To say that not even Jesus knows is dangerous, after all He and His Father are One, and Jesus is the one descending on that day. That being said the "knoweth" in Matthew 24:36 as well "know" in 1 Corinthians 2:2 are the same Greek word and can mean to "make known" depending on the context. So given the context of both passages. Jesus is saying that no one will declare or "make known" that that day or hour except his father. Just like Paul is saying he didn't come to teach or "make known" anything other that Christ crucified. Paul also says in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 Says that we "Christians" are children of light and that, that day should not overtake us unawares. God has provided us many examples or signs that we can look out for that we can be ready for his coming. Matthew 24, all of Revelations, Daniel chapters 2,7,8 11, and 12, as well as some chapters in Ezekiel, Isiah, and Jeremiah. Just like Christs' baptism, and crucifixion was accurately predicted in Daniel chapter 9:23-27

Here is what I see is going to happen. This vaccine for Covid 19 has nano particles in it, is to get your body use to the chip (so your body will not refuse the chip) that is in the vaccine. They say the chip is to let them know that you have already had the first shot. But here is the thing, the people that refuse the vaccine will be flagged and the government will issue that it is mandatory that you receive this vaccine. If you still refuse to take this vaccine then the military will come in and take you to a concentration camp (as for Biden)

Mike, "death is unreal" - Death is very real, in fact, there is a second death. Revelation 20:14 The first death is separation from the body/Earth, and the second is eternal separation from God and to the eternal torment. "The wages of sin is death" Romans 6:23 Very real, and nobody else in the scriptures had more to say about hell and damnation than Jesus.

According to the church. All things that come out of it! There are way, way, too many interpretations. Since we live in a free nation we will be subject unto these . However ,Prior to the fall of Rome, mediately before and after, the word became the truest and most convincing. The Holy Spirit will always do the the work , we are remiss too do! God is merciful, and will finish the work that needs to be done! His ways are past understanding. Pray, I say Pray, that His will be done! We have a beautiful new church whos doors are closed? When can I see IT!

William, "the whole armor of God without going through the whole Bible" Whole, means just that, the whole word of God. Wouldn't you be unprepared if what you needed was what you overlooked? Armor requires maintenance, whether cleaning mud from the feet, adjusting the grips of the shield or chin strap of the helmet, or sharpening the sword. The prepared soldiers are those seeing to the details of their gear, and in doing so, develop a confidence in the effectiveness of that gear. The battle will come to you, what's your hurry,or, are you already being thrashed? I will pray for you, that is, as shoulder to shoulder on the battle front.

You're not doing anything wrong. If you believe Jesus was the son of God and have sincerely asked God to forgive your sins you have already been born again. If you're interested in understanding the Bible better, I recommend looking into Shepherd's Chapel Bible study videos. They explain the Bible in detail verse by verse with context and cross-reference to other relevant verses.

There will be harmony! This is why we have the old testament! The same spirit of forgiveness found in the blood of Christ. The hope found in the promises to Abraham, to Isaac, Jacob, Are and will be the same hopes that will live in the heart and soul of GODS people! Heaven and earth ,what else would you say about it!

If you're truly sorry, God has already forgiven you. But it's also important to forgive yourself. If you were already saved years ago there's no need to be saved a second time; that's what Jesus died on the cross for.

Addressed to Steven, you are not understanding what Replacement Theology really is as the whole of the bible is about replacement theology , The 2 nd Adam replaces the 1st Adam . The stain and the spot of 1 st Adam is REPLACED by the blood of the lamb that taketh away the sins of the world WHICH IS REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY . As God told Abraham cast out the bond woman and her son for the bond woman shall shall NOT be heir with the FREE WOMAN and her Son which is Replacement Theology. Old Jerusalem is replaced by New Jerusalem. King David replaced King Saul.. Remember PAUL replaced Saul. When God told Israel that he wd give them a New Covenant replacing the Old covenant not according to the old covenant. That was replacement theology . As a NEW HEART AND A NEW SPIRIT IS ALSO REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY. And i cd go on and on Steven eyes you have but you see not . Mankind needs a new replacement which is the H.G. OUR NEW INNERMAN, IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST JESUS HE IS A NEW CREATURE. This is the Godly definition of replacement theology. And the levitical Priesthood is replaced by the Melchisidec Priesthood, its all over the bible. ya wd have to be blind not to see it . But the bible schools cd neva see it.

