    Hello Leland,

Seeing your comment I just feel to post this. If a person has truly been "born again" and given their lives to the Lord. Repenting of all the things they have done in the past and living a new life for the Will of God. I believe anyone can become a servant of the Lord, or "Pastor", showing that no matter what someone has done there is always hope for them. Proving Jesus Christ is waiting with open arms for everyone.

As this may help other people, who feel guilty, in showing them how great the love of God truly is. As we look at the Apostle Paul. Who actually targeted followers of Christ to persecute and martyr them before his conversion.

Now if the person is not genuinely converted and serving the Lord. Still being into those past things. Steer clear of them.

    Hope that helps some.

Adam, you are not even considering verse 18, which tells us Christ could not be The Most High. You must take into consideration the conversation Christ had with those who hated him and accused him of being God. Do you remember it? It is recorded at John 10:24-39. When Christ said: I and the Father are one. They became angry, believing he was making himself equal to The Most High. How did Christ answer their charge? He refers his opposers to a Psalm 82, which records The Most High condemning the judges of Israel, who were perverting justice. Yet He called them 'gods'. Why? Because they had delegated to them judgment of life or death, wielding great power.

Then Christ concluded with the statement: Say ye of him whom the Father sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemest, because I said I am THE SON OF GOD? (Capitalization mine for emphasis)

Here Christ clearly defines his relationship with The Most High. He is the Son of The Most High, not The Most High.

As I tried to explain in my first comment, we have all been duped and deceived by Satan until now. We are now in 'the time of the end' when the Word would no longer be 'shut up' and 'sealed'. However, just as their were those who could not hear the truth coming out of the mouth of Christ, to day the world will not listen to the truth coming out of the mouth of Christ's 'brothers'; the 'predestinated' ones Paul wrote about extensively at Ephesians 1 and 2.

The truth is available to all men because few have been 'born again'; baptized in water and Spirit. Without Spirit, one cannot hear the words of Christ. To sum up, you have heard the truth, backed up by Scripture. You must decide whether you should continue to cling to the deceptions that have hypnotized the world or pray for The Most High's Holy Spirit to grant you understanding.

    Peace, seeker of truth.

I request prayers for my eldest daughter who has suffered with a severe affliction for many years and will have a very serious surgery on 11/5. She and I were both recently baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. I would also asked that prayers be made for my sons, both whom have turned away from our Lord and have invested their belief in the ways of the world. Thank you and God Bless.

The important point of this lesson is the division that will come, not necessarily the count. Jesus Christ is the great dividing line in humanity, whether we are his or not. We are shown here that even our families and households, where unity is presumed, will not be exempt.

The list of relationships would be typical of a household in Israel. Father/son, mother/daughter, mother in law/daughter in law. If married, a daughter would then be joined to her husband's household.

Matthew 10:34-38 is a parallel passage emphasizing that Jesus Christ must be our primary allegiance, above even our closest kin.

    John 14;6-9

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.
  • Adam - In Reply on Acts 13 - 5 years ago
Disagree. John 1:1 contradicts what you just said. It says "the Word was God" and you just said the Word was "not" God.

This reminds me how Genesis 3:3-4 Eve said they'll die if they eat the fruit and satan said "Ye shall not surely die." - the exact opposite of the truth.

Satan is the father of lies, he deceives people, even people who think they are right, he's usually the one behind it all.

So, since you're claiming something other than John 1:1 is true, how do we know you're not the one who is deceived? What is the evidence that what you're saying is the truth and not a heresy from satan?

    God bless...

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. ( Psalm 111:10)

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. ( Proverbs 2:6)

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. ( Proverbs 15:33)

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. ( 1 Corinthians 1:24)

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: ( 1 Corinthians 1:30)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. ( 1 Corinthians 3:19)

You are correct, death is the devil's way. The Canaanites dedicated themselves to the devil resulting in their own miserable destruction. God gave them more than 400 years to repent ( Genesis 15:16). Then the LORD, to whom the promised land belongs, judged righteously and cleaned them out.

I agree with you 100 percent. The living word is God. I don't believe the bible in itself is the word of God, but the word is in the bible (book). Everyone now calls the bible the word of God especially in the religious institutions.
  • WESLEY BARNARD - In Reply on Acts 13 - 5 years ago
John 1:1 The Word of God is NOT God. The Word was sent forth the represent and articulate The Most High's repentance to Israel, which was 'lost'. A verse 18 testifies: No man has seen God at any time. This fact cannot be denied. Christ was the 'light to the Gentiles' at Isaiah 49:6 foretold. Paul also testifies that The Most High is the only one having immortality and no man has seen him. These facts tell us Christ, the Word of The Most High is not God.

Indeed, Revelation 12:9 is cited, which exposes another humbling truth: We have all been deceived by Satan the Devil. His deceit has been so thorough that billions worship Christ as God, unknowingly. The Most High has a personal name at Psalm 83:18, Yahovah, yet we never hear His Holy Name. Why? Who wants to erase that name? Satan the Devil, who has deceived the whole world.

