse:

Colossians 2:9 says, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the THEOTES (GODHEAD) bodily.

So Godhead is found in the scripture. It's in these three places I just shared with you.

Hello Benito, Likely there have been "evil brutes" for a long time already. I am re-posting a point of a confession of faith from 1632 from Christians that suffered torture and death at the hands of the Roman Church, my children are in part blood decedents of the same.

    14. Of Revenge

"As regards revenge, that is to oppose an enemy with the sword, we believe and confess that tha Lord Christ has forbidden and set aside to His disciples and followers all revenge and retaliation, and commanded them to render to no one evil for evil, or cursing for cursing, but to put the sword into the sheath, or, as the prophets have predicted, to beat the swords into ploughshares. Matthew 5:39 ; Matthew 5:44 ; Romans 12:14 ; 1 Peter 3:9 ; Isaiah 2:4 ; Micah 4:3.

From this we understand that therefore, and according to His example, we must not inflict pain, harm, or sorrow upon anyone, but seek the highest welfare and salvation of all men, and even if necessity requires it, flee for the Lord's sake from one city or country into another, and suffer the spoiling of our goods; that we must not harm anyone, and when smitten, rather turn the other cheek also, than to revenge or retaliate.

And moreover, that we must pray for our enemies, feed and refresh them whenever they are hungry or thirsty, and convince them by well doing, and overcome all ignorance. Romans 12:19-20

Finally, that we must do good and commend ourselves to every man's conscience; and, according to the law of Christ, do unto others that which we would have others do into us". Matthew 7:12

It would not be very loving to stand back and allow some evil brute to savage your precious ones:

    If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? ( Proverbs 24:11-12)

Lilith, according to the LGBTQ crowd, was the third person in the garden of Eden who became Eve's wife when Eve refused Adam. This is complete hogwash, bologna cut off for suckers. When Adam and Eve were created and sent to till the garden of Eden, there was no other beings created and the only world they knew was Eden.

So, if Adam and Eve only had two sons then how did we get here? That answer is simple. Adam and Eve had other son's and daughter's after Cain slew Abel...jealousy. So the answer had to have been more children were born to Adam and Eve. For whatever reason, God chose not to share that with us.