    Suzanne....

I'm praying for you sweetie. I'm praying that the LOVE of God will so envelope you, that you won't be able to do anything other than submit to truth.

The truth of the matter is that, nothing you've done can separate you from His LOVE.

Adam told you the truth, yet in all of that and in all that my brothers and sisters have shared with you the main thing is.....God loves you and desires your heart! As long as you have breathe in your body, you can run back to him!

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and NONE of us can come to God except by him.

My heart connects with what you are expressing about your friend. I too lost a close friend dealing with some of those same issues. I made the decision not to rekindle the friendship although I still love and care about her.We are both Christians. Life happens to us all, stuff happens to us all.

When you're dealing with a deep wound like that, it just takes time. We have to sometimes repent all day long for what we're feeling and what were saying about it but you can continually ask God to help you with your feelings and emotions. He's faithful and He loves you. All of us continue to fall short and Jesus is still at the right hand of God, making intercession for us.

Whetever you are dealing with, sexual orientation or whatever it is.....you can still go to God. He knew before the foundation of the world that YOU would have these issues. He understands and He's made a way, through the Blood of Jesus.

Each one of us will give account for what we decided to do with Jesus. I encourage you to run to God again and talk with Him about it ALL my friend.

Your heart is precious to Him and your life is priceless to Him.

And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated."

The anti==Christ has made himself into an image of Light! He wishes to control all things, but if you watch closely, you will see that God is the one who has the final say in all things! Christ has determined what can live in the heart of Man. The Anti -Christ wishes He could take the heart and soul of a man! As long as the spirit of Christ lives, the anti Christ days are already determined! He shall never succeed! Christ is KING! watch AND pray!

So I think I understand you: that God was alone in Heaven in eternity & it was Him & the cherubim that were involved in the creative work. And then when it came time for Jesus' appearance, you said "God manifested as a man name Jesus in New Testament; God as the Holy Spirit in Resurrection - all of these titles only belongs to Jesus."

So to the first point & to my first response to you on this matter: how do you understand Colossians 1:16,17 & John 1:1-3 & following verses?

To your second point: if God is now manifested as Jesus, & I assume you say that there is presently no God in Heaven except Jesus Who now God, then what do you make of Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 7:56, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 10:12, 1 Peter 3:22, & others. I'm confused.

I suppose the Trinity issue doesn't come up until these points are dealt with first. Thank you.

  • Robert Malit - In Reply on Deuteronomy 18 - 4 years ago
Cris - in Genesis 1:26 pronoun "us & our" were used, because there were cherubim present. You left out Genesis 1:27 which says this: Notice used of singular pronoun (he & his)= Verse 27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." the reason for the change in pronouns is because God is the only that created man, and all things. The cherubim were there as messengers of God.

In the Old Testament, only Titles were used for God whose name was kept secret.

God, Spirit, LORD, Word, Redeemer of Israel, Holy One of Israel, Adonai, Yahweh, El Shaddai, Creator, Deliverer, Elohim, I AM,

    Prophesy of Prophet Isaiah:

Isaiah 7:14 14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

God is a Spirit - without blood, water, flesh, bones, is invisible to the naked eye. God humbled himself, manifested himself in the flesh a man name Jesus, who suffered, shed blood on the cross to cleanse man from sins, died on the cross, buried then rose from the dead on 3rd day, ascended into heaven, sent the Holy Spirit to indwell in our hearts = gifted us eternal life or salvation.

Jesus is the name above all names, all the titles used in the Old Testament and New Testament belongs to Jesus only. So Jesus is God and God is Jesus - no other God. Those who preach the Trinity are misleading people, preaching a gospel that contradict the true gospel of Jesus during his earthly ministry with his 12 apostles.

In summary = God in creation Old Testament; God manifested as a man name Jesus in New Testament; God as the Holy Spirit in Resurrection - all of these titles only belongs to Jesus.

