  • Pastor Kingsley Jatt on Ephesians 6:12 - 12 years ago
The world is not a fun fair but a war fair; the day you enlist with Christ, you sign war with the devil. But with the instrumentality of faith through Christ Jesus, you will surely overcome and win the crown. Christ never says there will be no trouble as a child of God but he said he has given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions( the evil ones) and to overcome the power of the enemies and nothing will harm you

Jeremiah's words are as relevant in our lives today as they were then. Those of us far away from home working hard amidst uncertainties it is comforting to know there is a God who knows our end.

  • Bill Philippi on John 1:17 - 12 years ago
How can anyone describe it but with the word wonderful. I review my life and I earned death, but I found grace so much greater than my weakness through the truth that was promised ever since the Garden of Eden was closed off to man and woman, that one would come to bring us, all that will call on his name, back to God. This promise was not understood for thousands of years until Grace and Truth in the human form of Jesus, Eternal God, came to live with fallen man and offered himself a ransom for many. WOW
  • Hayden Smith on Mark 9:29 - 12 years ago
I agree with Les Browns comment.

Also, I suggest we look back to the event. 9 disciples left behind while Jesus took Peter, James and John up the mountain. On there return they find an argument is in full swing. Theologies rendering the authority of the disciples ineffective?

Jesus rebuke is not to be ignored!

Wicked and perverse generation... The word perverse implies that those involved in the attempt to heal and also the pursuing theological debate were more interested in themselves, their reputations and glory than they were in the plight of the boy and his father.
I can hear them judging the boy and the father... Who sinned.
Jesus did not come to condemn but to set the captives free... When the church gets suckered into a cause hunt, we fail to exercise the authority Christ has given.
Judge not lest ye be judged!
Now... Jesus didn't fast... He often prayed, but not for this boy... He didn't upbraid the father for his lack of faith... And Jesus is our example!
The usefulness of fasting is not an increase in our authority, it is useful in reducing us. Getting our religious and theological biases out of the way and turning us towards the work of God... Set the captives free!
  • Nar on John 17 - 12 years ago
I believe this is the strongest prayer ever done by someone to God, in the whole bible. Jesus knows He and the Father will be glorified soon, by Jesus sacrifice, and yet he is praying for them to the father to protect and keep them united not only for their sake, but for our sake, too. The prayer is sacred and comes deep from Jesus heart, in pain, because he knows his desciples will be scaterred if Father God doesn't do something for them. That,s why He stayed on earth and appeared to them and continued to give them courage and hope that He will not let them alone. An He didn't. On the day of Penticost He gave the Holy Spirit to all believers who were gathered , knowing what Jesus said, would do it too. Yes, He didn't leave them alone, but sent the H.S to every believer. I praise Him and the Father and the HS every day for coming into my life, Amen
  • Maureen on Genesis 12 - 12 years ago
God is Faithful in the sense that he keeps to his promises. God told Abraham that: I will make thee a great nation, bless thee and make your name great. I will bless them that blesses you and curse him that curses you.Althought the promises long a long time but at the set time it came to pass. According to the scriptures Father Abraham stager not at the promises of God through unbelief but he was strong in faith giving glory to God. No wonder it was counted to him for righteousness. This tells us that if we are patient enough, in Gods own time he will make all things beautiful in our lives.

VERSE 8,9 I MADE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE I KNEW WHO YOU WAS AND WHAT YOU WAS BEFORE YOU WAS BORN AND DON,T BE AFRAID I AM PARTLY DEAF HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT AM I OR WHAT MORE CAN I DO,I FIND MY SELF TALKING LIKE A PROPHET AND SPEAKING THE WORD OF THE LORD TO HIS PEOPLE AND THEY RECIEVE IT WITH JOY,I WAS AFRAID CAN'T HEAR AND WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME AS A DEAF PERSON, THANK GOD FOR LEADING ME BECASUE HE KNOWS WHO I AM AND WAS BEFORE I WAS BORN ,I MAY CONTINUE TO LET THE HOLYGHOST LEAD ME UNTIL GOD SAY TO ME THIS OR THAT'S WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO I KNOW HE NEVER LEFT ME NOR FORSAKEN ME.

  • Stephanie on Malachi 3:10 - 12 years ago
God is so faithful to us. You can never out give God. When know better you should do better. I was paying 10% off my net pay and when I learned that I should pay off my gross I did just that and God has not only meet the needs of my family He has given me an increase every year. I tested Him and found God to be faithful.

I don't think the number of stones is as important as the choosing. Being smooth and round, they were the most perfect projectile, and in David’s practiced hand the most deadly. My question to myself is "what spiritual weaponry am I choosing to practice with daily, with the help of the Lord, that I might be better prepared to defeat my enemy, Satan?

  • Rebecca on Proverbs 3:5 - 12 years ago
New twist to consider. For all you who are weak and sometimes brokenhearted. Jesus said " ...I have come to heal the brokenhearted..." When I read this today it occurred to me. We can not only trust IN HIM with our whole heart. But also trust our whole heart TO HIM. as a faithful creator. Trust in Him, with your WHOLE heart. This one won't EVER let you down. He's a keeper:)
  • Blessed on Ephesians 3:20 - 12 years ago
Am testfying the Love, Grace, Favour, Consideration,Kindness and my Father big heart which no mind can comprehend. He has been a God of possible, I see his grace every day. He is able to above all that we can't imagine. He work is ways we cannot understand. I call Him "my life". My family was meant to mount into nothing according to forces of this world. But God turned things around, he blessed us with all spiritual blessings. We protected us from every distruction. He turned ourlives around for his glory and honour. I love you Jesus Christ my life, am nothing without you. He even changed marks by the power of the Holy Spirit where I could not make. There absolutely nothing he cannot do.
  • Lenore Brashear on Psalms 23 - 12 years ago
My husband recently had two hemorragic (sp)strokes and two crainiotomies to drain the blood out. He was in a coma for over a week. I am not religious though my grandmother raised me in the Presbyterian church.
On the way to the hospital each day for over a month I recited the Lord's Prayer and the Valley of death part of Psalms 23.
The doctors did not think my husband would make it but he is home with me now and doing exercises to strengthen himself and also back on the computer working on his family history books. He is 83 and has multiple medical problems. The nurses and doctors called him the "miracle man".
I don't call it a miracle exactly but something gave him the strength to survive.
  • Jerald Semar on Jeremiah 12 - 12 years ago
Don't be discouraged when the wicked prosper. Concentrate on the promises of God in the word of God and, the leading of the Holy Ghost. Remember that we are dust and all will return to it, we take nothing with us. We have been promised to rise again in translated glory. The wicked will become dust under our feet. Remember the humility of Abraham, he pitched tents on rented foreign land , a pilgrim but his progeny was promised ownership. We also must be subject to the principality and powers of the land we live in but, without surrender to disobedience of the Word of God and, the Holy Ghost. Like Daniel, the Lord will pull us from the fire and the lions den if necessary. We are tested but, not defeated. We have a race to run so, keep your eyes on the prize, even life forever more. Without life nothing matters..the dead own nothing, they can't protect their own graves! We have life in Christ and He rules His Kingdom, He will give every man his inheritance according to His good pleasure. God is good..Praise the Lord!
  • Mockingbird on Psalms 37:11 - 12 years ago
Meek means an awareness of the presence of God. That is awesome !!! God is the God of peace. Therefore we shall delight ourselves in the abundance of peace when we are aware of the presence of God in our lives !!!
