Avon hi look at 2 corinthians 4:1-4 good stuff remember also Ephesians 6:12 it is never a sense knowledge or headtrip. the bible is the only correct book on Spiritual knowledge and power, besides that people do not believe in sin, so their already perfect they think.

Hi bro its Rick The word of God states in Ephesians ! : 4 that God new before the foundations of the world we would be born and believe in the same sense God all knowing new He would have to save us from the adversary by Giving the perfect human sacrifice His only begotten son. No where in scripture does it literally say that physically or in any other form Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God, that is a matter of how someones interpreting what is being read . Like I myself have lost count on how many interpretations I've heard or read on one verse of scripture. Just keep one thing in mind either the whole word is perfect and fits with life or something is lost in interpretations. The great reason for denominations is that men have decided what they believe it says, the apostle paul one of the greatest men of God that ever lived made this statement 2 Timothy 1:15 all of Asia turned away from what God told him to teach that was about 80 years after pentecost, and this Guy was given to write the seven church epistles and in Ephesians 4:4 There is one body one spirit and one hope and one lord and one Father, I did'nt write the book, since thats supposed to be the case you explain to me what happened other then one man saying this is what I think and another man saying the same. I'll stick paul in Galatians one six -twelve I'll stick with paul and The Gospel that God Gave Him, also he was so important thatJesus Christ appeared to Him.

It's a sad commentary to think Judah/Jerusalem - didn't have within the entire nation righteous persons that could avert YHWH's judgment. He sought but could not find no not one, they even spurned HIS plea to them it seems. How sad! Not so unlike USA 2021 in many ways. It's time for a national time of repentance.

Alex you left out a couple of verses. Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 3:14-15 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Hi John Its Rick I've got a few guestions and I don't argue scripture that being said Jesus Christ said I can do nothing without my Father, it says in Gods Word no man has ever seen God , it says in Gods Word God is spirit you can't see taste touch smell or hear spirit when Jesus Christ was on the cross He was talking to Himself? Now i,m not here to argue again but the trinity is not in kjv. and its origin started with the meeting in nicea and it was called the nicene creed before that the belief that God and Jesus Christ and holy spirit being one in entity did not exist, notice I didn't say purpose I said entity also let us not forget that Christ now sits at the right hand of Gods throne. Also in the Gospel of luke !:80 it says that the child grew and waxed strong spiritually I he was God there is no need to get spiritually stronger also in book of James 1:13 it says God can't be tempted neither temp he any man and yet my bible says Our brother was tempted in all ways yet he didn't sin. This in no way take away the reality that Gods only begotten son in the flesh accompllshed the greatest the greatest achievement which was to believe perfectly who he was and deliver us to His father and ours.

Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake "IN TIME PAST" unto the fathers by the prophets,

    Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

    Brother Rob,

There is no need to get sharp. We are just trying to understand why you say believing Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one with God the Father is "damning". No one is saying Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are not OF God. We are saying they are more OF God than anything else in all of creation. Nothing is more OF God than Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. It is confusing why you think it is "damning" to believe God is in them, or they in God, more than anything else.

Please don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from God the Father. Who is of coarse Spirit and the source of all things.

Also you didn't answer the one question I asked about if you believe Christ existed before He was born on earth. Just a yes or no question. You just asked me if "I understand God was before the creation of world". Which you must not have read John 17:5 I posted for you that answers that question. Jesus stating the glory He had WITH THE FATHER before the world was.

    God Bless.

  • Rick Mentzer - In Reply on 1 John 4:1 - 5 years ago
Not disagreeing with the pride thing because natural man does not believe he needs saved from anything the big ie sin. hence if you don't believe in God then you won't believe in sin then there is no reason for a saviour.
  • Rick Mentzer - In Reply on 1 John 4:1 - 5 years ago
Mild Bill no human being can will himself to be saved it was Gods active will ie determined action to be saved by Grace through his son no man can say i will implies he did it, he believed Gods word and will to be delivered he did'nt will it himself. it is Gods will for people to believe His word and get delivered His way.

Comments by Alex on the Abrahamic, Issac and Jacob Trinity. Early Israel knew that Abraham Issac and Jacob were the 1 singular FATHER of ISRAEL , But they were 3 distinct beings . Father Son and Granson, Several places in the bible we read about Father Abraham , and Father Issac and Father Jacob The great Promise was made to only these three men that their seed wd be multiplied as the sands of the seas until God made that Promise to Christ impling an Israel of God was coming via the seed of Christ . The Children of Promise the Israel of God that will come in his NAME whosoever receiveth one such child in my NAME receiveth ME Which is the H.G. THE child of Promise. Once ya understand the sower and his seed you will understand the babes and the sucklings our fruit unto God, our new HEART. Thats y he was calling for Elijah to come and turn the hearts of the fathers to the CHILDREN at that last and terrible day. Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil child you will in NO wise enter there in, A lil CHILD IMPLIES A BIRTH,OUR NEW BIRTH via the seed of the sower . She brought forth a man Child, then John says now is come salvation and the Kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ the CHILD tH H.G. I'M obsessed with the sower and his seed which are the Children of Promise th 2 nd coming . The kingdom of God can only come as th new birth. Thats y he always refers to himself as the SON OF MAN. There is a baby CHRIST in our near future the son of man.

Carol the only righteous people were on the earth at the time of the flood were noah and his family many people think Genesis 6 ;2 refers to beings of the true God not so look up original language translation. Also old testament law forbad any written recording of any spiritual occurance had to have Gods name on it. That does not mean the True God actually did the work. Remember John 10: 9+ 10 the thief cometh not but to steal kill and destroy. Thats the adversary also in corinthians the last enemy to be destroyed is death therefore death is an enemy of God.

1st Samuel 28_15 was this really Samuel? Remember, he is dealing with a witch, which has a familiar Spirit. (Demon)Spirit. How can she have the power to raise up Samuel?and God certainly doesn't deal with witches.

I need prayer for a miracle for a situation. Mercy, understanding, peace, calm and Gods help for the entire situation. Healing for the two people in the situation, healing in our bodies. Wisdom for the doctors to figure everything out and time, extended time to get everything done. But especially understanding from authority and mercy.

He's speaking hypothetically - "For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;" - key words being "For if".

That part of the chapter talks about if a rich and poor man came to your house, and you treat the rich man well and the poor man poorly, then "Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?" I'm not fully sure of the literal meaning of that verse, but it seems to mean if you did that you'd be judging people based on their outer appearance instead of who they are inside, and changing how you treat them based on that, which would be a mistake.

What they say should line up with what the bible says. If they speak against the word of God then they aren't of God. There are false prophets, and to know the difference between the 2 you need to know God's word.