    In the New Testament, these titles were used;

God the Father, Son of God, Son of man, Christ, Holy Spirit, Savior, Messiah, First and Last,

In Hebrews 9:22 - 22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Thank you for sharing so intimately Suzanne. I know, life get's quite difficult & complicated when we have to experience hurdles or sadnesses that might cause us to lose our grip on it. In your case, after the passing away of your Aunt & then an Uncle, you began to console yourself somewhat by needlessly buying things. While it's true that we respond differently to situations, it's more important that we realize that we are no longer in control of ourselves & doing what is right for our lives, & seek to stop our actions, committing ourselves to the Lord for help.

We have a lady friend, a good Christian, who grew up in a very poor family, barely having any comforts in life apart from a bed & other essentials. Also being abused as a youngster, added to her sadness & poor outlook on life. After her marriage to a fine Christian man & both having good jobs, she all of a sudden came 'into money' which she never had before. Not having the privilege of learning about administering finances, she started to buy things (e.g. if she liked a pair of shoes in one colour, she had to have it in all the colours available in the store so she would have a matching pair for her (many) clothes). Her husband despairs, but understands where she's coming from & to some extent allows her. But what we see is a reaction, however abnormal & absurd, to a life of poverty earlier.

Even though you have bought cheaply over the internet, it's still money that has not been wisely spent - it helps to think that we could put aside that spare cash to give to someone in need - it may become more satisfying to you to see the expression of appreciation on someone's face than of a build up of silver objects in the drawer. And of course, the Lord would be pleased by your acts of love to your 'neighbour' & denying yourself. Commit this specific weakness (certainly not a major sin) to the Lord - ask Him what you can do for others or provide for another's needs, that can help you overcome this weakness.

    d. shield of Faith: when the enemy's arrows of fear & doubt come at us, our faith fully established in the One Who is altogether Faithful & True, will be our shield to bounce those arrows off.

    e. helmet (for the head) of salvation: a direct hit here would kill us in an instant - but Christ's salvation has saved us & will continue to save us in our battle for our hearts & minds.

    f. sword of the Spirit: our only offensive weapon which we use adeptly sending out our thrusts of God's Word against the enemy (as Jesus did & withstood Satan saying, "It is written").

    g. praying always in the Spirit: unlike the warrior who hopes he will come out alive from the battle, our victory is always certain as we always seek the Lord when the conflict rages, engaging Heaven's host when the going gets a little tough. The Spirit of God is never far away & comes when we call for help, in faith.

Those are just some of my thoughts to guide you William. Remember, if the enemy does get through your armour that means that you've not put it on or you have left yourself exposed in some way to his attack. If you're fully dressed, nothing of Satan can harm you. You may stumble - you may squirm at an arrow of temptation hitting you, but you cast it off & march on. To this advance, Satan trembles. But don't relax - he's lurking in the darkness awaiting another opportunity.

    Page 1.

Reading & understanding the whole Bible may help you to better understand the ways of God & the Devil & learn from it, but to use the armour of God as given in Ephesians 6:10-18 is your outline for full spiritual combat & defence that the Spirit of God equips every soldier engaged in Christian warfare.

The Apostle Paul, had a good look at a Roman soldier's outfit as they probably often marched through public places. Paul being the astute man that he was, saw the clear similarities of the soldier's armour so prepared to engage a visible enemy, to what the Christian should also wear as he battles the invisible enemy. And indeed, "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (man-made) but mighty through God (God-given) to the pulling down of strong holds" ( 2 Corinthians 10:4).

So Paul tells us to put on the WHOLE armour of God - any piece missing gives an opportunity to the enemy to score a strike. This armour suggests a close combat situation, unlike modern warfare where little of this is seen as battles are conducted over great distance. So we're reminded that the spiritual forces against us are nearby & ever ready to engage us in an instant.

    a. loins (the waist area) strapped with Truth: Truth holds our body armour in place; we must keep Truth tightly fastened, cherish it & let it be our defence as we face the taunts & lies of the enemy.

    b. breastplate (covering the chest) of Righteousness: we are made righteous only through Jesus Christ & so clothed with His Righteousness, our hearts are protected & kept secure in His Love.

    c. footwear of Peace: not just the foot but also the leg are protected. Where Satan would love to cause us to stumble or render us lame in our warfare, our feet are so shod with the Peace & Joy of Christ's salvation that our forward march is both careful & considered as we approach an enemy full of anger & rushing about as a roaring devouring lion. We are a different enemy, where peace & joy rule our hearts & so we approach him.