However, we have now entered a period of enlightenment, if we choose to pursue it. Daniel 12:4 tells us that 'the book', the Bible, would 'shut up' and 'sealed' until when? Until 'the time of the end'. Few would argue that we are NOT living in 'the time of the end'. Yet, how many of us are prepared to accept and absorb the 'knowledge increased' promised?

Indeed, you have just been presented with several new revelations: the worship of Christ is IDOLATRY, for he is not Yahovah and we have all been 'deceived', tricked, fooled by Satan, the Father of the Lie. We have learned that the Word of God has been 'sealed' and 'shut up' for millennia until now. Now, we have access to the truth if we want it. However, to have access to it, we must be 'born again', spiritually recreated as a new creation. Can we receive it? Pray for Spirit from Yahovah, The Most High Elohim and He will give it to you. This is what Christ died and shed his blood for - the truth. Shalom dear ones.

Such questions we can only grapple with because God is infinitely more wise than we are:

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! ( Romans 11:33)

Romans 9 has some further development of this mystery of why the LORD bestows grace and mercy on some.

He knows the end from the beginning, and surely he knows the point where a person, by their own free will, will remain obstinate in unbelief, thereby ratifying their own destruction.

God does not want anyone to go to Hell:

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ( John 3:17)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ( 2 Peter 3:9)

Who is God in these times When much confusion is swearing around us?. Day to day we go in a haze of not knowing what to expect next. He is our Savior whom we must all fear. He is our Life after our death. His Son is our Savior in the new Heavens that will surround His followers. So what do we do when all hell comes upon us before His coming. Faith..all keep the faith..Do not straddle the fence no matter what happens. Keep strong in His Loving Light. Go the way Jesus did for others when He walked this Earth long ago. Look at all His Father's creations. Stand still and listen. He will softly say.....He Loves You!!!

A heretic is some one that refuses sound doctrine and teaches something else .

They can be admonished but resistance proves they are self condemned.

There is so much heretical teachings more than ever .

Only one truth and that is Jesus .

Jesus said clearly beware of false teachers .

    they will be the majority!

    Matthew 24. Luke 21 ,

All the apostles warned as well .

Stick close to the word of God ,

Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow me . They will not follow a stranger , Jesus is our shepherd and protects his sheep , even laid down his life for his sheep !

I'm blessed and can say he has delivered me from so much evil in my life ! Amen !

When God does something it's forever .

You may need to know that God knows beginning to end . So his sovereign decision is not with out total knowledge.

Can we intercede for them yes we are instructed to pray for all men . They in themselves will never repent . But God may hear and answer our prayers , but the answer is his again . Possible for them to get saved ? I'd say so but doubtful .

really, at no greater time should we be resolved to hold our tongue! I know this from my own experience, that when the times are evil indeed what a little fire will kindle. These days are dying and dry without righteousness. If there is no righteousness, there will be no peace! What wisdom found in these words. Escalation, a word we do not want to hear again.

Jesus gave us plain teachings about the end times , in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 and other places .

If we take heed to what he said we will not be wondering or perplexed about how it unfolds .

We are to be faithful stewards to him if he comes or not in our life time . If we are doing his work faithfully we have nothing to fear . His coming is our hope so that's what we look for . If we get preoccupied with this world or deceived by false teaching , we are not looking or ready for his coming .

Antichrist has not even come on the scene so it's a way off from now the coming of the Lord , Antichrist must come first according to Apostle Paul and the rest of the Bible .

I don't read all posts on this web site , often responses to some of them don't get through .

What will say if this gets through is I have not learned much at all by comments I have read , I see a lot of errors . I thank God for the Bible and life is Good . These are dark

days . But the word of God is light everywhere , I hope it gets brighter . I have learned from reading Gods word things I never heard anywhere before .And still more ! Awesome

Read for yourself the Word .

I'm not interested in correcting everyone in their errors unless they want to be . But I don't like deception at all it effects a lot of people .

You cannot comprises the word of God or be a friend with the world that is an enemy with God . These are just temptations. God bless as you seek the truth and sell it not when you find it !

What is a heretic? A pastor is saying that those who left his church are heretics and have instructed his congregation to have no more communication with them and to no longer associate with them. He has even told children to leave their parents and divide away from them as the parents. Those people were saved before attending and are now attending a closer Bile Baptist Church which teaches the Bible doctrine and salivation.

    Lets have the Bible interpret:

    Psalms

    Chapter 23

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

    ( Isaiah 40:11)

    ( John 10:11)

( 1 Peter 2:25)-For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

( Rev 7:15-17)-For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

( Psalm 19:7-9)-the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

    ( Psalm 3:3-8)

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

    ( Revelation 21:6,7)-

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    ( Luke 6:36,37)

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Can a pastor convicted of embezzlement and adultery and served prison for these of fences still be a pastor?
  • Brandon - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 5 years ago
Divorce is adultery in the bible. I have been divorced and remarried and believe Jesus Christ has the power to forgive my sins. I believe Jesus Christ has the power to forgive any sin because he is judge. As long as we repent in sincerity and do not continue in the sins we have repented for. I believe divorced people can go to heaven but thats between you and the Lord. Pray to him repent and ask for guidance.

Matthew 5:32 - But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

    John 8:2-11

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
