Comment* Christ in a beautiful way prepares the disciples to be accustomed to His absence from them. He is also preparing them for what will beset them when He has left.

I am in the world but I am not of the world : I have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light. Because I am IN and not of the world : I will face difficult times : But I will be of Good Cheer because as Jesus overcame the world so will I .Victory ahead at all times !!!!

The overcomer or conqueror of the world. This strengthens my faith. It provides me with answers for my challenges. It reduces my fear of the enemy. It gives me great hope for the future. And it reminds me that Jehovah rules.

Verse 12-13-14. I'm not clear I really need some sort of understanding what did Jesus mean by saying this verses, an to whom is he referring to come, that will guide us to all truth.???and by saying that, I must go away in order for him to come, which means that can't be Holy Ghost as we pretend, because the Holy Ghost was all the time with Jesus during his live. So who is about to come that Jesus told us on these three verses please!!!?????

Jesus knew that all his disciples would abandon him, but he still loved them. He continued to pray for them and to treat them with love. Jesus definitely had loyal love and he didn't hold his disciples faults against them.

His love for me-because I believe-Yes Yes I know Jesus is from The Father in Heaven.Halleluyah!!!! John 16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

He will guide us into all truth ..not some All...

Irma skeffery 's , God is always with us, he has never turned his back, or left us. The precious gift God has given us when people fail, God doesn 't. I think what he was referring to, is the upcoming scriptures of shedding his blood on the cross, and rising from the dead. God sent such a precious gift of giving his son, to suffer and die on the cross, so we our sins are washed under the blood. God Bless!

According to John 11:16, Jesus Christ is the winner. And Satan,thus, is the loser! Jesus Christ is clearly God, The Messiah! Glory to His Name until His Second Advent!

Ithink the Lord is trying to let us know as much as he loves us,he will not always be with us. He has to do the work of the father that sent him, as Jesus is our intercessor,but at the same time he will send the comforter, remember he 's the father, son and holy spirit. .the three are one.

I think John16 is very good because it let u really know that u must know the father before u can talk to the son because it all comes from the father first and there no jumping over the father first thank u Jesus.

Love the last verse "but be of good cheer for i have overcome the world " It gives me so much hope.

The scripture is template for all experience. God did not give us scripture to limit our experience but to define our experience. If you are relating to God simply on an intellectual level but not experientially then your "interpretation " of scripture will be skewed and limited because it 's defined by your intellect rather than the knowing that comes only thru connection by relationship.

Just a comment i would make , regarding Dennises coments : when i was a new Christian , and had not even read the Bible God gave me words to speak that i did not even know existed , So i believe it is no necessary to read the Bible , although having said that it is definitely advisable , as its not necessarily God would do the same thing twice.

The Holy Spirit is Given to those who DESIRES to follow Jesus. Many people blinded by the truth, they are reading the bible but did not desire to understand it, that is why they say the promise of God is for Israelites Jews only, you are wrong my friend, understand john 3:16, God 's Promises is for everyone that BELIEVES and DO and live by His Words. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. God did not reveal everything to us unless we DESIREs to know it, that is the work of the Holy Spirit, He gives us knowledge, understanding and Wisdom as we read His Words and desires to understand and live by it.. and Keep reminding us to live by the word of God....God Bless....

When Jesus told His disciples the Holy Spirit would bring all things to their remembrance, it didn 't mean this was going to happen for every believer in all ages. It was a specific promise to the disciples who were going to provide "The Apostle 's Doctrine " for the church. This is not to say the Spirit doesn 't help a believer to remember Scripture that has been read, learned and studied, but just to point out a common error amongst believers.

This is a powerful message that God have a promises to us. Jesus is so faithful to his promises that he will send us comforter, Jesus is not living us comfortless, his love and mercy will always follow us. We must trust him and love God and praised him for everything he have done to us. Jesus loves you and will always with us. A Savior and our King loving Father

Jesus through his word gives us confidence that even thou we will be hated or even killed we must continue to have faith. He warns up that others will kill us thanking they are doing it in the name of God because they do not know him. However he will leave the world and return again. Leave again and send the holly spirit to be our comforter in this evil world

I like how vs 7-15 tells about the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told his disciples that He would send the Comforter to them. He could be in more places than one at the same time. The Holy Spirit Comforter would: convict the world of sin He convinces the world of righteousness and of judgment. He is OUR Guide, our teacher, our comforter. He is the 3rd part of the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He does the drawing of the sinner to Christ, He convicts them of sin. He has power given to Him by God the Father and Jesus. Come Holy Spirit we need you!

John 16 has so much to hold unto. It talks about the comfronter coming to teach all truth. In jesus we have peace.

what is the original word of the Comforter in Jesus language that he has been speaking?

We walk this earth in sorrow without Christ. Once we find Christ believe we are filled with the holy spirit become full of joy in our hearts.
