    Thanks Mishael,

I like you, too. We both have soft hearts for others and are encouragers. We both have a lot of experience walking with the Lord for many years, but very different lives, yet have some good things to share with others. It is good that God has drawn us both here on this site to learn from each other and others who post here. We are blessed here.

    Brother Dan:

Do you believe God will send sinners to hell:

Is GRACE not what abounds to all men, man says you have to believe, Grace says at each man's appointed time; GRACE will CAUSE you to believe. You don't Chose me, I CHOSE YOU.

Philippians 1:29 For it is GIVEN TO YOU on the behalf of Christ, TO BELIEVE ON HIM....

Brother Dan, you were GRACED, being able to BELIEVE, you are chosen to be a vessel of honour, but God chooses to make some men to be vessels of dishonour.

Does GRACE not also apply to them, and when God GRACES them with BELIEF they will RESPOND.

Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the ELECTION OF GRACE.

Romans 11:6 An if by grace, then it is no more of works, otherwise it is no more grace.....

Romans 11:31 Even so have these also NOT NOW BELIEVED, that through YOUR MERCY they may obtain MERCY.

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours shall come upon mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

Ephesians 2:7 That in THE AGES TO COME he might show the exceeding riches OF HIS GRACE in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ.

    God Bless You.

    Brother David:

Did Satan deceive Christ when he tempted Christ; NO, because he had spiritual KNOWLEDGE.

Eve was deceived because she had no spiritual KNOWLEDGE, if she would have had that KNOWLEDGE she would have been like Christ and would not have been deceived.

Romans 8:20 It's God's word that says, MAN WAS MADE SUBJECT TO VANITY ......

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceive, but the WOMAN being deceived was in the transgression.

1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding the WOMAN shall be saved in CHILDBEARING ...

Revelation 12:1 And I saw a great wonder in heaven, A WOMAN......

Revelation 12:2 And she being with child (the new man created IN CHRIST) cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

We are the WOMAN, whether we be male or female, and we are going to deliver a new creation in the likeness of Christ, the Father of that new creation.

Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are CREATED, and thou RENEWEST the face of the earth.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a NEW heaven and A NEW earth: for the first (old) were passed away ......

    God Bless You.

Hi Keith, Good question. We must remember that as David had several wives and concubines in his day. It was not looked upon as a sin. It was basically a custom, and a show of wealth and power. But remember, David committed adultery with

Bathsheba. When he saw her on a rooftop taking a bath, lust settled in his heart. He committed the sin of adultery with her, and she became pregnant. He sent her husband Uriah into the heat of the battle, knowing he would be killed so he could have Bathsheba to himself.

Lust overtook David which led to coveting another man's wife, which led to adultery.

Chris This is the reason that everywhere Paul preached followers of the circumcision or the jews would

come after him and talk people out of the grace. The leaders of the law wanted Paul dead.

Bro Dan You cannot walk by the spirit and throw the commandments aside because the walk by the spirit

includes the greatest commandment. Walk in Love The rest your speaking of is stated in Hebrews 4 whole chapter, our rest

is in the completed work of Jesus Christ and following that work in our walk. The example used is the children

of Israel in the wilderness who copped out everyday i.e. quit believing or were dishonest in their hearts. Daily

is the choice believe the Word or the World. Paul said to imitate Him as he imitates Christ, It Is Written!

You misunderstand the passage Jesus did not destroy death it is still hear. when Jesus was in the center of the Earth for three days as Jonah was in the belly of the whale Jesus came out of hell victoriously with the keys to death, hell, and the grave. The reason Jesus went to hell was to get the keys to death, hell, and the grave. Jesus took the keys away from Satan. Before there was no way to get by hell except God take them from the Earth or God buried them his self like God did Moses. Because Satan held the keys to death, hell and the grave. Praise the Lord we do not have to face hell we are free as long as we are saved by grace and under the blood that Jesus shed on calvary.

Chris GBU But I don't think that them that are converted by that living Word can fallaway as Jesus said my sheep cannot be plucked out of my hands and my Father that gave them me is greater then ALL and no man is able pluck them outa of my Fathers hands. So i don't think that Mary was a back slider . Jesus said where ever this Gospel is preached this also what she has done shall be told for a memorial to her.

