A "reprobate" mind is someone who has a mindset that can't be reasoned with no matter what. This is a major form of PRIDE. They're going to accept and do their own will no matter what, believe what they want to believe, despite being shown the truth. Basically, rebellious against anybody who opposes their beliefs, especially against our LORD.

The world is lost and they have tried to divert from the truth. People are defending same sex marriages as if it was God's plan. May God help his people to stand firm against it.

Clearly, Paul is speaking as a vessel of God's power & understanding, as he continues throughout chapters 1&2, he is clearly speaking of the way in which the church in Rome has placed men as if on a pedestal, and God's word is secondary to them! He is speaking out on the fact that these religious leaders are basically concealing the the truth to the followers, so as to gain power over them!

verse 18 carries the weight of context here,quote-For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness-. particulary when it says - who hold the truth-- the indictment is that they are not ignorant of the truth of god, eg, the ungodly are not without understanding of who is the creator of -all- things.

Isn't this the exact process that Adam/Eve went through? "When the woman saw". Saw literally means " to advise self", she became vain in her imaginations. Aren't we to "cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God? Seems to me that Adam/Eve represents our spirit/soul .

We've witnessed first hand a supervisor, who grew up in a Christian home, but left to become a Buddhist. He has steadily deteriorated over the course of three years, into a vain, adversarial, iniquitous, self-absorbed passive-aggressive person. He cannot be reasoned with, his mind is now noticeably darkened and filtered by unreality. Itś both astonishing and scary to see.

Building your house is a function of wisdom whether you are a man or a woman. As a matter of fact you can't build anything without some measure of wisdom- and when it comes to the issue of houses or, homes, where there are couples, then of a necessity, the Word of God and dependency on it becomes absolutely important. This particular Scripture, Proverbs 14:1, refers to every wise woman, and therefore it has element of prophesy upon it- and hence it is only for he that believeth. ( John 1:12). However, something about this, is that it won’t happen in a day, neither would it happen in a month or, in a year; for it is a journey of life- and hence a marathon; for the just shall live by faith.( Romans 1:16,17). It demands continual obedience to the law of love. The interesting aspect of it is that, God has committed Himself through His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth to be a shield and a buckler to whosoever dare to trust and honour Him; for great and worthy is He- and His name is holy.

Vs 8 onwards describes the politicians and the culture of today they allowed to be, so accuratly. But we as ordinary Christians are to be blamed most for we were easily bought with easy living. And decietful docrines of the zionist christian movement. A deception I believe ouf Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ himself warned about. That even the elect would be decived. I pray that his grace will not have spewed out, as I deserve to be.

Rom 1:28 says God gave them over to a reprobate mind. If you are given over to something that has a mind, which dead matter doesn't have, then who do you suppose the reprobate mind is? I Cor 5:5 tells you who that reprobate is, for the adulterer there was turned over to the same reprobate mind that Paul is talking about here. And I Tim. 1:20 says the same of Alexander and Hymenaeus.

If Moses had said it, or Matthew, or Mark, or Luke, or John, or finally Paul said it, would it make the verse any less divinely inspired of God, or the rest of the Bible for that matter? I myself have at times found myself at odds with what the Bible says in certain verses and caught myself trying to justify some of the wrong things I’ve done by reinterpreting what I‘ve read. This is wrong. Trying to justify a life style by blotting out, rewording, not agreeing with it, or saying God didn’t directly declare an act to be sinful is also wrong. Plus, calling a life style sinful, is not the same as judging someone. Jesus said in Matthew chapter 7, verse 1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” In John chapter 8, verses 10 & 11. “10 “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?” 11 “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” Jesus called what she was doing sinful without condemnation and told her to stop sinning. Lastly, the woman didn’t try to justify her sinful lifestyle by woefully announcing that everyone else there was just trying to “judge her“.

God is a Creator and he has created us with the ability to understand the creative process that is why we can make a spaceship. In our experiences of creating things know things just don't pop out of thin air so, we are without excuse. To reject God handy work of creation is to hold the truth in unrighteousness see Romans 1:18-25

He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? ( Isaiah 44:20 KJV) the. Same wood used for fuel or to cook with is turned into an idol. What an abomination , instead of feeding on the bread of heaven we feed on near ashes, worshiping creation; the work of our hands rather than the Creator: "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened". Romans 1:21. Let's turn our eyes on Jesus and follow His example when He was tempted: And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matthew 4:9, 10

In response to Valerie's question about Romans 1:28- It Means, those who have no use for the knowledge of God (and His word), were released to their own minds of rejection. Rejecting God's word/truth, so much that they have been left to their own thoughts and creating their own beliefs, (and of those like them)... to the point they have justified the rebellious lifes they live, which is contrary to the word of God.

  • The comandments are not done away with on Romans 1:16 - 11 years ago
Christ came to complete the law not do away with it god said i will make a new covenant with the HOUSE of ISERIAL that he will but the law in them write them on their hearts instead of stone, he even talks about the latter days if the laws are no more than what is the point of repentance? The law is to be written in our hearts not to be forgotten

Thinking about this verse & invisible things & how the athiests like to call Jesus "our invisible friend", there are things that are crucial to our survival that are also invisible like air, wind, heat, gravity, water vapor (dehydration), music, speech, entropy & other things that we know happen. So, God is invisible but reveals himself in other ways. You just have to know him!