I think you are still misunderstanding the concept: God tugs on the heart or calls us we listen and except God are we turn a death ear to God. If we except the tug or the call from God than the blood is applied to our life our sins are forgiven. But this is where the freewill comes in if we turn a death ear to God than God leaves us in our sins and at judgement, we will receive our reward good or bad, Heaven are Hell. God said in Genesis 6:3 My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: this is the reason for our freewill to except God or to deny God. If we deny God than the blood can not be applied to our life. But if we except God than the blood can be applied to our life. Matthew 7:6 tells us not to give what is holy to the dogs, now in saying that do you think God is going to do that which he told us not to do and do you think God is going to cast his precious blood before swine. Just saying.

Earl You got more twist than Chubby checkers in his prime, Eve was not subject to vanity until she disobeyed and

neither was Adam. God blamed serpent [used for His slyness in function] or satan who tricked Adam and Eve to

becoming useless as he is. Now Gods grace again Gen.3:16 -20 explains the consequences of their unbelief and

what he had to do so they wouldn't blow it worse, and his plans for our Saviour. The True God Always secures

protects and defends even when we blow it. That's the grace and mercy. When you take Gods Word and make

black white and white black and it becomes grey that's the enemy's territory or did God Really Say That!

We want to strive to be absolute in mind on It Is Written because when you question everything you can't

really believe or focus on anything, Eve questioned the only thing she was told NOT TO DO disobeyed the only

thing that God knew was the tipping point! Thank God through Christ when we blow it the tipping point has been

    rounded off so to speak.

Why did King David and Solomon have hundreds of wives and concubines when the Ten Commandments forbade adulterers?
  • Alex N - In Reply - 4 years ago
Chris gbu but you remind me of the workers that were complaining that they had borne the heat of the day and they received the same wages as the last workers . You are saying y should the gospel be preached, y should the spirit come to indwell US ,y should we live holy lives if they get the same wages as US ETERNAL life The last workers got the same as the 1 st workers but the 1st hired were complaining that he had given them the same wages as the last hired . And his answer was is your eye evil b/c i am good . Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature . The good the bad and the ugly he died for everybody and everybody gets the same wages eternal life and a kingdom. He cd not teach us to forgive our debtors if he himself does not forgive all his debtors HUMANITY. Thus in the end everybody will be forgiven their Sin debts. We will all ALL have to go thru the baptism of fire WHICH IS THE H.G. As our God is a consuming fire Mal. 3 : 1 Who shall abide the day of his coming ,who shall stand when he appears ( 2 nd coming ) for he shall be as a refiners fire and fullers soap which is a cleasing fire the baptism of the H.G IS THAT FIRE. Remember Jesus said he came to bring fire on this earth meaning everybody in the end when he comes again. Every sinner will have their part in the lake of fire as our God is a consuming fire.

    Hi Sister GiGi,

You make some very valid points and I basically agree with the flexible aspects that you presented. God will look at our hearts, and will weigh our sincerity directed at His 4th commandment.

I think the main thing that we need to remember is the Sabbath Day is for mankind to rest. Many people today don't know how to rest. There are a multitude of blessings that God's gives us for following this particular commandment.

I know that you agree that it is good, and my main focus was to emphasize that the Sabbath is not bad - but good!

    Hi Bro Rick,

Thanks for all of your feedback, and you make some good valid points.

I understand and agree that we should walk in Christ 24/7. But, I also believe we should take God's commandments to heart. If we actually have the Spirit we really should be. It is helpful, to also keep God's commandments front and center in our minds and in our hearts, so that as we walk with the Spirit we can confirm that we are really following what we think we are, and have not fooled ourselves, or slipped away.

All of God's commandments are good, and so talking about them and stressing them, focusing on them is helpful. To just throw them aside and say "Hey I'm walking in the Spirit, and everything I'm doing is just great, and God approves of me" can become problematic.

Lastly, I truly believe that God commandments/Law keeps us grounded and focused on the prize!

Chris When we get either caught up or tied down to legalism mentally we cannot walk in freedom in

Christ Jesus Spiritually. If God new it wasn't good enough to get the inside job done why should we

believe otherwise. This is what Paul fought constantly because of unbelief, this guy many times in the

church epistles said Phil. 4:9, I am your example follow after me as I am of Christ!

    Amen Bro Earl,

Great response, and good examples of unbelief!

I agree, that unbelief is the main ingredient that causes us to sin!

Satan does cause confusion, leading to disbelief.

John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 1 Corinthians 13:12, Revelation 10:4, 1 Timothy 6:4

Sometimes we have to understand its not for us to know everything and understand all that is written.
  • Chris - In Reply on Colossians 2 - 4 years ago
Amen Rick, well written. Yet, the matter of "the cross removing the curse of the law" & "after being born again start with a clean slate", might have bearing on what a believer should do when confronted with the Law in the Bible. Most will 'play safe' & want to obey the Law because it's in the Word after all, & the right thing to do before God. But the Scriptures tell us in Galatians 3:10,13, that the Law which is Holy from God, now becomes a curse to those still under it or those who put themselves there. And that Christ has redeemed us from that curse & by extension, has set us free ( Galatians 5:1).

Maybe, folk haven't thought it through when they say, 'I obey the Ten Commandments' or, "I follow God's Laws". I can understand what they mean, but theologically, it's a dangerous statement, because one cannot be "in Christ" & "under the Law" simultaneously. It's one or the other. If bound to the Law, judgement comes from that position. If bound to Christ, the Law & its curse are removed, we're set free, & we're led in newness of life in obedience & maturing by the Spirit.

    Hi Bro Earl,

I believe you have make some good and valid points regarding disbelief.

We have many today that also have disbelief. Many believe that God will not send sinners to hell. Many hear the Word but really don't believe it. This conversation is an example of this mindset. God gives us commands but we do not comply or we disregard and we find a multitude of reasons why we don't have to observe God Commands. Then when we receive the negative outcomes promised, we can't believe it!

Hi Kimberly There is a study done that highlights why four gospels, each gospel highlights a certain aspects

of our saviour's ministry on earth including his birth Mathew as King, Mark as servant, Luke as man, John as the Son of God. Also

the reason 4 Gospels the number 4 pertains to the world biblically, i.e. 4 seasons of the year 4 times 6 24 hours

in the day, man has 4 growth stages, so the Gospels represent our Saviour's ministry on earth. Everything God

God put in His Word is there for a specific reason like examining creation or nature up close. My favorite example

is humming birds because what they can do is aerodynamically impossible!. Also the alaskan wooly caterpillar

in winter hybernate's and in this state has no blood flow and no pulse and yet in spring thaw comes back to life

In Psalms 138:2 God says above all his creation stars planets earth etc. the greatest work is His Word! thou has

magnified thy word above all thy name! Look up numbers in Scripture

Hiya Cowboy Gbu But actually its him that chooses us not US that chooses him. When we were yet dead in sins Christ died for us, everyman . But when the book that is in the FATHERS HAND IS OPENED he will pour out his spirit on all flesh as Joel said in the last days he will pour out his spirit on all flesh. Cowboy mans carnal mind wd neva want anything to do with Christ ,As the carnal mind is the very enemy of God. Its Gods spirit that will move on us and make us Hungrey and thirsty for him.....By my spirit saith the lord...Its all him Cowboy. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son . Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world . But yes we need to repent also .
  • Rick - In Reply on Colossians 2 - 4 years ago
Chris This statement blotting out the handwriting of ordinances refers to where in the old testament when a

person went into debt to another individual or declared bankruptcy it was posted on the gates of the city and

made public for all to see. Now if a friend would come by and would look at the note and go and pay the debt

then the note was folded over so people knew the debt was paid in full.

Jesus Christ blotted out by his sacrifice of himself all our past present and future mistakes nailing them

to the cross thereby removing the curse of the law. Basically all after being born again start with a clean slate

so to speak. Our debt or so to speak sin paid in full.

Hey G.M. Chris GBU The blood is transduced to the living word WHICH IS THE H.G. thats y he is saying you are made CLEAN by the Word i have spoken unto you, It was his blood that made us ALL clean, But Jesus says you are made clean by the Word I HAVE SPOKEN UNTO YOU WHICH IS THE GOOD SEED THAT WILL FORM A BABY CHRIST IN US WHICH IS THE H.G......We cannot go back and recoup his blood from Calvary but WE NOW HEAR HIS WORDS, HIS VOICE, THE SEEDS OF THE SOWER THAT WILL FORM Christ in us that keeps us and leads us to all truth I.E. the contents of the book in the father's right hand is the New Covenant which are the WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE ,REMEMBER the words of life the book, As Jesus was the Word made flesh and Blood thus we are made clean by the WORD ( The seeds of the sower ) That is gona result in a birth of a baby Christ in us that Child of PROMISE ,Behold I SEND THE PROMISE of my FATHER UPON YOU Which was baptism of the H.G. that Jesus said wd guide us and abide with us forever..He does not leave us orphans after conversion to the Child Which is the H.G. The H.G is the Child that leads us to the mountain the Kingdom . Hebrews 12 : 22 ye are now come to mount Zion that heavenly JERUSALEM, the city of the living God etc.
